Silvano realizes that LM and
Marifea are in the restaurant and Rosaura tells him she'd prefer another
restaurant. Silvano says no, that they should go and say hello so that LM can
finally understand that she doesn't care about seeing him with another woman.
Despite her unwillingness, Silvano brings her to their table. The couples greet
each other and Silvano compliments Marifea on her look. Marifea replies that
Eduarda helped her look pretty for LM. To make Rosaura jealous, LM starts
flirting with Marifea, telling her, "I ADORE it when you dress up for
me". Silvano and Rosaura say good-bye and go sit at another table, while
LM and MF do kissy-kissy stuff to show off their "love".
At Leobardo's house, the boy asks his
grandmother why she told LM that the baby is named Angeliquita. The grandmother
replies that she can't tell the truth about the baby,and in all normal
families, it just doesn't happen that a baby remains unnamed, so from now on,
the baby's name is Angelica, or Angeliquita.
The old lady says that the baby has
stolen her heart and she loves her as if she was her own grandchild.
Back at the restaurant, Rosaura is
busy denying that the presence of LM and Marifea has ruined her appetite. Guess
who else goes into the restaurant? Valeria enters and immediately notices the
presence of LM and Marifea. Amused, she calls Eva on her cell to inform her.
Eduarda is seated in the living room
when there's a knock at the door. She goes to open it, and Eva enters like a
fury. Her greeting is "Traitor!" Eduarda asks her what she's doing
there and Eva responds that she is finally going to fix that "Blind Woman
of a Thousand Demons" ("ESTA CIEGA DE MIL DEMONIOS).
Eduarda tries to hold her back, but
Eva shoves her and throws her on the sofa. Next, Eva runs into Marifea's room
and locks the door, telling Marifea "I've been looking for you".
Marifea cries, "Eva!"
Eva asks her how she can tell it's
her, and don't bother saying she recognized her voice because they've hardly
ever spoken. Supernervous, Marifea bleats out that she recognized Eva's voice
because blind people's other senses develop more to compensate.
Eduarda knocks at the door and shouts
for them to open it. Eva grabs Marifea and tells her to listen closely: that
she is not going to succeed in taking LM away from her, because if not even la
Gata Salvaje could do it, a blind girl doesn't stand a chance!
To underline her message, Eva gives
Marifea a tremendous slap! Surprise, Marifea doesn't waste any time giving her
one back with interest. They start hitting each other all over the room, with
Eduarda yelling outside for them to open the door.
While these two witches are fighting,
LM sneaks into the ex-Arismendi Estate and gets into Rosaura's room, where
Rosaura is sleeping like an angel. He starts speaking to her while caressing
her face. He tells her that her kisses will never belong to Silvano or any
other man...and he kisses her. He sneaks out as silently as he came in, and
goes out through the garden. Rosaura wakes up and asks herself if LM was really
there, or if she dreamed it, while touching her just-kissed lips...but she
manages to go back to sleep. Meanwhile, LM gets into his car and leaves!
Back at LM's apartment, the fight is
still going on. Eduarda has managed to get into the room and separates the two
women. Eduarda tells Eva she can't hit Marifea because she's blind. Eva replies
that Marifea is NOT blind because when she slapped her the first time, Marifea
didn't hesitate to hit her back as any seeing person would have. Marifea says
that she was only defending herself, while a hysterical Eva accuses her of
faking blindness only to manipulate LM.
Eduarda then reminds her that Eva is
not in a position to accuse anybody of lying, since she tricked LM for a long
time by telling him that Gabriel's son was his baby. Eva says that she has
discovered her ploy and she will tell LM everything. Eduarda tells her to leave
or she will call the cops. Eva warns Marifea to watch out for her, since Eva
now is wise to her play-acting. She leaves, and Marifea is very scared about
Eva's knowing the truth. Eduarda calms her by saying that Eva has no proof, and
says that she will protect her so LM doesn't find out.
Leobardo is playing in the park when
he meets LM. They start talking about the baby. LM tells the boy that he also
has a baby girl that he's never seen. The boy asks him why he doesn't know his
own baby and LM tells him it's too complicated for him to explain. He's at the
park hoping to meet the grandmother with the baby because when he saw the baby
he got a strong feeling about her. He tells Leobardo it's hard to explain this
feeling or understand it...and tells him to go play with his friends.
Back at the Modeling Agency, Rosaura
tells Karina about her suspicions ...she thinks LM sneaked into her room and
kissed her!
A taxi arrives at the Arismendi
estate and a beautiful girl gets out..Guess who? Jimena's back in residence at
the ranch! Panchita's inside, as always, singing and dusting, when the bell
rings. Panchita prays that it be Silvano but she's disappointed, it's only
Jimena. Panchita asks her if she's out of jail already?
Jimena laughs and tells Panchita she
hasn't changed a bit! Instead, she tells Panchita that she asked Rosaura if she
could live there, and Panchita's reply is " that's what everybody
thinks,this place is either a hotel or an inn, everybody wants to live
here!". Jimena says she doesn't want to live with Eduarda. Luisana comes
into the room and is very happy to see Jimena, they hug and say nice things to
each other.
LM goes back to the Ranch and hides
in a room. Rosaura welcomes Jimena and congratulates her on her rehabilitation,
echoed by Caridad.
In the House of the Granados Sisters,
Eva and Silvia are dining with Valeria and Eva says that Marifea isn't blind,
but she can't prove it. Silvia says that the most important thing right now is
not showing LM that Marifea isn't blind, but to recover the letter. Valeria
asks "what letter?" and Silvia tells her everything they did to
prevent Karina from inheriting, and that Max wrote her a letter before he died,
and this letter is now in the hands of "the illegitimate one" Cut to
Karina in her bed, with the letter in her hand ..asking herself what could have
Max written?? But she tells herself that she's still not ready to read it and
hides it back inthe drawer. Rosaura is in her room when LM suddenly comes up
behind her and embraces her. She's surprised. He tells her he was very jealous
when he saw her with Silvano in the restaurant, and he kisses her. The kiss
goes on, but finally Rosaura breaks away and says that this wasn't part of
their agreement, that they had decided to lead separate lives. LM asserts that
she wants those kisses as much as he does. She begs him to leave by the same
window he came in, and not to come back, or she'll have bars put on the
windows. Then she leaves the room with LM still in it. Rosaura runs to Jimena's
room and tells her and Caridad that LM went into her room and kissed her. Jimena
asks her if she still loves LM, and Rosaura says yes, but there are too many
things that have separated them and right now the only thing she wants is
to...find her missing baby!
At Sonia's house, the grandmother and
Leobardo inform Sonia that the baby's name is now Angeliquita and ask if she
likes the name. Sonia doesn't care. Leobardo mentions LM and Sonia asks him how
many friends he has,wasn't his friend's name Silvano? The boy answers that he
has 2 friends, Silvano and LM. Sonia asks if they're rich and the grandmother
gets irritated and tells her daughter that isn't revelant. Sonia replies that
one can always take advantage of rich friends!
Adriana is very nervous at the
hospital. Meredes arrives and Adriana starts telling her aunt that Imanol is in
very critical condition and that she feels really guilty.
Caridad and Jimena finish inspecting
Rosaura's room and give her the ok to return since LM has left. Rosaura asks
them if they're sure, and they say yes, and she sighs, saying hopefully he will
never come back and respect her pain.
Guillermo comes to visit Jimena and
is received by Panchita, who begins a monologue on the fact that this house is
a magnet for handsome hunks, but then she thinks it over and decides that she's
the attraction they all come to see and is quite pleased with that idea.
Guillermo overhears her talking to herself, and asks her to repeat what she
said....Panchita just says that she was just thinking out loud. Then she tells
Guillermo that he went to see "the ex" as in " the ex-alcoholic
Miss Jimena. Guillermo gets offended and demands more respect from her.
Panchita leaves and Jimena arrives. They hug and talk about what they will do
on Jimena's first day out of the clinic. Guillermo says that he made her two
promises, one to take her to eat the biggest, juiciest hamburgers and the
second one was...ask her to marry him! He formally asks Jimena to become his
wife. At that precise instant, someone knocks at the door, which Panchita has
to interrupt her eavesdropping to answer. It's Rodrigo, and he happily greets
Jimena. He tells her what happened to Imanol, and how right now he's hovering
between life and death. She asks to see him immediately.Meanwhile, Guillermo is
totally out of it and asks Jimena if she is going to give him an answer!! She
tells him that she can't answer right now.
Marifea is in her room smoking and
reading a book when LM knocks at the door. She puts out the cigarette and hides
the book. When LM enters, he realizes she's been smoking and asks her how she managed
to light the cigarette. She laughs nervously and tells him that just because
she's blind that doesn't mean she's totally helpless, it took her a few tries
but she managed. Then she asks him what he wanted to talk to her about. LM just
looks at her doubtingly.
MJ enters Karina's room and finds her
passed out on the floor.
LM tells Maribella that he will take
her to the clinic, because according to the docvtors, she should have already
recovered her sight, so she should undergo some tests. Marifea gets very
nervous.
Marifea and LM discuss the pros and
cons of visiting the doctor. She makes some lame excuses, but insists that she
wants to get well so she won't be a burden to him. She tells him she knows he
doesn't love her, but if she's hanging on to him, it's because he's the most
important thing in her life and if she could see, she would leave him so he
could go back to being happy with Rosaura. (Crying copious crocodile tears all
the while). She begs him to forgive her for being a burden, and LM tells her
not to get so upset. Marifea keeps crying, because she is so sad...
Eduarda calls Rosaura and demands
that she stop seeing LM.
Rosaura replies that he's the one
looking for HER. Eduarda tells her to reject him. Rosaura swears that she's no
longer interested in men, all she wants is to find her daughter. Eduarda
threatens her and says that something bad could happen to her...Rosaura asks
her if she's thinking of killing her the way she killed her father....Eduarda
hangs up the phone in shock and anger.
Karina comes to and asks what
happened to her. MJ says she has no clue, Karina can only say that suddenly she
felt very weak.
MJ insists that they go to the
doctor, Karina doesn't want to since she's convinced it's only stress and maybe
that she's not eating a balanced diet.
Jimena cries over Imanol, and even
though Guillermo insists, she tells him they will talk about it later. She
leaves for the hospital with Rodrigo. Luisana arrives and asks where Jimena is,
Panchita tells her. Guillermo tells Luisana that he asked Jimena to marry him
and when Luisana asks what her answer was, Panchita breaks in to the
conversation and says "nothing!" since Rodrigo showed up at that very
moment with the bad news.
