Julia Montaño es una joven de carácter fuerte y arrogante, y la mujer más hermosa de San Gaspar, un pueblo olvidado donde su padre. Don Julio, es el hacendado más rico y poderoso. Es ella quien se ha hecho cargo de la hacienda, mientras su hermano Álvaro se dedica a la vagancia, a emborracharse y a abusar de su posición. Soledad su hermana menor, es una chica tímida que sufre por la indiferencia de su padre y se refugia en su fantasía.
Don Julio y su amigo Ignacio desean que Julia se case con Francisco, el hijo de Ignacio, para unir las fortunas de sus dos haciendas. Pero Julia terminó su noviazgo al enterarse de que Francisco la engañaba con Eva, una mujer de cascos ligeros. Desde entonces muchos han intentado conquistarla, pero Julia desconfía de los hombres y los trata con desprecio.
Don Julio está enamorado de Casandra, una mujer ambiciosa y oportunista a quien sólo le interesa su fortuna, Casandra vive en la capital, le gusta apostar fuerte en la baraja y tiene varios amantes, aunque el único que realmente le gusta es Gabriel, de quien se ha enamorado hasta llegar e la obsesión. En un juego de poker preparado por Casandra, Gabriel gana la hacienda de Ignacio, y éste le pide un plazo de tres meses para pagarle y recuperar sus tierras.

PRIMERA
SEMANA 3/8-11/05
USA, 3/8/05 -
FIRST EPISODE: Yucatan. WE see a cattle roundup: men, and one woman,
on horseback pushing a herd of cattle.
Switch to Mexico
City. A room with 4 men gambling. One man bets a diamond and loses. He has his men point guns at the
winner. The winner leaves, calls the
loser (Roberto Ballesteros) a bad player.
The other two men leave.
At a hacienda,
Don Julio and the Profesor talk briefly.
The Professor shows a necklace to a maid(?), Doña Carlita, and asks if
Julieta will like it. She assures him
that she will. A drunk Alvaro jlins
them. He doesn’t like Carlita. Another man, Francisco (Roberto Palazuelos),
joins them. They wonder if Julieta will
come to her own party.
Then Alvaro
flirts with Matilde who doesn’t like his attentions. Another man, Samuel, joins them.
Francisco talks
with his father, Ignacio.. Francisco
walks away. Don Julio greets
Francisco’s father. The latter tells
Don Julio that most of the men there are after Julieta. They argue about the way that Don Julio has
raised Julieta, almost as his heir. Don
Julio gets angry, says that he has raised his three children equally - although
with attention to their differences.
Back to the
roundup.
Gabriel goes to
an apartment and a woman, Cassandra.
After they have sex, they go back to the living room and she tries to
find out more about him, but he is reluctant to answer. Then two of the woman’s “friends” arrive.
At the hacienda,
Francisco and Eva argue about her being there.
Julia joins them briefly. She
and Francisco are joined by Don Julio and walk away. Doña Clara tells Eva that she doubts she was invited. Eva admits that is true and walks away.
Francisco,
Julio, and Julieta sit down at a table.
Julieta taunts Francisco about his relationship with Francisco. Julio objects to her topic of
conversation. Julio leaves, followed
shortly by Francisco. Then Alvaro
leaves. Julieta is left with her sister
Soledad who reprimands her. Julieta says
that she was only telling the truth.
She is angry that her father wants her to marry the lover of that
women. The Professor sits down, greets
Julieta. says a few words. She walks
away.
Ignacio Andrade
visits Casandra. He is there for
gambling. The group sits down at
table. A bit later, Ignacio asks if it
is ok to write a check. Gabriel says
that he trusts friends of Cassandra. After
the game is over, Cassanddra criticizes Ignacio for losing more than he
had. Gabriel comes back into the
room. Ignacio suggests another game,
for his hacienda. Ignacio loses again.
In his study,
Don Julio talks with Clara about a husband for Julieta. After Clara leaves,
Julio thinks of Cassandra. She could
fill up the emptiness he feels.
Gabriel goes to
the pueblo, sits down at a table in the restaurant, meets Francisco. Francisco complains about his father.
Chepe visits
Julio’s hacienda and flirts with Clara.
In his study,
Julio tells Ignacio that he has decided to marry Cassandra.
Francisco takes
Gabriel to the hacienda. Gabriel sees
Julia and asks who she is. Francisco
says that she is the owner’s daughter and is going to be his wife. Francisco
introduces Gabriel to Julia and the two argue about their earlier
“accident”. Julia walks away. Alvaro introduces Soledad to Gabriel who,
again, hedges when asked what he does.
Francisco talks alone with Julia and tells her that the vet says the
animal wasn’t seriously hurt. Julia
walks away and greets the bride.
Gabriel talks to Julia again.
She continues to be rude to him. He tells her that he likes fierce
women. He walks away. Julia asks Francisco to stop Alvaro’s
drinking. Alvaro, Francisco and Gabriel
join Julia briefly.
In his study,
Julio asks Ignacio if he thinks Cassandra would marry him.
Julio sees
Gabriel and greets him and questions him.
Julio tells Gabriel that they like strangers to respect their rules and
traditions.
Soledad tells
Clara all about Gabriel. She thinks he
is wonderful.
That night,
Julio talks with Julia about Gabriel.
He thinks he can do business with Gabriel. She expresses her dislik for Gabriel. A bit later, a drunk Chepe joins them briefly. Father and daughter resume their
conversation. He wonders if Gabriel
would be a good husband for Soledad.
In the hotel, Gabriel
sees Francisco kissing Eva outside her
room.
Francisco and
Gabriel talk in the restaurant.
Julia has
nightmares. It seems to be about a
struggle in a bedroom between a man and a woman. A young girl walks in.
(Is Julia seeing her father rape a young woman?) She wakes up. Clara comes in, guesses it was the same nightmare again. Julia says it seems more like something she
experienced. Clara tells her about
Soledad’s enthusiasm for Gabriel.
The next day,
Julio and Alvaro talk with ? about some kind of problem.
Meixco. Cassandra goes to the hotel’s reception desk
and learns that Gabriel has left with no forwarding address. A man pays particular attention.
Julia and
Soledad swim naked. They hear their
horses neighing. Julia,leaves the
waterand puts on a shirt, picks up a gun.
It is Gabriel. Julia pulls the
trigger.

