Azteca America: Los hermanos Arcadio y Santiago Berriozabal, luchan constantemente por el control de "La Concordia", Imperio Tequilero que su padre Don Adolfo ha prometido heredarle a su primer nieto varón. Arcadio decide casarse con Azul, sin importarle el fuerte amor que existe entre Santiago y su futura esposa.""La boda se ve interrumpida debido a que una revolución agraria invade la Villa de Tequila, Santiago es herido y desaparece, por lo que todos lo creen un cobarde. Mientras tanto Arcadio se acuartela en "La Perseverancia" donde el miedo y la cobardía le impiden evitar el rapto de Azul.""Arcadio, en una confusión, cree que Azul ha sido ultrajada, sin saber que esa suerte la corrió Lorenza en su lugar. Al terminar la batalla Azul vuelve a su casa y es rechazada por su padre quien, junto con Arcadio, prefiere darla por muerta antes que manchar su apellido con el supuesto ultraje.""Azul huye a Guadalajara con Lorenza para así poder guardar el secreto de lo sucedido. Jacinta, prima de Lorenza, y el suyo con Arcadio.""Lorenza le confiesa a Arcadio que espera un hijo, ocultando la vergonzosa procedencia del mismo. Azul, por causas del destino regresa a Tequila en donde se encuentra con Santiago. Al mismo tiempo, Arcadio se entera del engaño de Lorenza y se refugia en el alcohol para ahogar sus penas. Ma. Jacinta, al entender el gran amor que su esposo le tiene a Azul, decide anular su matrimonio. Ahora ambos deberán luchar contra todo y contra todos para defender este gran amor.
In the first episode, we meet the families. Azul's father insists that she marry Arcadio, the elder son of Adolfo, although she loves the younger son Santiago. Santiago's father hates him because he doesn't believe he is his son. (don't know if Santiago understands why his father hates him). Santiago is friends with the peons who appear about ready to revolt. The rebels kidnap Lorenza.
Rinconlatino (U.S. 4/22/99) AZUL TEQUILA - Summary episode 2, for those interested .by Ix'Chel. I'm still not too clear on all the names but here's what happened Thursday: Adolfo (papa de Arcadio & Santiago) is meeting with many of the upper class men from La Concordia and they decide they must go into the town's Plaza and defend it before the peasant rebels take it. They leave Arcadio in charge with the help of some armed men. Azul tells Maria Clara (Santiago & Arcadio's mom) she loves Santiago not Arcadio. Maria Clara tells her to go after him and tell him all this. She believes this way Santiago won't participate in any fighting and can come back home safe. The maid (sorry I didn't catch her name) is eavesdropping and overhears their conversation. Meanwhile, Fabian (Azul's brother) accompanies her to look for Santiago who has run off to find and talk to one of the leaders of the peasant movement to try to convince him that fighting will get them nowhere. Santiago runs into a friend on the road and while they are talking they notice a couple of small fires in the short distance and they decide to go put them out. The maid tells Arcadio that she overheard his mom giving Azul her blessing to go after Santiago. This makes him extremely angry and he runs to find his mom to confront her. Azul and Fabian notice the fires and they suggest that maybe Santiago could have stopped to help put them out so they head that way to see if they're correct. Right after the fires are out, Azul and Fabian arrive at the scene and she tells Santiago tha she loves HIM, not her brother and because of this she could not go through with the wedding (during all this Azul is still in her wedding dress). On their way towards town, Adolfo and the others make a rest stop and Azul's father (I didn't get his name) is regretting he came along to fight and makes an excuse to go back to La Concordia. He tells Adolfo he's worried about his family and that he didn't even get the chance to tell Azul good bye. Adolfo insists the rebels will not be heading towards any hacienda and that he shouldn't worry, but lets him go back anyway. Azul's dad tells the group he will catch up to them after he says his proper good-byes to his family. Arcadio confronts his mom; he's very angry at Santiago. Maria Clara tells him to let it go and to let Santiago and Azul be. He doesn't like this idea and tells her he will not be ridiculed in this way. Azul and Santiago talk for a while about their love and future plans to get married and start a family. Azul tells him not to go fight, but he insists he must. Azul & Fabian head back to La Concordia and leave Santiago behind. Santiago's friend wants to go along with him to help but Santiago refuses. The friend gives him his poncho (sorry, I forget what those garments are called) and dirties his face so he can "blend in" more while he's on the road in dangerous areas. Azul's father arrives at La C looking for Azul. He runs into Arcadio and he tells him about Azul's decision. The father wants Azul to marry Arcadio and tells him the wedding will go on as planned. (I believe he wants this marriage to happen because Arcadio will be the heir to the family's fortune and in turn Azul will have access to it too). Azul walks in on them and her dad scolds her. The 3 of them argue. Arcadio threatens that if Azul is not for him she will be for no one else. Azul stands her ground with both of them and declares she will not be manipulated and will do what she wants to do. Adolfo and the others arrive at the Plaza to defend it with the help of many armed men. There's a group of about 3 or 4 mean-looking men in the area that decide to head out towards La C because they realize it is barely being defended since most of the men are in town. Santiago gets stopped by some rebels who take his horse and gun away. They take him to see one of the leaders (it's not clear if he's the leader of the peasant rebels but he must have some type of leadership position.) Azul's dad goes to her room and sees she no longer is wearing the wedding dress and insists that she put it back on because there will be a wedding later today or tomorrow. He leaves to go meet up with the others in the Plaza. Fabian decides to leave La C to find Santiago and help him. Santiago meets with the rebel leader, but can't change his mind. He refuses to let Santiago tell him what to do. Azul is afraid some of the rebels will go to La C. Maria Clara tells her not to worry and they decide to go pray at the chapel because they'll be safer there. The last scenes are of Adolfo and his men guarding the Plaza while the group of 3 or 4 mean-looking men/bandits are just passing the entrance to La Concordia....
"Azul Tequila" Episode #3 Summary, 4/23/99 by Ix'Chel "Azul Tequila" Episode #3 Summary, 4/23/99 We begin with Santiago still taking to Lozadas(?), the peasant rebellion leader. Santiago insists he must not begin a war while Lozadas insists they will all fight till the death. The bandits arrive at what I believe is some sort of Tequila brewery. They notice an unattended horse they want to steal and start discussing all the things they will take from La Concordia. The owner of the horse overhears them, but doesn't go outside - he's drunk and has no way of notifying anybody. The rebels arrive at the Plaza armed with machetes and sticks ready for war and demand to enter. Adolfo and his "gentlemen" start feeling a bit overwhelmed. The bandits start shooting the armed men defending the main house. Maria Clara & Azul are still praying when they start hearing shots all over. Arcadio tries to block the main doors to the house, and sees Azul coming his way. She insists he do something. Nicanor (one of the bandits) manages to get in the house and Arcadio hides behind some furniture like a coward. Azul starts running upstairs. Maria Clara and Macrina (the maid) are upstairs trying to figure out what's going on when Maria Clara feels faint and falls to the floor. Macrina hears Azul's screams and locks the door to the room so Azul can't get in. Nicanor grabs Azul, starts hitting her, and puts her over his shoulder. They pass Arcadio on their way out, he sees Azul is in trouble but stays hidden while Azul pleads for his help. Once outside the house, Nicanor hits her some more, knocks her out, and puts her on his horse. Arcadio gets out of his hidding place and shoots from a window. He misses Nicanor, but hits Azul. (I couldn't tell if he realized he did this.) The bandits leave the place all thrashed. Arcadio goes outside and asks himself "Azul, what did I do to you?" The bandits leave La Concordia. Maria Clara wakes up in a daze still feeling faint. Meanwhile the rebels remain outside the Plaza demanding their rights to a better life. We see Fabian (Azul's brother) still looking for Santiago to help him. Adolfo and his men decide they'd have a better chance if they went up to the tower. Nicanor & the other bandits get to their house (I'm not sure who's it is) he locks the door behind him. He throws Azul on his bed and notices she's been shot. He believes she's dead. Santiago arrives at the Plaza and starts talking to the rebels.He tries to convince them that going into war is not the answer, but no one wants to listen to what he has to say especially since he is the boss's son. Another bandit arrives at Nicanor's house with the girl that was kidnapped in episode 1 and they're all thrilled they'll get to share 2 young girls. Seeing he has no success talking with the rebels, Santiago tries talking to his dad. Adolfo tells his son he's a traitor. The kidnapped girl notices Azul is not dead but that she is in severe pain, and there's blood all over her clothes. Santiago goes back to talk to the rebels and decides to stand in front of the gate. One of the men threatens to kill him if he doesn't move out of the way so that they can start their war. He shoots Santiago in the head and he falls to the ground...
Summary, episode #4, 04/26/99: -Santiago gets shot. Adolfo is notified but doesn't believe it because of all the confusion in the Plaza. He believes Santiago left the area and didn't join the rebels. We see some men drag Santiago's body away and is left for dead. -Claudio (bandit) and Nicanor (bandit) start fighting over who is more macho. Nicanor tells Claudio he'll prove his "machoness" with the girl and with the use of his gun. -The peasants start the battle by setting up barricades and shoot one of the "gentlemen." The battle at the Plaza continues. There is more chaos and more deaths. -Claudio & Nicanor fight it out outside the house while the kidnapped girl (I can't remember her name) watches on and starts caring for Azul who looks like she is bleeding to death. She takes a look at Azul's hand and steals a very expensive-looking ring she has on. -Fabian runs into Ceferino (Santigo's friend) and his wife. They are with many other peasants that are being taken somewhere (I'm not sure where.) Someone fires a gun and chaos ensues. People are fighting all over the place and run in all directions. -Arcadio, drunk, opens the main doors and starts babbling to himself that he is above all others and is not meant to die in a way the armed men did. -Some peasants see that Santiago is making some noises. -Cerafino's wife (Concha) gives birth out in the fields. -Lozadas arrives at the Plaza with more men. -Santiago tries getting up and is not as hurt as he seemed. -Macrina (the family maid/nanny) finds Arcadio crying and tells him to stop it and that she'll take care of him. She tells him to stop thinking about Azul and tells him he did the right thing in letting the bandits take her. He's surprised she knows and asks her what she's talking about. She gets frightened and tells him that she didn't see anything. -Nicanor kills off his opponent. Ther others are outside also celebrating with him. One of them goes into the house - I think he rapes the girl, but I'm not sure- we see him asleep in the bed. The girl sees that he has a gun that she might be able to take away. the bandits bury the loser. The girl reaches for the gun, Azul starts coughing and wakes him up. -Santiago gets up. -Back at the Plaza, the rebels have stopped shooting. Adolfo receives a message from Lozada that he'll blow the Plaza up if they don't meet his demands. They have 10 minutes to surrender. Some in Adolfo's group want to give up while others don't. -Cerafino's wife has a baby girl and dies. -One of Adolfo's men waves the white flag and surrenders. The peasants start celebrating, and the others surrender their weapons to Lozadas...
Capitulo 5, 4/27/99: The peasants are chanting Victory! Victory! while Cerafino is holding his daughter while he says his final goodbyes to his wife Concha. -Inside the church at the Plaza, the rebels hold a makeshift meeting. There's lots of people and we can see Adolfo and his men. -Santiago tries to help one of the wounded peasants, but there aren't any doctors or medical facilities around. He sees many dead bodies all over the place. -At the church, Lozada mets with the Chief of Police of Villa Tequila and tells him they're all at his disposal. -Cerafino names his daughter Victoria for their recent victory. -Lozada gives a speech telling Adolfo & his men that they will be shot to death when it gets light outside. Adolfo tell Lozada that he has no right and starts insulting him and calling him names. -Santiago wants to go find out what happened to his dad but 2 men try to talk him out of it and don't want to let him go. They hit Santiago & throw him in the cart with the dead bodies. -The kidnapped girl tries to help Azul but then asks herself why. Azul continues coughing but is still in a dazed state. -Morning: All are back at the Plaza gates. Lozadas greets another leader. -Maria Clara is still in a daze on her bed mumbling on and off. She awakes and asks Macrina where everybody is and if everyone's ok. Macrina doesn't answer her. -Adolfo & his men start worrying because they can hear the peasants shouting that they die. -Maria Clara wants to know what happened, but Macrina avoids answering again by leaving the room to get tea. -Justino (Azul's Dad) starts pleading with Lozada for his life. Justino tells him he's just like the townspeople because he's never had an haciendo and is not rich. He acts very cowardly. -Adolfo tells the peasants he doesn't exploit people but instead that he pays fairly and that he has worked extremely hard for what he has. The peasants insist they want justice. Adolfo calls them hypocrites because they realy want what he has, not equality for all. They take Adolfo back into the church. Lozada tells Adolfo he is fighting to get back the land from all the rich folk. Adolfo calls him a thief, and tells him that no matter how much land he gets, he'll never stop being what he is. -The bandits that took Azul talk about how much they stole from La Concordia. Lozadas orders that Adolfo & his men be put against the wall & blindfolded. -Nicanor & another bandit decide to go back to La Concordia for more goodies/riches and tells the others that stayed not to mess with "his" women. -Santiago gets out of the cart & meets a doctor and starts helping him. -Cerafin & Fabian bury Concha. -Arcadio is out in the fileds and runs into Nicanor & his friend. He asks them what they are doing there. -The peasants get ready to aim & fire at Adolfo & his men. "Ready" . . . "Aim" . ... "Lower your guns!" They don't fire and Azul's dad falls on the ground - everyone laughs. -Adolfo questions why Lozada changed his mind and Lozada just gives him a drink. -Arcadio asks the bandits (while he's trying to remember where he's seen them before) where they are headed to. They act dumb and tell him they're going to the cemetary. Arcadio lets them go, but follows close behind them. -The girl tells Azul her wounds are infected. One of the bandits comes in and asks her why she even bother with Azul. He starts kissing her, she resists & tells him his friend said not to touch her. She rethinks her situation and tells him to take her with him. -Arcadio knows it's Nicanor and that he took Azul. He decides to continue following them to try to find Azul. -One of Lozadas' men asks why he didn't give the order to kill them. -The bandit tells the girl he can't do that to his friend. She calls him a coward, but them offers him Azul's ring if he lets her go. -Santiago & the doctor talk about how difficult is is to help all the wounded. -Maria Clara leaves her room and walks outside to see the big mess the bandits left. She realizes they took Azul. -Lozadas tells Adolfo & his men he is heading towards Guadalajara. One of Adolfo's men suggest they go tell the governor, but Dolfo doesn't want to. -The bandit takes Azul's ring and tell the girl she can go. -Justino wants to go back to La Concordia. -The bandit distracts the drunken one standing guard so that the girl can escape but, as she's leaving, Nicanor and his friend come riding back...
Capitulo 6 - **** Summary # 6, April 28, 1999 **** Name: IxChel Date: 04/29/99 04:44 -Nicanor & the other bandit return while the girl is trying to escape. -Adolfo tells Justino that they need to go to Guadalajara to warn of Lozada's plans. Justino tells him he doesn't want to go. -Claudio (bandit) also sees Nicanor coming and pretends he's trying to stop the girl from escaping and takes her back into the house. He gives Nicanor Azul's ring and he asks them to leave so that he can show the girl what a real man is. 2 of the bandits leave on their horses and we see Arcadio come out from behind some bushes with his gun. Nicanor throws Azul off the bed and pushes the girl on it. He starts taking off his clothes. -Adolfo sees the men get on their horses to leave. Justino stays behind. -The girl screams and Arcadio thinks it's Azul screaming. -Justino arrives at La Concordia and sees bodies everywhere and can see the remains of the mess the bandits made. He worries & starts screaming looking for Azul. -The girl is still screaming & begging Nicanor to stop, but he continues raping her. Azul awakens from her daze and is terrified by what she is witnessing and screams too. Nicanor starts yelling for Azul to shut up - Arcadio is hearing all this and thinks Nicanor is raping Azul. He aims his gun to shoot Nicanor, but the drunk bandit outside wakes up and sees him ans shoots him. Nicanor stops & goes out to ask what's going on. The 2 girls are still crying and screaming. -Justino sees Macrina - she tell him the bandits took Azul. -Nicanor goes back in the house. The girl asks Azul "And you, why are you crying - he hasn't done anything to you?" Azul answers, "he was going to kill someone that came looking for me." He leaves to go looking for Arcadio. -Santiago is still helping the doctor with the wounded. He's trying to find out what happened to his father and the other men. After more inquiries, he finally finds out that Lozada spared their lives. -The girl looks out the window and sees that the only bandit outside is the drunk. She helps Azul get up a little so that she can help her. -Ceferino & Fabian are on their way to the hacienda. -Azul starts screaming for help to get the drunk's attention. The girl hides behind the doors and knocks him down with a stick as he comes in. She gets his gun and gives it to Azul. She can't take Azul with her becasue she still can't walk. Azul begs that she don't leave her alone, but the girls does. -Justino goes to see Maria Clara - she's drugged in bed, but he still asks her where Azul is. -The bandits are looking for Arcadio. Arcadio sees them go by and shoots Nicanor. He falls off his horse and is dragged by his horse. -Justino goes to the chapel to pray and ask for Azul's return. -Arcadio sees that Nicanor did die. He still thinks that Nicanor raped Azul, and looking up at the sky he asks for Azul's forgiveness. -Arcadio tells Justino he's sorry and that he should forget about Azul.He tells him that without Azul he is nothing - that his dreams of wealth are dead and gone. Justino tells him there is nothing he can do for her. Justino tells him he had to take care of Azul and is guilty for not having defended her. Arcadio tells him there is nothing he can do for her. Justino tells him to go get her, that there is still time to go searching for her. Arcadio asks him 'what do youthink they do to kidnapped girls? Justino responds by saying he wishes her dead because she's been dishonored. Arcadio tells him that the rumor will spread and she'll be scarred forever. Justino tells him that they can still save her by changing the truth." They both agree that they will tell all that she died while being defended and that she died an honorable death. Justino digs a grave and buries Azul's wedding dress. -Azul sits up and sees how much she's bled. She can't get up and stumble to the ground. The bandit starts moaning a bit. -Arcadio goes to visit his mom - she didn't know he was alive. He tells her he just came from burying Azul. -Justino is still at Azul's grave and tells himself that no one will dishonor her memory. -Arcadio tells Maria Clara Adolfo is alright. He tells her Santiago prefered to join the peasants. -The girl is riding the stolen horse and sees that Nicanor is dead. -Arcadio goes to Azul's tomb and tells Justino that he souldn't be making such a fuss over a buried dress. Justino responds angrily that Adolfo would never approve of how terrible Arcadio handled the safety of La Concordia, of how he could not even take care of the girl he was about to marry. Arcadio gets mad and tells him to shut up, but they realize that they both have something to lose if either of them spills the beans. -The girl gets off the horse, she's crying and starts searching Nicanor till she finds Azul's ring. -The drunk bandit finally comes out of his daze and start walking towards Azul. She threatens to kill him if he gets any closer. The camara shifts away to an outside angle and we hear a shot fired.....
Capitulos 7 & 8: Lorenza takes a doctor to Azul and they bring her to the "hospital". The doctor, Demetrio, thinks that Lorenza is Azul because she has a ring with the name Azul on it. Lorenza does not correct him. Arcadio blames Santiago for Azul's "death". Santiago's father thinks he is a coward. Lorenza introduces herself to Azul in the hospital and returns her ring. She makes Azul promise not to tell anybody what happened to her. Lorenza warns her that people will believe that Azul, too, was raped, that nobody will marry her now. Azul insists that Santiago will always love her. Then Azul overhears her doctor talking, obvious to all but Azul about another patient, saying the woman would be sterile. Azul assumes the doctor means her, so she would not be able to give Santiago children. In any case, she is determined to return to her father.