Luisana reprimands Panchita and tells
her that she has to stop butting in to other people's conversations. Then she
invites Guillermo to follow her to the living room so they can talk privately.
Panchita is very offended at this treatment...she can't understand why she is
excluded from family chats if she is an Arismendi-Rios-Olivares.
Marifea continues to sob and pity
herself, she begs LM not to submit her to the tortures of tests, hospitals,
bla,bla, bla. Her noise, whining and tears is finally enough to dissaude LM
from taking her for tests!

At the Arismendi house, Luisana and
Guillermo are having a chat. He tells her that he asked Jimena to marry him,
but he said she didn't show him any feelings at all.
Luisana replies that she's certain
that Jimena loves him, but she was in shock from the bad news. Guillermo says
that he knows that she doesn't love him in the same way as she loved Ivan.
Luisana suggests that he give Jimena some time, remember that she's just come
out of the clinic and she still needs to adjust. LM informs Eduarda of the
hysterical reaction Marifea had when he asked her to go to the specialist.
Eduarda insists that Marifea's going through some very hard times and he should
not be pressuring her to do anything. LM says that everybody's having a hard
time right now, including Rosaura who lost her baby. Eduarda doesn't waste a
chance to speak ill of Rosaura, saying that she is to blame for the baby's
disappearance and that he shouldn't feel sorry for her...on the contrary, he
should hate her!
At the hospital, Adriana is talking
with Imanol's mother and trying to make the poor woman feel better. Then
Rodrigo and Jimena walk by and Adriana is surprised to see them. She asks if
Jimena got special permission from the clinic to leave. Jimena tells her no,
she finished her treatment, and asks about Imanol. Adriana tells her he's still
in intensive care and introduces his mother. Jimena introduces herself as a
great friend of Imanol's, not to be worried, he would make it through.She asks
permission to go see him. Adriana turns to Rodrigo and says, that means she
will see Ivan in the room with Imanol! Ivan is very surprised to see her come
into the room.
Rosaura is in her room when Caridad
comes in to tell her the family's waiting for her to go down to dinner. Rosaura
asks to be excused, she's not hungry. Caridad tries to comfort her, but Rosaura
just starts crying (badly as usual) for her poor lost baby.
Caridad suggests that she take a long
trip so she can forget all this, but Rosaura says no, that she has to stay here
until her daughter is found. Ivan asks Jimena what's she doing, outside of the
clinic, and she replies that she finished the treatment and will never have to
go back, because her addiciton is under control and she will never have a
relapse. Then she asks about Imanol's condition and Ivan says that he's doing
very badly, but he hopes that by staying by his side he can transmit positive
energy to help him recover.
Jimena prays that he be saved from
death, and Ivan concurs. Then they go off to one side, take off the surgical
masks and look at each other. Ivan says that she looks different, more
beautiful - it seems that he's looking at another Jimena.
Jimena dice que Dios quiera que se salve e Ivan dice que El le desea lo
mismo. She answers that she is another Jimena, and Ivan says that maybe
they needed to talk, she can't understand what about, since everything between
them has been said. That he hates her for the death of their baby. Ivan says
that that was a long time ago and that both of them were young and immature,
but there are still a lot of things they could talk about, clarify and also,
ask forgiveness of each other. At that moment Imanol moans and they run to his
bedside. Ivan runs to get a doctor while Jimena talks to Imanols and tells him
to fight for his life!
Marifea, totally mortified and
ashamed, confesses to Eduarda that she is sure that LM suspects her. Eduarda
calms her down by saying that LM doesn't suspect a thing, but Marifea insists
she's right, because why would he be pressuring her to go see the doctors if he
wasn't suspicious of something?? Eduarda says that it is logical to want to
take her to the doctor simply because LM wants her to get well. Marifea insists
that all he wants to do is dump her. Eduarda says the only solution would be to
get married before going to the doctor. Marifea says that that wouldn't work,
she needs to have LM and Rosaura make a final, definitive break.
Mayrita and Leonarda are chatting.
The little girl says that she loves LM very much, just like Rosy, even if they
were unhappily married. The kids begin to imagine themselves grown up and
married and very happy. Mayrita says that for her to be happy, Leobardo has to
be very faithful to her. Leobardo asks what that means. Mayrita says that when
she's a grown up lady she will explain it to him. She says that life will serve
to teach her, and then explains what being unfaithful means!
Imanol wakes from his coma, talks to
Jimena, says he feels very bad and that Death wanted to take him, too bad he
didn't die in the car accident because he's just totally useless to everybody.
Jimena tells him to stop talking to save his strength. Adriana enters and
Jimena tells her how sorry she is about what Imanol did to her. Adriana says
she didn't come in to talk about that, but to talk about Ivan.
Gabriel and LM are strolling the park
hoping to meet Leobardo's grandmother and the baby. LM tells him that being
close to Angeliquita is like having his own baby girl back...and voila! here
comes the old lady with the baby. LM asks her if he can hold the baby. He holds
her for a few seconds, talks baby talk, shows her off to Gabriel and hands her
back to the old lady. He gives her his business card in case she needs
anything, he's at her service. The old lady says thanks and LM and Gabriel
leave. The old lady thinks to herself how strange it is for this young man to
have such affection for this baby without a reason that his eyes are sad - she
wonders what pain he carries in his heart???
Sonia is at her house with Carlos the
farmhand ..she's giving him his share of the money they got for the baby. She
tells him how her mother has fallen in love with the baby and takes care of her
and even takes her to the park. Carlos points out that this could be very
dangerous, that somebody night recognize her, but Sonia objects that there's no
danger, since so few people have seen her since she was born. Leobardo comes
in, Carlos leaves, and Leobardo asks his mother who the man with the nasty face
is...Sonia tells him that Carlos isn't nasty and packs him off to take a bath
and do his homework.
At the modeling agencvy, Silvano
congratulates Rosaura on her efficiency. He tells her she's become a great
assistant, the best he's ever had, and wants to invite her out to eat. She
declines, but Silvano insists telling her that if she doesn't eat, she will get
too thin, and the wind will take her away...'cause it's hurricane season!
(Although personally I doubt that any
wind could lift her off the ground, with those tremendous impants!). Finally
Silvano says he'll take her to a new mall and he won't take no for an answer.
The old lady asks Sonia for money to
buy a stroller for the baby so she can take her walking (about time, the poor
old lady was getting bursitis from carting that baby around!). Sonia is annoyed
and says that it's only more bother.
Luisana goes to visit LM to inform
him that Rosaura is not happy because she can't stop thinking about the lost
baby. LM responds that he doesn't believe her, because Rosaura prefers to be
with Silvano. Luisana tries to convince him that nothing is going on between
them. LM asks Luisana if she is sure of it, and Luisana says she is.
Silvano and Rosaura go to the mall
and window-shop. At the same time,the old lady with the baby enters a baby shop
and says that she needs baby clothes and a stroller.
Rosaura sees the baby shop and wants to
enter, although Silvano says it's not a good idea, Rosaura insists, so they
finally go in.
At the hospital, Adriana tells Jimena
that she wants to be very direct about things and asks her if she is still in
love with Ivan. Jimena says that she is yes, still very much in love with Ivan.
Adriana is saddened to learn this, and asks Jimena if she will try to get him
back. Jimena says no, that if Adriana marries Ivan, she will also get
married..Adriana is very surprised to hear this...and asks, who to? Guillermo
arrives exactly on time and Jimena introduves him to Adriana as her intended
husband! Which leaves Guillermo looking VERY SURPRISED. Jimena tells him she's
decided to accept his offer of marriage. Guillermo is SUPERHAPPY!
Back at the baby shop, Rosaura and
the old lady are browsing through the clothes. Silvano sees the old lady and
the baby and goes to say hello to her and the "beautiful baby"
Rosaura comes up and asks Silvano to take her out of the store because it's
messed up her head. When the old lady sees Rosaura she gets scared. Then
Rosaura stares at the baby and says that...it's her daughter. Rosaura keeps
insisting, but Silvano keeps telling her that the baby is the lady's
granddaughter.
The old lady confirms this, saying
that her granddaughter's name is Angeliquita. Rosaura asks permission to hold
the baby. The old lady hands over the baby and asks Rosaura if she lost a baby.
Silvano says that it's a long, sad story. Rosaura is happy holding the baby.

Jimena and Adriana are standing and finds out about the marriage.
LM tells Luisana all about
Angeliquita and the feelings that this baby stirs in him.
LM thinks that the baby may be his,
but Luisana begs him not to torment himself further..this baby belongs to the
lady that takes her for walks in the park!
Ivan asks Jimena if she is going to
marry Guillermo. Jimena says yes, and Guillermo says that he will always be
there for her. Jimena says that she already knows that, because when she was in
the clinic, he was always there. Then she says she wants to go visit LM - as
they walk away, Guillermo insists that first they're going to get those big
juicy hamburgers that he promised her! Ivan tells Adriana that he's going in to
visit Imanol...but once he's alone in the room, he weeps for his lost
cosita...!
Rosaura is still holding the baby in
her arms..the old lady asks why she is so sad, did her baby die? Silvano asks
Rosaura to give the baby back to its grandmother, because all this is affecting
very negatively. Rosaura gives back the baby and says that she is suffering
terribly because she didn't know how to care for her baby.
Then they finally leave the store. LM
keeps telling Luisana about the baby and says that she even looks like Rosaura.
He gives a detailed description, says she has beautiful eyes. LM also talks
about Eduarda, who speaks so badly of Rosaura, he doesn't understand how he let
her move into his house! Luisana tells LM that Eduarda has never had feelings for
anybody... when they are interrupted by Eva's arrival...stating that she and LM
have to have a very serious talk!!
LM tells Eva that the only reason he
can explain her disagreable presence there is that she has finally agreed to
sign the divorce papers, but Eva says she has no intention of signing anything,
that she's there to...LM cuts her off and says that he is not interested in
anything she has to say, and she can now leave. Luisana tries to intervene
also, and Eva tells her to stay out of what's not her business, this is a
private conversation between her and LM. LM tells her he has no more patience
left, she should leave, but Eva says she won't leave until he knows what kind
of a dirty trick that Marifea Tovar is playing on him!
In the fields of the ranch, Bruno and
some workers are covering up a hole, talking about how dangerous it would be
for someone to walk over it and fall in.
Back at the mall, Rosaura laments
that visiting that store and holding the baby made her even sadder than she
was....she says that when her baby was born, she was so disturbed, she can't
remember a thing, not even the smell of the baby. Silvano consoles her and
tries to make her feel better. .