Julia tells Julio that she is pregnant
(today), tells him not to tell anyone, espesically not Gabriel.
Francisco tells Gabe that he's a dummy becasue
Julia loves him
Julia faints out in the middle of a
field....meanwhile Julio congratulates and thanks him for making him a
Grandfather...back to Julia, Chepe finds her and brings her back to her house.
He brings in Lazara to help "cure" her. Gabe comes in and think she
is trying to kill their child.
Alvaro and Lucero get married next week I
believe.

I'm sorry I neglected to provide details of
where July 25th left off; I meant to do this but forgot. July 25 ends with
Julia getting out a gun after learning earlier in the episode that Justo has
control of her house etc. Other characters were left as follows: Soledad was
packing to leave her house with Alvaro sort of trying to change her mind;
Gracia was ease dropping on the two doctors, Eva and Francisco had just left
the cantina in a huff, Gabriel and Chepe were talking at the prision cell, just
before, Alvaro had been talking to Samuel about Soledad. I am interested in a
description, of course, of how Julia confronted Justo and was kidnaped and the
story line about Soledad. Bare in mind that I may never see this episode.
I would also be interested in your
commentary besides the description.

the baby that that lady brought to Lazara
yesterday will die and is the baby that they will but in the barn so that
J&G think is JUlio Gabriel is dead
JUlia goews into a deep depression and goes
to Mexico, where she finds out Gracia is pregnant with Gabriel's baby and
decides to divorce him. She refuses to have any more children.
Julio Gabrile is with Lazara and while on a
bus they have an accident and he ends up in an orphanage.
Lazara dies.....
Julia finds out that Chepe is her real dad
Justo kidnaps Julia again with Nadi's
help.....beats and and leads her to belive he rapped her.
after Julia is rescued she is in the
hospital for few days, then she finds
out she is pregnant and thinks is Justo's

