Translation of ESMAS summary
Fuego en la Sangre (Fire in the Blood) is the story of three brothers, Juan, Oscar and Franco Reyes who, before the tomb of their sister Libya, swear to take revenge for her death. Libya died in strange circumstances, after being seduced by Bernardo Elizondo. In order to fulfill their oath, they go to the property of Elizondo in order to take revenge; but instead after an unexpected confrontation with Don Agustin Acevedo, the father-in-law of Bernardo they are obliged to build a house inside the Elizondo family properties.
With the purpose of investigating the person who caused the death of Libya, they began to work on the house (taking the place of the real workers) and soon they meet the three daughters of Bernardo Elizondo: Sofia, Sarita and Jimena as well as the conservative Gabriela Acevedo, his former wife.
This encounter changes the course of the brothers' revenge. They decide that instead of committing a crime that harms them in the end, they are better off to seduce the sisters and soon they will leave them so that they live in their own misery because of Libya's suffering. The brother Juan will seduce Sofia, Oscar will seduce Jimena and Franco will seduce Sarita.
But destiny plays with the continuous treatment, and the brothers will discover different facets from the girls who will enchant them. Juan will find in Sofia a sensible woman and charitable, whose life has denied her the possibility of being happy because of a trauma and of a marriage forced with Fernando Escandon whom does not love, Juan and Sofia will have very strong confrontations that will cause them both to be lost in love with one another. But Fernando not ready to sickly loses his wife who…
Oscar will find in Jimena, his other half, an eloquent girl disinherited and with desire to live life that corresponds to a girl of his age. They will establish a full relation of sensuality, eroticism. Irremediably they will fall in love with each other.
Franco and Sarita who discover that they are one for the another, sensible, loving souls of the reading and owners of a naivete that will take them to live a very tender, full of unforeseen expenses and mix-ups because of Rosario Montes, a singer who maintained a strange relation with Franco years ago. Franco will have to decide between both relationships, situation that picks problems with Sarita and, also, from Fernando, who has keeping Rosario working for him due to a mystery situation from her past.
Also on the subplots the viewer will keep track of Eva, a housemaid of the Elizondo family who has been a former lover of Don Bernardo and keeps an uncomfortable secret. Don Agustin, the grandparent of the Elizondo children who is in a wheelchair and always keep plotting against Gabriela (but leading to clumsy situations) and the Padre Tadeo, the priest of the town who begins to know very scary secrets from the past.
They will pass many situations, many confrontations, encounter and mix-ups so painful that the Reyes must chose to free themselves of the oath that they made to Libya and be with the women whom they love in spite of everything. Fire in the Blood, is a story where all the human feelings, noblest and most perverse, will be surrounded in eddies of passions.

Juan discovers that his sister Libia is
pregnant and does not trust in Bernardo since he believes that he is
married.Libia gives the news to Bernardo that she is having his child and he
goes away happy.
Fernando blackmails Bernardo in not saying
anything in exchange that he pays his debts of game.Bernardo and Fernando
struggle mounted in his horses. Bernardo falls down of the horse hiting a stone
and dies.
Fernando drag his body to the road side
Nabor, drunk, knocks down the dead body of
Bernardo, Fernando blames him of killing Bernardo.Sofia complains wishing she
was dead before being violated.
Libia finds out through newspaper that
Bernardo is dead, And she a faint.Gabriela, surprised, see Libia embraceding to

I switched over to "Medium" at
the hour; I know the last couple minutes will be repeated tomorrow, but I'm
curious what happened after the boys brought Juan into the barn to let him rest
up on the hay bales. Sofía was on her way, and that looked like a good excuse
for something. (Hay is notorious -- "roll in the hay," etc.)
Also, it seems like they have positioned
Juan and Sofía to find poor, dead Bernardo's horse -- all whipped to shreds by
that scum bucket, Fernando. (He has issues with a horse. I need a rolleye
emoticon here.)
It seems like Sofía would be very upset by
that -- first that someone would hurt the animal, and second that he belonged
to her dad. Juan already gave Sofía the hairy eyeball, registering her good
deeds at organizing the charity event. His revenge campaign is going to take a
hit if he sees she's a soft-hearted thing, too.

Well Sofia went to see him, he closed his eyes and she sat
next to himand she touches his lips, he woke up and grabbed her hand. He asked
her what she was doing there, and she said that she saw what he did and was
just worried and wanted to know if he was ok.
He said, "Do you really care"?
then Fernando showed up to ruin the moment! He asked Sofi for an explanation
and Fer said that her place was with her husband and to let the servants take
care of it.
Juan had this "You just kicked
trampled over my heart look" and then the credits rolled.