Panchita goes looking for Bruno,
singing among the vegetation. when suddenly...she falls right into the hole the
workmen were trying to cover up! Panchita freaks out and starts yelling for
someone to rescue her!
Silvano begs Rosaura to forget about
LM once and for all, his love is bad for her and she should give him the
opportunity to let him help her forget so much pain -- the two of them can
search for the baby. Rosaura replies that this is not the right moment or place
to discuss such things, and she just wants to go home. She gets up and leaves,
with Silvano trailing after her.
Panchita is still trapped and yelling
for help...calling for Bruno, but only Verdoso shows up! The parrot has a fine
time making fun of her. Panchita begs the bird to help her and promises she
will be very good to him and give him lots of yummy food.
In intensive care, Adriana asks Ivan
to talk to her about Jimena, but Ivan tells her that he doesn't want to talk
about it now and leaves. Adriana tries to go after him, but Imanol calls her,
telling her that he wants to ask her forgiveness before he dies.
LM tells Eva to quit talking trash
and explain what she means about Marifea faking it. Eva tells him that Marifea
is tricking him by acting blind when she isn't!

Eva keeps insisting that Marifea can
see but LM won't believe her. He doesn't want to hear Eva speak ill of her. Eva
insists again that Marifea is faking it only to ensure that he stays by her
side. Luisiana intervenes again but Eva shuts her up fast and tells her not to
get involved. Then she asks LM to believe her.
In the hospital Adriana and Imanol
are still talking. He says that he feels very empty and that life isn't worth
living like this. Adriana tries to find words to encourage him to live. Imanol
admits that she is a very good person and he played very dirty with her. She
asks him not to mention it anymore and just try to be calm.
Eva begs LM to trust her - she is
telling the truth this time. LM replies that she has to prove it, and all she
can say is that unfortunately she doesn't have any proof. LM looks at her with
disdain and tells her that she has become absolutely shameless. How dare she
have the guts to say that Marifea is a faker when she was the one who tricked
him into marrying her by passing off Gabriel's child as his?? Then he tells Eva
to leave or he will call security to have her tossed out of the office, and
that her attempt to put him against Marifea has failed. Eva yells that she will
never give him the divorce so he can run off and marry Marifea. She'll only
give up after she's dead! she shouts as she takes her furious leave of his
office. Luisana asks LM if what Eva is saying could possibly be true....? LM
says he doesn't know what to believe anymore, first Camelia faked her own death
and then her amnesia, then Eva lied about her baby...Luisana suggests that
either way he needs to investigate further and pay attention. She's interrupted
by the arrival of Jimena and Guillermo. After they exchange greetings, LM
invites her to come live with him at the apt. but Jimena affirms that she has
no intention of being in proximity to Eduarda, who made her suffer so much. LM
understands her feelings and proposes that he rent her a small apartment, but
Jimena tells him not to worry about her, that she already has a place to live -
Rosaura's house!
In the Arismendi Estate's kitchen
Bruno, Samuel and Caridad are discussing Rosaura's lost baby. Bruno says that
he doesn't want to be pessimistic, but he doesn't think the baby will ever
appear, and probably has died. The other two servants get upset and tell him
not to say that even as a joke. The parrot flies in and tells Bruno that
Panchita fell into a hole. Samuel and Caridad ask Bruno to get her out, and
Bruno says they should leave her in there because she's such a gossip!
LM, Jimena and Luisana arrive at
Rosaura's house with a plan: they will hide LM in her bedroom where he can lie
in wait for her. Although Luisana isn't too keenn on the idea, Jimena insists
that the two of them do love each other and need to talk. LM hides in Rosaura's
room. Bruno arrives and welcomes Jimena warmly. He politely tells Luisana that
it's good to see her. Jimena discreetly leaves them alone and Bruno tells her
that Panchita fell into a hole and asks her to help him get her out. Bruno
thinks they'd have a chance to talk while doing it. Luisiana says no, while
Bruno insists that they have to talk. She prefers to get comfy and take off her
makeup...but Bruno tells her not to, she looks gorgeous with it on. He gets
close to her and tells her her perfume smells nice and her red lips are so
enticing...so enticing that he ends up kissing her..the kiss goes on and on,
and finally Luisana breaks away saying that she can't do this, because she
can't forget he caused her so much pain and anguish...and she runs away.
Rodrigo visits Karina at the modeling
agency. He asks if she's feeling better and has got over Max's death. Karina's
answer is that she's resigned herself to accept it. Rodrigo invites her to have
coffee, but she asks him to take her to the doctor and tells him of her
fainting spells. They go off to the doctor.
At Sonia's house, the grandmother
says that even though she didn't have enough money, she got a stroller for
Angeliquita and some clothing. Sonia thinks this is too much money to spend on
someone who isn't even related to them.
Leobardo asks who Angeliquita's real
parents are. Sonia tells him that the mother is a poor crazy woman and the father
must be a drunk. The old lady scolds Sonia - she shouldn't be saying such
things to her son! The boy insists that his mother tell him the truth about the
baby's parents, but she tells him not to bother her anymore, the baby doesn't
belong to anyone. Sonia goes to her bedroom and Leobardo comments to his
grandmother that it is very sad for Angeliquita not to have any parents.
Rosaura arrives home and Samuel notes that she's back early. She tells him that
Silvano gave her the afternoon off and she just wants to go to her room to be
alone with her suffering.
Entering her room, Rosaura is
surprised to find Luis Mario and reproaches him for having entered her room
again. LM replies that he learned that Jimena is living in her house and he
just came to say thank-you. Rosaura cuts him off by saying that she's happy to
help Jimena because she loves her like a sister. LM tells her that they have to
talk..he takes her in his arms and tells her he loves to hold her like
this...so close to his body..Rosaura tries to say something, but LM tells her
to be quiet, and kisses her(while an entire verse of Pablo Montero's song 'Gata
Salvaje" plays...ayyy! these two specialize in long kisses!)
In the hospital, Ivan asks Adriana
about Imanol's current condition and she tells him that he woke up and asked
her to forgive him. Ivan wants to see him, but Adriana tells him that his
mother is now with him, and maybe they can take advantage of being along to
discuss Jimena. Adriana cries and asks Ivan to tell her the truth - Ivan says
he doesn't want to deceive her and tells her clearly that he is upset that
she's marrying somebody else, but Adriana can help him forget her and he wants
to learn to love her because she's been so good to him and with her help he's
certain that one day he will come to really love her.
Rosaura's room should have caught
fire by now, judging by the passionate kisses and heavy breathing! Rosaura
weakly tries to free herself from these kisses, but LM isn't listening, and
picks her up in his arms...and puts her down on the bed!
(WOW! He's on fire!).
Panchita is still stuck in the hole
and wondering how she will ever manage to get out when she hears Bruno calling
and starts shouting until he can locate her. Bruno tells her to stay calm, that
he will find a way to help her out and gives her his hand...of course Bruno the
idiot falls into the hole, too! Bruno blames Panchita for creating the
situation and asks her how they'll get out now. Panchita says that he can help
her out first and she will then pull him out. Bruno objects because Panchita is
heavier than he is; wouldn't it be easier for her to help him get out first?
Panchita gets offended and tells him he's not very gentlemanly in his
manners...how dare he insinuate that she's fat?? But she tries to do it his way
and they try to get him out first.The only thing that happens is that they both
fall in again, with Panchita 'conveniently' falling right on top of Bruno!
Bruno shoves her off him furiously and worries about how they'll ever get out
of the hole. Panchita retorts that all he does is talk, talk, talk, and then
says that she's afraid and grabs onto him like a leech and won't let go.
At Sonia's house, the old lady tells
the boy about meeting Silvano and a very pretty, very sad girl in the baby shop.
Leobardo says that she must be Silvano's girlfriend. The old lady says that she
was very upset to see the girl so sad, but when she saw Angeliquita she changed
totally and held her and kissed her. The old lady thinks that the girl must
have lost a baby and that's the reason for her sadness. They keep talking, and
the old lady finally remembers where she saw Rosaura the first time...and says
out loud "It's her!" running out of the room to tell Sonia what she
just remembered. And Sonia is left open-mouthed when her mother tells her that
she saw Angeliquita's mother! Sonia scolds her mother for not telling her this
and also asks why Rosaura didn't recognize her when she saw her with the baby.
The old lady replies that the girl is probably doing better mentally than she
was when she gave her the baby to keep. Sonia gets very nervous and asks her
mother a bunch of questions. The old lady says they should give the baby back
to Rosaura but Sonia shouts that no way will they give back the baby!
Rosaura's room is still on fire with
passion (it's beginning to resemble the infamous cabin where Eva and Rosaura
almost perished!) between the kisses and caresses Rosaura and LM are
exchanging....LM starts taking off her top...(ay, mama!)
But Rosaura reacts and gets off the
bed. LM goes after her and says that these kisses show that she still loves
him. Rosaura says she can't enjoy love while her baby is still missing. LM
tries to insist, but Rosaura stands firm. Finally LM leaves and
Rosaura...starts crying.
Eva tells Valeria and Silvia that she
went to see LM and tell him about the model's perfidy, but he wouldn't believe
her. Eva is furious and swears she will find a way to unmask Marifea before
LM's very eyes...
Sonia and her mother are still
arguing. Sonia says that if she says anything, she could wind up in jail again
and the old lady gets scared, she doesn't want to see her daughter back in
jail. Although she is very sorry for the mother of this baby, she would be even
sorrier to see her daughter back behind bars, so she agrees to do what Sonia
wants.
At the hospital, Karina and Rodrigo
meet up with Adriana and Ivan. Karina explains that she was there to have some
routine tests done and decided to ask about Imanol while she was there.
Rosaura tells Tia Claudia about LM's
visit, and how they were kissing and how she barely escaped making love with
him. Tia Claudia asks if they did actually make love, and Rosaura explains that
it didn't happen because she managed to resist just in time.
LM knocks at Marifea's door and asks
if he can come in. She fixes herself up and tells him to enter. LM tells her
that Eva visited him and Marifea nervously asks if it was about the divorce.LM
says no, that she came to tell him that she had seen Marifea and wanted to know
why neither she nor Eduarda saw fit to tell him about Eva's visit. Marifea
denies that Eva was ever there. LM keeps scrutinizing her face as if he were
trying to discover something, then he says that Eva swore that Marifea got her
sight back. Marifea immediately replies that she was lying. LM waves his hand
directly in front of Marifea's eyes, but she doesn't react. Then he asks her if
perhaps she isn't the one who is lying? LM tells Marifea plainly that he wants
to find out who's the liar, either her or Eva, and Marifea almost trembling
with nerves says that Eva is the liar, she's always been a lying nasty witch.
