www.esmas.com. Sinopsis. Andrea Rosales es una joven que ha vivido en el pequeño
pueblo minero de Real del Monte desde que tiene uso de razón. Su belleza física va de la mano con una fortaleza interna que la hace
anteponer el bienestar de los demás al de ella misma. Al iniciar la historia,
Andrea está comprometida para casarse con Manuel Soto, un apuesto ingeniero
minero. Daniel González es un joven idealista que jamás
habría imaginado que tenía vínculos con Real del Monte. Pero un accidente que
pone en riesgo su vida hace tener una visión que lo hace ir a ese pueblo a
buscar a su abuelo, Gonzalo Rivas Montaño. El viaje de
Daniel se convierte en destino cuando surge el amor entre él y Andrea. Para
muchos de los habitantes del pueblo comienza a repetirse la historia de amor
que había vivido Gonzalo con Elena, y que terminó en tragedia tanto para él
como para Real del Monte, pues los eventos del pasado hicieron que Gonzalo
cerrara la mina que poseía. Cuando Andrea rompe su compromiso

The story begins in Real del Monte, Hidalgo where Andrea 'La Guapa' (Adriana Fonseca) gives her 15th birthday dress to Lucina (Francesca Guillen) for her celebration. Refugio (Patricia Martinez) gets emotional and thanks Andrea for giving her daughter such a nice gift. Andrea looks for Lucina and she catches her and El Gato (Jorge Poza) kissing. She tells her brother and the young girl that they need to be careful and wait. Lucina thanks Andrea for her gift and says she's excited about her upcoming dance. Two henchmen harrass Joel and tells him he's going to pay for snooping where he's not supposed to and cut a cross in his hand. Andrea talks about her boyfriend Manuel (Alexis Ayala) who is scheduled to return to town very soon. Andrea's mother Sabina (Ana Martin) jokes with the birthday girl. In Mexico City, Daniel (Jorge Salinas) and Liliana (Yolanda Ventura) are on their way to do some investigative reporting when Daniel tells his girlfriend that he wants to celebrate their anniversary and she tells him she's working and to busy to think about personal things. They take pictures of men moving merchandise when the police arrive and arrrest the thieves. Ernestina (Mariana Seanoe) tells Gonzalo (Ignacio Lopez Tarso) that he has to take his medication and recalls when he was younger (Alberto Estrella) and met Elena (Rebeka Tamez) who happens to be his fiancee Olga's (Alejandra Barros) half-sister and she realizes that there is an immediate attraction between them. The henchmen kill Joel and chop his head off. Father Buenaventura (Jaime Lozano) is informed that another miner has been killed and all blame it on the 'Lost One', Elena and he tells him that figure doesn't exist. Daniel and Liliana argue about their relationship, he wants to get married and have a family and she doesn't. Everyone learns of the death and ask who it could be since he has no head when Lucina asked for her father and Refugio checks the body and says it's her husband Joel from a mole on his knee and everyone is shocked. Rosendo (Juan Carlos Bonet) shows up at the wake and is confronted by Andrea and her family and has no other choice but to leave. Daniel tells Liliana he doesn't want to lose her and they make love. The next day Daniel is on his way to a location and suffers an accident and is seriously injured. Cecilio (Jose Carlos Ruiz) visits his friend Gonzalo and tells him he's being questioned about the murders since he's the owner of the mine and his friend asks him if he also believes his late wife's spirit is responsible and he says he doesn't believe that. He reminds him that he vowed revenge on the townspeople for lynching Elena for believing she was a witch. Daniel is taken to the hospital. Back in Real del Monte Refugio doesn't want to bury her husband without his head but the townspeople convince her to bury his body as Lucina recalls her father. The doctors fear the worse when they examine Daniel as his parents (Arsenio Campos and Macaria) arrive at the hospital. The town of Real del Monte learn the state is sending federal officials to investigate the murders when one of the workers says the person to blame is Rosendo but they ask him if he has proof. The doctor informs Daniel's parents that if he doesn't improve he's going to have to operate. Gonzalo arrives at the wake and asks all present if they believe his wife Elena's ghost has anything to do with the recent deaths when he sees Andrea who is wearing a cross that belonged to Elena and Sabina tells him she gave it to her daughter. He leaves swearing at all present. Rosendo believes he got away with Joel's murder and that it's being blamed on Elena when Ernestina arrives and tells him she loves him. Lucina wants revenge for her father's death but Andrea tries to tell her not to ruin her life. Santiago (Juan Pelaez) tells his wife Sabina that his daughter Andrea is brave and she tells him he molded her that way. Cecilio's daughter returns home, divorced. The funeral procession begins as Rosendo tells two workers to listen in on any information Refugio divulges. She tells Santiago, Refugio and Andrea what her husband saw the night before and that Rosendo caught him red-handed and Andrea says that he had him killed. Daniel keeps getting worse and the doctor says he's going to operate or he'll go into a coma. Daniel flat lines as doctors try to revive him and he sees a bright light. Elena appears to him and tells him that it's not his time to die and to look for his grandfather Gonzalo.
The previews for this week show Manuel returning to town and asking Andrea to marry him and Daniel meeting Andrea.

Telenovela-World: monday summary

if i have mistranslated anything, and
someone can correct me, feel free. i'll do my best for tuesday's episode later
on today. here goes:
andrea and lucina show up as the fight
continues with manuel getting knocked down. andrea gets mad at him for fighting
with daniel. manuel tells andrea to keep away from daniel, but she sez he’s
just a guest at the lodge. he tries to sweet talk her, but she already acts
like she doesn’t really love him, even though she sez she does and you can tell
they’ve been together for awhile.
daniel goes to a cantina full of miners.
the two main henchmen of rosendo make smart remarks to him in their drunkeness,
which he ignores. daniel gets a beer, drinks it, pays for it and is leaving
when one of them jumps up and grabs him by the jacket. daniel headbutts the
guy, who falls down. the other henchman tries to throttle daniel, but daniel
isn’t quite as borracho as they are and he fights the guy and kicks his ass.
then the other guy gets up and daniel slams his head into a pillar. some of the
other miners come out, but don’t do anything and daniel leaves. he’s a marked
man now.
ernestina is scheming with rosendo. she is
putting something which i assume is poison in gonzalo’s medication; he’s kinda drunk.
i can’t figger out her relationship to the old guy. i guess just someone caring
for him. later, gonzalo welcomes two men; a priest and the guy who went with
andrea to the building with the packages, who i assume is a licensiado. this
guy is looking at ernestina in a meaningful way behind the other two men’s
backs like they’re in cahoots or something. all the men start playing cards.
the poisoned medication is still sitting there and ernestina keeps looking at
it nervously. gonzalo tells them one day while he was drunk, he asked olga to
marry him, even though elena had not been dead long. (i *think* olga and elena
are sisters or half-sisters or something like that.) he sez he paid dearly for
doing that. he thinks back to he and olga being in bed the first time and
they’re making out and he’s calling her elena. ooops. naturally, she gets mad
and storms off. “she made me pay,” he sez. don gonzalo goes to get more money
to bet and while he’s gone, the padre and licensiado laugh about how gonzalo
has a shrine in the mine to elena, and how he talks to and sees elena still.
the licensiado keeps raising the ante, but gonzalo beats his hand. the padre
leaves and the other two play on. (i get the feeling that everyone is trying to
get the mine from gonzalo or at least ruin him, but i’m not sure on that since
my spanish is such crap.)
manuel and andrea go into the lodge and the
madam and her whore seem very interested in manuel. everyone is really nice to
the hookers. daniel shows up looking very hunky with his hair all messed up
from the fight. he and andrea sit down and she asks him why he’s sweating! LOL!
he tells her it’s hot. they’re whispering and looking like lovers as the
hookers watch them. daniel is teling andrea since his accident, things have
really changed for him. evidently his seeing elena when he almost died has
really affected him, since he saw the pic of her and knows it was his grandma.
andrea and sabina (her mom) talk and andrea
sez she’s confused and bummed out. she sez she doesn’t feel the same about
manuel ‘cuz he seems to have changed and gotten aggressive and jealous. sabina
asks andrea if she likes daniel. andrea sez she doesn’t know. sabina tells her
manuel is a good man.
the two henchmen who got their asses kicked
by daniel whine and cry to rosendo, who tells someone on the phone to wait for
him and they all take off.
santiago, daniel and andrea are talking at
the lodge and manuel shows up. andrea wants to leave. manuel starts up with
daniel again.
andrea and manuel are eating with the padre
and manuel’s mom and talking about getting married. everyone wants them to but
andrea. manuel again brings up daniel, like an idiot. now all andrea and manuel
have for one another is words about daniel. manuel should shut up and get on
with it. you can see andrea is pulling farther away each minute. he looks
really ugly when he gets mad, too. daniel, on the other hand, just looks more
gorgeous.
andrea’s walking down the street and, of
course, sees daniel. he tells her by moonlight, she looks more beautiful. now
he’s really trying to get her to stay and hang out under the stars with him.
she sez no ‘cuz of manuel. daniel’s telling her he’s really jealous of manuel
and they kiss. ruh roh! sabina sees them and gets very worried ‘cuz andrea is
really kissing him like she loves it. RUH ROH!
now, this womin i wasn’t sure about
yesterday, she’s the licensiado’s daughter... she drives up to gonzalo’s with
her mom. mom sez it’s incredible these things are happening and she gives the
daughter money. she asks, “can’t your father wait ‘til tomorrow?” the daughter
goes in with the chauffeur and talks to ernestina. she wants to know why
ernestina is there all the time and ernestina tells her she lives there now.
she goes to the two men and evidently, gonzalo is her god-father. she’s
bringing her father money so he can gamble some more and she’s really
embarrassed to do it.
next, some guys are unloading big boxes
from a bobtail truck and putting them in a building. rosendo is talking to
ernestina on the phone. he sez something about he’s working on something that
will fulfill their destiny.
manuel and his mother are eating and the
padre is there talking about joel (the original guy who got his head chopped
off) dying without confession and how sad it is. manuel asks if ernestina
visited joel before he died, and the padre sez yes.
sabina sees on the news the story about the
miners dying mysteriously that daniel has given to liliana at Es Mas, and
everyone freaks out that rosendo will really be pissed off when he hears the
story is out. andrea sez she’d like to see his face right now.
you hear a phone ring and rosendo answers
it. ernestina is telling him about the news. he tells her not to worry.
andrea gets mad at daniel for reporting what’s
going on in the town. he’s holding her hand and asking if it bothers her when
sabina walks in and they act guilty.
rosendo and the henchman take a statue of
an archangel from a store and put it in a box.
the miners are talking down in the mine about
the news story. they think rosendo is going to be in trouble and things will be
ok.
andrea and lucina are leaving in the jeep
that got shot at. they end up in an alley and park in front of an SUV and go in
the shop where rosendo stole the statue. amazingly, the statue is back and the
girls choose it for a gift. rosendo sees them leaving with it and asks his
henchman, “where is the archangel going?” he goes in the shop and yells at the
vendor. his henchmen tell him they’ll get it back, don’t worry, but rosendo
storms out in a huff. the vendor and the henchmen look at one another and
shrug.
ernestina sees daniel when he comes to
gonzalo’s (remember, daniel is gonzalo’s grandson) house and tries to kiss him,
but he backs away. she tells him he doesn’t waste any time and they talk about
the news story. she starts kissing on him again and he’s really pushing her
away, but darn it! he’s just not strong enough for her! silly. the camera pans
left and you see manuel standing in the doorway, watching them.