Capítulo 11 (10/19) - Nicanor atrapa a Lorenza cuando va a escapar; la mete a su jacal con violencia y la desnuda para violarla otra vez. Azul ha comenzado a despertar, aunque está muy herida se da cuenta de todo. Arcadio se asoma por una ventana, pero sólo alcanza a ver que Nicanor está abusando de una mujer, cree que es Azul, y se paraliza por la rabia. Se va decepcionado. Justino, llega a la hacienda La Concordia después de la derrota de los hacendados, donde Macrina le informa que su hija Azul, fue secuestrada por los bandidos.
Capítulo 12 - Justino llora ante la Virgen del Oro, implorando que le devuelvan a su hija. Ya no le importan los grandes destrozos que causaron los bandidos en la hacienda. En el campamento de socorros, Santiago sigue ayudando a los heridos con el doctor Demetrio. En el jacal, Nicolás se descuida tantito y Lorenza huye, pero en el camino se arrepiente de haber dejado a Azul desangrándose y tal vez a punto de morir, por lo que se dirige al campamento de socorros para que vayan a auxiliarla. Ahí sólo encuentra a Demetrio y sale con él a rescatarla. Santiago todavía no sabe lo que ha sucedido con Azul.
Capítulo 13 - Justino le reprocha a Arcadio que no haya cuidado a su hija, la que además iba a ser su esposa. Arcadio le responde: "Mejor olvídese de Azul y de la hacienda La Constancia que tanto ambiciona! Su hija fue ultrajada por el bandido Nicolás, y ya no la quiero para esposa". Justino siente morir. Se va derrotado a cavar una tumba donde pine una lápida que dice "Aquí yace Azul Vidal. Murió en defensa de su honor. Tequila, 1873". Santiago no sabe nada de lo que sucedido y busca a Azul.
Capítulo 14 - El hipócrita de Arcadio le cuenta a su madre lo que sucedió con Azul. Y se queja, pues él ya estaría casado con ella si el metiche de Santiago se hubiera quedado a cuidar a las mujeres e la hacienda y no andara de redentor, ayudando a los rebeldes. El doctor Demetrio y Lorenza recojen a Azul, que está casi en agonía. Santiago regresa a La Concordia, donde Fabián (hermano de Azul), le dice que su padre acaba de enterrarla. Santiago grita desesperado, no puede creer que haya muerto el gran amor de su vida.
Capítulo 15 - Santiago, con el corazón partido, llega a llorar a la tumba de su amada Azul. En eso aparece Arcadio, que lo mira con odio y envidia, y le dice: "¿Tú crees que Azul te era muy fiel? ¡Ja, ja! Para que lo sepas ella se entregó a Nicolás, el jefe de los bandidos". Santiago lo abofetea lleno de rabia. No lo cree. El médico se confunde y cree que Loreza es Azul, al ver el anillo que trae puesto con el nombre de "Azul" grabado. Le informa que la joven que rescataron del jacal está muy grave, ha perdido mucha sangre y puede morir en cualquier momento. Santiago regresa a su hacienda, donde su padre, Adolfo, lo recibe diciéndole que es un cobarde.
Capítulo 16: Santiago se enfrenta a su padre, quien lo califica de traidor y cobarde por haber luchado contra los hacendados. Más tarde, Santiago visita la tumba de su amada (él sí cree que Azul murió), donde tiene feroz pelea contra su hermano Arcadio, porque éste se burló de él diciéndole con cinismo y odio que Azul se entregó a él y luego fue ultrajada por un bandido llamado Nicanor. En el campamento de heridos, Lorenza jura que defenderá el honor de Azul. Además, todos vieron que la sucuestraron.
Capítulo 17: Azul confía en regresar a la hacienda limpia de toda culpa, pues Arcadio vio cómo se la robaron y ella no tuvo la culpa. Está muy herida, no puede caminar y pide que la lleven a buscar a Santiago. Pero antes de irse escucha una conversación entre Demetrio y Abundio, que están junto al camastro vecino al de ella, sólo los separa una cortinilla. Azul escucha cuando el doctor dice que la mujer que él estaba atendiendo recibió un balazo en el vientre y ha quedado esteril. (Ellos comentaban de otra mujer, pero Azul cree que se referían a ella).
USA 5/3-4/99 Capitulo 9&10: Capítulo 18: Azul ahora un grito de desesperación, cree que nunca podrá ser madre, ni dará a Santiago el hijo que le prometió. Lorenza, malvada, no dice la verdad, saque que eso no es cierto, pues ella escuchó la opinión del médico que se refería a otra mujer. Adolfo in the plaza denounces Santiago as a coward and later tells the assembly how proud he is of the way Azul died, defending her honor. Santiago grieves at her grave. Lorenza overhears a peasant asking the doctor to come and save the life of Nicanor. Las dos logran huir del campamento. Adolfo defends Lozado. Ceferino joins Santiago at Azul's grave. Demetrio saves Nicanor's life, not knowing who he is. Demetrio and ? talk about the women who left, the ring and the name Azul in front of Nicanor. Lorenza leaves Azul at her home and leaves, saying she will be going to her uncle's and then to Guadalajara. Macrina tells Azul that she died. Lorenza va a refugiarse a la hacienda "San José del Amate", que es de su tío. Cuando llega, todos le preguntan si los bandidos no le hicieron daño. Ella no se atreve a decirles que Nicanor la violó.
Capítulo 19: Azul camina fatigosamente, con gran cansancio para llegar a la hacienda La Concordia, donde todos se sorprenden al verla, pues creía que la habían asesinado los bandidos. Azul se estremece al saber que su padre la enterró simbólicamente para ocultar su deshonra. "¿Cuál deshonra?"-pregunta ella sorprendida. "Todos vieron cuando me secuestraron, he estado herida, casi muriéndome en el campamento de socorro y ninguno de ustedes fue a buscarme". En la otra hacienda, Lorenza dice a su tío que los bandido violaron a muchas mujeres, y ella vio a Azul junto a ella.
USA Episode # 10 May 4, 1999 -Azul asks Macrina who died. "Azul Vidal died; her own father buried her to cover up her dishonor," Macrina tells her. (She is SOOO mean! I hate her..) Azul is confused and anguished and collapses in front of her. Macrina tries to wake her up and worries that someone will see her and ruin everything. -The Doc asks a recovering Nicanor how he knows the ring has "Azul" written on it. Nic lies to him & tells him he doesn't know anything. The doc is called to go to another patient. -Azul wakes up & Macrina tells her she shouldn't have come back. Azul asks where everybody is & they start arguing about her being dead. -Santiago recalls the day his mom asked him not to go in search of Lozadas. He's at the cemetery talking to "Azul" when Fabian comes by with some musicians to play some of Azul's favorite tunes. -Azul & Macrina hear a horse approaching so Mac tells her to hide in case it's Adolfo. Azul doesn't hide. It's her father! She greets him - he is VERY surprised and stares in disbelief. She hugs him & he tells her she shouldn't be here because everybody believes she is dead. She is very confused and doesn't understand why they have both told her this nonsense. -Adolfo & Arcadio are still at the Plaza where the town is celebrating that Tequila is now a town. Arc tells him he's heading for the bar to get a drink. -Azuls desperately trying to understand what's going on asks her father why he said such a lie. Justino doesn't want anybody to see her and insists they go to his house for a little bit. Azul starts crying and screaming out Maria Clara's name. She yells out "Mama Clara!! Mama Clara!!" (It's so gut-wrenching to see Azul cry this way - Barbara Mori did an outstanding job!) They both tell her to shut up. Maria Clara hears Azul's screams but since she's in a drugged & hazy state, she thinks it's her imagination. Azul stops screaming, but is still crying. Justino takes her to the house. Macrina goes to check on Maria Clara. M.C tells her she heard Azul calling her, but Macrina tells her she was just dreaming. -Justino talks with Azul & asks her to tell him she came back untouched. She tells him it's true that no one touched her. -Arcadio is at the bar; a woman keeps staring at him & checking him out. -Azul shows her dad the bullet; it came from Arcadio's gun (I don't know much about guns but apparently Arcadio only used a specific type of bullet). Azul says something to the sort of: "Isn't it ironic? That bullet saved my life but he sent me to my death" (since he didn't save her from Nicanor) Justino tells her she's taken away his only dream and that he wants to forget her. She tells him again that nobody touched her because she was injured. "It doesn't matter because nobody will believe you." "I don't want to feel ashamed; I did nothing wrong." "All of Tequila knows you're dead; your memory is very strong" (Adolfo told everybody at the Plaza). Justino tells her he prefers the lie & Azul tells him she can't believe he's willing to accept. "There is no way to change what everybody now believes." -Nicanor tells Claudio (I think it's his name) that his "viejitas" were both at the infirmary & that he is wondering if the doc knows anything. -Azul asks if he also buried his love for her and tells him she is alive, not dead. Justino responds that she is buried. -Santiago & Fabian talk about Justino a bit & that he has to be strong or his father and go home. -Azul says, "I never thought my own father would do this to me." "You have an image to uphold." Azul sits down & tells herself "I am alone. I am dead." -Fabian tells Santiago to go home, but he tells him he can't go just yet and that he has to say his final good-byes. -Azul changes into clean clothes and tells him all decisions we're already made for her. All she has left is a lie. She has no choice anymore. -They hear Fabian come home so Justino demands she leave quickly. He takes her to the courtyard & brings her a shawl to put over her head. She grabs her bag & leaves. -Arcadio's still the bar & the woman starts talking to him. They drink. She holds his palm and starts reading it, but he pulls it away tellin her he doesn't believe in all that stuff. She tells him she read that there is something he is hiding & that that something will torment him the rest of his life. -Ceferino & Matias' wife (Urbenza) talk about how they both lost their spouses & were left to take care of their babies alone. -Justino goes to his room & recalls how Adolfo told all those at la Plaza that Azul died with honor. -Azul is walking alone, headed towards the cemetery & she's thinking about Santiago & reminds herself that she can never be with him. -Azul goes to her grave & reads her cardboard tombstone. We see Santiago in the distance walking back with flowers. (The scene is set up so that Azul is facing us so Santiago can only see the back of a women with her head covered in a shawl.) Azul walks over to a nearby grave so Santiago doesn't see her. Santiago gets to Azul's grave and starts talking to her again. "I can't envision you dead but I am consoled by the fact that nobody can ever harm you again. -Justino grabs the bloodied/stained dress Azul left behind and vows to burn it. -Adolfo goes to the bar to find Arcadio. Arcadio is drunk & Adolfo tells him he understands. He orders more drinks for both. -Fabian looks for his dad; Justino is still holding Azul's dirty dress. Fabian walks in so he immediately partially folds it to hide the stains & tells Fabian that he's thinking of giving Azul's clothes away. Fabian tells him he wants to keep a few. -Santiago keeps talking to Azul's grave and tells her how he has loved her for years. He asks her for forgiveness for not having been there to defend her. Azul is listening to all this at the nearby grave crying right along with him (I could feel their pain - I confess I was in tears). He recalls that day they last saw each other and all the promises & plans they made for when he'd come back. LAST SCENE: we see Santiago gets up & walks towards Azul. Drum roll please....
Capítulo 20: Justino, macho, se pone como fiera contra la pobre Azul, la insulta y jalonea diciéndole que para él ha muerto, ya no tiene hija porque ella está manchada desde que Nicanor la deshonró. Ya ni siquiera Arcadio la quiere por esposa y ha roto el compromiso de boda. Azul trata de explicarle que estaba muerta y se salvó. Justino no le cree. Azul queda deshecha, nunca pensó en esa actitud de su padre. Se va derrotada, pensando que tampoco volverá a ver a Santiago, pues le dijeron que es estéril y no podrá darle el hijo que le prometió.
Capítulo 21 - Azul se siente destrozada porque su propio padre la humilló acusándola de haberlo desonrado. Sella jura que no es cierto, Nicanor (Oscar Castañeda) la creyó muerta y pudo salvarse. Que le pregunte a Lorenza. Pues las raptaron juntas. Lorenza no dirá nada, ya que se sabría la verdad, que fue ella la violada por los bandidos. Azul llora su desgracia., y sufre más creyendo que es estéril. Llega al cementerio donde su padre la "enterró" simbólicamente. En ese momento llega Santiago.
Capítulo 22 - Azul se esconde de Santiago en el panteón, no se atreve a verlo pues tendría que confesarle que nunca podrá darle un hijo como le premitió. Lo contempla con ternura al verlo llorar ante su tumba creyéndola muerta y escucha su juramente de que jamás será de otra mujer. Trata de acercarsea Santiago, pero no se atreve. En San José del Amate, Lorenza llora a solas su deshonra. Siente deseos de venganza contra los que la violaron. Se asusta cuando su tío le pregunta "¿Estás completa Lorenza, sigues siendo toda una mujer?"
Capítulo 23 - Santiago regresa a La Concordia, no resiste el llanto al ver el crepón negro que sobre la puerta, que Justino (Arturo Beristain) puso ahí en memoria de su hija Azul, a la que considera muerta por su deshonra. Adolfo va a brindad a la cantina con Arcadio para decirle que es su hijo favorito, pues Santiago es un traidor por unirse a los campesinos para pelear contra su propia familia. Azul seeks out Lorenza for help. Lorenza suplica que nadie sepa nunca que la violaron. Azul promete guardar el secreto. Y le dice que está desesperada porque su padre la corrió de la hacienda, y nunca volverán a ver a Santiago, pues quedó estéril por los balazos que recibió.
Capítulo 24 - Lorenza le dice a Azul que mejor se vayan de ese pueblo donde hasta sus familias las desprecian. Así la alejará de Arcadio. La invita a que se vayan juntas a Guadalajara, donde las protegerá doña Matilde. En la hacienda, Santiago desahoga su pena por la muerte de Azul, trabajando duramente en los campos de agaves. No puede olvidarla. Para que perdure el recuerdo de su gran amor, decide crear el mejor tequila que jamás se haya destilado. Comienza a hacer experimentos. Cuando encuentre la fórmula única lo llamará "Azul Tequila". En Guadalajara, Azul conoce a Mariano (Leonardo Daniel) y la hija de él, llamada María Jacinta (Ximena Rubio). Azul introduces herself as Soledad and becomes friends with Matilda. Brigida promises not to tell Lorenza's uncle about her nighttime visits with her boyfriend. Is Macrina trying to poison Maria Clara?
Capítulo 25 - Mariano queda deslumbrado ante la hermosura de Azul. La llena de atenciones y se pone a sus órdenes. En cambio, María Jacinta le observa con recelo. Lorenza regresa a Tequila, con intenciones de conquistar a Arcadio, el soltero más rico de la región. Demetrio (Tomás Goros) el doctor que curó a Azul, tampoco ´puede olvidar su serena belleza. El también cree que la violaron. Se entera de que Nicanor fue el bandido que abusó de ella lo busca para hacerle pagar su canallada.

Capítulo 26- Arcadio sigue llevando una vida de mujeres, parrandas y juego. Las muchachas se entusiasman con él, porque es el partido más rico y guapo. Pero Lorenza, ya lo atrapó y se convierte en su gran aventura amorosa. Adolfo lo sigue considerando su hijo favorito, despreciando al traidor de Santiago. Pero Adolfo no sabe que su hijo Arcadio se ha hecho cómplice de Saúl, para robar en la hacienda y pagar deudas del juego. Justino (Arturo Beristaian) los sorprende.
Capítulo 27 - Justino, como administrador de la hacienda reclama a Arcadio que quiera robar en la hacienda de su propio padre. Arcadio le contesta que él no es nadie para pedirle cuentas. Los dos discuten, Arcadio termina por decirle que ya tiene otra mujer y ni se acuerda de Azul. En Guadalajara, Azul se siente muy mal porque María Jacinta la trata con desprecio y hasta trata de humillarla. Entonces, decide que lo mejor será salirse de la casa de Matilde (Claudine Sosa). En ese momento aparece Mariano (Leonardo Daniel), quien pide disculpas a nombre de su hija; y con mirada amorosa trata de desimula, le pide que no se vaya.
Capítulo 28 - Lorenza empieza a sentir los primeros síntomas del embarazo. Se alarma y llora a solas, pensando que ese hijo que va a tener es del bandido Nicanor que la violó. Si se enteran en la hacienda de San José del Amate, la correrán igual que hicieron con Azul. Decide esperar una mejor oportunidad para engañar a Arcadio. Santiago sigue obsesionado por el recuerdo de Azul. Para tratar de olvidarla, se propone a destilar el mejor tequila de la región.
Capítulo 29 - Mariano guarda un secreto terrible acerca del nacimiento de Lorenza, pues él y Matilde son sus verdaderos padres. Considera que ha llegado el momento de que su hija lo sepa. Matilde se opone (ella tiene sus razones). Adolfo observa con curiosidad el trabajo de destilación que está haciendo Santiago. Prueba la primera copa de tequila y le parece excelente. Es la mejor que ha probado en su vida.
Capítulo 30 - Arcadio está lleno de rabia al ver que su papá se siente orgulloso del nuevo tequila que destiló Santiago, con nueva fórmula que a nadie quiere decir. Lorenza calma a Arcardio al verlo enloquecido de rabia contra su hermano. Demetrio no sabe lo que sucedió en el jacal de Nicanor. El sigue creyendo que a Azul la violaron y que Lorenza es señorita. Justino le advierte que su hija Azul murió para él, no quiere oír nada de ella. Demetrio no le cree y le advierte que hay que atenderla porque puede estar embarazada.
Capítulo 31 - Santiago sigue trabajando en la destilería del tequila con especial amor, recordando el rostro y los momentos románticos con Azul. Hace la primera prueba del nuevo tequila: "Está bien, pero algo le falta". En Guadalajara, Azul descubre que Lorenza es hija de Matilde. Matilde no se atreve a revelarle un gran secreto, y le ruega que no se lo diga a Lorenza. El doctor Demetrio se presenta en la hacienda pidiendo hablar con Justino acerca de Azul.
Capítulo 32 - Azul no quiere ser una carga para Matilde y decide buscar trabajo. A los pocos días encuentra trabajo fácilmente como cocinera en un restaurante. María Jacinta sigue viendo con malos ojos a la pobre Azul, quien no se explica la razón de esa hostilidad. La niña caprichosa, dice a su papá, que se aburre mucho en Guadalajara, por lo que él decide llevarla a conocer el pueblo de Tequila. Mariano tiene gran interés por conocer el pueblo, ya que sabe que Azul es de esa región.
Capítulo 33 - Demetrio discute con Justino, diciéndole que no es cierto que Azul haya muerto, pues él la atendió e sus heridas y está seguro de que se recuperó, y hasta tuvo fuerzas para huir del campamento. (Unfortunately, his insistence that Azul was raped contradicts what she told her father and Justino believes him.) Ahora quiere saber dónde está. Justino le informa que Azul era su hija, y que murió y él mismo la enterró. Si quiere lo lleva a visitar la tumba. Azul comienza a trabajar en el restaurante pero tiene problemas con el dueño.
Capítulo 34 - El doctor Demetrio dice a Justino que aunque tenga una tumba de Azul, ella no ha muerto. Está seguro de que vive y la buscará hasta encontrarla. Además, perseguirá a Nicolás y los bandidos para hacerles pagar su canallada. Lorenza se sorprende muy molesta, al ver que Mariano y María Jacinta han llegado a Tequila, pues ella no tendrá libertad para seguir viéndose con Arcadio. El dueño del restaurante mira con codicia a Azul, la desea con pasión. Ella no se ha dado cuenta y sigue su trabajo.
Capítulo 35 - Caferino, uno de los más antiguos peones de la hacienda, acompaña a Santiago al Peñón de los Tezntles, para hacer la ceremonia a la diosa Mayaimel, que según la creencia le ofrecen tequila para que salga de buen sabor. Mientras tanto, Arcadio llega borracho a la destilería rompiendo todo lo que Santiago hizo con tanto amor y trabajo.
Capítulo 36 - Arcadio, lleno de envidia y rabia, llega enloquecido y más borracho que un perro, a quemar la cantina y destilería para destrui todo el trabajo que estaba haciendo su hermano Santiago. Los peones y sus mujeres corren con cubetas de agua tratando de apagar el fuego. De la taberna sale una gran bocanada de humo. El cobarde de Arcadio huye del lugar sin que nadie pueda culpa lo del incendio, mientras Santiago sigue en el Peñón de los Tezontles, haciendo homenaje a la diosa Mayaimel, para que el tequila que acaba de destila salga de buen sabor. Demetrio ecorre pueblos en busca de Azul. Adolfo le asegura que está muerta, si quiere abren la tumba. El está seguro que vive.
Capítulo 37 - Los trabajadores logran apagar el fuego dentro de la taberna. Todos están desilusionados pensando que ha quedado destruido el trabajo de Santiago de varios meses. Pero se admiran y algunos se persignan, cuando abren el tanque de fermentación y lo encuentra intacto. Además, ni el humo ni el fuego afecta on el riquísimo aroma del mosto que llena de aromas las cenizas de la destilería. Azul sigue trabajando en Guadalajara, está contenta porque ya no le da sus correteadas el dueño del restaurante. Pero sigue pensando en Santiago, sabe que algún día ella tendrá que regresa a Tequila. ¿Qué sucede á entonces?
Capítulo 38 - A Matilde le encantaría que Lorenza (su hija secreta) se relaciona a con Arcadio, así que busca la forma de que los dos se reunan en la hacienda "La Agaveña" (donde crecen los plantíos de agave azul más ricos y puros del mundo). Mariano promete a Matilde que en su viaje a Tequila platica á con Adolfo, acerca de las relaciones de Lorenza y Arcadio; a ver si de una vez formalizan la boda. Está a punto de nace el hijo de Lorenza. Ella no lo quiere, pues fue producto de la violación que le hizo Nicano . Tiene miedo de que su tío se entere y debe vivir prácticamente escondida, porque ya se le nota mucho el embarazo.
Capítulo 39 - Lorenza se fastidia de que siempre la estén vigilando, tanto su tío como Arcadio que es muy celoso. Se siente manchada y miserable. Ya no le queda ningún vestido y a duras penas trata de calcular cuánto falta para que nazca su hijo. Trata de rompe el embarazo (aborta ) pero no encuentra quien la ayude. En Guadalajara, Azul comenta a Matilde que tiene le presentimiento que Lorenza egresa á sola, pues desconfía de Arcadio. Santiago ve la taberna destruida y tambien se admira de que el tequila haya fermentado sin perder su mosto, a pesa de terrible incendio. Con toda segu idad la diosa Mayaimet desea que nazca un nuevo tequila en su homenaje.
Capítulo 40 - Arcadio desprecia a Lorenza. Ella regresa a Guadalajara. Lo prime o que hace es reclama le a Azul, que haya revelado su secreto: que la violaron los bandidos. Las dos habían jurado no decir nada de lo que sucedió en el jacal (en la especie de choza donde estuvie on de prisioneras de Nicano ). Azul responde que ella no dijo nada, pero lo mejor será que le confiese todo a Matilde, pues es muy comprensiva y la ayuda á. Lorenza furiosa, grita que Matilde es la que menos debe saber lo que le sucede. "¡Uy! Que se me hace que esta Lorenza está embarazada70;" Piensa Azul. Demetrio sigue buscando a Azul, jura no salir de la región hasta que la encuentre.
Capítulo 41 - Lorenza prefiere hacerse la muy enferma delante de Azul, para no tener que confesa le que está embarazada. Azul sufre al ver a su amiga tan enferma y de mal genio. Mariano es un hombre de mundo, rco y experimentado, que al probar por primera vez el tequila (el único que se produce en esa región), le parece una bebida deliciosa y original. El cínico de Arcadio le ordena a Justino que altere muy bien los número en los libros de contabilidad, para que su papá no descubra que lo está robando.
Capítulo 42 - Arcadio ha perdido toda la estimación de su padre desde que cometipo la locura de a riesga una gran fortuna en un juego de baraja. Demetrio ha seguido buscando a Azul, investiga por todos lados y una persona que revela el secreto de que Azul se fue a vivir a Guadalajara. Santiago está en la taberna acondicionando el cubo de fermentación que destruyó su propio hermano. En ese momento entra Arcadio, gritándole que el provocó el incendio en la destilería, y cuando Santiago termine de arregla su alambique lo volverá a destrui .
Capítulo 43 - Arcadio iracundo, le grita a Santiago que él destruyó el alambique para que se olvida a de Azul, la mujer que iba a ser su esposa, y que él quería quita le. Ahora murió y no sea para ninguno de los dos. Santiago reacciona furioso. Los dos hermanos pelean salvajemente, hasta que llega su padre Adolfo y los separa. Má tarde, Adolfo se queja con María Clara, diciéndole con amargura que sus dos hijos acabarán con la hacienda y todo lo que tienen.
Capítulo 44 - Santiago repasa las pruebas con cuidado por encima del mosto del nuevo tequila. Mientras lo hace, sigue pensando en su gran amor por Azul deseando tenerla cerca de él. Mientras que en Guadalajara, Matilde conversa con Azul aconsejándole no sacrifica toda su vida por aquel amor pedido de Santiago, ya que ese amor por quien tanto sufre no se lo va a agradece . Lorenza se siente atrapada: ¿Qué va a hacer estando embarazada? ¿Cómo podrá fingir ante Matilde y ocultar todo el tiempo esa barriga que cada día crece más y más?
Capítulo 45 - Santiago visita a Mariano en su hacienda, con la intención de que le preste una parte de alambique antiguo. Le explica los experimentos que está haciendo con el nuevo tequila. Mariano se muestra muy interesado y le pide que cuando tenga la primera fermentación se lo lleva para probarlo, pero no le puede prestar la pieza porque ya no la tiene. En ese momento llega María Jacinta, quien queda embelesada al ver a Capítulo 46 - Mariano saborea el tequila. Le encanta el sabor y se muestra tan interesado, que promete ayuda a Santiago. Juntos van a Guadalajara, para conseguir la pieza rota que les falta en el alambique. Claro está, Santiago no sabe que Azul está viva (ahora se hace llamar por Soledad) y radica en esa ciudad. Así que este viaje cambiará radicalmente su vida. María Joaquina está feliz por haber conocido a Santiago, y declara que es el hombre de su vida. A pocas calles de distancia de donde están Santiago y Mariano, vemos a Matilde enferma de preocupación porque es muy noche y no ha llegado Lorenza a la casa. Azul la tranquiliza, diciéndole que ella saldrá en ese momento a buscarla. Al mismo tiempo llega Demetrio a Guadalajara, para buscar a Azul. Adolfo le dijo que en esa ciudad vivía.
Capítulo 47 - Lorenza se ha refugiado en el hospital antes de permitir que Matilde descubra que va a tener un hijo. Está cansada, sudorosa y con graves dolores. En eso aparece Demetrio y la reconoce, como una de las jóvenes que fueron secuestradas por los bandidos. La saluda diciéndole "Azul". Ella aclara la confusión. Capítulo 48 - Mariano le comenta a Santiago que en la casa de Matilde conoció a la mujer más hermosa que ha visto en su vida. Se llama Soledad, y es paisana de Santiago, pues llegó del pueblo de Tequila. Santiago se muestra muy interesado en verla, piensa que no podrá ser tan bella como su inolvidable Azul. En la hacienda, Arcadio casi golpeara Justino, pues por su culpa podrá descubrir que Azul no ha muerto, ya que le confesó la verdad a Demetrio, y ésteranda investigando. Adolfo, presume que su hijo, Santiago, ha destilado el mejor tequila que jamás se haya tomado en la región.
Capítulo 49 - Santiago queda paralizado de la sorpresa al conocer a "Soledad". ¡Se parece mucho a Azul! (pero no dice nada delante de los demás). Por su lado, "Soledad" siente emoción infinita y revive con fuerza su gran amor por él. Pero tampoco confiesa conoce lo. Azul confiesa a todos que se siente enferma y se refugia en su habitación. Matilde la encuentra llorando. "¿Qué te pasa?" -"No quiero ver a Santiago. No puedo soporta esta tan cerca de él sin besar lo y decirle que lo sigo amando". Santiago no es nada tonto, sospecha que Azul y Soledad son la misma persona.
Capítulo 50 - Azul le cuenta toda su historia a Matilde, sin menciona que Lorenza fue violada, y termina diciéndole que Santiago se merece un hijo que ella ya no puede darle, pues oyó que los médicos dijeron que es estéril. Demetrio decide buscar a Azul sin descanso aunque le lleve toda la vida. Son muchas las cosas que debe aclarar con ella. Además, no ha podido olvidarla. Lorenza returns home from the hospital. Convencen a Santiago de que Soledad no es Azul, sólo se parecen mucho. El joven se siente abatido y responde a Mariano que su mayor anhelo sería que Soledad, la mujer que se fue tan triste hace un momento, fue realmente Azul.