Marifea extends her hand to touch LM, but he moves just out of her reach. LM
continues by saying that she needs to prove her blindness by going to the doctor.
Marifea sits on the bed and starts with her litany of fears, of pain of
disappointment, of tests, etc. etc. LM says that he would be very hurt if she
turned out to be another liar like Eva and that he hopes that she's not playing
tricks on him because if that were the case, her lies would cause him to forget
all the affection he has for her.
LM leaves the room and Marifea goes
hysterical saying that Eva is an idiot who won't rest until she finds proof of
her lies and that now more than ever she has to be a great actress otherwise
she will lose LM forever!
Jimena goes to see Rosaura and
confesses that she was the one who let LM in because he wanted to thank her,
but Rosaura corrects her: that wasn't what LM was looking for, he wanted to
kiss her and make love to her. Jimena asks if anything happened between them
and Rosaura tells her no. Jimena repeats that her brother loves her and Rosaura
echoes her by saying that he brother Ivan loves Jimena, too. They discuss her
marrying Guillermo without love. Finally, they get around to discussing the
missing baby and how guilty Rosaura feels about that.
Panchita and Bruno are still trapped
in the hole, and she's very scared because nobody's come to rescue them. Bruno
instead is just very angry. Panchita yaps and yaps and hugs Bruno and says that
he has to defend her from ghosts. Panchita says that she has a bad feeling that
they will end up staying in the hole for 50 years until they are both old and
she starts to imagine what that would be like:here comes another Panchita
fantasy! When she comes back to reality, Panchita starts to try because they
won't be found until they are old and grey, but Bruno cuts her off and tells
her to stop talking like an idiot and gets up. Panchita asks him where he's
going and Bruno says that he's going to find a way out, she asks where and he
says that they can find a way out. Panchita grabs him by the leg and yells that
he shouldn't do it, and Bruno starts walking with her still hanging on to his
leg.
The old lady is very nervous,alone in
the living room of Sonia's house, she has the business card LM gave her in her
hands and keeps looking at it, asking herself if this man could possibly know
the baby's mother...she doesn't know what to do. Finally she decides, and dials
his number. LM answers and asks who's speaking, two or three times, but the old
lady doesn't answer.

Marifea and Eduarda are deep in
conversation. Marifea says that LM asked her to go to the specialist and it’s
probably because Eva managed to plant doubts in his mind about her blindness.
Eduarda reassures her that she doesn’t need to worry because no one is going to
be able to discern the truth. Eduarda repeats that she will support Marifea in
everything.
Sonia argues with her mother to find
out who she was trying to phone. When she finally snatches the card out of the
old lady’s grasp, Sonia discovers that LM’s phone number is on it. She
threatens to put her mother in a nursing home for decrepit old people if she
ever contacts this man. The old lady is suitably frightened.
Rosaura recalls the incredible kisses
that she exchanged with LM up to the point where he picked her up in his arms
and carried her to the bed. She gets up and picks up the phone to call him.
Eduarda promises Marifea that she
will speak to LM about how his demands are having a negative effect on her. The
phone rings and no one’s talking on the other line: Eduarda guesses (correctly)
that it’s Rosaura and lies, telling her that Luis Mario is busy making love
with Marifea after a romantic dinner featuring lots of champagne….Rosaura,
upset, hangs up and the two witches on the other end laugh imagining the
jealousy that Rosaura must be feeling right now! In fact, Rosaura believed
Eduarda’s lies and is busy tormenting herself imaging what the happy couple are
doing in bed.
Bruno’s still trapped with Panchita
in the hole, but she’s happy because she can play with him, taking advantage of
the situation to embrace him (in her usual comic manner). Bruno begins to
remember when he first met Panchita. He laughs remembering the incident where
she was dressed as a nun, and shares these memories with Panchita, they laugh
and joke about old times.
Rosaura complains to her aunt about
the situation she’s in. She also tells her what Eduarda said on the phone and
suffers remembering all the things LM did when they were married…but now he’s
with Marifea and is loving her. She cries and regrets the moment LM and Marifea
met, and when she lost her baby. She cries that she has nothing left in her
life, not LM or the baby that could have united them for the rest of their
lives. Her aunt makes her understand that Eduarda must have lied in order to
make her suffer.
Luis Mario again asks Eduarda if
Marifea can see and of course Eduarda replies with a resounding NO and advises
that he shouldn’t force her to visit the doctor because this would be a torture
for Marifea.
Luis Mario tells her that Jimena has
already left the clinic and is living in their old house with Rosaura. Eduarda,
irritated, asks why Jimena chose to go there. LM replies that Jimena is now a
legal adult and can live anywhere she pleases. And he adds that he hopes that
she and Ivan can manage to get back together, so at least they can find some
happiness.
Rosauara and Claudia pray that God
will allow the baby to return so that Rosaura will have some consolation for
all her unhappiness. Meanwhile, Sonia considers the possibility that LM might
be willing to pay good money to locate the baby.
Claudia asks why breakfast hasn’t
been served yet and where is Panchita? Samuel replies that it might be possible
that Panchita and Bruno spent the night together because nobody has seen either
of them….Down in the hole, Panchita and Bruno find a ladder and she climbs it
to see if they can get out that way…..
LM is talking to his mother,
reporting that there still isn’t any news on the missing baby…when Eva appears
and LM makes an insulting comment on her persistence. Eva tells him not to be
offensive, she came to beg his forgiveness and confess that the baby wasn’t
his, but that she only did it to keep him near her…and since they’re still
legally married, they deserve to give each other a second chance. He laughs and
tells her she’s crazy, throws her out, telling her he never loved her at all
nor will he ever. Eva says ok, but she wants the answer to one last question:
Does he love Marifea? He replies NO! and she leaves laughing.
Marifea arrives at the modeling
agency where Anais helps her. She waits for Silvano while Anais goes off and
leaves her alone in the office. So she picks up a magazine…and Rosaura comes in
and sees her and wonders if she can actually see or if she’s just pretending to
read….Rosaura continues thinking about it as she goes out of the office and
Karina asks her what’s going on. Rosaura says that nothing happened, she just
thought she saw something but she’s not sure, and she was probably mistaken,
anyway. Rosaura goes back to Marifea and asks if she’d like a coffee. Marifea
of course starts playing “blind girl” again and Rosaura asks her if she was
looking at the magazine’s pictures, which Marifea of course denies, saying that
Rosaura must be crazy if she thinks blind people can read, she certainly must
be as crazy now as she was when she lost her baby. Rosaura leaves the room
without saying a word, while Marifea laughs to herself.
Panchita manages to reach a point
where she opens a door that leads to a men’s gym dressing room. All the men ask
what she’s doing there and Panchita says to herself that she’s landed in
Paradise, “Lord, what hunks!” Panchita is superexcited seeing all these men and
starts touching them, saying that she’s about to faint from seeing so many
macho men all in one place!
Jimena informs Eduarda that she is
very happy to be where she is, and that she will not accompany her anywhere.
Eduarda yells at her and tells her to get ready because she’s taking her away.
Jimena states that she isn’t going anywhere and will stay there. Eduarda pulls
her and Jimena rebels, insulting Eduarda who wants to slap her but is held back
by the servant. Eduarda starts calling Jimena names and insulting her until
Claudia comes in and has her thrown out of the house.
In a supermarket, Sonia wonders if LM
would be willing to pay information about the baby and asks what would happen
if she paid a visit to Luis Mario…and smiles.
Rosaura is still at the agency when
Silvano appears and she tells him that Marifea is there. He affectionately
greets Marifea, who tells him she came to discuss "Rosaura the
savage" and he says that she shouldn’t call her that. Marifea repeats
it,saying that it upsets her to know that he’s dating “the savage”, but she
asks him to take her far away and he agrees that he’d like for the two of them
to go far away, but he can’t help Marifea with that idea.
Gabriel is with LM. They are
discussing the feelings LM experienced when he saw the baby in the park. Karina’s
mother comes to meet her so they can go get the test results at the hospital.
Bruno explains what happened with
Panchita, and she also tells her version.
Marifea calls Silvano a playboy and
asks how it can be possible that he hasn’t managed to snare la gata yet, since
no woman has ever resisted his advances. He gets a phone call and runs off to a
meeting after saying good-bye to her.
Sonia’s mother is crying with the
baby, explaining that she can’t return her to her real mother because then she’d
be locked up in a nursing home. Leobardo comes in and suggests that they search
for the baby’s real parents so the baby can grow up happy, but his grandmother
says that they can’t do such a thing.
Marifea gets up, takes the phone and
calls LM. Using a very affectionate tone, she tells him that she went to the
modeling agency to discuss business affairs and asks him to come pick her up.
At the hospital, Karina and her
mother are waiting for the test results. The doctor comes in and tells them
that they will have to re-do all the tests. Karina is frightened and asks if
she has a fatal disease, but the doctor doesn’t want to say anything about that
possibility.
Anais informs Marifea of LM’s arrival
and that Rosaura is on her way with her coffee. Rosaura brings in the coffee
and Marifea tells her she doesn’t want it anymore since LM has come to pick her
up. Rosaura says fine she’ll leave, but Anais pushes her, causing her to spill
coffee all over Marifea. Marifea starts screaming that she’s been burned, tells
LM that Rosaura is evil and other nasty things that make her look like
Rosaura's victim while LM just stares at Rosaura.

RACKEL'S UNIVISION SUMMARY FRIDAY 1/17/03
Marifea insists that Rosaura burned
her on purpose and Anais supports Marifea's version of events. Rosaura denies
any evil intent and says that Anais was the one that pushed her from behind; of
course Anais denies this.Marifea asks LM to take her away because Rosaura hates
her and wants to take advantage of her blindness to hurt her. Rosaura tells her
that she doesn't hate her, she only feels pity for her, and it was all an
accident caused by Anais. Silvano arrives and asks what happened. Marifea
hysterically tells him that Rosaura burned her and that he should fire Rosaura.
At the doctor's office, Karina
insists that the doctor tell her what disease she has, but the doctor refuses
and answers that until they have the new test results, she can't give her any
kind of diagnosis, because the first results may have had some errors and the
doctor wants to be sure before saying anything. Despite Karina's insistence,
the doctor stands firm and doesn't say a word.
At the agency, Marifea is still
having hysterics, screaming that Rosaura burned her and that she should be
fired. LM tries to calm her down, telling her it was all just an accident as he
tries to take her out of the office. Anais leaves at the same time they do.