me. i will learn that way and i don't mind that kind of criticism.
manuel yells at daniel to let ernestina go,
even though he’s trying to get her off him the whole time. the boys almost
fight, but gonzalo shows up and they stop. ooooook...ernestina and manuel are
brother and sister. din’t know that before. gonzalo tells manuel just ‘cuz
ernestina works there doesn’t give him the right to get in fights. ernestina
tells manuel the same thing after gonzalo and daniel go off together. they
argue about how she’s acting slutty and he sez rosendo is gonna dump her and
she sez they’re gonna get married. haha. i don’t think so. manuel tells her
there’s lots of men and she uses daniel as an example, which pisses manuel off.
gonzalo
tells daniel even though ernestina is throwing herself at him, he can’t act
like a jerk and daniel agrees and apologises. gonzalo sez ernestina is terrible
and if it weren’t for his friendship with the padre, she would spend most of
her time in the street. he sez manuel is a good guy but ernestina isn’t a good
girl.
gonzalo starts showing daniel the legal
documents and books for the mine. daniel wants to know why there is no
documentation for why the mine was shut down, i think, i’m not sure. gonzalo
sez he did it for personal reasons. he talks into a recorder about closing the
mine for personal reasons but daniel tells him there could be exploitations if
there is no documentation. i guess daniel talks rosendo into telling why ‘cuz
he gets out a tape recorder and rosendo starts telling the story. he closed the
mine for vengeance against the jerks who lynched his wife, elena.
the archangel is brought home. they’re
gonna paint it white, like the angels. manuel tells andrea about seeing daniel
kissing ernestina. they get in another fight about it, then he sez he’s
returning to work and he’ll see her later.
at es mas, liliana and the editor(?) talk
about her going to help daniel and that he, the editor, has a plan.
rosendo tells ernestina he won’t be happy
‘til he gets back the archangel.
gonzalo wants daniel to become his
administrator, but daniel sez he can only do it in his free time. gonzalo is
disappointed by this. daniel tells him since his accident, he feels like it’s
his responsibility to report the truth. gonzalo asks if daniel isn’t really
interested in his money why is he there? he sez ‘cuz of the image of elena he
saw and ‘cuz they’re blood. he wants gonzalo to get over his resentment and
pardon the people who lynched elena, but gonzalo doesn’t think he can.
manuel and the licenciado are discussing
something about the documents which i assume mean for the mine. me spanish
fails me at this point, hope someone can fill in what they were actually
saying.
ernestina tells andrea, sabina and lucina
she’ll marry rosendo soon and they act like, “yeah...sure...”. lucina tells her
rosendo is a bad man. then ernestina sez daniel kissed her. sabina sez she
shouldn’t be kissing other guys besides rosendo. andrea shows ernestina the
ring manuel gave her. they start talking about the archangel and ernestina
cleverly asks to see it. she asks where the bathroom window is and who sleeps
in the room where the archangel is.
daniel tells gonzalo he’s going to see the
girl he likes. gonzalo tells him to be really careful.
santiago and the other miners come out for
lunch. he and sabina talk about andrea being unable to choose between manuel
and daniel. santiago sez she’ll marry manuel and there’s nothing more to say.
the licenciado’s daughter comes in the room
where manuel is and gives him a photo album with andrea’s pics in it. then she
tries to rub on him and he gets a bit nervous. she asks him why he never tried
to get it on with anyone else, meaning HER, and he sez ‘cuz he was never
interested. she wants to know if he’s sure that andrea feels the same and
manuel sez they’re gonna be married.
sabina thinks andrea is mad ‘cuz daniel and
ernestina kissed. she tells andrea what her father said. daniel comes in and
santiago asks him to talk. i think he sez he heard daniel is really interested
in andrea, which he vaguely denies. andrea has just come from the bath and her
bedroom door is left open when sabina leaves the room. the towel drops and, of
course, daniel is going into his room and sees her. she gets mad and he sez the
door was open and it was an accident. she asks if he saw and he sez everything
and she smacks him across the face.
daniel hears guitar music and it’s andrea
thinking about when they met. daniel thinks of their first kiss, then andrea
does, then daniel thinks about seeing andrea unclothed.
everyone is getting ready for lucina’s
quinceañera. her boyfriend, el gato, has a mariachi band for her and is singing
with them. he gives lucina flowers and asks for a kiss, but andrea won’t let
them. they’re in the courtyard and manuel kisses andrea. daniel sees them, but
doesn’t seem to bothered by it.
when they all leave for the church and
daniel goes his own way, ernestina seizes the opportunity to steal the
archangel. they bring a substitute which is painted white. the one they take
isn’t painted. i’m still not sure what the big deal with this one archangel is.
if someone can clear that up, that’d be great. the archangel is returned to
rosendo.
in the church, manuel and daniel eye one
another; daniel is smiling, manuel is not. daniel introduces himself to the
padre and asks if he can visit him later. he sees andrea and asks if she
forgives him for seeing her unclothed just as liliana comes up, which andrea
isn’t too thrilled with.

liliana arrives and there’s some guy really
watching daniel load up the recording and photographing stuff in his little
SUV. daniel notices and they give one another dirty looks.
the madam receives a whole wad of money
from rosendo and doesn’t know why.
liliana and gerard (a co-worker from es
mas) check in to the lodge. ernestina is there and meets them. liliana is
hanging on daniel, who looks very uncomfortable to have his two honeys seeing
him with his REAL girlfriend. the creepy guy watching daniel is being really
obvious when he comes in the lodge and keeps staring at daniel.
ernestina
tells lucina she changed the archangel for a white one and andrea is
suspicious. they have words.
andrea overhears liliana telling daniel she
loves him and sees them hugging. later, liliana takes a shower and drops her
towel, but daniel just stands there and she asks if he loves her and he sez no,
but they can be good friends.
one of the townswimmin tells andrea her
husband is missing (i think).
cecilio, daughter and her aunt are talking
and he sez something about the daughter getting a husband.
daniel tells andrea that liliana isn’t his
girlfriend, but andrea just acts disgusted. he tries to kiss her and she’s
backing away and, OF COURSE, liliana comes down and sees them.
liliana asks for rosendo to come to the
lodge for an interview. andrea is a bit surprised and, i think, kinda scared
‘cuz she knows what rosendo really is...dangerous. he comes to the lodge and
then they go to the shop where the angel was stolen. they go in the storage
room. he shows them all the statues of the archangels he has and acts all
proud. daniel wants to know who makes them for some reason and rosendo sez,
“artisans.” liliana goes right to the statue ernestina stole and tries to pick
it up and it’s really heavy. they all leave.
sabina and liliana meet. sabina looks at
liliana funny, like she has a false smile. daniel starts asking sabina about
olga and elena. santiago joins them. manuel goes on vacation and he and andrea
kiss goodbye while daniel watches. sabina tells about elena’s death and rescue
attempt where many miners died from the toxic fumes. liliana asks if they
believe elena’s ghost or spirit killed the miners. sabina sez she doesn’t think
that.
lucina sez she wants to go out with some of
the boys and andrea doesn’t want her to go, but lucina talks her into it. RUH
ROH! soon, she’s making out with el gato and she keeps trying to stop him from
going too far, but finally gives in. they’re almost undressed, but andrea walks
in again and saves lucina from el gato, who should be el raton. lucina thanks
her and they talk about the consequences of sex before you’re ready.
cecilio’s daughter and aunt (evarista) go
to talk to sabina. the daughter, who wants manuel, is so false with andrea when
she enters. andrea seems genuinely nice to her. sabina makes an amulet for
evarista and tells her to wish for what she wants it to do.
a miner takes daniel to the mine that, for
50 years, no-one has gone in. he tells daniel to be careful if he goes in it.
he tells daniel he’ll come back for him, but daniel sez he’ll walk back. the
miners watch daniel go in and are shaking their heads. this is where gonzalo
has that shrine to elena. weirdly, there are lights on down in this mine that
nobody has gone in for 50 years. daniel is thunderstruck by the shrine. it is
exactly in the spot where elena was found dead. gonzalo shows up and gets just
a bit pissed off.
liliana and her party are looking at the
elevator cables as part of the interview. rosendo is again acting quite proud
of what is his. then they go down into the mine and santiago is showing them
the work they do.
ok, manuel is on holiday and he’s in a bar
checking out all the wimmin with nothing on. TYPICAL. andrea can’t kiss daniel,
but he can pick up slutty wimmin in bars. he knows these wimmin from before,
too, it’s quite apparent. two guys in the bar are whispering when they see
manuel. when the slutty friend of manuel’s leaves, one of the men asks her who
he is. she tells them and walks off.

asks him to think more about becoming his administrator full time.
daniel is at the desk of the lodge when
manuel calls andrea. daniel is winking at her while she’s talking. boy, i’d
hang right up. manuel hangs up the phone and there’s the slutty womin from the
bar. TYPICAL.
olga’s daughter(?) is having a dream of
when she was a kid and saw gonzalo after he killed olga(?).
gerard wakes daniel up and sez they’re
leaving. rosendo is driving and 3 of his henchman accompany them. daniel comes
out too late to say goodbye as they drive off. rosendo is buying them lunch and
sez something about the recording and liliana and gerard give one another
suspicious looks. the two of them leave.
andrea thinks about how daniel makes her
feel alive for the first time in her life.
gonzalo tells elena’s portrait that when he
joins her, his affairs will be in good hands after he gives daniel full
control. ernestina hears gonzalo telling the lawyer he wants daniel as his sole
heir. she schemes on daniel againn.
daniel finds a note telling him to get out
of town. later, 2 henchmen see daniel and want to get him, but rosendo stops
them and tells them to wait.
andrea is posing for a portrait done by

margarita(?) is killed. i think she told
andrea something about rosendo a couple days ago and how he found out, i dunno.
la coronela asks one of the hookers about
her date and she’s telling coronela about santiago, but i don’t know what.
santiago will probly end up dead soon.
sabina is telling daniel that andrea is
marrying manuel, but it sounds like she’d rather have daniel for a son-in-law.
she tells him to leave andrea alone, though. daniel tells her andrea loves him
and that should be enough to make sabina happy. he sez maybe andrea is his
destiny, but sabina sez he’ll cause tragedy. a kid runs in and tells them
andrea has gone to rosendo’s office.
andrea walks to the mine and is seen by all
the miners and the two henchmen come out, but don’t see her as she sneaks past
them. she takes the cross off, sneaks up behind rosendo and holds it to his
neck, but he overpowers her and starts kissing on her.