Mariano discovers that Soledad is really Azul but lies and tells her that Santiago told him he had a new love. Lorenza warns Azul about her mujeriego uncle but Azul doesn't believe her. Matilde is a bit jealous of Azul because she knows that Mariano is after her. Azul tells Matilde she knows she is jealous but has no cause to be; Mariano overhears. Lorenza makes a point about Mariano's feelings at dinner and Azul says that she will leave.
Arcadio overhears his father praising Santiago's tequila to his mother, a kind of proof that Santiago is indeed his son. Arcadia tells Hilda he is not disposed to share his inheritance with anybody. Hilda tells Arcadio that she can prove Santiago is the son of Esteban, in exchange for a reasonable compensation. After Arcadio agrees in writing, she gives him a letter from Esteban to Maria Clara recalling a night and the son that should have his name and puts the letter where Adolfo will find it. He reads it, suffers a fit, then gives the letter to Maria Clara. She denies that Esteban was her amante but Adolfo doesn't believe her. Maria Clara accuses Hilda but Hilda denies it. Adolfo tells Santiago his tequila is as much a bastard as is he. Mariano and Lorenza go to Tequila. There he tells Maria Jacinta the truth about Soledad/Azul and Santiago, whom Maria Jacinta loves, and that maybe between them, all four can be happy. Maria Clara decides to leave Adolfo for awhile and tells Hilda not to be there when she gets back. Demetrio goes looking for Lorenza in Matilde's home but Lorenza has gone. Ramón visists Lorenza.
12/27/98 - El Universal - Mexico: María Jacinta quiere encontrar a su hijo Santiago. Lorenza se arregla y sale a buscar a Arcadio. Ahora lo tendrá para ella sola, ya que todos se irán a la Feria de San Juan de los Lagos. Matilde aún sueña con tener el amor de Mariano. Convencer a Azul de que hace mal meditando su desgracia en la soledad. Le aconseja enfrentar el problema, confesándole a Santiago que no puede tener hijos. Santiago pasea con María Jacinta en la feria. Mariano encuentra a Azul en la feria, y la acompaña a todos lados con gran entusiasmo. Los dos asisten al concurso de tequilas. **** Summary # 29 Tues., 6/01/99 **** -Azul holds the bottle of Azul Tequila in her hands while the judge tells her she looks like the woman on the label. -Santiago tells Ceferino that Adolfo was not very happy to see him show up at the fair. -The judge tells Adolfo that he just saw a woman that looked exactly like the woman on the label. -Mariano & Jacinta run into Santiago & he leaves the 2 kids alone while Azul sees them from afar. -Mariano greets Adolfo & they start talking about tequila. -Jacinta tells Santiago to help her win one of the prizes by throwing a ring around the bottle. He holds her and takes her hand to teach her how to throw. They're in a hugging position & Azul doesn't like it one bit. -Mariano tells Adolfo that the girl Santiago is with is his daughter. "Don't they look great together?" asks Mariano. He wants to introduce her to him, but Adolfo doesn't want to bother them because he is not speaking to Santiago. He convinces to go see the roosters he brought for the fights. -Jacinta & Santiago get one of the rings around a bottle & they hug each other. Azul, with her shawl over her head, walks to them. She bumps into him & spills some tequila on his jacket. (Did I mention how great Santiago is looking today in that outfit?? : - ) ) Jacinta offers her handkerchief to clean it up. -Azul runs into the guy that told the doctor where he found Nicanor. She tells him he is mistaken & runs. -Lorenza is telling Brigida to take a letter to Arcadio & to not come back without a response from him. Brigida wants to know what it says (she can't read) but Lorenza just hurries her up. -Abundio (the helper) tells a friend that he saw that pretty girl. -Jacinta sees Mariano talking to Adolfo & asks Santiago if he know who it is. Santiago says he doesn't know, but Mariano invites them over anyway. Jacinta is introduced to Adolfo & she is surprised that Santiago left & hadn't mentioned it to him. -Brigida tells Macrina she is looking for Arcadio. Macrina takes the letter away from her & reads it. -Abundio continues his story to his friend. He mentions that she had a friend named Azul & the guy asks him if she is the same Azul everybody keeps talking about that died with honor a few months back. Abundio tells him it can't be because the Azul he knows (referring to Lorenza) is alive. He tells him that Azul was kidnapped. -Macrina gives the letter to Arcadio. He gets mad at her for reading his stuff. He tells her to tell Brigidad to tell Lorenza to come here to see him herself if she wants to talk to him. -Abundio & his friend conclude that they are talking about the same Azul & that she probably made the whole story up of having died. -The judge tells Santiago that he saw a woman just like his Azul here at the fair, but he tells him it was just an hallucination. -Jacinta tells Mariano that Santiago & Adolfo aren't talking to each other. -Adolfo sees Azul walking but is not sure it is her. -Brigida tells Lorenza that she has to go see Arcdaio herself. -Macrina tells Hilda that Arcadio is mad that she is taking the carriage without asking first. -The cock fight starts & so does the betting. Santiago sits next to Jacinta & Mariano while Adolfo is talking great things about his rooster. Santiago bets 10 gold coins on the competition & everyone is in awe that he is going against his father. -Lorenza goes to La Concordia looking for Arcadio. Ubenza sees her & recognizes her. She asksa her about the child but Lorenza denies everything. Macrina shows up & tells Ubenza to go get Arcadio. She asks who is looking for him & Lorenza tells her she knows who since she had the nerve to read the letter she sent earlier. -The cock fight begins & Adolfo's wins the match. -Arcadio & Lorenza finally talk. She tells him she has a business offer. -Adolfo gives the hurt rooster to Ceferino. -Lorenza tells him about Ramon. They talk a little and then they kiss. Lorenza tells him she is not interested in his money & just wants to help ramon because she owes him a favor. -The judge tells mariano & Jacinta that she should enter the queen of the fair pagent. -Santiago drinks from his tequila & sees Azul & runs after her. He sees someone but it's not her. Abundio & his friend see her and run after her too. Santiago keeps searching. Ceferino runs into Santiago & he tells him he saw Azul. He walks & walks while Jacinta & Mariano look for Santiago. Azul runs into a section where some girls are drewwing up for the rodeo show & a man tells her to hurry up and get dressed. She changes into the costume & Santiago walks in but doesn't see her face. -Jacinta & Mariano are sitting waiting for the show. -Ceferino tells Santiago to go see the show. -Mariano sees Azul riding the horse & she rides it to the opposite side. A while later he runs into Santiago & he tells him that he thought he saw Azul but it was an hallucination. Mariano breathes easier & is happy Santiago though it was an hallucination. -Azul goes back to the changing tent & the man that told her to change thanks her for filling infor the sick girl. He lets her keep the outfit for the rest of the day. Mariano walks in. -Lorenza tells Arcadio she has to leave. They kiss again & Macrina sees them. Ubenza tells Macrina that she can't even hear what they are talking about. She is suspicious of her & asks if she know anything about Lorenza. -Mariano gets mad at Azul for having come to the fair. She gets all upset & he starts to console her. -Jacinta & Santiago finally see each other & he tells her that he was looking for Azul. -Mariano & Azul see Jacinta caressing Santiago's face. -Mariano tells her to go back to Guadalajara. -Abundio & his friend go talk to Santiago. He asks about the doctor & tells him that he has seen 2 of the girls that were at the infirmary that day of the battle. Santiago asks what he is talking about.....

-Abundio & his friend talk to Santiago & tell him that he saw 1 of the 2 girls here. Just as he is about to tell Santiago Azul's name, he is called over to the tequila booth. -Lorenza & Arcadio keep making out. -Jacinta is holding a bottle of Azul Tequila & comenting to Santiago that he drew a great picture. She slips up & says that the picture is exactly like Azul, but then clears things up. (I forgot to mention yesterday that Jacinta is wearing a very pretty dress; the color?? Blue of course!!) -Macrina is telling Ubenza that men are so weak & asks her again if she knew Lorenza from before. -Adolfo & the judge are talking about their tequilas and of winning the grand prize. -Jacinta leaves Santiago & finds her dad with Azul. She is mad that she is here and so is Azul. -The judges are drinking away testing all the entrants to the tequila competition. The gold medal goes to Santiago!! Most people are very happy for him. Adolfo doesn't congratulate him. The 2nd place goes to Adolfo. -Abundio tells his friend that he gets his tequila from Arcadio and then adds some water to make it last longer & sell more. -Jacinta takes some tequila to Azul and tells her that with it, Santiago is saying good bye to her & hopes that she says good bye to him. Santiago gives a speech honoring his tequila & honoring Azul's essence. He tells them all his tequila is a long good bye to his love. -Lorenza wants to leave, but Arcadio doesn't want to let her go. They make out again & Hilda interrups them. -Azul, crying, tells Mariano that she wants to go run to Santiago, that she belongs next to him. Mariano, of course, tells her it's not the right thing to do. They both see Santiago & Jacinta kiss! (I am glad she saw them, maybe that will knock some sense into her!) -Hilda tells them she had a wonderful day visiting her friends. Arcadio introduces them & then asks Hilda to leave. -Azul asks Mariano why he didn't tell her that Jacinta & Santiago like each other. -Lorenza tells Arcadio that she does have to keep her image in front of his family. -The celebrations at the fair are still going on. Jacinta is going to enter the contest and the winner of the best tequila gets to choose the prettiest girl. -Ceferino congratulates Adolfo for his winning rooster. Adolfo tells Cefe that he is glad that Santiago had the nerve to compete against him. -Mariano tries to convince the judge to not bother & insist that "Soledad" enter the beauty pagent. The judge, Abelino, calls Santiago & tells him that there's a girl that looks just like is Azul. -Mariano tells Azul that Santiago already heard that there is a woman that looks like his Azul that will compete. Azul can't leave because Abelino is at the entrance. -Arcadio takes Lorenza to his bedroom and starts to kiss her forcefully. -Abelino starts introducing the contestants & as he gets to Soledad, he announces that she felt ill and in her place introduces Jacinta. (they switched clothes) Azul manages to hide. After the votes are in, Jacinta is crowned queen of the fair by Santiago. They hug each other & kiss. -Arcadio & Lorenza end up in bed, she tells him she loves him, she's crying. -Adolfo tells Cefe that he wants to enter "Soberbio" into another fight. -Lorenza gets ready to leave & Arcadio mentions that they just did it in his dad's bed. "You don't even respeect your own father, do you? But you will change once you have a child." "Oh, that is still a long time from now," he responds. "You could be surprised," she teases & touches her stomach. -The doc tells his nurse that he has just accepted a job offer in Tequila. -As Lorenza is leaving, she runs into Hilda. Arcadio tells Hilda not to disrespect Lorenza, because this is his house. Hilda leaves. -Santiago asks Mariano why Soledad was at the fair. Mariano slips up and tells him that Soledad went back to Guadalajara ( he had told her before that that Soledad was from Tequila.) -Macrina finds Lorenza's hair comb in Adolfo's bed. -Lorenza gets home & Bridiga tells her she doesn't have it on. -Santiago dances with the queen while Azul looks at them full of smiles. They keep on dancing. Adolfo enters his rooster in another fight. Mariano is happy Jacinta is happy. "Soberbio" loses his match. They stop dancing. -Santiago starts walking around and sees Azul in Jacinta's clothes. They kiss & he tells her this time he can't be dreaming. Azul runs from him, Santiago runs after him, someone knocks him over & a fight ensues, Mariano sees Azul leave, Jacinta helps him get abck to his feet and asks how he is doing. "Better than ever! AZUL IS ALIVE!!" and he walks away from her. A big fight between all the drunk people starts & there are people running everywhere. -Santiago tells Ceferino he saw Azul but he doesn't believe him. -Azul (stupid stupid stupid) goes crying to Mariano & begs for his help to get her out of the feria. -Jacinta changes into her blue outfit againg & runs into Santiago. He is now confused & asks her what she is doing in Azul's dress. She tells him is very confused & it was her she kissed, not Azul. Poor Santiago is heartbroken. Mariano tells Jacinta that they must go. -Abundio sees the bottle of Azul tequila & recognizes Azul. He sees Santiago & wants to tell him that's the girl he saw, but he doesn't get the chance. -Jacinta tells Azul & Mariano that she is staying longer. -Santiago tells Ceferino that if he can't find her, he will make her come to him. -Azul doesn't want Mariano to leave Jacinta. They see Santiago walking very drunk towards them as they announce some sort of riding contest that is very dangerous. Azul gets worried....