Left alone, Silvano asks Rosaura to
tell him the truth about what happened, and she tells him that it was an
accident and asks him if he's going to fire her. Silvano starts laughing and
tells her that of course he won't! Rosaura thanks him and tell him that she's
going to get somebody to clean up the mess. In the hallway, she meets up with
Anais and tells her not to run away, that she isn't stupid and she's figured
out it was all a set-up between Marifea and Anais to make her look bad. Anais
starts out denying it, but then she admits it and says that she hates Rosaura
for taking away her job since now she's working in a lower position. But she
warns Rosaura that she will now make her life at the agency impossible. Rosaura
unsheathes her claws and gives her a tremendous slap telling her, "this is
so you'll learn why my nickname is Gata Salvaje - I know how to claw and fight
to defend myself against witches without brooms like you!" Rosaura takes off,
leaving Anais to massage her face.
Marifea and LM have left the agency,
but she continues with her sobbing fit (she cries so much it's annoying!). She
wants LM to understand that Rosaura is a nasty person. LM doesn't believe it,
but she keeps insisting so much that LM tells her to just calm down and stop
thinking about Rosaura. Marifea's answer is to embrace him and tell him that he
just doesn't understand how much she loves him, and she doesn't want to lose
him to Rosaura's plots to separate them. She reminds him that he now belongs to
her, and that he has an obligation to be with her. Then she tells him that
Rosaura is crazy. (But I think she's the crazy!) Rosaura says that she's sure
that Marifea and Anais agreed to put on "a show" for LM and Silvano,
but she's not going to let Anais do her any damage.
Karina cries because she's afraid of
what the new test results might show, but MJ consoles her and tells her to
think positive. The nurse comes in and tells them to go into the lab, since
everything is ready for the new tests to be performed. MJ accompanies her
inside.
Adriana chats with her Aunt Mercedes
about the son that Mercedes' father took away from her and says that the
chances of finding him again are very slim or not at all. Ivan comes by to tell
them the great news - Imanol's going to make it!
Adriana says she's going to see him
and her Aunt says that she's been so good about forgiving him for what he did
to her. Adriana leaves and Mercedes takes immediate advantage to suggest to
Ivan that he should ask Adriana to marry him.
In Imanol's room he and Adriana go
over the same old topics, "thanks for your forgiveness, you're very
good...Don't speak, rest, you must recover".
As Adriana says good-bye, Imanol asks
her if she plans to report him to the police and Adriana says she won't because
that wouldn't solve anything, and all she wants to do is forget it ever
happened. Imanol replies that she is so beautiful and so good that he's afraid
he may fall in love with her!
Karina and MJ arrive home and Karina
says she won't be calm until she gets the test results. MJ makes a list of all
the terrible things that have happened, and says that God can't keep punishing
her by sending her an illness. Rodrigo arrives and MJ leaves them alone.
Rodrigo is very happy, but when Karina tells him that she may have something
serious, he gets very worried,but he tells her that she can always rely on him
for anything.
Rosaura's still at the agency,
remembering the day she first met Angeliquita. She cries and begs the Virgin
Mary to keep her baby safe and one day let her be found.
At the Arizmendi apartment, LM says
good-bye to Eduarda and Marifea. Marifea asks him for a kiss, which she
gets...on her forehead. After LM leaves, Marifea tells Eduarda that LM's coldness
is very worrying...Eduarda asks what happened at the agency with Rosaura, and
Marifea tells her the story. Then she decides she must call Silvano immediately
so that he can run over to the apartment. In the beginning Silvano says no
because he doesn't want to meet up with LM, but finally Marifea convinces him
by saying that LM's not there and won't be back until that night.
Mercedes keeps blabbing to Ivan about
how convenient marrying her niece would be for him, but Ivan replies that they
are just getting to know each other and it's not wise to rush things. Mercedes
insists, but Ivan asks her to please not pressure him. Mercedes replies that
marriage to Adriana would make him very happy.
Silvano arrives at the apartment and
is met by Eduarda, who says she'll get Marifea for him. She goes into Marifea's
room and tells her Silvano's arrived. Eduarda also comments on how extremely
good-looking Silvano is. Marifea laughs and asks her if she likes him, and
Eduarda replies that any girl would like such a handsome man, but she was just
making a comment, not to take her seriously. Marifea says not to worry, she
knows that Silvano is very handsome.
They go into the living room, where
Eduarda leaves them alone to talk. Marifea starts talking badly about Rosaura,
about how she did burn her on purpose, she's a nasty girl, etc.etc. Silvano
can't believe that she made him come all the way over to her apt just to hear
such stupidities. Marifea gets angry and tells him she expected him to be on
her side since they were once married. Silvano doesn't let her go on with that
idea, he tells her straight out that they've been divorced for a long time and
she shouldn't be jealous of him and should just leave Rosaura in peace.
LM goes to the agency to talk to
Rosaura and she says she hopes that he at least believes that she didn't burn
Marifea on purpose. LM tells her he believes her. Then Rosaura tells him to
please leave, because his duty is to stay with Marifea, but LM replies that no
other woman, not even Marifea, will ever be able to fill his life.
LM tries to kiss her but she pushes
him away and asks him to leave.
Mayrita and Leobardo arrive at the
Hacienda Arizmendi where Panchita receives them and says that Mercedes is
already waiting for them. Leobardo wants to know why Panchita wears such ugly
decorations in her hair. Panchita calls him an impertinent child and they run
laughing away from Panchita. Samuel arrives and Panchita worriedly asks him if
he thinks her hair ornaments are too much, trashy, tacky, etc. and he answers
no to each question. He tells Panchita that her ornaments are part of her
personality, leaving her very happy. She swears she loves him and covers his
face with kisses (and red lipstick!).
(The next scene is very strange,it
doesn't make any sense, I couldn't understand it and I think they just used it
for filler):
Gabriel is drinking coffee in a
coffee shop and LM arrives, Gabriel asks where he disappeared for the last 3
hours, and LM tells him he went to the agency to pick up Marifea and take her
home,and then went back to the agency to talk to Rosaura. (At the same time, LM
is making signs to someone off-camera as if he wanted someone to come closer)
while he tells Gabriel he also went by the park to see if he could meet the old
lady and the baby. Gabriel repeats what he just said and then comments: 'Don't
tell me you went to the park again" while LM continues to makes signs with
his hands,) Gabriel doesn't finish his sentence, and then turns around to see
who LM is talking to; he asks LM if he wants anything, LM says he wants a
coffee. Then Gabriel asks him if he already met the baby's mother and LM says
no, he only met the old lady and Leobardo, who happens to be Rosaura's sister's
Mayrita's best friend.
Jimena and Guillermo are walking in
the park when he tells her he's sure they'll be very happy, she replies that
he's such a good person that he deserves to be very happy. Guillermo asks her
if she will ever be able to forget Ivan, and she says she'll do her best, but
he has to give her some more time. Guillermo tells her she can have all the
time she wants and kisses her. After the kiss, Jimena sees Ivan's face and says
his name, which upsets Guillermo. She says she's sorry and he says that if
she's not totally sure about marrying him, then they shouldn't because it's an
important commitment. Jimena answers that she is no longer an immature child
and promises that she would never regret marrying him. They kiss again.
Eva, Valeria and Silvia arrive and
park in front of MJ's house. Eva orders Silvia and Valeria to get inside
through a window and go through the house until they find Max's letter. They
unwillingly leave the car to do the deed. Inside, Rodrigo is still consoling
Karina when MJ interrupts and asks what he's still doing there. Karina defends
him and Rodrigo tells MJ that he really loves Karina and nobody will ever love
her daughter like he does. Silvia and Valeria enter Karina's room through the
window and start looking for the famous letter.
At the agency, Luisiana and Rosaura
are having a friendly chat about Luisana's new modeling career, and Luisana
says that despite her great success, her heart is empty - she doesn't have
Bruno's love, just like Rosaura doesn't have LM's love.
Rosaura points out that she herself
refused LM's love. Luisana advises her not to punish herself for losing the
baby. Rosaura remembers seeing Angeliquita and tells Luisana about her.
Eva is getting desperate because she
hasn't seen Silvia and Valeria haven't come back out yet. Luisana says good-by
to Rosaura and leaves. Rosaura gets a call from LM (She answers the phone by
saying 'Silvanooooo's Office!") LM starts telling her all about the baby
he met and how she made him feel. Rosaura tells him that she also met a baby.
LM invites her to go with him to meet Angeliquita so they can both imagine that
she's their lost baby.
Silvia and Valeria don't find any
letters and decide to leave, but as they do, they make noise...and MJ and
Rodrigo, out in the living room, hear them! They burst into the room and see
Silvia and Valeria trying to get out through the window.
Rodrigo grabs them and Karina says
that she's sure they were there to steal Max's letter, which she pulls out from
a drawer. MJ threatens to call the police and have them taken away as petty
thieves. Valeria begs her not to do that.
But Karina says she's tired of all
this, to hold them down tight because she herself is going to call the police.
Eva thinks that something happened to
Silvia and Valeria because they're taking so long to come out. That's when Eva
sees a police car pull up to the house. Inside, Valeria is still begging them
to let her go and swears she's not a thief.
The police officers enter and
Rodrigo, Karina and MJ accuse Silvia and Valeria of being thieves that entered
their house through a window.
LM and Rosaura are still talking
about this baby, and LM asks Rosaura to go with him to meet the baby, but
Rosaura tells him she prefers to see the baby alone, because being with him
just causes her pain, and she hangs up the phone.
The cops take Valeria and Silvia to
their car. Eva watches the whole thing and is very frightened. Rodrigo, MJ and
Karina make fun of the two girls that have been taken off to jail.
At the Hacienda, Mayrita and Leobardo
have finished doing their homework,and Leobardo starts saying good-bye, when
Mayrita asks him to bring Angeliquita to her house without anyone knowing so
that Rosaura can see the baby. Mayrita assures him that the chaffeur can pick
him up and bring him home.Hesitant at first, Leobardo finally agrees to do what
Mayrita wants. He goes back home with the chauffeur, but Sonia discovers him
trying to sneak out with the baby and asks him where he thinks he's going?
Leobardo just stares at her!

RACKEL'S UNIVISION SUMMARY 1/20/03
Marifea thanks LM for the delicious
dinner he prepared for them. She's surprised that he's such a good cook. LM
modestly demurs and calls Eduarda to help get her to bed, but Marifea gets
flirty with him, asks him to put her to bed....and begs him to join her. LM
(the dummy) starts swapping spit (pretty loudly) then he asks her to just leave
things as they are for now. Marifea is confused and he leaves the room. Left
alone, Marifea paces like a caged lion.