luckily, daniel and sabina come in just in time, and there’s a small tussle.
rosendo tells them they’ll pay and andrea sez he’ll pay, too. the two henchmen
are holding daniel and rosendo tells him he doesn’t care whose grandson he is.
andrea notices her cross is missing, but
daniel has it. she’s mad at him and doesn’t want to talk to him. it’s about
liliana. he wants her to talk to liliana but she won’t. he tells her she’s not
just another girl, but he loves her. she sez she’s already promised to manuel.
he wants her to tell manuel to shove off and he will give her the cross, but he
knows she can’t do that. she walks off and he keeps the cross. damn, he’s so
gorgeous.
santiago, sabina, lucina y el gato are
eating...pardon my ignorance... is that andrea’s brother? el gato? i think he’s
andrea’s brother now, which i never tripped on before or which my poor spanish
kept me from realising. andrea comes in, crying. santiago asks where the cross
is and she sez daniel has it. santiago is mad at andrea for having the Es Mas
people come snooping around. sabina tells andrea to tell her father the truth,
i assume about her and daniel. she asks does he want her to marry manuel when
she’s in love with daniel? he tells her what a good man manuel is...yeah, while
he’s picking up hookers in bars on his vacation...but she doesn’t care.
daniel walks in on gonzalo having a chat
with elena’s portrait. there is an uncomfortable moment, then they talk about
daniel loving andrea. gonzalo is mad that daniel has the cross. he wants it,
but daniell won’t give it to him, so gonzalo gets mad and tells him to leave.
they argue again about the bad ways gonzalo has acted since elena’s lynching.
daniel sez it’s a shame that each day, gonzalo gets older and more alone.
gonzalo tells daniel he wants him to get out and never come back.
ernestina sits with daniel in the garden.
he wants her to tell him how his abuelo really is. she pretends to ask if he’s
having problems with rosendo and he sez no, with andrea. now she’s jealous.
ludivina serna meets cecilio and sez she knows him from a long time ago at la coronela’s bar. he can’t remember her, but she acts very mysterious and mentions marco ruelas.

daniel and gonzalo are still arguing, but
they end by making up. daniel sez he needs to talk to gonzalo and gonzalo wants
to know if it’s about his mom, hanna. hanna is the one who had the dream of
being a little girl and coming in and seeing gonzalo crouching over olga(?)
with a gun in his hand. gonzalo thinks back to this same time, but we see that
olga(?) has really shot hersleg and gonzalo picks up the gun. he tells how
sabina worked there when she was younger with elena and the herbs. they’re
fighting about hanna seeing her mom shot. sabina gets fired. daniel asks if
gonzalo wants to reconcile with hanna, but he doesn’t seem to think it’s
possible.
liliana goes to visit hanna, who tells
liliana she wishes daniel would marry her. liliana just seems to shrug off that
idea as a waste of time. she tells hanna daniel loves someone else now. liliana
tries to convince hanna to go visit real del monte and see gonzalo, but hanna
is adamant that she’ll never set foot there again.
ick. manuel returns from his holiday with
whores, bringing presents to everyone due to his guilt at doing the wrong
thing. can ya tell i don’t like manuel? d: manuel sez he has a “sensational”
surprise for andrea. heh. sensational for him, maybe.
andrea and ernestina get into a fight about
rosendo and what a creep he is. andrea slaps ernestina and when ernestina goes
to slap her back, daniel is right there (ah, the knight in shining armour!) and
he grabs her and tells her to get out. andrea keeps asking daniel for her cross
and he wants to know if she loves manuel. she keeps playing hard to get or
maybe she truly is confused about her feelings. he sez he wants her to love him
like he loves her. he still doesn’t give her back her cross.
eduarda has the two orphans of margarita
and tranquilino, and rosendo comes up. he gives her an envelope full of money
and acts like he’s being beneficent. he gives her his number in case she needs
anything. she kinda acts like she really believes he’s being nice.
el gato and lucina...again with the talk of
how much he wants sex.
when andrea returns to the lodge, sabina
tells her there’s a surprise in her room. it’s a wedding dress from manuel, who
comes out of the shadows and asks if she likes it. she just looks down with a
frown on her face. lucina leaves. andrea sez she likes it but why did he buy
it. santiago and sabina come in, saying it’s bad luck to see andrea dressed in
the bridal gown, which she really isn’t, but daniel is holding it up in front
of her while they look in the mirror. santiago poopoos sabina’s fear. he tells
the two how happy he is. suddenly, manuel gets mad, but santiago stops him and
sends him home. manuel sez, “adios mi amor,” but andrea only sez, “adios
manuel.” santiago sez he wants to talk to andrea in private.
rosendo welcomes the weird guy who’s been
hanging around; he kicks his own henchmen out of his office to do so. the guy
killed the wife of tranquilino, who i think was the miner that got pushed in
the hole. he has the packet of dope that tranquilino was going to use as
evidence(?) the guy wants to know what he should do about watching daniel;
rosendo sez just tell me everything he does and who he hangs out with and gives
him money. ernestina comes in and is pissed that andrea slapped her. rosendo
kinda laughs at her after saying he likes andrea and ernestina wants to know
what’s between him and andrea. as if andrea would. but then, rosendo and
ernestina make up.
manuel shows el gato a gun and asks if he
likes it. the gun is for el gato. RUH ROH. el gato asks manuel about andrea and
then acts weird when manuel tells him he bought her a wedding gown.
santiago again bugs andrea about who she
loves and how bad and ungrateful she is not to marry manuel. i guess ‘cuz he’s
rich, she’ll embarass the family if she doesn’t. every time she asks if he
wants her to be happy, he sez yes, but acts mad about it. he begs her not to
break off with manuel. she very, very reluctantly agrees. ick.
gonzalo
dreams of elena after they pull her out of the mine collapse...i am so confused
about this...don’t they keep saying she got lynched? or is that just an
expression for a mob killing someone? anyway, she’s laying in bed dying and
begs him to help her. now he’s old gonzalo again and he runs out of the room
and goes down to his desk, gets out a letter opener and he must be sleepwalking
or something, ‘cuz it then goes back to the dream where he’s going to kill
elena. then he goes back in his bedroom as old gonzalo and holds the letter
opener up like he’s gonna stab himsleg to death. ernestina and epitacia stop
him.
daniel comes down to breakfast and santiago
accosts him and sez he wants daniel to get out of town.
manuel and his mom are eating with the
padre and talking about the house he bought from cecilio. they act all happy
and manuel tells the padre he wants him to marry them next week!!! RUH ROH!!!
coronela tells rosendo about meeting
andrea, and they plot against her. coronela warns rosendo not to forget who
he’s talking to and warns him not to cross her.
daniel again argues with gonzalo, who’s in
bed, about stopping his vindictive ways against the whole world. gonzalo just
can’t let go. they also talk about hanna and gonzalo asks for forgiveness from
her.
manuel yells at ernestina that their mom
and the padre want her to stop hanging out with rosendo. she asks if the padre
knows who their father is and manuel sez of course not. manuel slaps her for
sassing him back and she slams the gate in his face.
andrea is posing for rita, cecilio’s
daughter, again. andrea is crying and rita asks if andrea’s having money
problems. andrea sez she’ doesn’t want to marry manuel since she’s in love with
another. andrea sez she’s gonna dump manuel, even though santiago doesn’t want
her to rush her decision.
gonzalo’s doctor comes to see him. ernestina
tells of the sleep walking and how gonzalo won’t take his medicine. gonzalo
tells daniel the doctor hasn’t a clue about loving a womin with all your soul.
daniel calls the lodge, lucina answers and
he asks for andrea. lucina tells him where she is and gives him the number. he
calls and when andrea asks where he is, he tells her at his grandfather’s. when
he tells her who his grandfather is, she acts disgusted and sez she and he have
much to discuss and clear up. manuel comes to the house and sez he din’t know
andrea was being painted by rita. cecilio gives andrea his arm and they leave,
so manuel gives his arm to rita, who looks very smug about that. they’re eating
and talking about tranquilino y margarita dying. there’s something about the
FBI investigating. they toast manuel and andrea on their upcoming marriage, but
rita looks like she’s having the vapors or something.
rosendo tells ernestia via phone that he
has a problem that needs fixing. he sez he’s going to talk to cecilio about it.
she tells him she’ll wait, but her patience is wearing thin. rosendo gets a
call from cecilio requesting to see him.
hanna and husband talk about never telling
daniel who his grandfather is. ummm...i think that’s what they’re saying. can someone
please clear this up for me? how is it that hanna doesn't know daniel has
already met his own abuelo?
daniel and gonzalo eat and talk about
gonzalo marrying olga when he loved elena, who then planned to marry manuel
soto.
manuel takes andrea to the house he intends to live in with her. she is less than enthusiastic about the whole thing and he’s basically dragging her around the house. then he takes her to the bedroom and she really gets disgusted.. he starts kissing her and they lie down on the bed. she tells him no and he starts forcing himsleg upon her. truly a rat.

Telenovela-World: USA, 12/20/04 - Doña Eduardo tells Don Cecilio that Rosendo gave her money for some purpose ( I think for the care of the orphaned children), then tore off the part of the receipt with her signature. She is concerned. Cecilio assures her that there is no problem. He will take care of it.
Andrea rejects Manuel. He calls her a cualquiera, is very rude and, I think, slaps her. She returns the engagement ring.
Cecilio confronts Rosendo, warns him not to leave the children unprotected.
Daniel tells Gonzalo he’s sure of his feelings for Andrea and hers for him. When Gonzalo reproaches him for giving up one woman for another like that, Daniel asks him if he thought of Olga when he started courting Elena.
Andrea tells her mother that she returned her engagement ring. Manuel slapped her.
Manuel tells his mother that he doesn’t know what is wrong with him. Lately everything he does turns out wrong and he ends up hurting people. Then he tells her that Andrea loves another.
Patricio doesn’t understand Hanna’s hatred toward Gonzalo and tells her that she should explain it to him or reconcile with her grandfather.
It turns out that both Manuel and Ernestina were adopted when he was 2 and she was 1. Manuel asks Padre Buenaventura how he found him. The Padre says that he knew Manuel’s mother when she was dying, but doesn’t know anything about their father.
Manuel confronts Rosendo about Ernestina. Rosendo’s goons start to interfere, but Manuel’s mother and Rita appear and prevent the fight.
When Daniel returns to the inn at night, he notices that the door to Andrea’s bedroom is open. He goes in and looks at her sleeping. Then he touches her and she wakes up. They talk briefly. He kisses her. He obviously wants more, but she says no, not here, not in her parents’ home. He leaves.
In another bed, Ernestina tells Rosendo that Manuel is right. Rosendo doesn’t plan to marry her. He doesn’t respond directly. He tells her that Andrea broke up with Manuel because of Daniel.
Ludovina visits La Coronela. She tells La C that she has a story La C will want to hear.
Andrea confesses to Padre Buena that she loves another. The Padre suggests that she is just confused. Andrea responds that she is very sure of her feelings.
Ernestina overhears Daniel tell Gonzalo that Andrea confessed that she loves him.Gonzalo tells him that it won’t be easy.
Andrea goes to meet her father at his workplace. He mother doesn’t want to go alone, but she isn’t worried.
Santiago meets Natividad in the cemetery. He has a message from Rosendo about the money - unless Santiago wants his daughter to know everything.
While Andrea is
driving to her father work site, she thinks of Manuel and Daniel.