Justino feels so proud that a Tequila bearing Azul's name took the gold medal for quality and pureness. Justino starts to lament that only if Azul would have only live to see this. Santiago with a knowing and hopefull look says "She knows". When Justino hears this his eyes almost pop-out and says "What?" Adolfo intervens and says that Santiago drank too much Azul Tequila that he started to see Azul everywhere. Justino with a shaking voice says that is impossible and Adolfo agrees with him then he asks Justino why he insistenet in denying everything because everyone knows that Azul is dead. And Santiago says "Almost everyone." In Don Mariano's Hacienda, Brigida is arguing with Lorenza. Lorenza tells Brigida to stop treating Azul like "La Patrona" because she is not. Brigida tells her that Azul will eventually be "La Patrona." Adolfo is interrogating Macrina, he wants to know how the "peineta" (a hair accesory) ended up in his bed. Macrina defens Arcadio saying that it wasn't his fault that any man with blood in their veins wouldn't turn down a slut. In la Gavena Justino enters searching for Arcadio desperatlly. When Justino found Arcadio, he tells Arcadio that Santiago saw Azul in la Feria de San Juan. The spinless coward of Arcadio tells Justino not to worry that Santiago must had imagen things. "But what if it was her?" Justino ask. "What if she comes back?" Arcadio answers "She won't dare come back because no one will accept her." Justino asks again what if Santiago does since he loves her with all his heart, after all Santiago name his tequila after her. Arcadio in a cold voice said that the only reason Santiago named his Tequila after Azul was so he could sell a drop of his Santiago's tequila. "Oh, Yeah" Justino answers. "Is that why Santiago won the gold medal in la Feria. Didn't your dad tell you." Arcadio looks enraged. Santiago and Fabian are talking about the possibility that Azul might be alive. Santiago is sure he saw her at la Feria. Fabian tells him that the only place Azul can be is at her tumb, two feets under dirt." Seferino and Dona Abensa are flirting with each other in the kitchen. Dona Abensa tells Seferino that at the only woman he should look at is ------- his daugther, Victoria. Back in Don Mariano's hacienda Azul and Lorenza go at it again. Lorenza wants Azul to leave Tequila she is afraid that Brigida will eventually find out who Azul really is. In the cementary, in front of Azul's tomb, Santiago is speaking out loud saying "Where are you Azul?, are you still alive?" As he caresses the cross made out of "Pencas". Don Teo approches Santiago and tell him that it is a miracle how the pencas didn't dry up and die (A methaphor symbolysing that Azul is still alive). Santiago takes that as a cue to start diging up Azul's grave as he says that he is two feet away from the truth. Don Teo rushes in and tries to convince Santiago to stop digging Azul's grave to leave the dead alone because it is a sin to mess with the dead. Santiago answers him that how can he be sure?, did he bury her?, did he see her dead body?. Don Teo says no and steps away from Santiago. Santiago once again started to dig saying " I have to find the truth, why were they in such a hurry to bury a lie." Azul and Lorenza are still arguing. Lorenza wants Azul to leave Tequila. Azul said no, that she wants to go back to her family even if she looses Santiago. Lorenza asks Azul that is she was ready to tell them the truth. "I'm ready to get out of my grave!" Azul answers. As the music swells up we see Santiago digging like a mad man. Finally he reaches Azul's wedding dress only the dress. He reaches in and graps the dress near his chest and yells to the sky "You are not dead, not dead, my love." In the mean time Azul tells Lorenza that she feels like a great weight has been lifted from her shoulders that by telling the truth she will safe her self. Lorenza tells Azul that she is being consitted and that the truth will hurt everybody. Azul responds that what harm will come to any one if they know she was alive. "Like your own father told you, you will bring drisgrace and shame to your family" Lorenza respondes. Azul looks angry and says "I don't understand how you that ran a worst fate than me is the first to convict me" "I'm just warning you, this damn town won't give you your live back." Lorenza says. "I don't need them to give me something that I already have." Azul answers in frustriation. "I would only have to go into la plaza to destroy the lie." "Yeah, you'll destroy the lie but you will also destroy the honor that lie gave you" Lorenza replied. With fire in her eyes Azul says "How absurb, you find dignity in hidding your self behind a lie. A coward would only hide behind a tomb and I have the courage to step up and live." In the cementary Santiago with the wedding dress in his hand starts to run off. Don Teo grabs him and asks him "Why would anybody bury a dress, Where is Azul buried." Santiago with fire in his eyes and a strong determination answers "I don't know, but I intend to find out the truth." Don Teo tells Santiago that sometimes is better not to know the truth. Santiago answers "Some one is going to pay for this." Santiago runs out of the cementary with the dress in his hand and yelling out loud "Some one will pay for this." Adolfo questions Justino. Adolfo wants to know more about what happen to Azul. With or with our Justinos help. Azul and Lorenza are still at it. Lorenza dosen't want Azul to reveal her self to anybody because it may hurt Lorenza's possibility at happiness. Azul gets even angrier hearing this and ask Lorenza if she's standing in the way of her happiness. Santiago runs desperlly with Azul's dress in hand heading towards Azul's home for answers. Justino is drinking like always, as Santiago enter demanding to know where Azul is. When Justino looks up and sees the dress he drops the glass in total shock. He tries to act all high and mighty telling Santiago what right he had to dig up his daugthers grave. Santiago responds by throwing the dress at Justino demanding to know the where abouts of Azul. Justino falls to the ground holding the dress. Like a mad man Santiago throws a chair against the walll yelling to know why he lied. Like a big cry baby Justino started to cry. Santiago dosen't care, he wants to know the truth and throws every thing off the table. Enraged Santiago graps Justino by the collar and says "Lies all lies, Azul is alive I saw her at the fair and kiss her." And throws Justino to the ground. Justino yells at Santiago and tells him to stop seeing a ghost. Santiago mad as hell grabs the dress from the ground and throws it once again at Justino, yelling "Is this a ghost, this is a prove of your deception." Fabian comes in and demands to know where his sister is at. In Don Mariano's Hacienda, Don Marino is trying to charm Azul and like always Azul turns him down. Justino is sitting in a rocking chair as Santiago smacks him and demands to know where Azul is. Like an idiot Justino shakes his head up and down and says "No, no she is not alive." Fabian falls to his knees and pleads with his dad to reveal where Azul is . Justino starts crying again saying that it is time to leave the dead alone. Santiago looses his temper and grabs Justino by the collar and yells "No, no, not until the truth is known." As Santiago shakes Justino he yells at him "Why did you lie to everybody, for what purpose." Santiago lets go of Justino at Fabian's request and Justino flls to the ground. Santiago kneels beside Justino and tries pleading with him but it dosen't work. In the next scene we see Don Teo in la cantina drunk as a skunk and tells the bartender the incident at the cementary. Justino tells Santiago that he would like to give him the hope that Azul was still alive but he him-self had given up that hope. Santiago jumps in and says "So your not sure that Azul is dead." Santiago goes on and asks Justino why he dosen't know whether Azul is alive or dead. Justino answers that he never saw Azul's body since he was with Adolfo defending la Plaza. Justino looking like a sad puppy lieing through his teeth saying that he never found the body because the bandits took it with them. Justino pleaded with Santiago to leave everything as it was that it wasn't to late to put the dress back in the tomb. He keeps on going and said that it was best to keep Azul's memory intact than finding her remains. Santiago in disbelief tells Justino that any father would hold on to the last possiblility that his daugther would still be alive. Justino responded by saying that it was use less to hold down to hope because Azul could not had survive the bandits. Santiago with tears running down his cheeck answers by saying that Azul was still alive and he was going to find her. Santiago starts to go for the door and Justino follows him telling him to leave everything in peace. Justino begs and drops to his knees asking Santiago not to throw mud at Azul's name. Santiago responded by telling Justino that he can keep Azul's good name, Santiago is going to keep her. Outside Azul's house Fabian and Santiago are discussing the posiblility of Azul being alive and being Soledad. Santiago tells Fabian that only person standing in his way is Mariano Del Casa. The next day Adolfo demands to see Arcadio and sends Macrina to find him. Santiago goes to see Don Mariano but he is not home. Lorenza and Maria Jacinta are having breakfest outside and see Santiago approaching. Santiago pumps out of them information about Soledad. Lorenza denies that Soledad is her friend that she bearly knew her. Maria Jacinta makes up and excuse and leaves the table and goes into the house to demand Azul to stay hidden. Once Maria Jacinta is back at the table Santiago tells them that he suspects that Soledad is Azul are the same person. Lorenza tries to tell Santiago that that is impossible. Santiago reminds Lorenza that since she didn't really know Soledad how could she be sure Azul and Soledad are one in the same. Finally Arcadio shows up to see Adolfo. Adolfo is very angry with Arcadia since he used Adolfo's bed when he sleeped with Lorenza. As Arcadio is leaving his dad's bedroom, Santiago comes in. They start to argue . Santago tells Arcadio that there was no body buried in Azul's grave. Arcadio looks surpriced and tries to act up, but Santiago doesn't let him. He grabs Arcadio by the shirt and demands to know what happen to Azul. With all the yelling going on Adolfo comes out and wants to know what is going. Arcadio tells him that Santiago open Azul's grave. From the shock Adolfo starts to have another heart attack. Santiago steps in and tries to help his dad and asks Arcadio to help him but Arcadio runs away. Maria Clara in the convent feels that something is wrong with Adolfo. Arcadio goes straight to Justino's office and they start to argue. Arcadio tells Justino that as Azul emerges from her tomb, Justino is going to sink into his tomb even deeper. Back in Adolfo's room, Santiago tells him not to worry that a doctor is on his way. Adolfo dosen't care all he wants is an answer. He wants to know why he opened the tomb. Adolfo wants the truth. Finally Santiago tells Adolfo that he didn't find Azul's body, that it was all a lie. Stay tune.
Lorenza learns that she is the daughter of Mariano and Matilde. She rejects Matilde. Matilde and Maria Jacinta return to Guadalajara. Arcadio confronts Azul in her bedroom. Lorenza enters when Azul draws a pistol on him. They learn that he was present when she was being raped and did nothing.
2/15/99-2/19/99 (Cap 100?); TV Azteca: Después de amenazar a Azul, Arcadio grita en medio de la Plaza del Pueblo para que todos los habitantes lo oigan que ella es una mala mujer, que fue violada y se hizo cómplice de los bandidos que asaltaron el pueblo. La gente la mira con odio y se junta llevando piedras y palos para lincharla. Arcadio se asusta al ver lo que ha provocado, entonces cobardemente se esconde en la cantina. Uno de los peones le avisa a Santiago que van a linchar a Azul en la plaza, él corre a ayudarla. Lorenza se entera y se lo dice a Mariano, quien armado sale en su caballo a todo galope. Cuando llega Mariano a la plaza, Santiago ya logró dispersar a la gente y protege a Azul con su cuerpo. Adolfo aparece y pregunta quien fue el que provocó esa situación. Ante la sorpresa de Santiago, Arcadio exige a su padre que desconozca a Azul, porque deshonró a su familia al ser la amante de Mariano. Azul no puede creerlo y acusa a Arcadio de mentiroso. Mariano desmiente que Azul sea su amante. [Mariano denies they are lovers] En la hacienda Lorenza quiere saber lo que le ha pasado a Azul y manda a su sirvienta a investigar al pueblo, ya que su mayor preocupación es que se sepa que ella fue la violada por los bandidos. Santiago no cree que Azul sea amante de Mariano y para desengañarse la lleva a la cabaña para que ella le diga la verdad y poder casarse. Por su parte Arcadio le comenta a sus padres que Azul no podrá darles el nieto que tanto anhelan, porque ella quedó estéril desde que la secuestraron los bandidos, Adolfo enojado le dice a Azul que no podrá casarse con Santiago.
2/22/99: Santiago se enfrenta a su padre, reclamándole que haya dicho a Azul que no pueden casarse. Azul llora desconsolada, todos le han hecho daño, ni su propio padre cree en ella. Por otra parte, Justino, lleno de frustración, le pide a Mariano que se lleve a su hija, pues su presencia sólo ha provocado problemas. Mariano discute con Justino, pero posteriormente se calma, y dice a Mariano que debe terminar con las habladurías en Tequila, pues todos lo acusan de ser amante de Azul. Por su parte, Lorenza exige a Arcadio que le cumpla como hombre. Azul se queda con Santiago, ella lo mira con amor, pero él está celoso y le pide que le diga la verdad. La joven se indigna, está harta de acusaciones y desprecios de todos, no los esperaba de Santiago. El se vuelve loco de inseguridad, y le grita que si no le responde es porque tiene algún pecado. Azul le grita a Santiago que ella no es propiedad de ningún hombre. Desde ese momento será dueña de su vida, no lo necesita aunque lo sigue amando. En la hacienda, Lorenza comenta que se casará con Arcadio, Mariano no la escucha, está desesperado porque ha perdido a Azul.
[El Universal. 2/21/99] Santiago se enfrenta a su padre. Justino le pide a Mariano se largue lejos del pueblo. Mariano discute con Justino. Azul se queda con Santiago. Azul le grita a Santiago que ella no es propiedad de ningún hombre. Desde ese momento será dueña de su vida. Lorenza comenta a Mariano, que está dispuesta a casarse con Arcadio. Mariano casi no la escucha, está desesperado porque ha perdido a Azul. María Jacinta vive ilusionada, le dice a Matilde que no se preocupa por el escándalo que se armó.
[El Universal. 2/28/99] Arcadio golpea a Fabián. Santiago se despide de Azul para siempre. Santiago llega a Guadalajara, y se presenta en casa de Mariano. En la hacienda, Arcadio ordena a sus peones le preparen los mejores caballos para competir en las carreras. Lorenza llega a donde se va a celebrar la carrera de caballos. Santiago está feliz porque se casará con María Jacinta está decidido a rehacer su vida. Demetrio se entera de que Lorenza está embarazada. Le hace confesar que Arcadio la hizo su amante
SEMANA DEL 1 AL 5 DE MARZO DE 1999. Fabián le cuenta a su padre que lo golpeó Arcadio, pero Justino en lugar de enojarse piensa que puede ser su socio en la adulteración del tequila. Arcadio primero se burla de él y después lo acepta. Santiago abandona a Azul por creer que en verdad es amante de Mariano y decide buscar a María Jacinta. Santiago le pide a María Jacinta que se casen. En la hacienda, Arcadio ordena le preparen los caballos para competir en las carreras. Lorenza lo busca. Por su lado Demetrio también quiere asistir a las carreras, está seguro que ahí encontrará a Azul y Lorenza. En el lugar de las carreras Lorenza se encuentra con Demetrio, quien le reitera su amor, pero ella lo rechaza enojada. Santiago está feliz porque cuando se case con María Jacinta podrá tener los hijos que siempre a anhelado y que no iba a poder tener con Azul, porque según cree es estéril. Mariano está feliz que se case su hija con Santiago, los ayudará en los preparativos, él por su parte piensa casarse con Azul. Demetrio obliga a Lorenza que le confiese que Arcadio la hizo su amante a la fuerza y que ahora está embarazada. Después le exige a Arcadio que se haga responsable del bebé, pero este le contesta que Lorenza se ha involucrado con muchos hombres y que seguramente ni ella sabe quien es el padre de la criatura. Santiago jura a María Jacinta que olvidará a todas las mujeres de su vida después de que se casen. Por su parte Mariano busca a Azul para pedirle que se casen, ya que no existe ningún obstáculo para ello. Al ser derrotado nuevamente por Santiago en una pelea, Arcadio le reporcha que se quiera casar con María Jacinta únicamente por interés de heredar lo que a él le corresponde por ser el hermano mayor. Al escucharlo María Jacinta se siente triste e indignada.
Azul and Demetrio talk. She learns that she isn't sterile. Matilde sends a telegram to Mariano telling him the truth and asking him to delay the wedding. The carriage that she and Azul travel in breaks down and they arrive after the wedding. Mariano pretends that he never received the telegram.
TVAzteca, 3/8-12/99: Santiago le exige a María Jacinta le explique porque lo rechaza, ella seguirá viviendo con su padre y le dice que en el pueblo creen que su matrimonio fue una farsa. Demetrio busca a Santiago para darle una noticia muy importante. Azul le ha perdido sentido a la vida porque Santiago ya no la ama, Mariano trata de convencerla de que hay otros hombre que darían todo por ella. Demetrio besa a Lorenza después de que la encuentra en la caballeriza. Demetrio le reprocha a Lorenza que se haya casado con Arcadio solo por interés, ella le dice que su anhelo es vivir como reina después de una niñez llena de privaciones, cree que cuando muera su suegro, Arcadio será el dueño de la hacienda más rica de la región. Azul le pide a Mariano esperar para darle una respuesta a sus pretensiones amorosas, ella está todavía dolida. Demetrio le asegura a Lorenza que siempre la amará, aunque esté casada. Santiago le exige a Matilde la verdad de porqué Azul lo despreció. Ella no puede decirle nada porque provocaría una tragedia. Arcadio amenaza a Lorenza con matarla si lo traiciona. Demetrio le explica a Santiago que Azul se confundió al creer que había quedado estéril, y que ella iba a contárselo antes de que se casara con María Jacinta, pero llegó tarde. Santiago comprende que estaba equivocado y se da cuenta del comportamiento de Azul. Ahora piensa en separarse de María Jacinta para poderle pedir perdón a Azul.
Diario de Yucatan, 3/12/99: Santiago está desesperado desde que se enteró que Azul se casará con Mariano. Se arrepiente de su boda con María Jacinta. Ahora ya sabe por qué Azul se le escondía. María Jacinta reacciona con la furia de una mujer engañada. Lorenza entra feliz a la hacienda que recibió como regalo de bodas y le pide a María Clara que la ayude a reconstruirla. Santiago busca a Azul, ella se niega a recibirlo y le manda decir que está muy ocupada preparando su boda con Mariano. Azul llora a solas, sigue amando a Santiago, pero se ha comprometido con Mariano. Se da cuenta que aceptó a éste por despecho y soledad, y será muy difícil que llegue a amarlo. Azul se sobrepone y junto con Matilde empieza los preparativos para su boda. Mariano está feliz y le dice a Santiago que lo mejor será que no vuelva por esa casa.- 8:30 de la noche, Canal 11 (33 de Cablediversión).
Diario de Yucatan 3/20/99: Arcadio llega enfurecido después de su pleito con Santiago y vuelve a maltratar a Lorenza. En eso se aparece Demetrio y le detiene la mano. Santiago habla sinceramente con María Jacinta y le dice que lo mejor para ambos será que se separen. María Jacinta le dice a Santiago que jamás aceptara romper su lazo matrimonial. El joven le confiesa que sigue amando a Azul e intentará reconquistarla. Matilde sufre en silencio y piensa que se avecina una gran tragedia. Demetrio se enfrenta a Arcadio y le exige que deje a Lorenza si no la ama, pues ella ya no soporta sus maltratos. Mariano le pide a Azul que le diga si de verdad quiere casarse con él. Santiago reta a un duelo a muerte a Mariano. Uno de los dos tendrá que morir para que Azul pueda ser feliz.- 8:30 de la noche, Canal
Demetrio kisses Lorenza. Nicanor reappears but is run off before he can hurt Lorenza again. Matilde finally learns that Lorenza was raped by him and carries his child (although it could, just possibly, be Arcadio's). Lorenza tells Demetrio that she loves him but he reminds her of her marriage and her baby. Macrina tries to tell Arcadio that Lorenza's child isn't his, but he refuses to listen and threatens to send her away if she spreads her gossip. The child, his father's grandchild, makes him his father's only heir. Arcadio knows that Santiago hasn't consumated his marriage with Maria Jacinta. Maria Jacinta learns about the inheritance rules and is angry; Santiago says his father has the right to leave the money anyway he wants. Fabian is jailed.
El Universal 3/28/99 - Mariano lleva a Azul a conocer los mejores lugares de México. Macrina, la ama de llaves, con toda maldad le dice a Arcadio que su mujer no es de fiar ya que no se ha dado cuenta con quién está casado. Lorenza cree que el bandido que la ultrajo ha muerto. Arcadio va en busca de los amores de Lázara y con rencor le comenta a ella que el día que mate a Santiago, él se hará justicia. Santiago está dispuesto a llevar la fiesta en paz con Arcadio. Azul se da cuenta que Mariano tuvo relaciones con la Condesa.
El Universal 4/4/99 - Eustaquio era cómplice de Arcadio en la venta de tequila falso, pero al ver morir a su hijo jura vengarse de Arcadio. Azul descubre el mundo maravilloso de la capital. Mariano jura que sus amoríos con la Condesa terminaron hace mucho tiempo. Matilde exige a Lorenza que se olvide de Demetrio. Eustaquio denuncia que en la hacienda se elabora tequila adulterado. Santiago le exige a Mariano que no se meta en la vida de él y de su esposa. Santiago le declara su amor a Azul.
El Diario de Yucatan, 4/3/99 - Eustaquio denuncia que en la hacienda se elabora tequila adulterado. El comisario del pueblo detiene a Adolfo, quien está enojadísimo y manda llamar a sus pistoleros para evitar que se lo lleven. En ese momento llega Arcadio, quien al darse cuenta de lo que sucede se esconde, por temor a la furia de su padre
TV Azteca, 4/5-9/99 - Eustaquio piensa en vengarse de Arcadio. Azul está feliz en el mundo de sociedad en la capital mexicana, por ello acepta reconciliarse con Mariano. Mariano jura que terminaron sus relaciones con la Condesa y ahora se consagrará a hacer feliz a Azul. Lorenza está arrepentida de haberse casado con Arcadio porque ya se dio cuenta que Demetiro realmente la ama. Arcadio se esconde cuando ve que las autoridades del pueblo detienen a su padre. Mariano está molesto porque María Jacinta está sola mientras que Santiago se pasea y divierte en la capital. Santiago le exige a Mariano que no se mete en su vida. Lorenza le dice a Demetrio que por él es capaz de abandonar a Arcadio. Azul rechaza de nuevo a Santiago recordándole que es casado. Mariano llega y le exige que salga de su casa y que no vuelva nunca. Demetrio le propone a Lorenza que...

Santiago se siente muy dolido y Azul decide regresar a Tequila para salvar su dignidad. En la cantina del pueblo, Azul se hace amiga de Lázara y le platica todo sobre su vida y su gran amor por Santiago. Le confiesa que ha decidido seguir siendo señorita y que ni por pasión ni por dinero se entregará a otro hombre. Santiago tiene impresionado a la Condesa, quien quiere ir a buscar a Azul, pues siente curiosidad por conocer a la mujer que le ha robado el corazón al apuesto joven
El Universal, 4/11/99 - Azul sigue rechazando a Santiago, le pide la deje en paz. Azul decide regresar a Tequila para intentar salvar su dignidad. En la cantina del pueblo, Azul se hace amiga de Lázara y le platica todo sobre su vida y gran amor por Santiago. Este tiene impresionada a La Condesa, quien quiere ir a buscar a Azul, pues tiene curiosidad por conocer a la mujer que le ha robado el corazón. Lorenza visita a Demetrio y le dice que lo quiere, pero él la rechaza. Arcadio habla mal de Azul.