Silvano and Rosaura arrive at her
house ; Silvano asks her why she's saying goodbye without inviting him in. She
tells him that it wasn't an easy day for her, she's tired and wants to rest.
Silvano asks her if she'd like to take a trip to L.A. with him. Crying, Rosaura
replies that she has to stay where she is, suffering, because that's what she
deserves for losing her baby. Silvano suggests that she should start to
consider the possibility that her baby will never reappear.
Sonia again asks Leobardo where he
thought he was going with the baby; Leo says he just wanted to take her for a
walk. Of course Sonia doesn't believe him since it's dark out and nobody should
be out on the streets at that hour. She takes him by the arm and demands to
know the truth, the little boy gets scared and begs her not to hit him, while
Sonia keeps yelling at him to tell her the truth.
Silvano and Rosaura discuss the
incident with Marifea at the agency. Silvano comforts her and reassures her,
telling her just to forget the entire episode. He adds that if one day she ever
divorces Patricio, the two of them and the baby would move somewhere far away.
Rosaura goes into her house and Silvano leaves.
Since Leobardo isn't willing to talk,
Sonia keeps shouting at him and threatens to beat the daylights out of him and
goes up to her room to find a belt. Leo takes advantage of her absense to run and
get to the elevator. Sonia returns to the living room with a belt in her hand,
but can't find the kid. Then she starts shouting for him, telling him that if
he hides from her he'll get a worse beating. Hearing all the noise, the
grandmother comes downstairs and wants to know what's going on, why the door is
open, while Sonia realizes that Leo escaped with the baby. She runs after them,
but Leo's already going down inthe elevator. Sonia is furious that she couldn't
catch Leo and swears he'll pay for this. Her mother forbids her to beat the boy
and tries to take the belt away from her, but Sonia evades her attempts and
tells her that she has no right to tell her how to bring up her son. Then she
takes off running for the stairs, with her mother in pursuit, shouting that she
mustn't hurt the boy.
Eva's home alone, drinking and
thinking about how the cops arrested Silvia and Valeria. She says to herself
that she will go to the station and post bail so they can be freed...but before
she does that.....she picks up her cell and dials.
Back at LM's apartment, Marifea tells
Eduarda she is absolutely desperate because it's already 11PM and LM hasn't
returned yet, she's convinced that he's coming home late deliberately when
she's already asleep. The phone rings and Marifea answers.It's Eva, who greets
her by saying "Hello Fake Blind Person!" and goes on to tell her that
LM only belongs to her and that she will soon find proof enough to prove her
deception to LM. Eva adds that Marifea is a piece of trash that anybody could
pick up...Marifea retorts that indeed, Eva is that kind of trash...the kind of
trash that tried to saddle LM with a son that wasn't his, so who is she to say
anything about her, and she hangs up the phone, telling Eduarda the caller was
Eva and she put her in her place.
Sonia tries to grab Leo at the exit
door, but she slips and falls and the little boy takes off running. Her mother
tries to help her up, but Sonia tells her to go after the boy and the baby. The
old lady runs out and shouts for Leo, but she can't see him anywhere, so she
goes back into the building. Leo's hiding behind a car and tells Angeliquita
that he can't go back home because his mom will tan his hide with the belt. He
notes that the chauffeur got tired of waiting for him so they'll have to walk
all the way to Mayrita's house.
Rosaura and Claudia are discussing
Silvano's hypothesis on the missing hijita:maybe she never will be found.
Claudia doesn't know what to say, but sometimes one can do nothing but accept
God's will. Claudia hugs her and tries to console her. She speaks of a
rainbow...and maybe at the end of this rainbow she will find her baby.
Leobardo's walking down the dark streets with Angelilquita in his arms, while
we hear Claudia's voice saying to Rosaura that only God can decide our
destinies and maybe one day he will put her daughter back on her path.
Sonia got hurt when she fell and her
mother has to help her get back into bed. Sonia blames the old lady for Leo's
disappearance, since she might have told him that she had met the baby's mother
and so he decided to go out to look for her.
The old lady denies everything, and
Sonia tells her that if the police discover what they did, both of them will go
to jail!
At a bar, Gabriel and LM are talking
about Rosaura. Gabriel insists that if LM is separating himself from her, it
means he doesn't love her anymore.
LM reminds him that Gabriel isn't the
best one to make that coment, since he left the road open for Max to marry
Minerva. Gabriel replies that was different, since Minerva didn't love him
anymore but Rosaura is still in love with LM. Luis Mario asks why a person
can't have it all in life...Gabriel says that llife is roulette, you win some,
you lose some, and LM says he's on a losing streak. Leo keeps walking down the
street and at an intersection Silvano sees him and yells out his name. Leo
starts to run, Silvano parks his car and runs after the kids. He reaches them
and asks Leo what he's doing out at such a late hour of the night and carrying
the baby. The kid tells Silvano of the plan he and Mayrita dreamed up of
bringing Rosaura the baby to cheer her up.
Silvano tells him that he's very very
far from Mayrita's house and Leo admits he's very tired. Silvano decides that
they could take Angeliquita to Rosaura's house the next day, with his mother's
permission, takes the baby and tells the boy he'll take him home now.
Mayrita enters Rosaura's bedroom and
tells her about the plan that she and Leo had. But it didn't work because the
chauffeur didn't wait long enough for Leo to come downstairs with the
baby.Rosaura thanks her for planning such a lovely surprise and tells her she
will meet the baby another day. Mayrita asks if one day she'll marry Silvano
and Rosaura says that although she's technically still married to Patricio
maybe one day she will marry Silvano. Mayrita asks how she could do that if LM
is the daddy of her baby...how can she marry anyone else? Rosy's excuse is that
LM has an obligation to stay with another woman.
Behind bars in the jail, Valeria is
feeling hopeless and is terrified at the idea of spending another night in
jail. Silvia reassures her that Eva won't allow that to happen.
Valeria keeps on moaning and
complaining anyway, that she'll now have an arrest record, that she should have
told Eva no, etc.etc. until Silvia yells at her to shut up!
Eva shows up and Silvia asks her what
took so long. Eva replies that she had to wait to avoid being suspected, and
demands that they don't tell the police that she was in fact their accomplice.
Then she asks them for the letter, which Silvia tells her they weren't able to
find, so Max's letter with his information is still in the hands of the
"bastard daughter".
Silvano scolds Leo telling him it's
very dangerous to be out on the streets at night and his mother must be worried
so he'll take them home. But the boy begs him not to take him home.
Still drinking at the bar, LM and
Gabriel are still talking about their lives. Gabriel mentions his new role as a
dad, while LM speaks of his missing daughter, Minerva, Rosaura, Eva not signing
the divorce papers, etc. etc.
Leobardo confesses to Silvano that
his mother hits him with a belt. Silvano shocked says that's illegal and they
can jail her for that if anyone finds out. Leobardo is upset by this statement
and tells him not to say that, he doesn't want his mother to go to jail and
pleads with him not to say anything to anybody about the whippings he gets.
Mayrita and Rosaura are still talking
about LM's commitment to another woman, and Mayrita says that it isn't right
for the baby to have another daddy instead of LM. Rosaura callously replies
that in that case she'll just tell the baby that Silvano is her father. Mayrita
gets upset at the idea of such a lie because God doesn't like it when you lie
(the little girl's smarter than the big girl, huh??) while Rosaura insists the
baby would never know it's a lie because she would make her believe that
Silvano is her real, and only daddy. Then Rosaura says maybe she'll never get
her baby back.
Silvano tells Leo not to worry, he
won't say a word, he'll talk to his mother after leaving Leo at Rosaura's
house. Leo is happy with this idea.Rosaura sends Mayrita to bed. LM gets home
and Eduarda's waiting, scolding him because he isn't paying enough attention to
Marifea, who needs it. LM doesn't pay any attention to Eduarda, either and
starts to go to his room when Eduarda suddenly asks him about Silvano and his
relationship with 'la salvaje". LM replies that he thinks that Silvano
cares for her. Left alone, Eduarda admits to herself that she finds Silvano
attractive.
Rosaura walks through her house and
meets up with Samuel. They start to talk and Rosaura confesses that this house
must be cursed because in it she was very unhappy with LM, lost her first baby and
now this baby.
Eduarda wakes up Marifea to tell her
that LM's finally home.
Rosy goes into her room, while Samuel
opens the door for Silvano, Leobardo and the baby. Samuel wants to know where
Silvano found the baby, and calls Rosaura to advise her that Silvano's
downstairs with a baby and she runs downstairs, asking if it's her baby. She
gets to the living room and asks Silvano where he found her, if this is her
baby.
LM is showering and thinking about
where his baby could possibly be. Marifea tells Eduarda that maybe LM was in a
bar drinking with Gabriel, but they must have been talking about Rosaura; she
wonders if he will ever be able to forget her. Marifea thinks that as long as
she fakes blindness and the baby stays lost, LM and Rosaura will never get back
together.
Rosaura keeps asking hysterically if
the baby is her daughter and finally Silvano tells her no, she's Leo's sister.
Rosaura cries and asks Silvano to let her hold the baby. Once in her arms,
Rosaura starts cooing at the baby and then asks Silvano what he's supposed to
be doing with this baby. SIlvano doesn't answer. LM gets out of the shower and
is putting shaving cream on his face when Rosaura's face appears in the mirror.
He wonders if she's thinking of him right now as he's thinking of her. Samuel
tells Rosaura that Leo is in the kitchen with Panchita who's preparing some
warm milk for him. Rosaura says to Silvano that they should do something for
the kids if it's true that their mother beats Leo. (It seems Silvano confessed
this).Silvano says he will go and talk to Leo's mother about this. He asks
Rosaura to look after the kids while he talks to Sonia. Rosaura agrees.
Silvano goes to Sonia's house and
asks her to speak with him. In her house, Rosaura enters her bedroom with Angeliquita
in her arms, puts her down on the bed and tells her that she's stolen her heart
and how she wishes that she were her baby, and keeps cooing all over her.
Sonia comes out to talk to Silvano
and wants to know what he wants from her. Without any beating around the bush,
Silvano informs her that mistreating a minor is a criminal offense in this
country and asks her who gave her the right to beat a child with a belt. Sonia
opens her eyes wide with fright.
Panchita's half-asleep and complains
that they woke her up. But then she wants to know what's going on and since Leo
doesn't want to tell her anything, she takes away his glass of milk and drinks
it herself.
Sonia defends herself by saying she
doesn't hit anyone, but Silvano accuses her of lying, that he just found the
boy running away with his sister. Sonia says it's just the boy's imagination,
that Leobardo has a good imagination and made it all up. Silvano insists that
the boy didn't invent anything and that if he brings charges against her not only
will she lose custody of her kids, she will also go to jail.