with the money tomorrow...is santiago a rat? why is he being paid? i don’t
think it’s the same guy who rosendo has watching daniel’s movements.
manuel comes to the lodge, writes a note
and gives it to sabina. he acts very sad, then sez he'll be back later. tough
for him.
gonzalo and daniel are emailing patricio,
hanna’s husband, in the hopes that she will participate and forgive her father.
gonzalo is amazed at the technology. daniel tells him to talk to hanna and, at
first, he’s reluctant. then he sits down and damned if he’s not the fastest
newbie typist i’ve ever seen!!! he’s zooming over that keyboard! d: patricio
shows hanna the emails, but she just sez she hates her father and won’t ever
forgive him and leaves the room. you see gonzalo getting up from the computer
sadly, saying she’ll never answer him. daniel sez he must understand how hanna
feels about what she saw when she was little.
andrea goes to the mine to see her father
to tell him she’s chosen daniel, which pisses him off. he’s telling her how
selfish she is and that she’ll regret not marrying manuel the rest of her life.
ha! NOT! she just can’t convince him. rosendo walks up as she’s leaving and he
and santiago look meaningfully at one another as she pushes rosendo out of the
way.
manuel is in the car with cecilio talking
about the important documents, which i’m still not sure what they are about.
dd! help! manuel complains about ernestina being with rosendo, but cecilio sez
she’s old enough, which is weird considering how he acts later in the episode.
cecilio is on the patio of gonzalo’s house
and he overhears him telling daniel about how olga poisoned hanna’s mind and
then she saw him with the gun in his hand...i think. cecilio seems awfully
interested, like he doesn’t know the history, but maybe he just wonders who
gonzalo is talking to. gonzalo thinks back to when olga finds him and elena
making out in the mine. in the flashback, he tries to explain (as if there’s
anything to explain, he’s busted making out with his wife’s sister. doh!), but
olga runs out. the flashback ends as cecilio walks in and gonzalo accuses him
of eavesdropping. cecilio is introduced to daniel and they make small talk.
cecilio implies gonzalo is not telling daniel the whole truth of what happened.
sabina is watching a movie and boy, is she
into it. manuel comes back and asks for andrea again, then sez he’s going to
mexico on business for cecilio. as he goes down the street andrea comes from
behind him, but they don't notice one another. she goes in the lodge and sabina
tells her manuel just left. andrea doesn’t care and sabina bugs her about
wanting to marry daniel. she sez she’s not marrying anyone just yet and goes to
her room.
coronela has the new old whore, ludivina,
in her room. she’s all dolled up. daysi comes in and coronela kicks the other
two whores out. daysi sez don natividad rincon is at the bar. ok, this is the
guy who was talking to santiago about bringing money.
hanna sez all the years of therapy have
done no good and all she wants is to forget everything. patricio sez she’s not
better ‘cuz she doesn’t want to be and tries to convince her to forgive
gonzalo.
cecilio finds out daniel is interested in
andrea from gonzalo. cecilio thinks andrea will be waiting for manuel when he
gets back from mexico. ha. then something about the tragedy of gonzalo
repeating itsleg with daniel(?)
andrea is in the church and in comes
manuel. he does the whining and crying again and tries to kiss her and then
gets aggressive once more. in the church! shameless. she gives him back the
wedding gown, which she had in a paper bag. LOL! manuel slaps her. yeah, that’s
the way to make her like ya, ya jerk. he sez, “i love you more than life and
this is how you repay me?” then he rips the gown and storms out. andrea asks
for forgiveness.
rosendo comes to gonzalo’s for ernestina
and cecilio sees him. rosendo is awful polite to cecilio. ernestina comes up as
cecilio is telling rosendo how decent she is. rosendo starts to smart mouth,
but she interrupts and surprises him. cecilio tells rosendo to take a hike.
then he tells ernestina that the town sez she’s with rosendo for his money and
that she should have more respect for the padre and her brother.
andrea is burning the wedding gown in the
garbage bin. sabina brings water and puts out the fire against andrea’s wishes.
manuel drives and thinks back and cries. i
hope he’s thinking about what a complete ass he’s been, but probly not. is the
box in his hand the ring andrea gave back to him?
daniel is in an office where a guy is
typing and he wants to know who’s suspected in the death of margarita. the guy
sez everyone is.
ok, i think santiago and cecilio are
talking about andrea not being his kid. dd! help again!!! something about the
lodge, too. it’s not in his name or he doesn’t own it or something?
manuel is in mexico and the two guys from
the bar are watching him. his whore friend shows up. he’s crying to her about
love hurting, so they decide to make the hurt go away by fucking, or so manuel
thinks. really, she’s leading him into a trap. while the whore pretends to
“freshen up”, manuel calls andrea!!! completely disgusting. “hi honey! i’m in a
hotel room with a whore! i love you!” anyway, the two guys follow them to the
room. they knock and the whore opens it. they rush in, push her out, she yells
for help and when manuel goes to the door, they beat him up and take his
suitcase of papers. luckily...or not...andrea hears it over the phone, which
the two bad guys and the whore don’t know he’s talking to andrea.
andrea tells her parents she heard someone
beating up manuel. she wants to go to cecilio to tell him what she heard. the
little man at cecilio’s doesn’t want to let them in, but rita comes down to ask
what’s going on.
you see the two guys dropping the whore off
at her car in a parking garage and one of the guys gets out with a gun with a
silencer and walks up behind her and the episode ends.

even an old grinch like me is busy this
time of year, so i only caught a few things today.
andrea goes to mexico to see manuel. while
there, the tv is playing and he hears about his whore being killed. cecilio
comes in, andrea leaves and cecilio asks manuel who the womin was that was in
his room. manuel tries to act innocent, but cecilio tells manuel he’s not
stupid.
daniel finds out manuel was with a womin at
the hotel.
rosendo gave ernestina what i assume was an
expensive necklace. later on, after they have sex, he promises to marry her.
pfffffft.
i think
the police came and talked to manuel and cecilio told him to lie about the
whore being there.
oh boy...liliana and hanna show up at the
hotel and see rita, andrea and daniel. very uncomfortable moment. then rita
tells cecilio, who’s in manuel’s room, that hanna is waiting to see him; he
seems surprised by that.
everyone seems to think andrea is confused
‘cuz she wants daniel. what’s to be confused? he’s always kind to her. i doubt
seriously he’d EVER slap her. and all manuel does is get mad and act as if
there’s some law that he and andrea should be together. what a poor loser.
liliana is berating daniel about andrea,
but when hanna shows up, he tells them both how marvelous his love is for
andrea, kinda catty-ish.
manuel and andrea are yelling at one another and the doctor tells her to leave, which she gladly does, with a frown on her face. she meets daniel in the lobby and her face lights up to see him.

daniel talks to his editor about his
suspicions that someone’s trafficking drugs in real del monte.
the doctor asks andrea not to argue with
manuel.
rita finds out daniel invited andrea to
dinnor.
epitacia calls ernestina rosendo’s whore
for accepting that necklace. ernestina again sez they’ll be married soon, but
epitacia knows better and laughs. ernestina accuses epitacia of being in love
with gonzalo. that makes epitacia mad.
rosendo is at the whore house and that
ludivina sees him and acts like she doesn’t want HIM to see HER. gonzalo goes
to see the whore who looks a bit like elena and whom he calls elena. he gives
her a ring, seeing himself at first as his young self. coronela seems quite
interested that these two are together. i assume she hopes gonzalo will tell
the whore something while he’s thinking it’s elena.
cecilio is worried that someone might’ve
seen manuel with the whore who got killed.
liliana is at hanna’s house for dinnor.
cecilio and family arrive.
sabina shows up at gonzalo’s house and
rosendo comes up, too. sabina wants to talk to gonzalo, who’s at the whore
house, so sabina goes to talk with epitacia. this seems to worry rosendo.
epitacia tells sabina rosendo isn’t welcome in this house, but ernestina has
foolishly invited rosendo into her bedroom and epitacia overhears them talking.
epitacia is on the phone with someone named señor cura, about the two of them
being together. sabina seems quite satisfied that they’re gonna be busted.
santiago comes home from work and wants to
know where sabina is. ludivina shows up and wants to talk to him and he looks
around guiltily. he tells ludivina she shouldn’t’ve come around again. maybe
this is andrea’s real mother?????? but santiago wants to know who’s behind some
plan and ludivina tells him it’s coronela. or maybe this is andrea’s real
mother???
daniel and andrea have a romantic dinner.
she admits to daniel that sabina isn’t her mom and that her mom was killed. he
wants to know how she died, but andrea sez she doesn’t know. she doesn’t say
whether santiago is her father or not.
gonzalo comes home and sees sabina and
first tells her to get out, then he tells the chauffeur and epitacia to leave
them and sabina starts telling him off about not talking to hanna. he sez it’s
sabina’s fault hanna hates him and it’s olga’s fault elena is dead(?) anyway,
sabina doesn’t want daniel loving andrea since it’ll be like the history of
young gonzalo, only instead of one man and two wimmin, it’ll be andrea and
manuel and daniel.
cecilio tells rita she’s stuck up for
thinking real del monte is so backward. they start talking about elena’s ghost
and hanna starts getting nervous. patricio doesn’t seem to know much about it.
daniel and andrea come in and there is total silence. when daniel sez he’s
going back to real del monte, liliana sez it’s a shame since vicente, the
editor, wants to give daniel a new job, which she eventually gets. everyone
tries to tell daniel not to leave, but it’s no good.
the padre catches rosendo leaving the
hacienda and then gonzalo comes in with epitacia, who tells gonzalo that
rosendo was in ernestina’s bedroom.
sabina finds out ludivina came to see santiago,
even though lucina can’t tell her who ludivina is. they talk about how andrea
will end up badly if she goes with daniel. it’s really not the same situation
as gonzalo, olga and elena, since andrea no longer loves manuel and wants
nothing to do with him. sabina asks santiago about who came to see him. he
tries to act like nobody did, then hasta explain and sez it’s just someone he
used to know and that she wanted his help. you can tell sabina doesn’t believe
a word he’s saying.
santiago tells rosendo he better not try to
come around his daughter again, rosendo gets sassy, santiago either knees him
in the crotch or punches him in the stomach, they have a few more words, and
rosendo limps off.
ernestina gets told off by the padre and
her mother about rosendo and what a fool she’s being for believing his lies and
she sez nobody but rosendo loves her. she’s not wearing that necklace. does she
ask them if they’re her real parents? the padre looks...sad...guilty? dd...do
you know what’s going on with that?
when the dinner party is over at hanna’s,
daniel and andrea are kissing outside and liliana sees them and acts like it’s
just now dawning on her that they’re novios. she sneaks off behind them, tears
in her eyes.
santiago calls the whorehouse for ludivina
and wants to see her. sabina brings him his lunch. when he tries to kiss her
goodbye, she dodges him.
rosendo and ernestina are in bed and she's
going through his wallet. is she getting her pay for the evening? he once again
puts off marrying her.
for some reason, rita tells andrea that
cecilio is very worried about her treatment of manuel. why would rita do this?
she was sucking up to manuel earlier and now she's kinda sticking up for him so
andrea will marry him. i guess the confusion is starting.
daniel has a final dinner with his parents,
and they argue about him breaking up andrea's relationship with manuel. hanna
wants him to go back to living how he was before he went to real del monte.
manuel leaves the hospital. cecilio doesn't
want manuel telling andrea something, i can't tell what. she comes in the room
and is short with cecilio, who leaves immediately. manuel asks if she has a
problem with him and she sez he gave her crap for coming to dinnor with daniel
at his parent's. manuel again gets all huffy and rags out on her, saying how
sad it is that she doesn't love him like he does her. dude...vinegar don't
catch no flies. she tells manuel that daniel respects her. manuel sez he also
respects her, but she sez, no you don't. suddenly he starts acting really
pathetic and tries to cry and make andrea feel sorry for him. ick. he's such a

