I haven't really watched any fono video novelas so I can't comment on JLP.

The first episode of La Heredera was good. It didn't have any commercials!!!! They didn't show any opening credits either (at the end they did have a cast list that was quickly cut off to show the news.)

Is this based on a real event? It is the first one to say that is isn't based on real people.

I liked that it has a "realistic" look to it. (Real open heart surgery) If I didn't know better I'd say it looked like something from Zuba.

I did hate Lauro's hair as well as Juan Manuel Bernal's (is that a toupee?).