TV Azteca - 4/12-16/99- Demetrio rechaza a Lorenza. Azul le miente a Santiago para que ya no insista en tener una relación. Azul regresa a Tequila para acabar con los rumores. Trabaja en la cantina del pueblo. Arcadio le jura a su papá que él no adulteró el tequila. Adolfo al creer que Santiago adulteró el tequila lo denuncia para que lo encarcelen. María Jacinta ayuda a escapar a Santiago cuando van a detenerlo. Azul se hace muy amiga de Lázara, le cuenta que siempre ha estado enamorada de Santiago y que no se entregará a nadie más ni por pasión ni por dinero. La Condesa desea que Santiago sea su amante. Al saber que él sigue enamorado de Azul decide averiguar quién es ella. Sola, María Jacinta se atormenta pensando que su esposo sigue enamorado de Azul. Demetrio le exige a Lorenza que se tenga respeto, ella se va enojada. En la cantina, Arcadio dice muchas mentiras sobre Azul, antes de que pelee con Santiago, Demetrio les avisa que doña Clara se puso muy mala. Eustaquio cumple con su venganza matando a Fabián delante de Justino, quien llora arrepentido de haber provocado la muerte de su hijo. Demetrio le ofrece a Azul su cuarto para que duerma. La Condesa sabe que Mariano sigue amando a Azul y va al pueblo a buscarlo.
Azul and Mariano don't marry. Santiago takes her away from the Condesa's house and gets them rooms in a hotel. La Condesa and Hilda turn up. Azul tells Santiago that she has been Mariano's amante and left his house because of a tiff, that he should return to Maria Jacinta. Angry, and feeling deceived, he leaves. Maria Jacinta has gone crazy. Demetrio treats her and talks again with Lorenza. Arcadia tries to pass off Lazara, the cantinera, as his wife in order to buy/sell something. But she repents and tells the caballero the truth; he continues to treat her as a lady. Adolfo hits Arcadio, accusing him of adulterating the tequila. Arcadio says it was Santiago and Adolfo believes him. Maria Clara takes ill. Lorenza talks to Demetrio in his office but he continues to reject her. Azul goes to work in the cantina, convinced that this is the way she can prove to all that she is a decent woman! Santiago confronts Mariano with what Azul said; Mariano refuses to confirm or deny it. Adolfo arrives with the police and hits Santiago, but he escapes. Santiago visits his ill mother.
7/19-21: Arcadio severely beats up Lorenza, thinking that her baby is Demetrio's. She doesn't tell on him to his father. Demetrio prevents Arcadio from hitting her again and advises Adolfo that Lorenza will be better off with her father. Mariano visits Azul in the cantina and thanks her for her lie. Maria Jacinta is still crazy. Arcadio meets up with Nicanor; he has a job for him. Demetrio gives Azul a room in his consulturio, saying it will be safer than the cantina. Eustaquio kill Fabian.

7/23- Demetrio takes Lorenza to her father's house and promises never to leave her. Santiago returns Maria Jacinta to her house after she comes to the jail. A drunk Justino tells Adolfo that it was Arcadio not Fabian who was guilty. Adolfo tells him that he is, indeed, responsible for his son's death because he kept quiet. Arcadio gets drunk again. Mariano tries to get Santiago out of jail. Adolfo begs Santiago's forgiveness. Nicanor tells Arcadio that he never touched Azul, that it was the other one.
El Universal, 4/18/99 - Maria Jacinta está segura que muy pronto estará junto a Santiago pues es inocente y como Azul lo rechazó volverá a ella. Arcadio quiere llevarse a Lorenza por la fuerza pero su padre no se lo permite. Eustaquio reconoce que es un error que Santiago esté en la cárcel pues él no es culpable de la muerte de su hijo y para probarle su arrepentimiento le promete ayudarlo a escapar de la cárcel. Santiago lo único que quiere es buscar a Azul. Mariano y La Condesa recuerdan su amor de juventud. Santiago y Azul se encuentran y él le dice que la sigue amando.
TV Azteca, 4/19-23/99 :Azul llora al enterarse de que asesinaron a su hermano Fabián. Justino se siente culpable. Adolfo siente remordimientos por haber metido a la cárcel a Santiago. Arcadio decide huir para no enfrentarse a su padre. Se hace aliado de los bandidos que atacaron la hacienda, y ordena a Nicanor secuestrar al doctor Demetrio. María Jacinta sigue internada. Lorenza dice a María Jacinta que pronto se aclarará que Santiago es inocente y estará junto a ella. María Jacinta empieza a tener momentos de lucidez. Arcadio intenta llevarse a Lorenza por la fuerza, pero su papá lo mpide. Arcadio le dice que encontró a Nicanor, ella teme que Arcadio descubra que Nicanor la violó y que por él está embarazada. Demetrio tiene muchas atenciones hacia Azul. Lorenza siente celos, y en el pueblo se murmura sobre un romance entre Azul y el doctor. El psiquiatra logra hacer reaccionar a María Jacinta. Al llegar Lorenza, Arcadio le pregunta si a ella la violaron los bandidos, ella no le contesta. Arcadio jura que vengará su deshonra. Eustaquio reconoce su error, Santiago no es culpable de la muerte de su hijo y lo ayudará a escapar de la cárcel. Santiago huye, sólo lleva un pensamiento: Encontrar a Azul. Lorenza encuentra a Demetrio con Azul. Mariano y la Condesa recuerdan su amor de juventud, piensan que podrían renacer su pasión. Los bandidos no logran secuestrar al doctor Demetrio. Santiago se oculta de la policía y busca a Azul en su casa, quiere conseguir su amor. Demetrio esconde a Santiago. La Condesa propone a Lorenza que se vaya a la capital para que ahí nazca su hijo. Santiago le jura a Azul que la sigue amando, ella finge despreciarlo. Adolfo le dice a Eustaquio que el verdadero culpable de la muerte de su hijo es Arcadio. Arcadio ordena a sus bandidos que le lleven a Azul a la fuerza. Nicanor tells Arcadio that he never touched Azul, that it was the other. Justino hangs himself.

El Diario de Yucatan, 4/23/99: En "Azul tequila", Arcadio se opone a que Lorenza viaje al D.F. para tener su bebé. Lorenza va al consultorio de Demetrio y le reclama que Azul viva en su casa. El médico le explica que Azul está enferma y que él lo único que intenta es curarla. Azul está llena de rencor hacia Santiago y dice que jamás le perdonará que se haya casado con María Jacinta. Demetrio se sorprende al verla tan enojada y diciendo que Santiago escapó de la cárcel porque debe ser cierto que adulteró el tequila. La joven refuerza su argumento señalando que "hasta su padre lo entregó a la justicia". Santiago la escucha sin ser visto. Más tranquila, Lorenza comenta con la Condesa que sigue dudando sobre quién es el verdadero padre del niño que espera. La Condesa le propone que se vayan a México para que al momento que nazca el bebé ella esté más tranquila, pero Arcadio no la deja ir, porque tiene que comprobar si el niño que tendrá su esposa tiene el lunar que distingue a los Berriozabal. El teme que el niño no es de él sino del bandido que se aprovechó de Lorenza. Adolfo se muestra muy sorprendido, pues siempre pensó que la mujer violada era Azul.
El Universal, 4/25/99: Lorenza no soporta la idea de que Azul viva en casa de Demetrio, éste le explica que Azul está enferma y que lo único que intenta es curarla. Lorenza le comenta a La Condesa que sigue dudando sobre quién es el verdadero padre del niño que espera. Azul jamás perdonará a Santiago por haberse casado con Ma. Jacinta. La Condesa decide ayudar a Lorenza y le propone que se vayan a México para que al momento que nazca el bebé ella este más tranquila. Adolfo se queda muy sorprendido, él siempre pensó que la mujer violada había sido Azul.
TV Azteca, 4/26-30/99: Demetrio le aclara a Lorenza que está tratando de curar a Azul, pues le afectó mucho la muerte de su hermano. Adolfo advierte a Arcadio que no podrá salir de la hacienda sin su permiso, tienen cuentas pendientes que arreglar. Demetrio cree que Lorenza fue a verlo porque desea que la ayude cuando nazca su hijo. Lorenza comenta a la Condesa que tiene dudas de quién es el verdadero padre de su niño. Demetrio informa a Azul que Santiago escapó de la cárcel. Azul jamás le perdonará a Santiago que se haya casado con María Jacinta. Demetrio se sorprende al verla tan enojada y que lo acuse de haber adulterado el tequila. Santiago la escucha sin ser visto. La Condesa se quiere llevar a Lorenza a la ciudad de México para que allá nazca su hijo. Santiago se mete al consultorio y le dice a Azul que nunca ha dejado de amarla y la besa. Ella lo rechaza y amenaza con gritar para que lo encuentre la policía. Arcadio se enoja al saber que se llevarán a Lorenza a la capital, no lo permitirá Ante el reclamo de Adolfo a Arcadio por haber adulterado el tequila, este le contesta que él no es culpable. Arcadio dice a su padre que no permitirá que se lleven a Lorenza a México, quiere comprobar que el bebé tenga el lunar de todos los Berriozabal, porque si no sería hijo del bandido que la violó. Adolfo queda impresionado, siempre creyó que la mujer violada había sido Azul.
Arcadio and Nicanor kidnap Azul and Demetrio. Santiago rescues them.
Diario de Yucatan, 4/30/99: Arcadio, muy sonriente, dice a Adolfo que pronto nacerá su nieto, pues ya está muy avanzado el embarazo de Lorenza. Santiago, quien se encuentra escondido en el consultorio de Demetrio, se queja porque está muy cerca de Azul, pero no puede hablar con ella. Nicanor lanza una mirada amenazadora sobre uno de los bandidos que asegura que podría sacarle buen dinero a Arcadio si le revela quién fue el hombre que violó a una mujer en el jacal
TV Azteca, 5/3-7/99: Con tal de no perder la herencia, Arcadio está decidido a jurarle a Adolfo que el hijo de Lorenza es suyo, sin importarle que el bebé sea producto de la violación que sufrió la muchacha. Azul le comenta a Demetrio que Santiago trata de enamorarla. Arcadio muy sonriente le dice a Adolfo que pronto nacerá su nieto. Santiago se queja de no poder acercarse a Azul. El médico le advierte a Santiago que deje en paz a Azul porque está muy sensible desde la muerte de su hermano. Nicanor amenaza a uno de los bandidos, cuando éste asegura que podría sacarle dinero a Arcadio revelándole quien fue el hombre que violó a una mujer en el jacal. El doctor Demetrio se alarma al comprobar que en el pueblo hay una epidemia. Le prohibe a Azul salir a la calle y busca a Lorenza para avisarle. Lorenza piensa que Demetrio quiere alejarla del pueblo para quedarse solo con Azul. Arcadio quiere saber a quien realmente violaron los bandidos, si es necesario pagará para que le digan la verdad. Lorenza encuentra a Matilde con fiebre, entonces se da cuenta de que sí es cierto lo de la epidemia. Lorenza reconoce lo que significa Matilde para ella, en eso llega Arcadio y se la lleva por la fuerza, para que el bandido le diga si esa es la mujer que violó en el jacal. Lazara tells Arcadio, as a favor to Azul, that it was she whom Nicanor raped. Azul, Maria Jacinta, Lorenza, Demetrio and Mariano argue about who should stay and who should go.
El Universal, 5/9/99: Santiago tiene que esconderse de la policía, por lo que Matilde se enfurece. Un campesino agoniza en el consultorio de Demetrio y le pide que lo salve para revelar un secreto muy importante. Lorenza está en los dolores del parto y Arcadio se entera que están en peligro tanto la vida de Lorenza como la del bebé. Ante la confesión del campesino Arcadio es detenido y Adolfo le informa que no recibirá ni un quinto de la herencia, que todo será para Santiago. Lorenza decide irse a vivir a México.
Diario de Yucatan, 5/8/99: Santiago tiene que esconderse de la policía. Matilde se enfurece y regaña a Azul porque no le hace caso a Santiago a pesar de que lo ama. Un campesino agoniza en el consultorio de Demetrio y le pide que lo salve sólo para revelar que fue Arcadio quien adulteró el tequila y no Santiago. Ante la confesión del campesino, Arcadio es detenido y Adolfo le informa que no recibirá nada de la herencia, ya que todo será para Santiago. Lorenza empieza a dar a luz, pero su vida y la del niño están en peligro. Luego de horas de angustia, Demetrio logra salvar a ambos. Lorenza decide irse a México y comenzar una nueva vida. Santiago y Azul hablan.- 8:30 de la noche, Canal 11.
TV Azteca, 5/10-14/99: Matilde se enoja porque quieren meter a Santiago a la cárcel por un delito que no cometió. Azul se sorprende al verla tan enojada. Matilde regaña a Azul por no entender lo que hace Santiago por ella. Adolfo queda sorprendido cuando Matilde le reclama que se porte mal con Santiago y le dice que Arcadio es el verdadero culpable de la adulteración del tequila. Un campesino moribundo quiere revelarle un secreto a Demetrio Adolfo siente remordimientos por su proceder con Santiago y está totalmente decepcionado de Arcadio. El secreto del campesino es que ayudó a Arcadio a adulterar el tequila. Le avisan a Demetrio que Lorenza está en los últimos dolores del parto. Santiago queda libre de culpa, cuando el campesino confiesa que Arcadio falsificó el tequila. Lorenza se pone grave cuando va a nacer su bebé, Demetrio salva a los dos. Arcadio es detenido y encarcelado. Adolfo le reprocha las infamias que cometió. Adolfo le advierte a Arcadio que no recibirá nada de herencia, todo será para Santiago. Lorenza se va con su hijo a vivir a México. Santiago pide a Azul que se sincere y diga que lo ama. Posteriomente, ella se entera de que María Jacinta anuló su matrimonio. Adolfo le regala a Azul una de sus haciendas y podría vivir feliz con Santiago si quisiera.

Ultima Semana: Lorenza and the recovered Maria Jacinta care for matilde. Lorenza begs her forgiveness. Maria Jacinta treats Matilde as if she were her mother. More arguments about who should stay and who should leave. Maria Clara for the first time doubts the teas of macaria. Arcadio kidnaps Lorenza and takes her to Nicanor who confirms that she is the one he raped. Arcadio tells the family and Lorenza admits the truth. Arcadio drags her out to the campo again where she goes into premature labor. Severio gets Demetrio, they tie up Arcadio. Lorenza gives birth in Severio's hut. The child is, indeed, Arcadio's (has the birthmark) but dies. Arcadio's accomplice confesses to Sixto that it was he and Arcadio who adulterate the tequila. Sixto arrests a drunk Arcadio. Adolfo, Maria Clara, and Mariano mourn the loss of their grandchild. A very sick Lorenza does not yet know. Sixto tells Adolfo who visits the jail and hits Arcadio. Arcadio escapes. Mariano asks Matilde to marry him.