joel’s wife is putting flowers on his grave and she overhears them talking.
santiago wants to talk to coronela and sez he doesn’t have much time(?)
ludivina tells santiago rosendo is her son. ew!
ernestina gets kicked out of gonzalo’s
hacienda. she’s begging him and saying she wants to change. what crap. he sez
the only way she can live in his house is if she never goes back with rosendo.
she promises she won’t, but that’s probly crap, too.
rosendo is talking to some guy about
explosives and miners having a hard time breathing. not sure about all they
talked about. the guy maybe is setting up a trap, or has set one up in the
past, for the miners to die in(?) rosendo gives him the ever-present envelope
of money.
gonzalo goes to the whore house. ludivina
whispers something to la coronela. gonzalo thinks about his conversation with
sabina about his history repeating itsleg with daniel. he throws his glass and
coronela clams him down. he’s crying about elena and coronela comforts him.
they talk about the love triangle and coronela urges gonzalo to break up daniel
and andrea.
manuel comes home to his mom. he and andrea
say they’re not getting married, but are just good friends now. his mom doesn’t
like it, but the padre sez there’s good reason for them not to be married.
daniel is in a police station(?) or maybe
it was the electric company, since he mentions that later to don cecilio. he
wants to take some documents, but the man he’s talking to won’t let him. this
must be the guy who’s in rosendo’s pay that is mentioned later in the episode.
lucina’s mom tells sabina about santiago
and ludivina meeting in the cemetery.
daniel meets with cecilio. something about
opening up el paraiso mine again. cecilio laughs at him. daniel thinks it would
make work for the townsfolk.
sabina is mad about santiago seeing the
other womin who she doesn’t know. andrea walks up and sabina tells her santiago
has a girlfriend.
hanna is with her psychiatrist talking
about cecilio being dangerous for daniel(?) then she talks about gonzalo making
her feel creepy for many years. she thinks she’s no good and it’s all gonzalo’s
fault. she thinks back to a night when she saw a man she din’t know(?)
andrea tells lucina she met daniel’s
parents and the two of them giggle. they seem to think this means that
everybody thinks it’s cool for daniel and andrea to be together.
daniel is with his dad, who seems to be
unhappy at first about andrea, then when daniel explains, his father accepts
their love.
cecilio
tells rosendo the documents manuel had were stolen. rosendo sez his people in
mexico will control daniel’s nosiness at the energy company; relating back to
the guy who won’t let daniel take the papers.
andrea asks santiago about the womin and he
sez he knew her when she was pregnant and that the father abandoned the baby.
then she wants to know why she doesn’t have any relatives. santiago manages to
dance around that issue, though. santiago leaves and asks god to help him to
stop having to tell lies to everyone, which i assume means about his past.
ernestina finds gonzalo asleep and can’t
seem to wake him. she calls the doctor, but after she does, she looks kinda
smirky at gonzalo. the doc comes and makes gonzalo get in bed. daniel comes in,
too. gonzalo sez he’s afraid daniel’s romance with andrea will cause sadness,
and begs daniel not to make the same mistakes he made. daniel proposes that
gonzalo open up el paraiso mine again, which he doesn’t want to do. they argue
about it some more. ernestina overhears daniel telling gonzalo he’s gonna
revise the papers for the mine and that two guys stole the papers from manuel.
then a guy is talking to cecilio. it now seems to me that cecilo’s the one who
sent the two guys to beat up manuel. now ernestina knows about manuel having a
whore in his room that got killed. she sez rosendo might be able to help manuel
(get andrea back?) and he reluctantly agrees to talk to rosendo. ernestina
breaks her word to gonzalo and goes to rosendo to ask that he help her brother.
rosendo sez he hates daniel, too, and agrees to help.
i get the impression santiago thinks
something is going to happen to him. he keeps making reference to him being old
and he tells andrea he wants her to be left in the hands of a good man, like
he’s gonna die or something. he rags out on her to marry manuel again and seems
to be forcing her to do it.
daniel tells andrea how gonzalo thinks
their relationship will end in tragedy. andrea doesn’t seem to know much about
gonzalo. daniel kisses andrea as santiago walks in. santiago wants to talk to
daniel. he tells daniel he doesn’t want his family hurt. he wants daniel to
leave so andrea can marry manuel and make the town happy. pffft.

and...you know how it is. anyway, this is wednesday's summary. i think i...i
dunno what happened, i lost a day somewhere.
rosendo is with a doctor who’s saying they
must hurry and do something, i don’t know what.
when gonzalo hears of the mine explosion,
he claims history is repeating itsleg. then he finds out daniel got hurt and
worries.
daniel and santiago are taken to the
hospital. at first, daniel is awake, then sees elena’s spirit and asks if it’s
his time. gonzalo shows up and tells andrea to shove off again. daniel tells
gonzalo he’s been with elena again, then he lapses into a coma. the doctors say
daniel has had a bad hit on the head.
ernestina is talking to the padre, who blames
rosendo for the explosion, but ernestina sez he wasn’t even in town when it
happened. the padre doesn’t like ernestina sticking up for rosendo.
andrea tells manuel it’s her fault daniel was hurt, but
manuel sez it was just an accident and nobody’s fault. she starts with the “i’m
confused” crap again and, for once, manuel is understanding and comforts her.
andrea calls daniel’s parents to tell them
the news and they rush to the hospital. hanna blames gonzalo for daniel being
in a coma due to his past sins coming back on him. gonzalo tells her she can
talk to him whenever she wants, but she sez she never will.
rosendo sees the official from the energy
company and shows him pics of his family that i assume were taken clandestinely
by a henchman of rosendo’s, and asks if he wants something bad to happen to
them. he tells the guy to meet him in a bar and tells him if he doesn’t play
along with rosendo’s plan, his family will be hurt.
gonzalo
wants to move daniel to another hospital. the doctor asks daniel’s parents to
wait before deciding to move him.
santiago has an operation and is ok. he
finds out daniel is in a coma.
gonzalo tells his doctor he wants to die
and will he help him.
cecilio blames manuel for the accident. he
leaves to see gonzalo, swearing. he gets to gonzalo’s and tells him not to
worry ‘cuz daniel is strong. gonzalo sez he was a crappy parent to hanna ‘cuz
she wasn’t elena’s daughter. cecilio tells gonzalo rita needs a husband(?) the
padre is there thinking back to talking to ludivina about her having sex with
these two old farts, i don’t know if she means when they were young or just
recently. the padre tells gonzalo he’ll only be free of his pain if he talks to
hanna and gets her forgiveness.
elena’s spirit tells daniel she’ll explain
everything if he waits to return from his coma.
hanna goes to sabina and asks her to
perform magic to help daniel. sabina doesn’t want to, then agrees. she sez the
doctors can do nothing for daniel. the signal is lost for a few seconds here.
hanna tells sabina to use her powers and to use andrea as the “virgin”, but
that one scene of her and manuel making love seems to negate that power, if it
really happened, which it seemed like it did from the look of disgust on
andrea’s face. sabina sez she can’t do anything and it’s in god’s hands.
manuel and ernestina’s madrina shows
ernestina a pic of her parents and manuel when her mom was pregnant with her.
ernestina thinks the padre is their father, but her madrina sez no. she sez
ernestina’s father left them right before ernestina was born. then she sez
something about him going to find work and never returning, yet she knows he’s
not dead. what happened to the mother is not clear to me.
sabina seems to change her mind. she prays
as hanna leaves the lodge, then andrea comes in and begs her to help daniel.
she sez she’ll go back with manuel so history won’t repeat itsleg, but sabina
tells her history has already repeated itsleg.
ernestina and manuel argue about their
parents. he blames rosendo for the mine explosion again. he sez he almost
killed daniel and ernestina sez he’s a hypocrite ‘cuz in reality he wants
daniel dead.
andrea goes to the hospital to say goodbye
to the comatose daniel. the doctor tells his parents he is brain dead.
sabina and andrea go to elena’s shrine to
perform the magic. as they do, daniel recovers his senses, but not before
elena’s spirit tells him that he’ll get another chance and that andrea will
save him. he hears her calling to him to wake up and the monitors beep.
hanna comes to the lodge and then andrea
and sabina come in. hanna sez daniel wants to see her. andrea sez she will
never see him again.
cecilio tells manuel rosendo is returning
to his job, which i assume was given to manuel, although i don’t remember or
did not catch that part. manuel seems very disappointed. but this means cecilio
sent rosendo away so that he wouldn’t be blamed for the explosion, which i
thought yesterday.
hanna tells patricio andrea will go back
with manuel and he wonders what kinda womin she is. hanna tells him it’s better
this way. they go to see daniel, who’s awake now. they say it’s a miracle that
he now shows no signs of injury. they tell him andrea will go back with manuel.
daniel doesn’t believe them. he keeps insisting she’s won’t do it.
lucina wants to know why andrea’s hands are
bandaged. frankly, i don’t know why they are, but i assume something to do with
the magic.
manuel is with andrea. he’s being really nice and not a’tall macho, but andrea still looks really grossed out by the prospect of being with him. he tells her he’s having problems with cecilio. he asks her if it’s really true that she’s broken it off with daniel.