The old lady gets very frightened and
begs Silvano not to report her daughter to the authorities. Silvano asks about
the kids' father. Sonia and her mother exchange frightened looks.
In her room, Rosaura is chatting with
Leo and tells him that he's got a very pretty baby sister. She wants to know if
his mother doesn't love Angeliquita, if she misteates the baby the way she
mistreats him. The boy says that no, she doesn't, because she doesn't love the
baby, either. Rosaura then asks why and the boy hesitates and finally says that
the baby is not his mother's child.
Rosaura is confounded by this news!
RACKEL'S SUMMARY IN ENGLISH 1/21/03

Surprised, Rosaura asks Leo if he's
sure that his mother isn't Angeliquita's mother...and if that's true, who is
the baby's mother?
Gabriel and Minerva meet at a bar and
he asks her what she plans to do with her life. She has no idea, she doesn't
want to think about it. Gabriel proposes that she take care of his son.
Leo lies and says that Angeliquita IS
his mother's baby, but when she cries his mother gets nervous and yells at her.
Rosaura wonders how anyone could yell at such a beautiful baby; she hugs her
and cuddles her.
Luis Mario, sitting on the sofa at
his apt, is remembering Rosaura and the day they said goodbye with a long kiss.
...Marifea interrupts his train of thought by sitting down next to him and
draping herself all over him, saying he smells nice. He says he just took a
bath. She asks him to kiss her, he kisses her on the forehead which makes her
mad and she says so; she can't understand why he rejects her advances. LM
replies that he's just a passing fancy for her, and anyway he will never be
able to fall in love with her. She gets to her feet and states that it's not
just a passing fancy on her part, sits back down, takes his hands and tells him
she's in love with him.
Panchita and Samuel are talking in
the kitchen; she makes fun of Leobardo's name and also asserts that Rosaura has
a screw loose,Samuel scolds her. Panchita wonders where Rosaura's baby is.
Leobardo is scared, thinking that his
mother will give him a good beating when he goes back home, but Rosaura tells
him not to worry, that Silvano went to talk to her and he won't let his mother
mistreat him. Leobardo smiles, relieved. Sonia tells Silvano that her husband
abandoned her years ago and he then asks her how she managed to have a baby
recently if her husband's been gone so long? Sonia lies, saying that she and
her husband 'Sergio" almost reconciled last year and that's how she got
pregnant, but he left again when he found out. Silvano says he wants to talk to
this "Sergio" but Sonia says that would be impossible because he
disappeared and probably went to Tijuana and she has no way to contact him.
Silvano then says he wants to talk about Leobardo because he thinks her mistreatment
of her son is wrong. Sonia shouts that she doesn't mistreat him, but sometimes
he needs strong discipline. So then Silvano lectures her on how to care for
children.
Gabriel and Minerva are still
discussing his baby and she tells him she dreamed about having Max's children.
Gabriel suggests that life is giving the chance to be a mother to his son.
Finally Minerva agrees to take care of his baby, on the condition that he
doesn't talk about love with her any more. Gabriel accepts, (but says to
himself that he will win her heart again, because he loves her and wants her to
be a mother for his son).
Karina can't sleep so she gets up and
gets a drink of water. MJ hears her and also gets up to see what's going on.
Karina confesses that she is very worried and upset and wants to know the
outcome of the tests. MJ tells her to think positive and smile at life. That
she needs to forget about her unhappy love for Max. Rosaura tells Leo that if
he's sleepy he can rest on her bed, but the boy doesn't want to, he's nervous
and is waiting for Silvano to return to find out if his mother will punish him
or not.
Silvano bids goodbye to Sonia and her
Mama, with a final warning: if she beats Leobardo again, he will report her to
the police. The old lady is very frightened and begs him not to report her
daughter to the police, she'l make sure that Sonia doesn't punish him
anymore...Sonia interrupts to say that she also promises not to mistreat the
boy any more. Sonia asks where her kids are, Silvano tells her that they're at
a friend's house. Silvano leaves and the old lady cries...Sonia turns around to
look at her and goes close to her, grabs her by the arms and screams at her
that this situation is all her fault, because she became friends with this guy.
The old lady says that she's told Sonia many times not to hit the boy. Sonia
retorts that it's better she keep her mouth shut because she'll forget she's
her mother and threatens to hit her...Sonia goes off to her room, leaving the
old lady crying by herself.
Jimena can't sleep and thinks about
her pollito. She doesn't know that Ivan is also thinking of her at that moment.
She calls Ivan's house, he answers the phone, but there's no one on the other
end: but Jimena doesn't dare say a word, and hangs up.
Silvano gets back to Rosaura's house
where Panchita greets him. Samuel says he'll call Rosaura, but Panchita says he
should go get her so she can pay homage to the ultra-mega-triple-super-papito.
Rosaura enters with the kids and
tells Panchita her presence isn't required right now and sends her off to the
kitchen.
Silvano reassures Leo that his mother
won't mistreat him again, because he spoke to her and she's waiting for him at
home with his grandmother. Rosaura asks why the kids couldn't sleep over and
Silvano tells her that isn't possible and she should know better than to ask.
He takes the baby and leaves with the kids. Rosaura watches them go and sighs.
The next day LM and Mercedes go to
Rosaura's house as she's leaving for the agency. She opens the door to them and
greets them. Mercedes and Samuel leave them to talk alone. LM tells her that he
again wanted to ask her to go with him to the park to meet the baby he was
talking about, that she's Leo's sister. Then Rosaura tells him that the baby
and the boy were at her house the night before because Silvano brought them
over.
Mayrita and Leo are at school and
chat about last night's events. Leo complains that Panchita is hateful, she
served him a glass of milk and then took it away and drank it herself. He tells
Mayrita he's thought of a good way to punish her.
Gabriel calls Minerva and asks her
how her baby-sitting's going.
Minerva tells him that the baby is a
sweetie and isn't giving her any problems. Rosaura finishes telling LM all
about the events of the night before with the kids. LM asks what she thought of
Angeliquita. Rosaura starts to cry and says that when she took the baby in her
arms she thought it was her baby and feels frustrated because she can't express
her motherly feelings, no pain she's suffered in her life has ever been this
bad. She embraces LM and cries on his shoulder. But then she withdraws saying
she doesn't want to be late for work.
Rodrigo visits Karina at the agency.
He brought her a red rose and Karina is pleased. Rosaura gets to the agency's
parking lot and finds her DEAR HUSBAND Patricio waiting for her. Patri greets
her by saying "Finally! We meet again!"
Rosaura demands to know what he's
doing there, and he replies that of course he always knows what she's up
to...since he is still her husband, although she might have forgotten that fact
lately, since he's heard that she flipped out and lost her baby. She wants to
know how he knows all these things, he says he just knows, that's all. Rosaura
tries to go but Patri holds her back and says it's been a long time since
they've seen each other, but he hasn't been able to forget her, because he
still loves her.
Karina thanks Rodrigo for the rose;
he clips it and puts it in her hair and says she looks beautiful!He'll come
back later to take her to the hospital to get the results.Karina says MJ will
also be at the hospital, Rodrigo agrees that's ok, it's time that MJ started to
treat him with a little less hostility. He leaves a happy Karina with a rose
behind her ear. Guillermo and Jimena are breakfasting at a restaurant and he's
talking about the kids they will have one day, but Jimena gets very sad and
tells him she will never have any more kids because she has not forgotten her
first baby and is terrified that she might have another abnormal baby, so she
never wants to have any more! LM tells Gabriel that Silvano took the baby to
Rosaura and he's very upset about it. Patricio informs Rosaura that he wants
her to come back to the house tol live with him...Rosaura's reply: "Over
my dead body, and not even then!"
Patri says he wants to see her return
to her former self, 'gata salvaje" tough and proud. He asks her if she got
back together with LM or chose to be Silvano's girlfriend. She answers that she
did neither, because all she wants is to find her missing baby. Patri mocks her
and mentions how things have changed. She used to be only interested in her
revenge. Rosaura says that that's why she lost her daughter. Patri offers to
help her find the baby, but Rosaura refuses his help. Meanwhile, Anais comes
out of the agency and sees them talking. Rosaura asks Patri again to give her a
divorce, but he just laughs at her. Rosaura goes into the office and Patricio
wonders what she would do if she knew that he knows who is keeping her
daughter.
Anais goes directly to Silvano's
office and tells him that she just saw Rosaura talking with a man in the
parking lot. She describes him and Silvano concludes that it can only be
Patricio Rivera.
Jimena asks Guillermo to take her to
the cemetary to lay flowers on her baby's grave. Rosaura finds Karina in the
office and tells her that Patricio came looking for her and asked her to go
back to him, but she told him no. Karina advise her not to be an idiot and if
she finally gets free of him one day, she should not reject Silvano,who is most
suitable for her since LM hasn't been able to divorce her silly half-sister Eva
and evenif he did, he's chained to Marifea. Rosaura confesses that each time
she and LM meet, they end up kissing. Silvano compliments Luisana, telling her
that the agency is very proud of her. They start talking about Rosaura and
Silvano tells her that Anais informed him that she was seen talking to
Patricio, but he hopes that one day she decides to fall in love with him.
Luisana says that all Rosaura thinks of is her baby, and very frankly tells
Silvano that in her opinion, Rosaura will never forget about her cousin LM. (I
got the impression that Luisana was upset by Silvano's interest in Rosaura...is
Luisana falling in love with him??).
Jimena and Guillermo are at the
baby's gravesite and Jimena implores his forgiveness and cries.
Camelia asks Patricio if he saw
Rosaura and he confirms he did. Camelia then tells him that she's sure that he
rejected him again.
Patri states that his intention is to
separate her from both LM and Silvano and Bonbon says the only way to do that
is to kill her! Patricio says that isn't an option because then he wouldn't
have her either - all he wants to do is get her away from those two!
Silvano tells Rosaura that he's been
told that she was seen talking in the parking lot with Patricio and he wants to
know what's going on. She replies that Patricio wanted her to go back to him
but she refused for two reasons: 1) because he's the man she hates most in the
world, and 2) because if one day she decides to start a new life, she would
like to be with Silvano. Hearing this, Silvano smiles, very pleased.
Jimena is still crying over her
baby's grave when Guillermo decides that they must go because she's suffering
too much, he embraces her and tries to console her. Ivan arrives at that
precise moment and is upset by their "demostrations of love" in a
totally inappropriate place. They start arguing and Ivan tells them they're
immoral and tries to hit Guillermo, but Jimena shouts at them not to fight
since it's neither the right place nor the right time, and tells Guillermo that
they better go, takes his hand and leaves Ivan super-angry.