Episode
Julia runs to
Gracia's side. Alvaro is about to shoot her telling her she's going to join
their father when the agents following Julia sorround him. Alvaro threatens to
kill himself when Gabriel arrives and runs to Julia and Gracia's side. Julia
begs Alvaro to tell her where her son is when an agent shoots him. At the
hostpital Julia tells Gabriel that Gracia was trying to make up to her the
wrong she had done but took a bullet for her instead and is now dying. She
hopes Alvaro wakes up so he can tell them where Julio Gabriel is. Sebastian
arrives and informs them that Gracia is grave and will probably not make it.
Julia feels faint and he takes her to be checked. Domingo brings Angel to
Gabriel and asks for his sister's condition when the surgeon appears and tells
them that Gracia is near death. Chepe wants to see his daughter when she
arrives and tells him she's fine as she goes to the baby's side. Gracia tells
the nurse she wants to see her son and talk to Julia and Gabriel. The nurse
looks for them and they along with Domingo enter Gracia's room. Gracia kisses
her son and tells Julia she tried to help her and doesn't regret getting in
between her and Alvaro. She tells her that she did her a lot of harm and wanted
to make it up for her by getting her son back but it backfired on her. She
tells her she saw Julio Gabriel with a nurse, where he was and what Alvaro told
her to do. She promises her son that no matter where she is she'll always look
out for him. She asks Julia to take care of son and she promises her telling
her she'll love him like her own son and will tell him about his mother. She
begs her not to tell him all the bad things she did and tells her son that
she's not a bad woman and says goodbye to him. She tells Domingo to give him to
Julia because he belongs to her now. Domingo and Julia say goodbye to her and
they leave so she and Gabriel can talk. She asks Gabriel for forgiveness and he
says that he's the one that has to ask for forgiveness for not being able to
love her like she loved him. She tells him she's always going to love him and
asks him for a kiss. He kisses her and she dies. Julia tells her family that
it's not fair that Gracia is dying and that she left her Angel to raise. Chepe
tells her that a tortured soul has to die in order to rest. Gabriel tells his
family that Gracia has died. The police question Alvaro and he says he'll only
tell Julia where Julio Gabriel is. The police find some clues to where Julio
Gabriel might be. Julia asks Alvaro where her son is and he tells her to beg
and when she does he tells her he's dead. Crying she tells Gabriel and he enter
his room and attacks him. The police struggle to get Gabriel off of Alvaro who
is laughing at him but they finally succeed. The police ask Julia for Julio
Gabriel's blanket as they get ready to investigate a parking lot. Alvaro thinks
back to where he left the baby, in a car trunk. The guard dog finds the car and
Julio Gabriel is reunited with his parents. They thank the police for all their
work and help. Julia and Gabriel make plans for the future. Alvaro is put in
prison where he meets up with an old cell mate who has his way with him. Eva
and Felipe makes plans to get married. Alvaro offers the commander to tell him
where the baby's body is if he gets him out of prison but he tells him that he
left several clues and that the baby is alive and he sobs. Six months later in
San Gaspar, Felipe and Eva get ready to get married with all their friends
present. Leonardo asks Soledad to marry him. In jail Alvaro gets in trouble
when he looks at his cell-mate and in retaliation he grabs Alvaro and gouges
his eyes out. The ceremony begins and when the judge asks Felipe if he accepts
Eva he walks away. Everyone is shocked but he laughs and returns to her side
and everyone joins in the laughter. Everyone congratulates the couple and also
meet Sebastian's new girlfriend when Julia suddenly goes into labor. She's
taken to the hospital and Gabriel asks Sebastian to deliver his daughter. Complications
arrise and Gabriel begs Sebastian to save both his wife and daughter. At that
moment Julia passes out. Ten years later, Julio Gabriel tells Angel he'll bet
his marbles if he races againts him and he agrees. Gabriel tells them they
should never bet on anything unless it's on love. At that moment Julia arrives
and Alma asks her father if she can ride her horse alone. He agrees saying that
if she's anything like her mother she'll be fine when Chepe arrives and tells
his grandchildren they have to go with him. Julia tells Gabriel that if she
were to be re-born she would fall in love with him all over again as they
pledge their love for each other.