but dismisses rita. she sez she will wait for manuel’s dinnor invitation.
cecilio wants to know how things are going between them. cecilio sez he’s
talked to rosendo, who denied having anything to do with the mine explosion.
liliana and hanna talk about how they think
daniel will come around if given enough time. as if. i think one of them
actually said something about how daniel needs their help. (ha! that’s a laugh!
he’s the only one, along with andrea and lucina, who doesn’t need help and
knows exactly what’s right and what’s wrong.) daniel and patricio show up.
daniel seems quite pissy to everyone and snottily sez the hotel is quite
beautiful, but he knows why hanna has invited everyone there...to get him back
together with liliana. liliana gets all upset, the stupid womin, and walks off.
hanna berates daniel for being rude. the pot calling the kettle black, imho.
daniel calls liliana a victim of hanna’s games.
ernestina wakes gonzalo. he asks if she
went with daniel, but she sez his parents have just left the town. i find it
weird that she doesn’t know he’s left, too, or i’m mistranslating again what
she said. gonzalo seems happy at the news, however, and thanks...elena! does
that mean he’s happy hanna’s wigginess about elena has driven her away?
rosendo returns to see coronela. she asks
if he has doubts about what ludivina and she told him about who his father
might be. he doesn't seem to.
hanna tells daniel he has a bright future,
just not with andrea, and he tells her she’s crazy to think that. he actually
sez to hell with liliana.
andrea tells lucina that sabina has done
magic and returned to her old way of life due to hanna’s request to save
daniel.(?)
liliana cries to vincencio about not being
able to reconcile with daniel.
ludivina sez something about blood tests to
rosendo. she sez she’s sure cecilio is the father. rosendo doesn’t care...both
the candidates have money that he can get.
manuel is with the padre, who thinks just
‘cuz daniel has left town, manuel will find it easier to get andrea back.
now, i don’t remember seeing this part,
maybe they’re harking back to a few episodes ago...but andrea is mad about
something ernestina said about daniel. did andrea find out gonzalo is trying to
get ernestina to suck up to daniel? lucina sez andrea might as well reconcile
hersleg with not being with daniel. andrea is saying something about why did
ernestina go see daniel in the hospital(?)
suddenly, daniel is telling liliana how he
hasta go back to how his life was before. he sez she’s a good friend and he
loves her, but you can tell he means just as a friend.
manuel walks in on rosendo and cecilio.
cecilio closes a folder he was looking in. he and rosendo try to look innocent,
but fail miserably; it is, however, completely lost on manuel. rosendo
apologises that the mine explosion happened on manuel’s watch, and that he told
the miners it wasn’t manuel’s fault. ha. no sh*t, sherlock. manuel gives
cecilio two books, the project he promised cecilio. something about better
methods for exploiting the mines.
hanna can’t wait for the day that daniel
forgets real del monte and all that happened there. she thinks daniel will
never go back there. patricio sez something about daniel trying to convince
gonzalo to open el paraiso again.
cecilio goes down in the mine with manuel.
a couple miners look very suspicious while hanging around. what was cecilio
saying about rosendo and protection? manuel starts talking about modernising
the workings of the mine. it seems cecilio thinks if they leave it, nobody will
lose their job.(?) i'm assuming he doesn't wish to modernise due to the mine
being a cover-up for drug trafficking and how that might be discovered if
things were different.
santiago gets ready to come home from the
hospital. he tells sabina that he feels as if he might die soon. then he tells
her that andrea isn’t his daughter. sabina is floored. i’m getting lost now. i
guess if she din’t know that, she isn’t andrea’s mother, eh? and i guess andrea
knows this. ???
lucina and el gato have a tender moment. i
get the feeling something bad is gonna happen to el gato.
santiago tells andrea no matter what, he
loves her. he asks if it’s true that she’s over daniel. but she sez even though
daniel is gone, she’ll never go back with manuel. he tries to convince her to
do it anyway.
daniel tells patricio he wants to be back
in real del monte with gonzalo. daniel’s family and liliana leave the hotel.
daniel is riding with liliana in a separate car, but they follow daniel’s
parents. liliana talks about working with daniel again. he wants to know why she’s
being so “understanding”.
ernestina tells gonzalo nobody knows where
daniel and his parents have gone. he’s mad nobody told him daniel was leaving.
cecilio is hitting on ernestina...could he
not be her father?
rosendo and his two henchmen are talking.
the henchmen say they think that manuel is being put into rosendo’s position by
cecilio. rosendo seems to have a plan to rectify that.
cecilio tells gonzalo they’re expected at
the whore house later on. you next see ludivina getting all gussied up by the
elena-lookin’ and the tiny tim-lookin’ whores. i guess the two silly old farts
are in for a big surprise.
gonzalo tells cecilio that daniel wants to
open el paraiso again. cecilio starts trying to talk gonzalo out of it, seeming
very nervous. finally i realise el paraiso is hiding more than gonzalo’s
memories, as cecilio sez.
el gato and manuel walk in on rosendo and
his henchmen in the cantina. manuel accuses rosendo of causing the mine
explosion. what an idiot. does he think he can take on all three of these
monkeys? well, he soon gets held by two and, while another takes el gato
outside, rosendo prepares to pummel manuel. rosendo sez someone’s mother is a
whore...either ernestina’s/manuel’s or andrea’s??? just as manuel is about to
get his ass kicked, the lady who took the orphans walks in and manuel gets
away, acting the whole time as if he got out of it himsleg.
daniel, et al, return to his parents’
house. daniel tells liliana he’s tired. they joke and liliana is glad he’s in a
better mood; her body language sez she thinks daniel will soon be hers. she
leaves and he goes in the house.
andrea tells her guardians she doesn’t want
the investigation into the drugs and accidents to stop. sabina wants them to so
there will be no more problems in town.
coronela welcomes the two silly old farts
who might be rosendo’s father. ludivina comes down the stairs. cecilio acts
freaked, gonzalo is looking at her like, “mmmmmmmmmmmmmsnortpant.” he doesn't
recognise her. coronela tells them her name and now gonzalo is mad that cecilio
din’t tell him she was back in town. gonzalo’s not the least bit scared of her.
she sez she’s been living with friends of cecilio’s, which upsets cecilio some
more. gonzalo gets mad again that he wasn’t told this. cecilio seems very uncomfortable.
she tells them that rosendo is her son. they act disgusted.
rita is now coming on to manuel on the
couch of her house. she gives him a drink.
ludivina tells the two silly old farts one
of them is rosendo’s father. they look at one another and are shaking their
heads in denial. they laugh at her attempt to blackmail them. seriously, how
would a whore know who the father was short of a blood test? i’m sure at the
time she had other johns besides these two silly old farts.
hanna wants daniel to work with liliana.
liliana is whining about daniel to
vincencio. she sez she knows daniel is really in love with andrea and seems to
think he has good reason to be, since it's "true love".

daniel thinks about how he’s in love with
andrea like gonzalo and elena were in love. he thinks he needs to forget
everything. or maybe he should just go back to real del monte no matter what happens.
the two silly old farts are drinking and
gonzalo sez the whores are crazy to think one of them is rosendo’s father.
gonzalo seems sure, cecilio seems scared. cecilio wonders what would happen if
ludivina were right about one of them being the father.
ickickickickickick rosendo and ernestina
first drooling on one another, then arguing about how he treats her. he slaps
her and she tells him she hates him, which he laughs at. she sez she’s leaving
for a new honey, he sez she’ll come crawling back, she sez never and leaves,
rosendo tries to look smug, but has a bit of a worried look on his face. she
has some dirt on him. she could mess him up.
gonzalo is talking to his desk chair about
how rosendo can’t be his son. epitacia and ernestina are watching. it seems
olga is sitting in the chair. he’s trying to convince her he couldn’t be the
father. he sez he never had sex with anyone but elena while they were married.
uhhh...that can’t be true. olga’s spirit just gives gonzalo a dirty look. she
doesn’t believe it either.
daniel tells his parents he wants a lawyer
to check out the workings of the mine. liliana shows up. hanna asks about some
project she and daniel will be working on.
andrea tells manuel that rosendo is the
main suspect in the accidents at the mine. she asks if manuel is after the job
of running the mine.
everyone at es mas is glad to have daniel
back.
gonzalo tells his doc about ludivina
claiming he or cecilio could be rosendo’s father.
sabina give santiago a letter she wrote to
andrea telling her she’s not santiago’s daughter. santiago tears it up.
manuel is telling cecilio how to better
work the mines. rosendo sez los jales has only quartz, of no value to anyone.
cecilio tells manuel to study los jales to make sure that’s true.
santiago and andrea go to the mine for
workers’ comp. the guy in the office is surprised they're asking for it and
tells them they gotta ask rosendo. as they leave the office, they meet cecilio,
who sez he’ll take care of the workers’ comp. they go in the office while
andrea and manuel wait outside. andrea asks if manuel wants rosendo’s job. he
sez he’s only conducting tests, but she doesn’t seem to believe him.
ernestina wants to talk to cecilio, but
evarista tries to stall her. cecilio drives up then and ernestina starts asking
him about being rosendo’s father. evarista tells ernestina to get out of her
house. cecilio sez it’s not her house, but his. he and ernestina walk off
together.
the lady who took the orphans and seems to
be some town official is seen by santiago and andrea, who hands her a notebook.
her proof about rosendo. this is the lady who also took money from rosendo, and
she shows false interest in andrea’s notes.
ernestina and cecilio show up at gonzalo’s.
the two silly old farts argue about who’s the father AGAIN. cecilio asks if
gonzalo never wanted a son, but gonzalo sez if it wasn’t elena’s son, he
wouldn’t care about it.
evarista and rita talk about rosendo maybe
being rita’s brother. she doesn’t want any siblings. i guess so she gets all the
money when cecilio dies or something.
andrea and santiago are arguing heatedly
about the notes given to the orphan keeping lady. sorry, i don’t know her name.
cecilio is acting like rosendo is gonzalo’s
son and laughing. then gonzalo asks what if he’s YOUR son? then he asks what if
neither is the father? evarista and rita show up, wanting the men to explain.
the wimmin suggest a DNA test to find out the truth. gonzalo sez he doesn’t
want any testing done and that cecilio is the father. gonzalo finally gives in
to the tests.
sabina tells andrea she must stop listening
to her heart about daniel. again with the manuel whine marry him whine crap.
andrea is about as sick as i am of hearing about that.
cecilio tells rita and evarista he doesn’t
really want rosendo as a son. evarista sez they should change the test results
if it turns out cecilio is the father.
suddenly daniel is in the hospital in an
MRI machine. the doctor there tells liliana that daniel seems ok as long as he
has no dizziness or headaches.
cecilio tells manuel if rosendo is his son,
big deal. manuel seems worried about his status if rosendo is the son of
cecilio. cecilio tells manuel to go with rita.
daniel is thinking about el paraiso. he
gets a pain in the back of his head and elena is talking to him, telling him he
must return to real del monte. of course, daniel must think that is a very good
idea.
manuel is getting lovey with rita. she
tells manuel about the father/son thing as if he doesn’t know already. in the
next minute, manuel’s in the lodge with with i assume is the painting rita did
of andrea, trying to kiss andrea, who dodges him.
daniel shows up at gonzalo’s, who is happy
to see him. then he’s not happy to find out daniel only came to see andrea.
daniel sez he’s obsessed with andrea like gonzalo was with elena.
ICKICKICKICKICK they’re doing it
again!!!!!!!!!! rosendo and ernestina. so disgusting. rosendo is only trying to
get info out of ernestina anyway.
manuel tells andrea of his plans to
modernise the mine workings. then he tells her he wants things to be like
before. daniel just happens to see all this and looks really angry. andrea’s
family stands behind her as she tells daniel to please leave. santiago gets in
daniel’s face and he leaves. andrea looks really sad.
hanna finds the note daniel wrote patricio
about going back to real del monte. she wants to know why patricio always
defends the things daniel does that she deems incorrect.
gonzalo explains the father/son thing to daniel.
daniel wants to protect the blood test results.
cecilio brings a doctor to get blood from
rosendo. as rosendo readies his arm for the needle, gonzalo and HIS doctor show
up and want some blood from rosendo, too. rosendo doesn’t mind giving everyone
in the whole friggin’ world his blood, as long as he ends up with a rich
father, although he sure doesn’t express that feeling. cecilio asks gonzalo,
“don’t you trust me?” when gonzalo asks cecilio the same question, he acts as
if maybe he doesn’t trust gonzalo.
santiago is lying down, feeling weak.
andrea sez it’s her fault. they talk about how love is precious. sabina walks
in and sees andrea sitting on the bed with santiago, who is stroking andrea’s
cheek. she seems to think it’s improper for them to be like that, since
santiago isn’t andrea’s real father.
daniel takes rosendo’s blood away and
sabina once again tells andrea to return to manuel.