Summary 72 Thursday 8/5/99***** El Gran Final Name: rocio & jorge Date: 08/08/99 04:35 Seferino tells Maria Clara that their carriage is ready and that he and Santiago will catch up to them later. Macrina asks if she can go with them to the cemetery. Maria Clara says that of course not and that when they come back Maria Clara wants Macrina to be gone. Macrina replies that the only person that can fire her is Adolfo. Maria Clara tells Macrina not to make it more difficult. Adolfo comes in and tells Maria Clara that he is ready to go. Macrina jumps in and tells Adolfo about MC's plans of firing her. Maria Clara responds that she doesn't want Macrina to be under her service anymore. Adolfo tells Macrina that if Maria Clara has her reasons of not wanting her there then Maria Clara can fire her and not to bother him with unimportant things. And Maria Clara and Adolfo leave. Mariano is coming down the stairs and asks Maria Jacinta if she is coming to the cemetery. MJ says that she will stay home to take care of Matilde. Brigida, who is standing next to MJ, tells Mariano that she will take good care of Lorenza. Mariano thanks Brigida and kisses MJ in forehead and leaves. Ubenza catches up with Santiago, who is about to leave for the cementery, and tries to hand him a cup of hot chocolate. San thanks her for worrying about him, but tell her that his parents left the house about 15 minutes ago and he needs to catch up to them. Suddenly Seferino comes running and asks San to guest who just got there. San is puzzle. Azul comes in and tells San that she was looking for Maria Clara but that Sef already told her that Maria Clara was not there. So Azul is just going to leave. Ubenza makes herself scarce. San asks Sef to leave with out him. As soon as Sef leave, San brags Azul by the hand and pulls her in. San asks Azul if she was just going to stand at the door. Azul replied that since Mama Clara was not there she was going to catch up to them has well. Azul starts to walk towards the door. San once again grabs her by hand and pulls her in. San tells Azul that they need to talk with heart, with truth. Not with lies, hypocrisy and sacrifice. Azul pulls her hand away from his. She asks San what he was talking about. San explains that Azul wanted to sacrifice herself out of respect and gratitude for Mariano. Azul jumps in and say because she was Mar's mistress. San tells her that not because she Mar's mistress but because she never was. And also because Azul wants San to go back with Maria Jacinta. San tells Azul that he can't because he is in love with her. Azul annoy by his confession. Tells him that anything between them is too late since he is already marry. San with the same passion tells Azul that she loves him and that he loves her. And that if she doesn't confesses it, he is going to kiss her. San brags Azul by her head pulls her in and kisses her.
Suddenly the bandits lead by Nicanor burst in with gun on hand. Nicanor order his man to go for the golden virgin. Startle by Nicanor's voice Azul pulls away from San. San with his hand around Azul's waist pulls her behind him. Azul recognizes Nic and calls out his name with fear. San demands to know what the hell he is doing there. Nic also recognizes Azul and calls her his virgencita. The bandit run towards the chapel to get the virgin. With lust and his eyes Nic keeps repeating "my virgencita". San afraid for Azul. Pushes her and tell to run out there. When Nic sees that San tell Azul to run he fires his gun and hits him in one of his legs. San falls to the ground. He knocks a table down and land s on the floor. Azul runs back calling San's name. She kneels next to San. The two other bandits appear in the door way back from the chapel with golden virgin. Nic tells them to leave. The bandits run out of there. Nic tries to get close to Azul but is stop by Seferino. Seferino with machete in hand orders Nic to freeze. Nic elbows Sef in the head. That hit thoughts Sef out of balance sending him down to the floor knocking a table down with him. Nic runs towards the door he stop at the entrance and shoot at Sef. Nic hit Sef in one of his arms. Azul yells out Sef name. With big grind Nic leaves. Azul runs over to Sef. She stand between the two injured man and doesn't know what to do. She knock a table down with her and dress and calls for Macrina. San holding on the ground does the same thing. Macrina appears on the door. San order Macrina to call for help. Macrina replies that everybody is at the cemetery. San gets up and limbs towards Macrina as he tell her to help to his horse so he can catch up to the bandits. San reaches Macrina but Macrina just stand there.
Demetrio cover another dead body with a sheet. Florencio comes in. D asks Flo how Abundio was doing. Flo tells D that Abundio died swearing that the one that created the Illegal Tequila was Arcadio. D grabs his bag and tell Flo that he is going to see Lorenza. In San Jose de la Mate. Arcadio sliders in. He climbs over a close gate inside and moves up the stairs directly to Lorenza's room. Azul is cleaning Santiago's wound with a piece of rag. San moans out of pain. Azul asks him if she had hurt him. San replied that he had hope that everything felt like that pain since Azul had hurt him worse. Ubenza comes running in and tell San that she found two peones and that they are on there way to help them. Seferino is on the floor holding his baby. San tells Ubenza that the only thing he needs is to go after those bastards. Azul tells that the bandits are long gone and that he should stay still. San replies that he needs to do something. Brigida hears steps behind her and says that they need to keep quiet that Lorenza just fell sleep. Arcadio goes over to Lorenza and order Brigida to help him wake up L that he is going to take her. Brigida's face gets full of fear. She tell Arc that he can't take L. Arc replies that he has every right to take L. Brigida tells Arc that he broke out of jail and that people are going to be looking for him. Arc tells Brigida that, that is exactly his point that if they try to go after him he was going to kill L. Arc sit L up and put a zarape are her. Brigida pulls Arc away from L and tell him that he is not going to take her. Arc pulls out his gun and orders Brigida to finish putting the zarape on L. Azul is helping Santiago walk and Ubenza is by Seferino's side. Azul says that they are injured and that they should be careful. San tells her not to worry that they are armed and if his parents ask about him he went looking for Nicanor. Ubenza asks where they are going to be looking for him. San replies that he doesn't know that they are going to be looking in the field. San and Sef leave to look for Nic.
Matilde and Maria Jacinta are talking. Mat is happy that Mariano didn't take Lorenza to the cemetery. Mat says that she feels better and that she wants to take care of L. MJ replies that Mariano will be home soon and that she should keep resting because she might get sick again. And that L need her right now and that's not a good idea. Mat tells MJ that she is a good woman. MJ responds by saying that she is but it doesn't matter because Santiago doesn't love her. Mat tells her not to think about that and that the only thing that matters is that she is well. And to let San leave, to give him his liberty and let life chose. MJ replies that she loves San. Mat asks her if she has ever been in love. MJ responds that not like she loves San. That San is her husband and that maybe in time. Mat responds that maybe with time but that San has to be free to chose to who to stay with because if MJ doesn't do that she'll never have San. Demetrio enters at San Jose de la Mate. D sees that Arcadio has Lorenza in his arms. In the cave the bandits are fighting because Nicanor won't let them hold the golden virgin. Demetrio is now pointing a gun at Arcadio and is telling him to put Lorenza down. L is now awake and is yelling at Arc to put her down. Arc sets down L and grabs her by the neck and takes out his gun and tells D that if he wants to kill L he can shoot her. L tells d to shoot that her life doesn't matter. Arc replies that L wants to die but that D wants her alive. L keeps insisting that D shoots. D yells once again at Arc and demands for him to let L go. Sixto and some of his people walk in. Sixto takes out his gun and says that he knew that he was going to find Arc there. Arc tells them all to leave and if they don't let him escape L will die with him. D tells Arc that he won't get far because this time D will kill him. Arc backs away and repeats that if they follow him he'll kill L. L tries to escape but Arc grabs her by the hair. Arc warns them that if they shoot he'll kill L. L tells them to shoot. D tells everybody else to set there weapons down. Arc takes that as an opportunity and pushes L and he goes out the same way that Santiago used to escape. L rolls down the stairs. D stops L from rolling any further. And tells them not to let Arc escape. Sixto goes up the stairs and starts shooting. Sixto's men go after Arc. Santiago is riding through the field and stops to talk to Seferino. San asks Sef if he has seen anything. Sef replies that he hasn't seen a thing. San recommends a new route to Sef and that they need to find those bandits. San goes galloping off. Sef follows San.
In la Concordia Ubenza and Azul tell Maria Clara and Adolfo what happen. That Santiago and Seferino went after them. Azul tells Maria Clara and Adolfo that Macrina didn't want to help and that both San and Sef are hurt. Maria Clara is shocked and Adolfo goes of mad to go talk to Macrina. Macrina is in the kitchen saying that sooner or later he would be looking for her. Adolfo wants to know what Macrina knows about the bandits, he suspects that Macrina help them because she didn't do anything to help Seferino and Santiago. Macrina replies that she doesn't work for them anymore and that the only reason she stayed was so she could tell him that San isn't that badly hurt. Adolfo tells her not to lie to him, and that he knows that she is a strong woman that doesn't fold. And that she should of helped the people of the house, and that if she really felt respect and affection for them. Macrina replies that Maria Clara knows who she loves and so does he. Adolfo responds that he knows that she is unconditional to Arcadio but right now he is to crazy with all that's happening, Arc escaping form jail and San being hurt. And asks Macrina where he can find the bandits. Macrina retorts if Maria Clara will let her do the honors. Maria Clara replies anything to save her children. Adolfo tells her to say what she knows. Macrina reminds Adolfo that he fired her. Adolfo tells her that he did fire her but she has always shown her love for Arc and that now Adolfo needs for her to show it to him. Macrina responds that it is now about Adolfo and tells him what the bandits said about meeting in a cave. Adolfo thanks Macrina and leaves who is followed by Maria Clara. Macrina quickly asks if she can stay. Adolfo tells her no that that's definitive and leaves. Lorenza is in her room crying and asks Catalina if they were with the child the whole time. Cat tells L to stop thinking about that and to think about the man that's in love with her and may start a new life with. L simply says no. Demetrio walks in and asks why. Is because she doesn't love him enough to be married to a simple man like him. As D comes close to L, Cat moves away. And asks her if she is still dreaming of a life filled with luxuries. Arcadio is riding in a field and shooting to the person following him. As that person is also shooting. Lorenza asks Demetrio to give her two weeks to calm herself and to think things through. D responds by asking if it is because she doesn't love her anymore. L tells him because she does love him with all her soul. That she wants to reach him with tranquility, more calmly, and mor clean. L asks D to think what her life has been and that she can't think of being happy now that she as lost her baby. That the only he came to tell her, to live, but that he condemn her. D goes more near to L and takes her hand and says that he understands her and he'll wait for her. L once again says that she needs more time, time to feel that she is paying for her faults and to reach D without any remorse. And asks if he'll do it. D tells her that he will anything for them to be together.
In the cave Cascabel has his gun behind him and is walking to the nameless bandit. Cascabel shoots him and takes away the golden virgin from him. Maria Clara is praying to her virgin and asks her to make justice and to protect her family. In the camp of the bandits Adolfo is there. Santiago and Seferino are right behind him. Adolfo asks if they are okay. San tells him it was nothing serious. Adolfo asks if they were lucky to find Arcadio. San replies that he hasn't found anybody. San asks if they should stick together. Adolfo replies that it would be faster if they go their separate ways. San and Sef go their way and Adolfo goes his way. Arcadio is entering the cave. Arc kicks the nameless bandit to see if he ia drunk or alive. Arc moves on and goes to Nicanor and tells him that he needs help because he needs to escape. Nic wakes up and sees that the virgin is gone. (Nic is also bleeding from the head) Nic tells Arc to go to hell that he is not going to help him. Arc mad that Nic won't help him, points his gun at him and tell him that he is going to die. Arc pulls the trigger and nothing happens, his gun doesn't have bullets any longer. Nic takes advantage of Arc's distractions and brags a stick that was next to him. Gets up. And hit Arc with it. Arc hit the dirt and Nic runs out of there. In the next chamber we see Adolfo coming in with his guns out. Nic comes in is stop by a very angry Adolfo who tells Nic that he has been looking for him. Adolfo accuses Nic of getting Arc involve in the Illegal Tequila business. Arc gets up. He finds some bullets and starts looking for his gun. Nic's denies any involvement. Adolfo tells Nic that he knows that Arc was also involved but that the person that got Arc involved in the business was him. Arc gets his guns ready as he listens to the argument between his father and Nic. Nic tells Adolfo that he maybe a thief but that he never would get involved in such a nasty business.
Arc heads over to the next chamber. Adolfo losing his patients tells Nic to tell the truth. Nic once again denies any involvement and this time he swears for the virgin (where ever she may be at). Nic sees Arc coming and tells Adolfo to asks him. Arc comes in with his withdrawn. Adolfo tells Arc to accuse Nic in his face. He tells Arc that if he is guilty that they will see what they do, but that if Nic is the guilty that he will kill him right there. Arc not wanting his lie to be discover launches against Nic yelling "tell him the truth, tell him the truth." Arc pushes Nic and them punches Nic across the face. Suddenly el Cascabel hits Adolfo with a chair across the back knocking him unconscious. Arc turns around and kills el Cascabel. Nic attacks Arc now that he is distracted and punches Arc. Arc stumbles down on the floor Arc find a bottle of Tequila. When Nic goes after Arc. Arc smashes the bottle on Nic's head. Them Arc throws in Nic's face Tequila. Arc tries attacking Nic. But Nic receives him with a knee on the stomach. Arc fulls to the ground. Adolfo wakes up and brags his head. Adolfo gets up and his back is towards Nic. Nic grabs a pinch fork and attacks Adolfo. Arc yells to his dad to watch out and runs to put himself between the pinch fork and Adolfo. The pinch fork ends in Arcs stomach. Out of anger and revenge Adolfo fires his gun at Nic as he holds on to Arc's body. Adolfo hits Nic twice. Nic stumbles back. He trips and one of his knees land on the fire pit. Nic caught on fire. Adolfo fires two times again as Nic dances on fire around the cave. With tears in his eyes and holding his dying son says, "You lie to me. You lie to me. But I knew that you were lying to me. But I didn't want to accepted, I wanted it to deny it." "Nooooooooo. Why? Why? God almighty why?," La Concordia fills with Maria Clara scream, like if she knew what had just happened. She hugs herself and tears rolled down her cheek. Ubenza and Seferino are with Santiago and are telling him the horrible news. San is in shock. Sef tries to console San. Macrina is crying for her precious baby.
"Weeks Later" Lorenza is looking in her mirror and hears the door open. L is holding a letter in her hand. Matilde comes in and tells L that Demetrio is there to see her. L doesn't want to see him. Mat wants for L to see D. L tells Mat not to tell D what she is planning on doing. L sets the letter down and puts a lamp over it. Mat says that he deserves to know the truth. L tells Mat that she is asleep and she still feels weak. Mat says that that's the same thing she said yesterday. L tells Mat to convince D to come the next day and not to tell him that she has planned to leave to Mexico with Catalina. Demetrio and Mariano are talking. D asks if he can have Lorenza's hand in marriage. Mariano tells him that he would be happy to oblige because D has shown a true love for L. But that L needs time. D tells Mariano that he is willing to let L have as much time as she needs but he would like to have Mar's authorization. Mariano tells D that he does have his authorization. Azul and Santiago are talking in the field. San tells that this last few days have had an important impact on his parent. That her presence to Maria Clara is like if she had a daughter. Azul responds that she is happy that Maria Clara is doing better. San asks about them. Azul tells San not to keep insisting. And to leave things how they are because of everything that has happened, all of the people that have died and we should have already put distance between them, and that they know that they still love each other. San tries to kiss her but Azul stops him and asks to go back to el consultorio. Adolfo interrupts them and tells them that he was looking for them. Azul asks Adolfo how Maria Clara was doing. Adolfo replied that Maria Clara is doing great.
Adolfo never imagine how strong Maria Clara really was until now. San asks his dad if he needed to speak to him. Adolfo replied that he needed to speak to Azul. Lorenza and Maria Jacinta walk hand on hand into the livingroom. Lorenza calls MJ sister. L tells MJ that she is going to leave Tequila with la condesa and go to Mexico City with her. MJ ask L if it was true that Azul was going with them. L replied that Azul doesn't want to be an obstacle for MJ's happiness. MJ retorts that no matter what Santiago won't ever love her. Matilde comes down the stairs with a beautiful hair do. Mariano, who was sitting in the livingroom is surprise to her that L called MJ sister. Mariano is really happy that finally his two daughter see each other as that sister. MJ tells Mariano that there is no other way that they can see each other, then sister. MJ also tell Mariano that she loves her sister very much and kisses L in the forehead. L says that nothing brings families together like tragedy. MJ replies that L's pain is her pain. That for the first time in her life she finally knew that pain and sorrow were and stop seeing pain were it didn't existed. Mariano agrees with her and tells them [L and MJ] that he stop putting attention to small thing and started paying attention to bigger and greater things. He open his arms and call his two daughters. L and MJ find themselves in the embrace of their father. Mat finally reaches them and tells them that they need to hurry. Mariano and his daughters look loving at Mat, the woman who as sacrifice everything for them. Adolfo thanks Azul for being there for Maria Clara after the death of Arcadio like a real daughter. Azul replies that he doesn't have to thank her that she loves Maria Clara like if she was her real mom. Adolfo confesses that he feel bad that every time Azul went to see Maria Clara, she never except their hospitality and stay in la Casa Grande. Adolfo also tell Azul that he knows that she is living with Lazara in her little room. Azul looks down and asks Adolfo if that is enough for him to talk bad about her. Azul informs Adolfo that Lazara has change a lot. Adolfo interrupts Azul and tells her that, that is not what he meant. Adolfo explain to Azul that for same time he has seen her drift from here to there like lost, unprotected and without a home. That he as seen her survive by her own strength and being innocent from everything everybody has accuses her. Azul replies that God is just and that one day. Adolfo interrupts Azul and tell her that today, today God was going to just with her. He tells Azul that he knows of the enormous love she as for Santiago and also that San loves her above everything but that there is nothing he can do about it since San is already marry. But Adolfo tell her that it is not fair that in the meantime she doesn't have a home. To Azul's surprise, Adolfo gives Azul la Gavena. Azul asks Adolfo why he was doing that. Adolfo simply replied that she had earn it and to also honor the memory of Fabian, who was an excellent young man. Adolfo tells Azul that he is going to order right away to fix the Gavena to Azul's taste so she can move in right away. Adolfo once again emphasizes that Azul is the Duena (owner) of la Gavena for being kind, for your valor, and for being honest. Azul speechless kisses Adolfo on the cheek. Seferino and Ubenza take Victoria to see Maria Clara. They asks Maria Clara to be the godmother of Victoria's christening and their marriage. Maria Clara is glad to do it.
Mariano thanks Catalina for everything that she did. Cat thanks him for showing her something real in life. Cat and Mariano finally agree that there futile intend of rekindling their lost romance was useless that it wouldn't have work out in the long run, especially knowing that a wonderful woman like Matilde love Mariano with all of her heart. Maria Jacinta find Santiago in the field looking at his Agaves. MJ asks San why he hasn't been over to San Jose de la Mate to see her. San excuses himself by saying that he has been really busy helping out with the epidemic. MJ comments that the whole town is really surprise how Azul and him have responded by helping out so much, the town is especially surprise with Azul after all the bad thing everybody had said about her. San tells MJ that Azul is not a bad woman, that she has suffer a lot. He explains to MJ that she at least she has her dad, her sister, Matilde. MJ interrupts San and tells him that she doesn't have him. San swear in the love that he has for his mother that he can stop loving Azul. San explains to MJ that Azul is like the savia that runs through the Agaves. That because of Azul he is and he exists. MJ tells him to stop that it is useless because she is going to give the annulment. MJ smiles. MJ tells San to run and tell Azul. San smiles and kisses MJ and hugs her. Demetrio is opening a letter from Lorenza. In the letter L informs D that she is leaving Tequila and that there relationship can't be. That the only thing he is following is passion and love and that later in life he'll regret making L his wife. And that even though she is putting distance between them she will always love him. Lazara and Azul are talking. Lazara is asking Azul if Catalina agreed for Lazara to go with her. Lazara is happy that she is able to change her life for the better. Suddenly violins are heard Lazara says that it must be for Azul. Santiago arrives with the little group and announces that hw has something to tell Azul besides that he loves her. Azul asks why he is doing that. San replies that he had to do like that with music celebrating what he has to tell her. San informs Azul that Maria Jacinta will give him the annulment of their marriage. Azul gets a big grin on her face and hugs San. Demetrio has arrived at San Jose de la Mate. Mariano is there to receive him. D asks Mariano where has Lorenza gone too. Mariano replies that L made promise that he wouldn't tell D where she was going. D looks bummed. Mariano tells him that one thing is for sure that Brigida is there with L and Mariano can tell D where Brigida is. Mariano tells D that L and Brigida are on there way to la dilegencia. D smiles and thanks Mariano and leaves in a hurry. Mariano is left with a big grin on his face.
The carriage that has Catalina, Lorenza, Lazara, Brigida, and the driver is on its way to la dilegeincia. Cat asks L if it's hard to leave love behind. L responds that she knows that it hurts a lot. Brigida gasps and ask what are they going to do. Lazara sees Dr. Gallarza. Cat tells L that the least she can do is talk to him. L reveals that if she sees him she won't be able to leave him. Brigida says that she will be happier if they stay instead of going to the capital. D tells L to get out of the carriage. L tells D that he is nobody to tell her what to do. D informs L that if she doesn't get out of the carriage he'll do it himself. L tells D that the letter she wrote him was what she decided to do. D gets off the horse and tells L that now she is going to listen to what he has decided. D excuses himself from the rest of the group and grabs L in a passionate kiss. D tells L that she is going to be his not tomorrow but today. D tells L that he has been in love with her since the day he met her and can't wait to get into town. L asks what D is thinking about. D tells her that the priest will marry them, and they are going to see him right now and asks L what see thinks about that. L doesn't know but D tells her that he does and kisses her again. We see the cross and the priest and the couple being married, Azul and Santiago. The priest is saying the last wedding rites as we see Azul, San, Adolfo and Maria Clara, Lorenza, and Demetrio. The priest says, "You may now kiss the bride." and leaves. Azul and Santiago are standing and kiss. Once again we see Adolfo now shaking his head. Lorenza and Demetrio and behind them Ubenza and Seferino. And finally Maria Clara. WEDDING NIGHT: Candles surround Azul and Santiago as they kiss and explored their bodies for the first time. He kisses her passionately and she kisses him back with the same heat and intensity. This time there is no stopping destiny. There love starts a fire that will burn brightly for all time and space. (YES, finally an end to all that foreplay!)
"Years Later" Party, a lot of people are there. Out in the field. Maria Clara is going "Adolfo, Adolfo come here." Maria Clara cuddles this cutie pututie of a baby. Brigida is commenting on how much baby Adolfo likes horses because he didn't want to leave. Near Brigida there's Ubenza holding Victoria another cutie pututie. Grandfather Adolfo nears and stretches his arms and takes baby Adolfo and comments to Seferino how his grandson is going to be the future heir of his lands. (I don't know where they got this little cutie. He's so adorable!) Seferino responds by saying that from that moment they will teach him everything there is to know about the lands. Maria Clara replies that, that is the reason he was named Adolfo. Grandfather Adolfo responds a Berriozaval. (As you can tell he is really proud of his grandson.) He also comments on how precious is Victoria. Maria Clara replies that the baby girl of Demetrio and Lorenza is also precious. Seferino tells Adolfo, "A lot of good things have happen to us. It seems that we are born from the earth ton give more life, more happiness, and even more love."
Adolfo replies to Seferino that he is a good Indian and the only thing he asks from him is to stick by Santiago now that he is leaving everything to San. Because Maria Clara and his grandson deserve all of his attention. We hear a gasp, we see Matilde and Mariano walking hand in hand to be greeted by Lorenza. She is happy to see her mother and father. Demetrio is also happy to see them, in his arms he has his baby, another cutie pututie. (Where did they get this kids? They're so adorable.) D also asks them how are things were going in Europe. Mat and Mariano respond that things are going peachy and that there ship got held back and that why they are a bit late. But that they wouldn't miss their granddaughter's Baptism. Lorenza reveals how her baby is going to be named, Matilde. L said that it was a present for her mom. L asks how Maria Jacinta is doing. Mariano says that MJ is really ecstatic about her wedding. D asks if MJ is going to marry the french dude. Mariano responds that, yes, she is going to marry a colleagues of his, Dr. Bernard in Paris. D has a surprise for L they are going with her parents attend MJ's wedding. L is happy. Santiago and Azul are by themselves and sitting under the shade of a tree. San says, "Everyday that passes, my love, I'm more happy. I think that everything we suffered, was only to deserve this happiness." Azul responds, "It was worth living that sadness. Our love is so huge it is going to last an eternity." They kiss. Azul gets up and San follows her. Azul spins around and San grabs her for an embrace. Seferino walks to them and tells them that people are waiting for them. Seferino sets down Adolfo. Azul squats down and stretches out her arms and calls for baby Adolfo. Baby Adolfo walks to her. (He is too cute.) Azul takes baby Adolfo in her arms and swings him around. Azul holds the baby and San walks to her and kisses her in the forehead. (How cute!) We see the field of agabes and the sun is going down. We hear Adolfo's voice talking, "How pretty to have the family all reunited like this. And see little children running through this holy lands that have been fertile by tears and love." We see the cast walking in two rows of the agabes. In one row we see Ubenza and Seferino with Victoria and other people behind them. In the other row we see Maria Clara and Adolfo. Behind them are Azul and Santiago with their baby, Lorenza and Demetrio with their baby, and Mariano and Matilde. "So they are there for an example for those to come." The camera zooms in and goes to the side to some agabes which have some writing on them: Fin Azul Tequila The camera zooms out we see the cast for the last time.