I've been offline for over a day now ...
thank you Comcast---NOT!!! (who claims I have a signal but my modem tells me
otherwise) I may lose my signal any minute now .... must type fast. Gosh, the
telenovela forum withdrawals were pretty bad yesterday, but I got a lot done
around the house! ;o)
LAST NIGHT --- Does that village even have
a health department??? The scene where Pablito walks in with the dog, and Juan
has him start kneading the dough? The kid did not wash his hands. Eeeeew! Hope
the health inspector wasn't going to stop by...
When Juan put the bread in to bake, it
sounded like it was..... frying! That drove me crazy.
When Gabi had the last of last night's
"fits" and it looked like they all had her in a clampdown lock on the
bed. I was literally ROFLOL.
WARDROBE DEPT. MALFUNCTION --- Who else
noticed that the very first scene of Wednesday night's episode, Quintina had on
a real bomber cap with real fur when she got into the truck. Every scene after
that, it was the other hat with some sort of fake pile stuff.
WEDNESDAY'S episode --- I loved that scene
where Sarita and Franco are arguing in the courtyard, and he tells her Rosario
has left town. Sarita does the flip-her-hair-over-her-shoulder thing and walks
off in a huff. The expression on Franco's face when he takes off after her was
priceless!
I liked the scene at the end of Wed's
capitulo, with the three sisters up on the balcony looking down on the 3 bros.,
who were mooning up at the sisters with their sad, lost puppy dog faces. It was
sort of like boys camp and girls camp..... I can see you but can't come over to
play. Very sweet and corny. Call me cursi. LOL

So I am not completely crazy -- at least
not alone, LOL. You were laughing at that lockdown scene, too! :-) They must
have had a ball with that one.
Those frying sound effects were weird. I
actually couldn't tell if they were sound effects, or if the props department
had put some kind of burner unit in that fake oven so that the bread would fry.
The rolls he put in there were oiled up quite generously.
When Quintana came out of the bakery in
that WWI Ace flyer outfit, I thought she must be burning up. It's probably 100
degrees in the sun there where the set is (not where the actual village is),
and I figured Patricia Reyes Spíndola wanted to get out of that gear.
When Sara stalks off, I thought sure they
were going to have a few more words in another scene, the way Franco ran after
her. And I hadn't thought about the camp scene, and it does kind of remind me
of "The Parent Trap" or "Courtship of Eddie's Father."
Sweet and corny is nice sometimes.

I thought the same thing about the little
boy kneading the dough. In fact, the bread at the Hermanos Brothers Bakery
takes a lot of abuse regularly. How many times has the bread slid off the tray,
to be picked up, I imagine, and thrown into a basket. And who works with the
bread -- it seems to vary from day to day. No skill required, apparently.
Kneading the dough does give Juan a chance to take off his shirt!
I'm beginning to think that Franco and
Oscar are intellectual heavy-weights compared to our Juan, who is lovable in
many other ways. He does lack sense on many scores, however.

reflexione con respecto a su boda con Fernando pues éste sólo quiere su dinero,
pero Gabriela la insulta y le vuelve a decir que no es su hija.
Sofía le pide a Juan que le muestre una
fotografía de sus papás, él le dice que le enseñará la única que tiene y abre
el baúl donde guarda sus recuerdos.
Juan se encuentra una carta, llegan los
Reyes y la empiezan a leer, se dan cuenta que tienen un tío.

Juan y Sofía deciden llevarle unas flores a
la virgen, el padre Tadeo los recibe con una felicitación y la bendición por su
eterno amor, para sorpresa de ellos, el Padre les da la noticia de que Gabriela
quiere hacer una nueva fundación que llevará por nombre Bernardo Elizondo.
Rosario encuentra a Sarita para contarle
que el amor que sentía por Franco se ha terminado, por lo que le pide que lo
busque.
Pedro Reyes rechaza la oferta que le have
Fernando para cantar en el bar que está por adquirir, sin saber que dicha
adquisición será anulada por la noticia de que Ricardo Uribe ha regresado.
Agustín le aconseja a Gabriela que no se

El 'Coyote' rescata a Pedro y Franco de una
riña, advirtiendo a los tipos que no se metan con los Reyes y menos con Pedro;
éste suceso se vuelve muy extraño y ahora los hermanos Reyes no saben por qué
el 'Coyote' los está cuidando.
Fernando recibe al 'Coyote' en la hacienda
y le advierte sobre el trato a los Reyes.
Fernando visita a Rosario, atrapándola
mientras empaca para irse de la casa, causando el enfado de Fernando, sin saber
que Rosario le advierte que lo demandará si le have daño y con la amenaza de
difundir la noticia de que el hijo que tiene es de él.
Agustín se encuentra con Oscar y se
aventuran al despacho de Fernando para buscar algo que lo pueda delatar, dando
sin querer con un papel escrito por Bernardo Elizondo, el cual sorprenderá a
todos.
Fernando se da cuenta de que sus cajones
fueron revisados y se entera que el papel escrito por Bernardo Elizondo ahora
está en manos de alguien más, por lo que ahora les hará una mala jugada a los
hermanos Reyes.

Ofelia se sorprende al escuchar que
Margarita, 'la diosa de la cumbia' va a cantar, piensa para sí, que ésa mujer
es la verdadera madre de Rosario.
Don Agustín va a ver a Sofía y Juan, él les
cuenta que Raquel aceptó frente a él que posee las tierras de los Reyes y
además dijo algo acerca de un intercambio que hizo con Gabriela.