andrea tells sabina she’s worried if daniel
returns to real del monte.(?) sabina asks if andrea would rather leave. she sez
NO so sabina sez, “why don’t you go back with manuel?” this disgusts andrea.
daniel is in liliana’s office with the
bucket o’ blood, so to speak. he sez it’s proof and makes it seem like it’s
proof of more than just who the father is.
manuel is telling cecilio stuff cecilio
already knows. manuel is really being set up. i bet he ends up dead either in
thursday’s episode or tomorrow. cecilio tells manuel to wait before acting on
his information. manuel doesn’t seem convinced, but agrees anyway. maybe it’s
dawning on him that he might be in trouble.
daniel tells his mom she might have a half
brother and he, an uncle. i don’t think that makes hanna very happy.
manuel tells andrea he’s going to fight for
her. andrea tells him she no longer has the heart to fight. andrea promises to
do her best anyway. not sure about that part, but he tries to kiss her again
and she again turns her cheek to him.
more of rita and cecilio arguing about her
being married as soon as possible. she sez she wants manuel to marry her ‘cuz
he loves her, not just ‘cuz cecilio wants it to be.
andrea and santiago are confronted by
natividad, that icky old man that took money from santiago several episodes
ago. he asks where his money is; andrea wants to know what he’s talking about.
when andrea calls santiago her papa, natividad tells her that santiago is not
her father and that her real father is dead. santiago tells him to shut up and
get away, and natividad sez his silence has a price. andrea gets mad and asks
santiago, “if you’re not my father, who are you?” sabina finds out andrea knows
about her true parents. she gets mad at santiago ‘cuz he promised not to tell,
but santiago sez it wasn’t his fault. something about a mistake santiago made
in the past. alta, could you help on on that, please and thank you? (:
andrea is having the situation explained by
santiago and sabina. there’s that portrait rita painted; it’s leaning against
the wall. it looks completely ridiculous. andrea is grinning like some cheesy
cartoon. they could’ve made it a bit more subtle and arty instead of so cheap
looking. anyway, andrea is mad at sabina for never telling her who her real
father is, but santiago sticks up for her and sez sabina never knew the truth.
gonzalo and cecilio are talking about
rosendo. gonzalo sez he’ll never accept rosendo as his son. cecilio sez
evarista and rita don’t want rosendo in their family, and who can blame them?
the two silly old farts argue back and forth about who is the real father.
andrea is in the church and the padre comes
up. hmmmmmm... she tells the padre she’s confused. at least now there’s a good
reason for the confusion.
andrea plans to leave the house that isn’t
hers. sabina tries to talk her out of it and then gets kinda mad and sez, “why
don’t you marry manuel?” andrea sez she never will and she still loves daniel
with all her soul.
patricio and daniel are going over the mine
papers. it seems like the government might be able to take the mine away from
gonzalo. alta, could i bother you to clear this up also? thanx!
sabina goes to la coronela and ludivina.
ludivina sez she used to know natividad and neither of the old whores seems
surprised that santiago is not andrea’s father. ludivina tells sabina that
andrea’s real parents are dead, while coronela watches with a very suspicious
and wary look on her face; she keeps shifting around nervously in her chair.
(that cleft chin of ludivina’s looks so fake and silly. does she think she’s
kirk douglas??? or powdered toast man???)
sabina goes to gonzalo, sez she’s afraid
andrea will be killed (is that what she said?) and asks if he’ll let andrea
live with him. she sez andrea helped save daniel’s life, but he still tells her
she’s "crazy as a goat" if she thinks andrea’s gonna live there. then
she tells him that hanna was the one who asked that sabina perform the magic to
help daniel. gonzalo can’t believe it. he sez andrea can stay, but only for one
night.
sabina tells andrea that natividad is mixed
up in drug trafficking. andrea wants to know how santiago can be friends or
acquaintances with someone like natividad.
manuel sees rosendo and his two henchmen in
the forest. later he tells rita he saw them receiving a shipment of drugs.
andrea comes to gonzalo’s house. she,
ernestina and epitacia are with him and he tells them to leave. as andrea goes,
she turns back and smiles at him, then walks out. he gets a very tender smile
on his face.
manuel tells cecilio of what he saw. they
talk about ruining rosendo.(¿verdad o no?)
later that night, andrea is lying on the
bed. outside, rosendo has been let in to the hacienda by ernestina. his
henchmen are unloading yellow plastic bins of drugs into gonzalo’s hacienda.
one of them drops a bin and andrea hears it. she gets up and looks, first
seeing only rosendo and ernestina kissing. then she sees one of the guys go by
with some of the bins.
daniel asks liliana if he can go back to
real del monte to investigate the drug trafficking. she doesn’t want him to.
she sez the drug trafficking there is old news. she asks if daniel is in love
with andrea. HELLO? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, SISTER? i’ve never heard daniel deny
his love for andrea. she tells him to leave and cries.
andrea and manuel find the yellow plastic
bins covered with a tarp. it’s cocaine.
sabina wants to know everything from
santiago. she sez they’re all in danger now. he sez nothing can repair the
damage and falls silent.
ernestina and rosendo slobbering some more
in rosendo’s office. manuel enters the front office and asks for his sister. manuel
tells ernestina that mama fidela isn’t feeling well, which isn’t true, just an
excuse to get her out of the office. manuel has the stupidity to tell ernestina
what he knows about rosendo. i tell ya, stupid, stupid, stupid. he tells her
she’ll end up in prison or dead if she hangs around with him.
andrea goes snooping around gonzalo’s
hacienda. she finds a room filled with cobwebs and covered in dust. she picks
up a book. there are shelves filled with bottles and jars. must be elena’s
magic herb room and her spell book. gonzalo catches her red-handed and is
yelling at her for despoiling elena’s place. you see daniel driving and his
head hurts and he sees elena. she seems happy. gonzalo is now crying to andrea
about the past.
rosendo is talking to natividad. i think
he’s trying to find stuff out from natividad (alta...another clarification
here, please?).
manuel tells cecilio about finding the
drugs at gonzalo’s. too bad cecilio already knows, eh?
andrea brings gonzalo his medicine and sits
by his bedside as he sleeps.
rosendo is laying in bed with ernestina and
wonders why andrea is living in gonzalo’s house. later he tells her he’s going
away for awhile ‘cuz things are getting hot. it really pisses her off when he
sez he’s not taking her with him. how many times does it take, sister? she sez
she’s gonna rat him out. he tells her she better not as he strangles her. she
gives him one month or she’ll see him in jail.

andrea is in elena’s garden as gonzalo
comes up and tells her how much elena loved it there. elena walks down the
stairs and takes gonzalo’s arm. he starts talking to her as andrea watches.
elena tells him to let the flowers grow again. he asks andrea if she knows how
to garden. she sez “a bit” and he sez that elena wishes andrea to care for the
garden.
daniel turns in his resignation so he can
return full-time to his abuelo…and andrea.
cecilio comes to see ernestina and manuel.
he’s acting like he wants to be her boyfriend and they falsely flatter one
another. ernestina sez she’s broken off with rosendo.
rosendo and his henchmen are in rosendo’s
office. they’re talking about manuel knowing too much and ernestina betraying
rosendo.
andrea is in elena’s herb room again.
epitacia tells her it’s not right for her to be there. andrea sez she wants to
clean the room up. gonzalo comes in, tells epitacia to go to the kitchen, and
tells andrea she can clean in elena’s room. gonzalo is being really cute and
nice to andrea.
cecilio is with doña lalis, the town
authority lady who took the orphans, talking about rosendo as if he’s afraid of
him. cecilio sez rosendo’s always armed and always with guys who’ll kill for
him. cecilio wants doña lalis to take care of rosendo, since she’s the
authority in town. bwok bwok bwok, cecilio.
daniel and patricio tell hanna that cecilio
is trying to take the mine from gonzalo. daniel asks hanna to please forgive
gonzalo. he tells her all her mental problems stem from her hatred for gonzalo
and that if she’d forgive him, she’d feel better. he tells her gonzalo needs
her love. hanna is skeptical.
cecilio is talking to manuel about
contraband...of minerals? can’t figger this part out. alta, could you please
help?
ludivina sees rosendo at the whore house.
she tells him she’s worried about him ‘cuz natividad is hanging around. good
lord, coronela is dressed like a clown. how undignified, even fo’ a ho’.
ludivina thanks rosendo for coming to visit. he gives her a kiss on the cheek
and leaves.
andrea is cleaning well into the night.
gonzalo tells her elena is really happy. the room looks beautiful. andrea tells
gonzalo how unhappy she is that she and daniel can’t be together. he sez one
never forgets their greatest love. andrea gives gonzalo elena’s cross back to
him and he really appreciates it. gosh, that gonzalo is being so cute!!!
ernestina sez to hersleg that she has a bad
feeling. then you see the mine and some workers with some dramatic music
playing. she’s then talking to manuel on the phone and sez that nobody came to
pick up the yellow plastic bins, so she hasn’t called the police yet. manuel
gets mad and thinks she’s gonna back out and yells at her. then he apologises,
saying they’re both nervous, trying to lay some of the blame on her for his
yelling. she sez she’ll call if anything happens.
rosendo is at the mine with his henchmen.
he asks if they went to gonzalo’s and were they seen? (hmmm...this part is
escaping me. alta, i need your help on this, please?) the henchmen seem like
they’re plotting against rosendo from their actions and the way they're looking
at one another behind rosendo's back.
manuel is in the...wait...whose house is
that? anyway, manuel has a gun and cecilio knocks and comes in. manuel hides
the gun in the back of his pants. something about teeth chattering and
trembling? alta!!!
doña lalis tells cliserio (i think he’s the
head cop or something, not sure) that cecilio has betrayed rosendo to her.
cliserio seems surprised that there’s drug trafficking going on in real del
monte and that rosendo is involved. she sez they must watch rosendo. she tells
him to put their men everywhere rosendo goes. he doesn’t seem too keen on that
idea, but agrees to do what she tells him.
cecilio and manuel come to gonzalo’s and
ernestina answers their knock. cecilio’s flattering her again. manuel asks
behind cecilio’s back if anything happened. epitacia tells andrea to answer
another knock, this one on the back door. it’s creepy rosendo; he was expecting
ernestina. andrea tries to shut the door on him, but he pushes in and grabs her
by the arm and walks boldly in. manuel is wandering around as cecilio and
gonzalo talk. he sees rosendo, but rosendo doesn’t see him. ernestina comes out
and things start getting crazy. cecilio takes gonzalo inside while rosendo,
andrea and the two henchmen go to the front of the house.
patricio and daniel talk about daniel
resigning. daniel sez his abuelo needs him due to his illness. gonzalo is a
pretty spry old ill guy, if you ask me. daniel sez he’s going back to real del
monte that very day.
gonzalo wants to defend his hacienda
against rosendo, but cecilio and manuel make him stay in the house and they go
outside. cecilio sees the henchmen taking two of the bins out. rosendo comes
out with a gun to andrea’s head. rosendo tells cecilio he has no choice but to
break his word to cecilio. meanwhile someone has called the police. a carful of
them show up with rifles and rush in and bust the two henchmen. they aim at
rosendo. cecilio sez if rosendo kills andrea, rosendo will then die.
daniel rushes into his room and starts
packing hurriedly. he must have a bad feeling or maybe something has been cut
out that has made him think he should hurry. maybe someone called to tell him
what was happening.
manuel is skulking around behind rosendo
and andrea. when the police do nothing, andrea stomps rosendo’s foot and he
lets her go. manuel takes the opportunity to shoot rosendo in the back, killing
him almost instantly. andrea is horrified to see him die. cecilio tells the
police they’ll do what he tells them to do. maybe this part needs better
explanation. i think cecilio sez if cliserio is snart, he’ll say they killed
rosendo to save andrea.
ernestina mourns for that dead rat. what’s
she asking him to forgive her for? she covers him with a shroud. oh honey, you
could do so much better, even though sometimes you wear the eye makeup of a
clown.
gonzalo tells andrea she isn’t there to
open doors and wouldn’t’ve been endangered if ernestina had answered the door.
she thanks him for being so worried about her.
cecilio wants manuel to go with cliserio.
cecilio tells cliserio that he should say they were waiting for rosendo to show
up and they killed him, not manuel.
ernestina cries on her bed. andrea tries to
comfort her, but ernestina doesn’t believe andrea really feels bad for her.
andrea tells ernestina that rosendo was a dirty rat. ernestina thinks it’s easy
for andrea to say that since she’s got manuel. yeah, right. some comfort THAT
is.
gonzalo and cecilio talk about rosendo
being their son. alta, could you fill this part in a bit more? i know i’m
missing something and, at this point, it’s important to get everything.
doña lalis is questioning manuel about what
happened while a clerk types it up. she seems to be telling him not to tell the
truth.(alta?) he wants to know if he’s going to be thrown in jail for shooting
rosendo. cecilio is talking to andrea; she wants to help manuel. she sez she
doesn’t love him, but still wants to help. cecilio asks if she’s sure ‘cuz rita
is promised to manuel. andrea seems upset by this news. maybe she just doesn’t
want manuel marrying anyone who would paint such a garish portrait of her. d:
doña lalis goes to tell ludivina that
rosendo has been killed. she sez the officers found out about rosendo’s drug
trafficking and that they shot him. there is much sorrow. for rosendo’s sake,
it’s good he was nice to his mom the last time they saw one another.
daniel calls to find gonzalo in a really
good mood. daniel sez he’s returning that day. gonzalo asks if daniel talked to
hanna about forgiving him. daniel sez maybe she will. gonzalo doesn’t tell
daniel that andrea is living in the house now. he gets a cute, foxy look on his
face. does this mean he now wants daniel and andrea to be together after not
wanting it almost the whole time?
more andrea and manuel arguing. she tells
manuel she doesn’t like him playing with rita. he sez he’s only doing it for
cecilio, like that makes it ok. he gets that serial killer voice and tells
andrea he loves only her. then he sez he killed rosendo for her.
cecilio tries to console ernestina. he
really wants to know how much of rosendo’s business she knows about. she sez
nothing, but he doesn’t believe her. she admits she knew rosendo was doing
something behind cecilio’s back, just not what. he asks about the drug
trafficking, but she sez she din’t know anything. he sez he wants to protect
her(?), but he’s being too nice. he asks her why doesn’t she tell doña lalis
about her suspicions.
gonzalo tells andrea if she needs anything,
to come find him. then andrea wants to confess something to gonzalo. she tells
him when rosendo had the gun to her head, she was thinking
(something...alta!!!) and then she thought how it din’t matter if she died
since she could never have her true love. i think. gonzalo asks if she wants to
go back with daniel. she sez no, that can never be. she sez something about
elena resting in peace. gonzalo smiles.
doña lalis finishes taking manuel’s
statement. apparently, it’s taken quite awhile (it looks like it’s night time
now) and he asks why she’s making such a big deal of rosendo dying, she tells
him that he might be in trouble since everyone knew he and rosendo had personal
problems. she sez many miners have told how they fought, but manuel sez the
miners are lying. something about manuel asking questions about the mine, “el
cerezo”??? manuel acts guilty and, shaking her head, doña lalis tells him to go
home.
sabina is at gonzalo’s. they talk about
andrea and what she went through and how ugly the incident was. sabina wants
andrea to return to the lodge, but gonzalo insists she doesn’t have to. sabina
is upset to learn daniel is returning that very night. gonzalo tells sabina