CAPÍTULO 1
Azul le confiesa a su padre que no ama a Arcadio sino a Santiago y éste le dice que no es por amor que debe casarse sino por su conveniencia. Santiago le dice a su padre que tiene que suspender la boda de Azul y de Arcadio por los enfrentamientos que hay en el pueblo, luego éste pelea con Arcadio quien le reclama que lo único que quiere es impedir su boda. El comandante Lozada planea tomar el pueblo de Tequila. La esposa de Adolfo le recomienda que no continúe con la boda y que no haga infelices a sus hijos. Las tropas del comandante Lozada cada vez se acercan más al pueblo de Tequila. Mientras Azul se presenta ante arcadio y en eso llega Santiago.
CAPÍTULO 2
Adolfo le pide a Santiago que se vaya y deje de causar provocaciones, luego su madre lo consuela, después le vuelve a advertir a su padre que en el pueblo hay un levantamiento campesino pero éste hace caso omiso y anuncia que "La gaveña" es el regalo de bodas para los novios. Santiago ve como Arcadio besa a Azul y decide unirse a la revuelta luego Fabián le avisa a Azul quien decide ir tras él.
CAPÍTULO 3
Sixto advierte a Adolfo de los planes de los campesinos y finalmente no se lleva a cabo la boda. Azul decide ir en busca de Santiago, quien se da cuenta de un incendio en el potrero de la loma y corre a tratar de apagarlo inútilmente, luego Azul lo encuentra y le dice que no se casará con Arcadio, éste se entera por su nana que Azul se fue tras su hermano, luego se lo cuenta al padre de está, quien la defiende cuando aparece Azul y le dice que no se casará.
CAPÍTULO 4
Arcadio le reclama a Azul haberse ido a buscar a Santiago y ella le dice que no aceptará ser su esposa. Santiago va en busca del comandante Lozada. Arcadio se queda sólo en la hacienda con su madre y Azul. Cuando Santiago encuentra a Lozada le dice que con la violencia no conseguirá nada bueno pero éste le dice que nadie como él, le dirá cómo hacer su lucha. Algunos rebeldes escuchan a Justino decirle a Don Adolfo que "La Arcadia" se quedo prácticamente sola y deciden ir a saquearla.
CAPÍTULO 5
Santiago encuentra a Lozada y le dice que no tiene que sacrificar a tanta gente, discute con él ya que éste dice que es más injusto el que vivan en la pobreza que el hecho de que mueran. Los bandidos revolucionarios llegan a "La Arcadia" y la saquean, uno de ellos se lleva a Azul a golpes mientras Arcadio se esconde. Su padre Adolfo y Justino son acorralados en la plaza por los campesinos levantados en armas.
Cap. 6
Azul es herida y raptada por bandidos que saquearon "La Arcadia" aprovechando que no estaban los patrones. Arcadio se esconde y no hace nada al respecto, su madre entra en shock nervioso. Mientras, en la plaza los hacendados son acorralados por los campesinos. Santiago intenta disuadirlos y lo único que consigue es que lo hieran. Nicanor uno de los bandidos que raptó a Azul está a punto de abusar de ella pero es interrumpido por la visita de un compadre quien trae a otra muchacha raptada.
Cap. 7
Santiago trata de detener a los campesinos en la plaza y uno le dispara. Por la noche comienza un enfrentamiento entre estos y hacendados. Azul está herida y en peligro de ser abusada en la casa de los bandidos. Fabián encuentra a Seferino con su esposa a punto de dar a luz en plena batalla y se regresa en busca de ayuda. Lozada y toda la gente que lo sigue llegan a la plaza a reforzar el levantamiento.
Cap.8
Lozada y sus aliados llegan a la plaza . Santiago vuelve en si y ayuda a otro de los heridos que estaban junto a él. Azul comienza a despertar mientras su compañera de rapto es ultrajada y golpeada. El enfrentamiento termina al rendirse los hacendados, quienes entregan sus armas ante Lozada, mientras la esposa de Seferino , el campesino muere al dar a luz.
Cap. 9
La esposa de Seferino, el campesino, muere al dar a luz, mientras Lozada cobra victoria frente a los hacendados, entre ellos Adolfo y Justino a quienes piensan fusilar al día siguiente según Lozada. Santiago es golpeado cuando pretendía entrar a la plaza en busca de su padre. Azul sigue mal herida e inconsciente en casa de sus raptores. Don Adolfo se salva de ser apaleado por los campesinos gracias al discurso que les da y logra confundirlos.
Cap. 10
Adolfo se enfrenta a Lozada y se salva de ser fusilado, sólo golpean a Justino, el padre de Azul. Arcadio se encuentra con los ladrones que se robaron a Azul y decide seguirlos. Santiago es llevado al lugar donde curan a los campesinos heridos y se dedica a ayudar al doctor, mientras su madre se recupera y pregunta por todos en la hacienda. La muchacha que fue raptada. Junto con Azul logra convencer al tipo que la vigila de dejarla escapar a cambio del anillo que le quitó a Azul.
ap. 11
Sixto decide seguir a Lozada a Guadalajara junto con Adolfo para detenerlo. Nicanor sorprende a la compañera de Azul cuando quería escapar. Arcadio descubre dónde tienen escondida a Azul y cuando esta a punto de salvarla se arrepiente al recordar que ella lo despreció y decide irse del lugar. Santiago se entera de que Lozada les perdonó la vida a los hacendados. La compañera de Azul escapa dejándola sola y herida.
Cap. 12
Arcadio le dispara a Nicanor y cae muerto, luego se arrepiente y cuando llega a "La Arcadia" discute con Justino diciéndole que no encontró a Azul y que él ya no tendrá nada de la hacienda, éste concluye que dirá a la gente que Azul murió defendiendo su honor y le hace una tumba falsa, mientras ella se duele herida e intenta escapar. Arcadio le dice a su madre que Azul está muerta, y hace un pacto con Justino para sostener dicha mentira, ya que lo prefieren a que se sepa que fue robada y ultrajada por unos bandidos.
Cap.13
Azul intenta escapar usando el arma que la otra muchacha raptada le dejó para defenderse, pero uno de los bandidos la detiene, su compañera que había logrado huir llega al lugar donde tienden a los heridos de la batalla, donde Santiago ayuda al doctor, y les pide ayuda para Azul pero sin mencionar su nombre por lo que Santiago no se entera de que se trata de Azul, al llegar a la hacienda le dicen que ésta, murió y que la acaban de enterrar, mientras el doctor la atiende sin saber si logrará vivir.
Cap. 14
Fabián le dice a Santiago que Azul murió y se duele sobre su tumba. El doctor decide llevarse a Azul y a la muchacha que la ayudó al campamento de socorro, logra pasar la noche pero el doctor no sabe si vivirá y éste interroga a su compañera; sin embargo, no logra averiguar nada ya que ella se niega a hablar y se marcha. Adolfo se entera de la muerte de Azul a su llegada a "La Arcadia". Arcadio le dice a Santiago que Azul fue su mujer antes de casarse.
Cap. 15
Adolfo se entera de la falsa muerte de Azul y le recrimina a Santiago haber abandonado a su familia llamándole cobarde en medio de la discusión María Clara se pone enferma. El doctor que atendió a Azul, confunde a su amiga con ella gracias al anillo que le quitó, mientras la verdadera Azul despierta y le platica como fue robada a su nueva amiga. El compadre del bandido Nicanor lo encuentra herido y se lo lleva a su jacal para extraerle la bala. Adolfo le pide una explicación de todo lo que pasó en su ausencia a Arcadio.
Cap. 16
Adolfo le pide explicaciones a Arcadio, éste le dice que hizo todo lo posible por atender Azul, Lorenza le confiesa su nombre a ésta y le pide que guarden el secreto de lo que les pasó por dignidad, Azul le dice que Santiago la aceptará a pesar de todo. Adolfo le pide a Arcadio lo acompañe a la plaza para aclarar la supuesta muerte de Azul. Seferino le cuenta Santiago que su esposa murió, luego se va a la plaza y ahí Adolfo le pide que se vaya ya que no tiene el derecho por no haber defendido a Azul.
Cap. 17
Azul cree que hablan de ella cuando el doctor le dice a un campesino que una paciente perdió la matriz y que no podrá volver a tener hijos. Adolfo corre a Santiago de la plaza. El compadre de Nicanor llega al campamento en busca de ayuda del doctor y Lorenza lo reconoce, por lo que decide huir con Azul aunque ésta todavía no se recupere. Adolfo defiende el honor de Azul frente al pueblo en la plaza.
Cap. 18
Lorenza huye con Azul al reconocer al compadre de Nicanor en el campamento. Sixto anuncia en la plaza que Lozada será fusilado y Adolfo se molesta. Maclina intenta envenenar a María Clara haciéndole creer que los tés que le da son para mejorarle su estado de salud. Nicanor llega herido al campamento y se entera que Azul y Lorenza estuvieron ahí por los comentarios del ayudante del doctor. Mientras Azul llega a "La Arcadia" y Maclina le dice que su padre ya la enterró para tapar su deshonra.
Cap. 19
Azul llega a la hacienda y Maclina le dice que su padre la enterró para tapar su deshonra y ésta se desmaya, al poco rato llega su padre y le dice que no puede seguir ahí porque todos la creen muerta, ella le explica que ningún hombre la tocó por estar herida pero que por lo mismo ya no podrá darle nietos; sin embargo Justino le dice que su muerte la defiende de su impureza y que es preferible que siga muerta para todos.
Cap. 20
Justino se niega a aceptar a Azul y le pide que se vaya ya que no puede deshacer la mentira de su muerte y que eso es mucho mejor para ella, al fin decide irse y encuentra a Santiago en su tumba falsa, pero se esconde mientras sufre al escuchar las palabras del amor de su vida y pensando en que era lo mejor ya que cree que nunca podrá darle un hijo.
Cap. 21
Santiago descubre a Azul cerca de su tumba pero no se da cuenda de que es ella. Adolfo le confiesa a Arcadio que sus sentimientos hacia Santiago son confusos y este lo reconforta. Finalmente Azul se despide de su padre y sale de la hacienda. El doctor sospecha de Nicanor y le exige una explicación pero éste le miente, decide ir al jacal de donde lo trajeron, cayendo en la cuenta de que Azul y Lorenza fueron víctimas de él.
Cap. 22
El doctor descubre la verdad sobre Nicanor y cuando regresa al campamento éste ya no está. Azul le pide ayuda a Lorenza cuando la va a buscar, le explica lo que sucedió en "La Arcadia" y que ha renunciado a todo, hasta al amor de Santiago. Adolfo le confiesa a María Clara que corrió a su hijo Santiago públicamente en la plaza. Serafino decide recurrir a Don Adolfo para que le vuelva a dar trabajo, luego éste le dice a Justino que le darán una sepultura más digna a Azul por lo cual se alarma por temor de que se descubra la verdad.
Cap. 23
Adolfo le dice a Justino que le quiere dar una sepultura digna y éste le hace prometer que no la desenterrará. Azul decide irse a Guadalajara con Lorenza. Serafino le vuelve a pedir a Don Adolfo trabajo y éste se niega a dárselo en un principio pero luego termina por aceptarlo. Lorenza es descubierta por su nana al enterarse de que ésta visita a un hombre todas las noches, y ese hombre resulta ser Arcadio.
Cap. 24
Arcadio se la pasa bebiendo en la cantina, mientras su madre pasa el día en la cama y una de las sirvientas le dice que es por los brevajes que Maclina le prepara y le recomienda ya no tomárselos. Azul se desahoga con Matilde, el ama de llaves de Lorenza. El doctor que atendió a Azul se entera por Abundio, su ayudante en ese entonces en el campamento, que Nicanor abusó de ellas a la fuerza.
Cap. 25
Arcadio resulta ser el hombre al que visita Lorenza todas las noches. el doctor se entera, de que Nicanor abusó de Lorenza pensando en que era Azul por el anillo que le encontró con ese nombre. Fabián le pide trabajo a Justino pero éste se niega. María Clara se recupera de y deja de beber lo estés de Macrina gracias al consejo de Ubenza, pero luego ésta recibe amenazas de Macrina contra su bebé por haber aconsejado a la señora Clara. Justino le reclama a Arcadio algunos barriles faltantes en la bodega de la agaveña. El tío de Lorenza conoce a Azul a su llegada de Europa.
Cap. 26
La prima y el tío de Lorenza llegan de Europa y éste queda asombrado con la belleza de Azul quien se hace llamar soledad Compuzano. Justino le reclama a Arcadio la falta de respeto a la memoria de Azul ya que se da cuenta de que lleva otra mujer a su recámara por la noche. María Jacinta, prima de Lorenza, hace amistad con Azul y se disculpa por sus comentarios. Adolfo busca en la agaveña a Arcadio pero no lo encuentra porque éste se la pasa apostando en la cantina. La hermana de María Clara, Hilda llega de visita.
Cap. 27
Mariano, el tío de Lorenza resulta ser el padre de ésta y Matilde, su madre, por lo que él quiere darle todo lo que le negó en un principio. Adolfo habla con gran entusiasmo de Santiago con María Clara y ésta se da cuenta que lo comienza a ver sin desprecio. María Jacinta sufre un desmayo cuando pasaba con su padre y Azul. Justino se queja de Arcadio pero éste no le da importancia; por la noche lo busca en su habitación y esta con Lorenza, quien le pide no diga su nombre.
Cap. 28
Adolfo busca a Arcadio en su habitación cuando éste está con Lorena; ésta se esconde y Adolfo no se da cuenta pero le reclama que descuide la hacienda. Matilde le confiesa a Azul que Don Mariano también es padre de Lorenza pero que ni María Jacinta ni ella lo saben. Adolfo le dice a Arcadio que sólo le dejará la mitad de "La Arcadia" y éste se desquita con Lorenza, golpeándola, luego le reclama a Santiago, haciéndolo entrar en duda sobre su parentesco con su padre.

Arcadio le reclama a Santiago el que se este ganando más a Adolfo con su trabajo en la hacienda, luego habla con Justino y éste le dice que deberían buscar a Azul y perdonarla pero Arcadio se niega. Don Mariano usa sus galanterías con Azul y Matilde se da cuenta. El doctor que atendió a Azul en el campamento visita "La Arcadia" y le pregunta a Justino por Nicanor ya que éste abuso de una mujer y le hace creer que fue Azul.
Cap. 30
El doctor que atendió a Azul en el campamento, le hace creer a Justino que el tipo que busca, Nicanor, abusó de Azul, ya que éste piensa que es Lorenza y que puede estar embarazada; mientras Lorenza se siente mal y se lo atribuye al disgusto con Arcadio; Brigida lo sospecha, entonces Lorenza la envía por una comadrona para que le confirme su sospecha.
Cap. 31
Ubenza le confirma su sospecha de embarazo a Lorenza. El doctor busca en la cantina a Nicanor y se entera por el cantinero que Azul murió, pero no termina por creerlo sino por entender que una mentira. Matilde le confiesa a Azul que es la madre de Lorenza, mientras ésta cae en la cuenta de que su hijo es producto del abuso que sufrió por parte de Nicanor.

Lorenza se da cuenta de que su hijo es producto del abuso que sufrió por parte de Nicanor. El doctor vuelve a visitar a Justino para reclamarle su mentira sobre la muerte de Azul y lo amenaza con decir la verdad sino le dice dónde está ella, y termina por enterarse que Justino es su padre. Lorenza está decidida a deshacerse del hijo que espera, mientras tanto Azul sale a buscar trabajo sin obtener respuesta. Hilda descubre que Macrina está enamorada de Adolfo.
Cap. 33
Mariano sorprende a Lorenza hablando con Brigida de Arcadio y le pregunta quién es, ella le responde inventándole que la salvó de que su caballo se desbocará. Justino le pide al doctor Demetrio que guarde el secreto de Azul, él no le asegura nada, diciéndole que callará hasta encontrarla. Mariano interroga a Brigida y logra hacerla confesar que hay un hombre llamado Arcadio, luego en una discusión casi le dice la verdad de Matilde. Arcadio sigue robando barriles de tequila de la hacienda para venderlos. Adolfo sorprende a Arcadio apostando con su dinero.
Cap. 34
Arcadio pierde jugando cartas con el doctor Demetrio, e intenta apostarle la agaveña para una revancha, cuando llega Adolfo y lo abofetea. Azul le revela parte de la verdad a Matilde. Seferino lleva a Santiago con un brujo a realizar el ritual del agave. Azul consigue trabajo con un restaurantero. Lorenza va con Ubenza para deshacerse de su hijo pero ésta se niega, lo que enfurece a Lorenza. Justino sigue emborrachándose noche a noche por la pena de su hija.

María Jacinta le dice a su padre que Lorenza visita a Arcadio por lo que éste dice que les hará una visita a los Berriosaval para aclararlo. El "chamuco" le dice a Sebastián que la noche del intento de incendio, le pareció ver a Arcadio. Azul le cuenta a Matilde lo de su herida y que fue Arcadio quien disparó. Justino le reclama a éste por los barriles faltantes y lo amenaza con decir lo de Azul. Mariano llega a la hacienda confundiendo a Santiago con Arcadio.

María Jacinta descubre el anillo de Azul que Lorenza guardaba. Mariano confunde a Santiago con Arcadio y le reclama sobre sus intenciones con su sobrina. Lorenza piensa irse a Guadalajara para deshacerse de su hijo. Demetrio se encuentra con Arcadio y le dice que tiene pruebas de que Azul no está muerta, reclamándole la mentira de él y de Justino por lo que se enfrentan a golpes, Don Sixto llega y para la pelea. María Jacinta descubre quien es Arcadio. Azul sufre el acoso del jefe del restaurante donde consiguió trabajo.

Mariano se da cuenta de la ausencia de Lorenza y María Jacinta lo corrige en su idea de que se fue con Arcadio, ya que ella lo vio con otra mujer. Adolfo busca a Arcadio en la cantina y le dicen que se fue con la gitana Lásara. Hilda le miente a su hermana y a Adolfo diciéndoles que su esposo le dejó un testamento a favor de ella. Mariano intenta reclamarle por Lorenza y éste lo niega todo, mientras ésta le reclama a Azul por contarle a Matilde sobre su secreto: Fabián le dice a Adolfo que hay un faltante en la bodega.

Fabián le dice a Adolfo que hay un faltante en la bodega, pero Justino alardea de que fue un error del joven. Lorenza le recrimina a Azul que Matilde sepa la verdad y ésta le aclara que sólo habló de ella. Justino abofetea a Fabián por su indiscreción, poco después Arcadio le reclama al propio Justino, el que le haya dicho la verdad a Demetrio. Lorenza le dice a Azul que su padre se negó. Siquiera a recibirla y que no pudo aclararle lo de su pureza, luego ésta le pregunta si conoció a Arcadio.
Cap. 40
Azul le pregunta a Lorenza si conoció a Arcadio en Tequila, ella lo niega. Arcadio le reclama a Santiago el que haga su tequila en honor a Azul y termina por confesarle que él intentó incendiar su tanque de fermentación la otra noche lo cual provoca que comiencen a golpearse, pronto llega Adolfo a separarlos y reprende a Santiago nada más, culpándolo de romper el alambique de la taberna donde destilaban el tequila. Azul pierde su empleo. Lorenza encuentra una yerbera que le ofrece acabar con su problema.
Cap. 41
Lorenza encuentra una yerbera que le ofrece un remedio para terminar con su estado. Azul le cuenta a Matilde que el disparo que le dio Arcadio la dejó estéril. Santiago trata de arreglar el alambique que su hermano rompió durante la pelea, entre tanto éste y Jacinto regresaron los barriles faltantes por la noche para que Adolfo no notara el faltante al hacer el conteo. Azul le dice a Lorenza que piensa regresar a "Tequila" a reclamar lo que le pertenece. Santiago visita a Mariano y conoce a María Jacinta.
Cap. 42
Santiago visita la casa de Mariano y conoce a Maria Jacinta, quien queda fascinada. Arcadio le advierte a Fabián que él es el que toma las decisiones. Lorenza evita que Azul regrese a "Tequila" porque Santiago ya tiene a otra mujer. Mariano le dice a Santiago, que conoce a un mecánico, pero que está en Guadalajara y lo invita a irse con él. Lorenza regresa con la yerbera del mercado y ésta la lleva con una comadre que la hará abortar.

Lorenza va con una mujer para que la haga abortar, se siente mal y es abandonada en el campo, mientras Azul sale en su búsqueda. Santiago sale a Guadalajara con Mariano y le platica sobre su amor por Azul, luego él le habla de Soledad sin saber que son la misma persona. Ubenza le cuenta a Seferino que Lorenza le pidió ayuda para deshacerse de su hijo; entre tanto ella es llevada por la yerbera al campamento donde está el doctor Galarza, el mismo que atendió a Azul.
Cap. 44
Lorenza llega enferma al campamento del doctor Galarza con síntomas de envenenamiento y la reconoce. Azul le miente a Matilde sobre el paradero de Lorenza para no preocuparla. Mariano llega a Guadalajara con Santiago, pero éste se va de compras al pueblo. Azul y Matilde le ocultan a Mariano que Lorenza no está; entre tanto ella recibe la noticia de Demetrio, de que su hijo está bien por lo que se enfurece pero termina dormida por el agotamiento. Luego Demetrio se entera que el verdadero nombre de Azul es Lorenza San Martín.
Cap. 45
Demetrio le reclama a Lorenza por su mentira. Santiago llega a buscar a Mariano sin encontrarlo por lo que decide irlo a buscar al restaurante a donde acompañó a Azul, quien decidió regresar a trabajar ahí a pesar del acoso de su jefe, ya ahí decide preparar una receta especial para Mariano y Santiago reconoce el platillo, lo que provoca que quiera conocer a la tan mencionada Soledad. Lorenza le explica a Demetrio el por qué no quiere tener a su

Santiago se entera por María Clara que Azul nunca podrá darle un hijo debido a la tragedia de su rapto, aun con ello, él le dice a su madre que no renunciará a su amor por ella. Azul se entera de que Justino mandó a Mariano para llevársela. Santiago le confiesa a Adolfo que Azul quedó estéril por culpa de Arcadio, por la noche éste le encarga a Fabián que saque todas las colas y cabezas de agave que sobraron en la taberna. Santiago llega a pelear con Arcadio reclamándole por lo de Azul, luego encuentra a ésta y le dice que sabe la verdad. Azul rechaza a Santiago al enterarse que éste ya sabe sobre su problema, al regresar a su casa se encuentra a Arcadio quien trata de humillarla pero ésta le responde con una bofetada, al día siguiente se encuentra con Mariano y se despide de él también, pero éste la convence de regresar a su casa. Santiago dolido por la negativa de Azul le dice a su padre que no quiere saber nada más de ella, pero éste le cuenta que Justino le confesó que realmente hay algo entre ella y Mariano; por la tarde la sigue al salir de la hacienda y la ve con él.
26 nov.
Santiago ve a Azul con Mariano y se siente traicionado, cuando éstos llegan a su casa no son bien recibidos por Lorenza. Justino piensa vengarse por la humillación de Adolfo. Arcadio amenaza con una pistola a Fabián por no haberle ayudado a robar los desechos del alambique para sus negocios turbios, mientras su padre ve todo pero escondido, luego él mismo le ofrece su ayuda a cambio de hacerlo su socio. Santiago va a ver a María Jacinta y le pide matrimonio, ella no acepta diciéndole que sólo lo hizo porque Azul lo rechazó. Ramón se molesta al saber que Justino en su nuevo socio en la taberna clandestina. Santiago le dice a María Jacinta que lo piense y de aceptar la espera en "Tequila". Lorenza va al pueblo a tratar de encontrarse con Arcadio, pero él la ignora y quien la sorprende con su presencia es Demetrio.
27 nov.
Lorenza se encuentra con Demetrio en el pueblo y él le reclama su actitud para llamar la atención de Arcadio y que lo quiera engañar con el hijo que espera, luego termina robándole un beso. Mientras Arcadio sólo se queda observando. Azul pasa todo el día con Mariano; al terminar de preparar la cena se dan un largo beso y Lorenza entra burlándose irónicamente de los dos. María Jacinta sigue indecisa con respecto a la proposición de Santiago; pero finalmente llega a "Tequila" aceptando y Santiago le agradece el haber venido, mientras tanto Azul lo recuerda tristemente. Demetrio le exige a Arcadio le diga sus pretensiones con Lorenza, éste sólo la insulta, lo que provoca que Demetrio lo golpee pero llega Ramón, quien lo ayuda a devolverle los golpes, después busca a Lorenza en su casa y ésta no lo recibe. Mariano le confiesa su amor a Azul y le pide una oportunidad. Santiago presenta a María Jacinta como su prometida a sus padres.
28 nov.
María Jacinta es presentada por Santiago ante sus padres, como su prometida, al llegar Arcadio se sorprende por la noticia, luego a solas con su padre, éste trata de convencerlo de que dicha boda es un absurdo. María Jacinta le confiesa su amor por Santiago a María Clara; mientras Mariano le dice lo mismo a Fabián. Después la futura novia le da la noticia a Lorenza, luego llegan Azul y Mariano, cuando escucha la noticia , Azul se queda paralizada. María Jacinta y Santiago llegan a casa de Mariano a darle la noticia de su boda, al enterarse Azul le duele y sale corriendo a su habitación. Ramón le pide a Abundio que venda el tequila clandestino como si fuera Berriosaval, pero sin que Arcadio se entere. Mariano le dice a Santiago que no permitirá que se case con su hija sólo por vengarse de Azul, cuando estos hablan a solas, Mariano le pide que no tome tal decisión por la incomodidad que traerá el parentesco. Luego Azul llora mientras ve a su gran amor besando a otra. Arcadio le dice a Lorenza que acepta casarse con ella, pero sólo por ganar la herencia de su padre.
29 nov.
Lorenza le propone matrimonio a Arcadio, éste acepta con tal de ganar la herencia de Adolfo con su primer nieto. Azul le anuncia su partida a Mariano ya que no tiene las fuerzas suficientes para ver como se casa Santiago, éste la convence de que se quede en Guadalajara con Matilde. Arcadio le dice a Lorenza que también se casarán en el domingo próximo. Adolfo le cuenta a María Clara que quien se case primero recibirá la gaveña como regalo de bodas. Lorenza le dice a su padre que se casará con Arcadio y este se enfurece. Mariano se enfurece al saber de la boda de Lorenza y Arcadio pero se desilusiona cuando ella le confiesa que espera un hijo de él. Santiago le pregunta a Fabián a dónde se fue Azul, el sólo le dice que está en Guadalajara. Adolfo le dice al futuro padre de sus nietos que tendrá la gaveña como regalo de bodas y éste le dice que no la puede aceptar, luego al hablar con su madre le confiesa que duda que Azul haya sido amante de Mariano ya que se fue sola a Guadalajara. Mariano va a reclamarle a Arcadio y a amenazarlo, por lo que llega tarde a la reunión donde pedirán a su hija, ahí aparece Arcadio anunciándoles su boda con Lorenza.
Cap. 101
Arcadio anuncia su boda con Lorenza, en la reunión para pedir la mano de María Jacinta, Adolfo se sorprende igual que María Clara. Azul se siente un poco mal y Matilde lleva a Demetrio, quien se asombra al encontrarla, cuando platicaba con él sobre lo que pasó en el campamento Matilde escucha todo y le reclama a Azul no habérselo dicho. María Clara le dice a Arcadio que sabe del embarazo de Lorenza y se lo reprocha . Demetrio le confiesa a Azul la confusión que hubo sobre su problema diciéndole que ella no es estéril.
Cap. 102
Demetrio le dice a Azul que ella no es estéril. Lorenza le dice a Mariano que no invitará a Matilde y éste se lo recrimina. Demetrio le aconseja a Azul que busque a Santiago para aclararle el mal entendido, pero ella se convence de que le arruinará su boda a Maria Jacinta, pero Matilde la convence de ir con ella a "Tequila" en la próxima diligencia, pero al llegar a la parada les dicen que no hay ningún viaje hasta en la noche por lo que envían un telegrama a Mariano, pero éste lo ignora al ver la felicidad de su hija.
Cap. 103
Mariano entrega a sus dos hijas en la iglesia mientras Azul está a punto de llegar, la misa está a punto de concluir cuando entra corriendo al altar, al estar ahí se detiene sin decir nada y sale corriendo del mismo modo lo que provoca que una carreta la arroye, Santiago va a verla dejando a María Jacinta sola fuera de la Iglesia, María Clara lo convence de ir a su lado pero Matilde se lo topa y éste le pregunta el motivo por el que Azul llego de esa manera, ella sólo le dice que llegó demasiado tarde. María Clara decide llevarse a Azul a "La Concordia", cuando María Jacinta se entera amenaza con regresar a su casa si ella pone un pie en la hacienda.
Cap. 104
María Jacinta amenaza a Santiago con irse a la casa de su padre si Azul entra en la hacienda. Lorenza le hace un desprecio a Matilde frente a Arcadio. Azul es llevada a "La concordia" y María Clara la conforta mientras le confiesa que no es estéril, luego es visitada por María Jacinta quien le reclama y le echa en cara su matrimonio, Azul se defiende diciéndole la verdad pero esta le responde que no permitirá que le robe a Santiago; quien en plena fiesta de su boda, entra en su habitación y le recrimina su actitud, ella está a punto de decirle la verdad.
Cap. 105
Azul está a punto de decirle la verdad a Santiago, pero María Clara los interrumpe, cuando las dos se quedan solas deciden que Santiago no debe saber que no es estéril; luego le dice a Fabián que ella también debe comenzar una nueva vida y mientras Azul sufre por su desdicha, los novios festejan bailando su primer vals. Mariano entra a ver a Azul y ésta le dice que pondrá todo de su parte para corresponderle. Matilde le dice a Lorenza que sabe la verdad sobre el rapto. Al terminar la fiesta, María Jacinta y Santiago pasan la noche juntos, mientras Arcadio se queda dormido por la borrachera.
Cap. 106
Cuando Maria Jacinta está a punto de entregarse a Santiago, éste la llama Azul, ella se enfurece pidiéndole que se vaya, se va al campo imaginando a su verdadero amor y pasa toda la noche ahí. Demetrio se desilusiona al saber que Lorenza se casó con Arcadio. Matilde le reclama a su hija el haberle ocultado la verdad a Azul. Santiago le dice a esta que guarda la esperanza de que terminaran juntos. María Jacinta le pide a María Clara que le pida a Azul que se marche. Arcadio le advierte a Lorenza que él seguirá con su vida como antes. Mariano le anuncia a María Clara y a Santiago que se casará con Azul.
Cap. 107
Azul y Mariano le dice a Maria Clara y Santiago, que están comprometidos, Santiago le pide una explicación a Mariano y éste le responde que Azul aceptó su propuesta de matrimonio. Demetrio se instala en "Tequila". Azul le reclama a Lorenza por haberse callado el que ella no era estéril. Arcadio sigue con sus negocios turbios en la taberna clandestina. Santiago se encuentra con Demetrio en la plaza y le confiesa la verdad sobre Azul.
Cap. 108
Santiago se entera por Demetrio que Azul no es estéril y se enfurece, mientras esta le dice a Mariano que Lorenza se calló la verdad y él recuerda cuando no dijo nada del telegrama que envió antes de la boda. Santiago le dice a Demetrio que irá a buscar a Azul, cuando lo hace Lorenza ve su caballo fuera de la hacienda y al llegar a "La Concordia" se lo dice a María Jacinta, quien se enoja y le reclama, cuando éste llega, lo que no sabe es que el se arrepintió y decidió regresar a su lado por lo cual lo corre de nuevo. Al día siguiente busca a Azul y ella lo rechaza, pero termina por llevarse la carreta donde pensaba viajar con Mariano.
Cap. 109
Santiago busca a Azul diciéndole que sabe la verdad, por su rechazo toma las riendas de la carreta de Mariano y se la lleva, cuando están solos ella le dice que su amor es imposible a lo que Santiago le responde que no renunciará a el, Mariano se enfurece al enterarse mientras Matilde lo tranquiliza. Cuando Azul llega, Mariano le recrimina su actitud. Santiago regresa con María Jacinta y le asegura que no volverá a ver a Azul más, mientras ésta le dice lo mismo a Mariano. Lorenza le reclama a Demetrio por haberle dicho la verdad a Matilde. Mariano llega en busca de Santiago.
Cap. 110
Mariano busca a Santiago para reclamarle su actitud y a amenazarlo para que haga feliz a su hija. Maria Jacinta decide irse de La Concordia, esperando que Santiago vaya a buscarla. Mariano le dice a Adolfo que se llevará a Azul a México. Ubenza le confiesa a Lorenza que Doña Maria Clara ya sabe de su embarazo. "El Chamuco" le dice a Santiago que sospecha que alguien se mete a la taberna. Abundio vende el tequila falso haciéndolo pasar por Berriosaval. Una tormenta sorprende el viaje de Mariano y Azul por lo que se refugian en un viejo establo.
9 DIC.
Mariano y Azul tienen que pasar la noche en un viejo establo por la lluvia, ahí son sorprendidos por el dueño. María Clara se entera que Lorenza trató de comprar el silencio de Ubenza. Fabián visita a Lazara y se desilusiona cuando ella le pregunta si trae dinero para pagarle por sus "servicios". Adolfo le dice a Arcadio que Santiago es el dueño del potrero de la barranca. Lorenza busca a Demetrio y Ramón la sorprende. Lorenzo busca a Demetrio y Ramón los encuentra. Macrina se entera gracias al campesino que manda a seguirla, luego trata de decirle a Arcadio, pero éste no le cree, cuando Lorenza llega éste la interroga con malos modos acusándola y amenazándola para que se comporte. Abundio sigue vendiendo su tequila adulterado como Berriosaval, por casualidad llega donde Mariano y Azul comen, y éste se enfurece al probarlo. Santiago busca a María Jacinta y ella se niega a recibirlo. Lorenza le asegura a su madre que sólo fue al pueblo.
10 DIC.
Nicanor y su compadre piensan regresar a "La Concordia". Mariano piensa en llevar a Azul a visitar a su amiga Catalina, una condesa con la que tuvo algo que ver hace tiempo. Don Sixto galantea a Matilde. Fabián interroga a su padre al ver que contaba mucho dinero en su casa, producto del tequila adulterado con el que hace negocio, este le dice que son sus ahorros, pero por la noche Fabián descubre la taberna clandestina y ve cuando se llevaba el tequila robado, se lo recrimina pero este no le hace caso. Nicanor y su compadre piensan regresar a la "La Concordia" a robar la virgen de oro que está en la capilla. Hilda se refugia en casa de Catalina, luego llegan Azul y Mariano y ésta la recibe amablemente. Lorenza vuelve a visitar a Demetrio, Ramón se da cuenta, enseguida de lo va a decir a Arcadio, éste sale a buscarla justo cuando ella está en la cama con el doctor.
11 DIC.
Lorenza busca de nuevo a Demetrio y en ese momento llega Arcadio, ella logra escapar por la ventana y éste amenaza al doctor con una pistola pero Sixto lo detiene. Santiago le pide otra oportunidad a María Jacinta. Lorenza llega con Matilde en donde Arcadio la alcanza acusándola de haber estado con Demetrio, Matilde lo abofetea y lo corre de su casa. Hilda visita a Catalina y descubre a Azul mientras Mariano la presenta como su prometida. Mariano presenta a Azul a Hilda como su prometida en casa de Catalina. Arcadio no termina de creerle a Lorenza que no estuvo en el consultorio de Demetrio, amenazándola de que si su hijo no tiene el lunar Berriosaval lo matará igual que a ella. El "Chamuco" le dice a Santiago que alguien se está robando los desechos del alambique, éste se lo comenta a Fabián quien pone sobre aviso a Justino. María Jacinta logra acercar a Santiago y Don Adolfo. Matilde habla con Demetrio pidiéndole que respete a Lorenza. Macrina descubre el anillo de Azul en la habitación de ésta.
12 DIC.
Macrina interroga a Lorenza sobre el anillo de Azul, luego se lo dice a Arcadio quien entra en duda de ella. Adolfo le pide a éste que vaya a la ceremonia que harán para la jima del potrero de la loma y sólo le recrimina a su padre el que nunca hizo nada semejante por él. Nicanor y su cómplice llegan a la hacienda cuando todos estaban en la procesión, atacan a Macrina y luego descubren a Lorenza. Nicanor vuelve a la hacienda el día de la procesión, golpea a Macrina para saber el paradero de la virgen de oro, luego enfurecido sube a las recámaras en busca de qué robar y encuentra a Lorenza, luego enfrente de Macrina hablan del rapto anterior, en eso llega Matilde, Nicanor la besa a la fuerza pero en ese momento los demás empleados se dan cuenta y los bandidos escapan, después Matilde consuela a su hija y ella le confiesa que ese bandido es el padre del hijo que espera.
13 DIC.
Macrina ya sabe el secreto de Lorenza y piensa decírselo a Arcadio. Demetrio llega a atender a Lorenza y le promete protección, cuando Matilde lo comenta con Macrina ésta le dice que todo el pueblo sabrá la suerte que tuvo su hija al lado de Nicanor, cuando Adolfo llega lo intenta, pero Matilde no la deja hablar. Lorenza le confiesa su amor a Demetrio y éste se siente desesperado al saber que ella está casada, cuando sale de la habitación le da la noticia a Adolfo quien se pone felíz. Demetrio le da la noticia de que Lorenza está embarazada a Adolfo. Justino le dice a Arcadio que su padre intenta poner un vigilante en la taberna pero éste sólo piensa en que tiene que deshacerse de Santiago para recuperar a su padre. Mariano le pide matrimonio a Azul en la capital. Macrina intenta decirle la verdad a Arcadio sobre Lorenza pero éste la interrumpe diciéndole que está harto de sus enredos. Adolfo le da la noticia a María Clara y ella le pide que divida los bienes de su herencia entre sus dos hijos. Santiago trata de felicitar a Arcadio paro con sus comentarios provoca que lo golpee.
Cap. 121-122
Macrina presiona a Azul para casarse y ella acepta disponiendo que la boda será en una semana. María Jacinta trata de convencer a Santiago de que reclame una parte de la herencia pero éste se niega y le dice que eso no le importa. Adolfo le pide a Sixto que le avise cuando atrape a los bandidos que entraron a su casa para interrogarlos en persona. Catalina le regala un libro de poesía a Azul, pero no sabe que Hilda le puso una fotografía de Mariano con ella, cuando Azul lo recibe y lo abre le reclama a él la mentira que le dijo, mientras Santiago y María Jacinta consuman su matrimonio. Mientras Azul se lamenta por la mentira de Mariano, recuerda a Santiago, éste trata de hacer suya a María Jacinta, pero el recuerdo de Azul se lo impide, Santiago se disculpa con ella y al día siguiente le dice que tienen que distanciarse para poder superarlo y que piensa hacer un largo viaje, luego le dice a Adolfo que irá a ver al ministro de Francia a la Ciudad de México para vender su tequila fuera del país. El hijo del restaurantero, al que alguna vez Mariano le advirtió sobre el tequila adulterado, muere a causa del mismo, por lo que jura encontrar a quien lo fabrica.
Cap. 123-124
Un restaurantero que compró tequila adulterado lleva a su hijo con Demetrio pero cuando ya era demasiado tarde, el doctor le pregunta lo que pasó y Eustaquio le dice que quién se lo vendió le dijo que era tequila Berriosaval y que no parará hasta encontrar al responsable. Mariano le da un anillo de compromiso a Azul, pero ella no se alegra en lo más mínimo. Fabián le pide a Adolfo que le de el trabajo de velador en la taberna. Santiago llega a México y se encuentra con Mariano.
Cap. 125-126
Catalina visita al ministro y lo presenta con Santiago quien la mira agradecido. Arcadio planea convencer con una trampa a Don Avelino Palacios, amigo de su padre, para que le venda su hacienda para lo cual utilizará a Lazara haciéndola pasar por su esposa. Catalina invita a comer a Santiago, platicando éste le confiesa su amor por Azul. La policía descubre a Román en la taberna clandestina. Mariano y Azul llegan al mismo restaurante que Catalina y Santiago pero él es el único que los ve. Mariano llega con Azul al restaurante donde estaba Catalina y Santiago y se la lleva del lugar. Arcadio trata de convencer a Don Avelino de venderle sus tierras que colindan con "La Concordia" pero este se niega. Adolfo va a ver a Eustaquio para pedirle una explicación por lo de la demanda en su contra, cuando ve los barriles Adolfo acepta que fue fabricado para él, pero el contenido no es de su taberna. Ramón se escapa de los gendarmes gracias a que les ofreció el anillo de Azul, luego le pide ayuda a Lorenza y ésta se niega a dársela por lo que busca a Justino, en ese instante llega Sixto pidiendo hablar con él.
Cap. 127-128
Ramón busca a Justino le pide el dinero de las ganancias de su negocio de no dárselo, dirá que él y Arcadio también estuvieron involucrados. Sixto busca a Adolfo pero éste no estaba y María Clara se entera de todo. Fabián corre a la hacienda para tratar de entretener a Don Sixto y su padre pueda destruir los barriles que lo incriminan. Lorenza busca de nuevo a Demetrio quien la desprecia y la despide del consultorio. Santiago le hace una visita a Catalina, ella un poco bebida le da un beso y en ese momento Azul los ve. Fabián se adelanta a avisarle a Justino que Don Adolfo y Sixto van hacia allá. Catalina le da un beso a Santiago y en ese momento Azul los descubre trata de obtener una explicación cuando llega Mariano. Fabián se hecha la culpa de todo frente a Sixto y Don Adolfo mientras Justino se esconde. Lazara trata de seducir a Don Avelino para que acepte el trato con Arcadio de venderle sus tierras. Mariano le recrimina su visita a Santiago quien le dice a Azul que la sigue amando, ello lo rechaza, motivo que no le importa para retar a Mariano. Adolfo cuestiona a Justino y éste le confiesa que fue Arcadio el que lo traicionó. Azul y Mariano están a punto de casarse y Santiago piensa impedirlo.
Cap. 129-130
Justo antes de su boda, Mariano le pide a Azul que le diga sí él le inspira algo más que cariño y si está dispuesta a aceptarlo como hombre, ella lo rechaza y Mariano le dice que entonces no pueden casarse. Adolfo le dice a Justino que él mismo pagará por la falta que hizo y que la vida que lleva fue la que el quizo llevar. María Jacinta comienza a enloquecer por el desprecio de Santiago. Mariano le dice a Catalina que irá a Tequila por un mal presentimiento pero Azul se hospedará en otro lugar. Santiago busca a Azul, ésta le besa y Catalina entra acusándola de que planea escapar con él. Santiago besa a Azul cuando entra Catalina y la acusa de traicionar a Mariano. María Jacinta sigue en su ataque de locura por lo que Lorenza manda traer a Demetrio y quedan de verse después. Lazara le dice la verdad a Don Avelino. Catalina e Hilda van en busca de Santiago y encuentran a Azul en la habitación. Arcadio es golpeado por Adolfo por lo que le hizo, María Clara llega y lo detiene. Mariano llega a ver a María Jacinta. Azul le inventa a Santiago que se entregó a Mariano desde hace tiempo.