daniel is going up the stairs and sees
gonzalo. hanna and patricio are with daniel and he leads hanna to gonzalo. she
tells him she thought he was molesting her as a child. the chauffeur hears
father and daughter talking. he runs to epitacia, who is his mother, which i
don’t think i ever knew that before. epitacia and her son come in and the son
sorrowfully tells it was his father who was molesting hanna. gonzalo kicks
epitacia out of his house. hanna and gonzalo share cognac together. gonzalo
tells hanna how much he loves her. andrea and daniel come in and hanna greets
andrea with a smile...finally. hanna and patricio leave and this is the last we
see of hanna and patricio. (i’m at a loss as to why they changed the story
line. it would’ve been perfectly normal for them to just explain to hanna what
happened with her mother’s suicide and let her finally just accept that as
truth.)
daniel goes in a bedroom and is surprised
to find andrea laying in bed. is this his bedroom and gonzalo put andrea in
it????????? foxy old guy. (: daniel wakes andrea up and before she’s fully
awake, she sez his name. she wakes up and is also surprised to find him. they
start kissing. daniel is telling andrea that they had something so special.
she’s still trying to act like she won’t go back with him. andrea tells daniel
she’s not santiago’s daughter. he sez he’ll help her face her problems.
manuel shows up at gonzalo’s and is talking
to ernestina. he wants her to take him to andrea, but she tells him daniel and
his parents are here, telling him to leave. he won’, so she takes him to her
room. as hanna and patricio leave, manuel sees daniel and andrea together. he‘s
drunk and his words are slurred. he bursts out of the bushes he and ernestina
were hiding behind. he starts acting really freaky. andrea smirks at him. then
gonzalo tells manuel and ernestina to get out. manuel tells daniel he’s not
gonna allow him to steal his womin. too late, buster. she’s stolen.
cecilio shows up. gonzalo tells cecilio
that daniel knows how cecilio was gonna try to steal the mine from gonzalo.
gonzalo berates cecilio and tells him the mine is daniel’s.
daniel and andrea go to da shrine in da
mine. they sit in gonzalo’s comfy chair and kiss and talk. he asks her to marry
him. she tells him she wants to make love with him. i usually hate scenes like
this, but i love andrea and daniel so much, it brings tears to me eyes, matey.
ernestina and manuel continue arguing in
her room. something about the mine. ernestina tells manuel to leave. he tells
her andrea will be his. ernestina is worried.
for cryin’ out loud!!!!!! sabina is again
telling andrea what problems she’ll cause going with daniel. this seems weird
considering how she seemed to forgive gonzalo earlier.
oh dear...manuel brings that awful cheesy
portrait to...somewhere...he’s drinking straight from a bottle of whisky and
talking to the portrait, asking it why it doesn’t love him and expecting an
answer. godz, that portrait is just so bad and they show andrea looking
beautiful, posing for the portrait, as it goes to commercial. he’s hopes the
history of elena will repeat itsleg and make daniel crazy like gonzalo. he sez
andrea will be only his.
andrea is in the church and santiago comes
in. she starts talking to him like she thinks he’s mixed up in the drug
trafficking. he’s telling her to listen to what he hasta say, but she could
never think what the truth might be, and she’s asking his forgiveness for
thinking that he was mixed up in the drug thing. he tells andrea her father
came and was causing problems in the town. then, he confesses to her that he
killed her parents on his padrino’s orders. he was sposta kill the whole
family, but he couldn’t kill andrea and took her in as his daughter to keep her
safe. andrea gets really mad, quite naturally, and calls him an assassin.
sabina and lucina are outside the church and andrea sees them, but turns around
before they see her. santiago is never seen again, and later, sabina is reading
a letter from santiago saying she’ll never forget, so maybe it was a goodbye
from santiago.
gonzalo wants daniel to take over the
mines, saying he only wants to be reunited with elena. gonzalo thanks daniel
for helping with hanna. he wants daniel to open the closed mines, which i
assume means his shrine to elena will be no longer. they talk about wedding
plans. gonzalo wants them to live in real del monte ‘cuz it seems like daniel isn’t
sure where they’ll live. there’s something about does daniel want money or to
run the mine...i’m not sure, but daniel finally agrees to open the mines again.
andrea runs into manuel and ernestina. she
tries to walk away but manuel grabs her and is roughing her up. he drags her
off, ernestina following behind. he takes them to that room and is holding
andrea before the portrait. maybe they made out in this room earlier when they
were novios, it seems like he’s asking her if she remembers something. andrea
tells manuel if he doesn’t let her go, he’ll end up in jail. now manuel is
manhandling ernestina ‘cuz she’s trying to talk him out of his stupid actions.
he kicks her out. manuel tries to force andrea to drink the whisky. geez, what
a cretin. he’s really being disgusting. he even tries to hold her nose to get
that whisky down her, then he starts hugging her. ernestina goes to cecilio,
asking for help. she tells him manuel kidnapped andrea. back at the portrait,
manuel is now being really pathetic about andrea not loving him anymore and
they’re really arguing. manuel’s eyes look really freaky.
cecilio goes to tell gonzalo and daniel
about manuel. gonzalo tells him to get out until cecilio tells them manuel has
kidnapped andrea and is holding her hostage.
manuel keeps begging andrea with those
creepy eyes!!! yeeesh!!! daniel makes ernestina take him to andrea, who’s in a
little cabin about 30 minutes away. gonzalo calls cliserio. he’s still yelling
at cecilio and calling him a disgrace. manuel tells andrea this is the end as
he gets his gun out. ah yes, i love you, yet i’m ready to shoot you in the head
due to my insane jealousy. andrea sez she’ll die before she goes with manuel.
manuel shoots the portrait straight through the heart. andrea gets away and is
outside, running, and manuel shoots at her and misses. she keeps running.
ernestina, daniel, cliserio and his men
show up at the cabin. manuel catches andrea when she falls down. (why do wimmin
always fall down when being chased, be it by a man or a monster? never turn
around to see how close they are! just keep running!!!) ernestina comes up and
is begging manuel not to kill andrea. manuel puts the gun to andrea’s head as
daniel jumps out of the bushes behind him and tackles him!!!!!!!!!! the gun
goes off, daniel grabs the gun and manuel turns to see ernestina lying on the
ground, shot high in the chest. cliserio and his men take manuel into custody.
the two silly old farts come to the scene
and see cliserio’s men carrying ernestina away. cecilio is really worried about
her. and for good cause...he later asks her to marry him!!!!!!!!!!!! to his
great sadness, she turns him down. she seems to think people will say she’s
married him for his money...is that what she said, alta???
ernestina is in bed and andrea is talking
to her. ernestina must’ve only gotten a flesh wound or something. sure had a
quick recovery. ernestina is sorry andrea doesn’t love her brother anymore.
ernestina asks andrea’s forgiveness for treating her so badly, but the two
ladies soon make up and smile at one another.
now those two silly old farts are sharing
brandies and laughing. gonzalo seems at ease now about cecilio trying to take
over the mine. andrea comes in and they raise their glasses to her. they talk
about how manuel will be in jail for quite awhile. they toast to daniel’s and
andrea’s future. there is a weird moment when daniel wants andrea to take a
drink and she won’t and he laughs, which looks like it might’ve been ad lib.
andrea and daniel are leaving after their
wedding. gonzalo sez when they get back, he wants to know that he’s a
great-grandfather. sabina is now hugging daniel and has apparently forgotten
all about how bad andrea will be for not marrying manuel. she cries as they
leave and puts her head on gonzalo’s shoulder.
gonzalo raises his glass to elena’s
portrait, telling her what a good day it’s been. he asks if she remembers how
happy they were when they were married. he sez he’s ready to be reunited with
her. he’s telling her how much he loves her and she comes in, looking so
beautiful. they kiss tenderly.
as this great novela comes to a premature end, andrea and daniel talk about their future. oh...*sob* she wonders if destiny will repeat itsleg, but daniel thinks not. *bawling now*