Eva visits LM at the office again and
proposes laying a trap for Marifea to prove that she's faking blindness.
Back at the apt, Eduarda and Marifea
are laughing and Eduarda says they're really going to have some fun now...she
picks up the phone and starts dialing, as Marifea reminds her to disguise her
voice as best she can. At the agency, Rosaura answers the phone, it's Eduarda
disguising her voice (while Marifea can't control her laughter) Eduarda tells
Rosaura that the her missing baby...IS DEAD!!

Rosaura asks who's speaking and how
do they know that her baby is dead? Eduarda answers that all she needs to know
is that the baby died and that she should dress in black and observe mourrning
for a year. Rosaura, desperate, says it's a lie. Eduarda and Marifea explode in
a fit of laughter and Eduarda finally says that her baby is dead, very dead,
and still laughing, hangs up. Rosuara yells out "who is speaking?" At
that moment Karina arrives, Rosaura tells her what happened and Karina tells
her to calm down, that whoever called must be one of her enemies (she lists all
of them down to the last one) who did it to upset her. Rosaura begins to calm
down a little and says to Karina, that's she's right, because her heart says
that her baby is ok.
Meanwhile, back at their apt.,
Eduarda and Marifea are gloating over what they did to Rosaura. Eduarda says
that the "salvaje" was frightened and was crying, she serves herself
a drink and they toast, then Marifea says that she has to go buy a very
enticing and sexy babydoll nightgown to seduce LM, so she asks Eduarda to let
her borrow her car. Eduarda warns her that it's very dangerous for her to go
out alone because LM might find out (and why didn't she offer to go with
her,since she spends all day doing nothing??)
However, Marifea replies that LM's in
the office all day and he'll never find out that she went out.
At the agency, Rosaura is still a
little nervous, and Karina advises her that's she's better off going home.
Rosaura thinks that's a good idea, so she says she'll ask Silvano for the
afternoon off (from what I see, she's not working all that hard!). Karina says
that won't be necessary, just go and she'll tell Silvano what happened. Rosaura
leaves and Karina gets a call from MJ who says that she'll be passing by later
to take her to the hospital. When Karina says that Rodrigo will take her to the
hospital, MJ gets upset and starts talking badly of him, but Karina asks her
not to do that because Rodrigo has behaved so well with her. MJ agrees that he
can accompany her but only this time, and she also tells her not to worry, that
the results will be good.
At LM's office, Eva keeps trying to
make LM believe that Marifea can see, but LM doesn't want to believe it and
says that if Marifea is blind, he'll find a way to prove it, but to do that he
doesn't need to ally himself with her, because he wants nothing to do with her,
he only wants her to give him the divorce. Eva says she can't understand why he
lets this mangy model make fun of him, because she's not blind!
A very happy Marifea is driving down
the street when a car draws up next to her at a light, and the driver is none
other but Rosaura!
Upon seeing her, Rosaura shouts out
"Maribella!" and when Marifea realizes that it's Rosaura, she gets
scared and goes through the red light! Rosaura's very surprised to see her
driving.
At the Hacienda, Mayrita arrives with
a box in her hands and Cruz asks her what she got in there. Mayrita says it's a
small present for Panchita and goes off singing. Cruz is left feeling very
confused, wondering why Mayrita would give Panchita a gift.
Panchita's in the kitchen with the
parrot and singing happily,but the parrot interrupts her and Panchita gets
angry with him. Mayrita comes in and Panchita says that the quiet is over, and
all she hopes is that Mayrita's alone, without her little friend, the
'Leopard'.
Mayrita tells her that even though
she was very nasty to her friend and didn't give him his glass of milk, he sent
her a present.
Panchita is very happy when Mayrita
gives her the box and thinks it's a pair of shoes, but she starts screaming
like a maniac when she realizes that inside there's only a frog! And she
screams even louder when the frog jumps on her, she yells for help with all the
air in her lungs, while Mayrita and the parrot enjoy the show.
LM and Eva are still talking, with
Eva insisting that Marifea is tricking him. LM starts with his counterargument,
reminding her of her own tricks with his "son" and all that. Eva is
ready to leave, totally furious, when Rosaura arrives and gets hysterical. Eva
decides not to leave until she finds out what "la salvaje" is doing
there. Rosaura tells LM that she came to tell him something she just
discovered: Marifea is NOT blind! Eva smiles triumphantly.
Adriana is visiting Imanol at the
hospital, he's still thanking her for being so nice to him and she takes the
opportunity to ask him to stop using drugs and gives Jimena as an example of
someone who managed to rehabilitate themselves, he can do the same. Imanol
confesses that he is in love with her, but Adriana says she could never be in
love with him.
LM asks Rosy where she saw Marifea,
and she answers: "Even if you won't believe it, I saw her on the street,
driving a car." Eva tells LM that she was also telling the truth and she
hopes that he will believe it, but LM tells her to be quiet and calls the apt.
asking for Marifea. Eduarda nervously replies that she can't come to the phone
because she's taking a bath. LM asks her if she's able to do that by herself.
Eduarda replies that of course she's capable of taking a bath, being blind
doesn't mean she's crippled and she can do it by herself, then Eduarda helps
her to get dressed.
LM tells her that as soon as
Marifea's out of the tub she should call him. Eduarda wants to know why, but LM
tells her that it's not her business. He hangs up and Eva asks if she didn't
come to the phone. LM says she's taking a bath and Eva, upset, says that
Eduarda is a liar and that's she's just covering for Marifea. LM asks Eva to
leave once and for all, and an enfuriated Eva leaves the office. LM apologizes
to Rosaura and asks her to take a seat. He asks her if she's sure of what she
saw, that it was Marifea driving and Rosy says of course she's sure of it. LM
says then it's true that Marifea was faking being blind and now her game is
over. Rosy asks him what he's going to do next and LM says he will get her out
of his life once and for all.
Marifea arrives hysterical at the
apt. and Eduarda tells her that LM called and sounded very strange. Marifea
tells her about seeing Rosaura at a red light and that for sure she already
went to tattle to LM. Eduarda says that it's probably exactly what she did, and
tells her that she lied saying that Marifea was in the bathroom. Marifea is
very frightened that her lie is about to be discovered.
At the Hacienda, Rosy tells her Aunt
Claudia that she saw Marifea driving a car, but Claudia asks her if she's sure
it was Marifea. That upsets Rosaura, who says that she certainly must be
thinking that she's gone crazy again, just like when she lost the baby, but
even if nobody will believe her, she's sure she saw Marifea driving, and she's
not blind!
Panchita is still hysterical in the
kitchen telling Caridad and Samuel what happened with the frog and they all die
laughing and tell her that everything happens to her! Bruno comes in and says
he left the frog at the waterfall. Panchita starts smelling her hair and says
it stinks of frog-dinosaur and she's taking a 3-hour bath, as she goes out,
Bruno, Caridad and Samuel explode with laughter.
LM goes to the apt. and Eduarda tells
him he's home early. He asks for Marifea and Eduarda tells him she's in her
room. LM walks toward the room and Eduarda takes him by the arm and asks what
he wants to talk to her about, LM shakes her off and just gives her a look. He
doesn't say anything and goes into the room, where Marifea is seated on the
bed. He tells her that he's discovered her lie because Rosaura told him she saw
her driving down the street. Marifea replies that Rosy's crazy. LM tells her to
stop faking it, that Rosy is not crazy, but Marifea keeps insisting that
Rosaura is crazy because she never left the house, just ask Eduarda. But LM
says that if Eduarda is her alibi, she won't serve any purpose, because he
wouldn't believe her. Marifea starts sobbing, insisting that Rosy's nuts and
starts repeating the story of how she abandoned her baby, etc.etc. LM replies
that he is taking her to the specialist and while he says that, he passes his
hand in front of her eyes, but Marifea recovers fast...she manages not to
blink!
Claudia apologizes to Rosy for having
doubted her story about Marifea being able to see. Rosy says that it's logical
not to believe her, since already once she went crazy. Mayrita and Mercedes
arrive and they start talking about Angeliquita and Rosy's lost baby. Mayrita
decides that they should ask Sonia's permission so that Rosy can visit the baby
every day.
Marifea keeps sobbing and keeps
repeating her sob story that if she goes to the doctor they will tell her that
she will never see again, yada-yada-yada, but what REALLY hurts her is that LM
believes Rosaura. Fine, she won't discuss it anymore, she half-turns and she
"hits" against the edge of the bed, she sits down to feel her
injuries while LM is just standing there looking at her, when Eduarda comes in
and asks what happened and runs to help Marifea, who tells her what Rosaura
said to LM, and that he believes her. Eduarda says that's absurd.
Marifea talks about how LM was to
blame for her blindness, and yada-yada-yada, etc. finally saying it would have
been better if she had died. LM tells her to quit playing the tragedy queen
act, that she herself caused the accident. Eduarda tells him she won't let him
talk to her like that, that she feels bad about her condition. LM takes her by
the arm. pulls her close to him and whispers in her ear that he will not permit
her to get involved in something that is not her business, and he hasn't
forgotten that they are not really related. He reminds her that she's in his
house living on his charity and not to forget that fact. Then he goes close to
Marifea and tells her that she will go with him to see a specialist. Marifea
and Eduarda both have looks on their faces like they've just found out that
somebody died. Marifea refuses to go with LM and says that it's unfair of him
to treat her this way. Eduarda intervenes and LM yells at her and asks if she's
deaf and didn't understand what he just said to her, to mind her own business.
Eduarda says it is her business because Marifea is her friend and she won't
allow him to inflict mental abuse on her. LM is so angry he's about to explode
and tells both of them to listen to him carefully: If he finds out that Marifea
is faking it with Eduarda's help, he will throw both of them out of the apt.
Then he looks at Marifea and asks her: Did you hear me, Marifea? Marifea begs
both of them not to fight anymore because of her, maybe it would be better if
she just took her things and left them, even if she has no where to go, maybe
she can do to an assisted living facility but she won't go to a specialist, she
wouldn't be able to bear it. She asks Eduarda to pack up her things. LM just
looks at her and then leaves the room. Once they're alone, Marifea and Eduarda
are very frightened and upset that because of Rosaura, the jig is almost up.
Marifea begs Eduarda to help her avoid going for the test with LM. Eduarda says
she'll try and leaves the room. Marifea is left crying desperately.
Leobardo is chatting with Mayrita and
is very happy about frightening Panchita with the frog, but he has to hang up
because Sonia arrives and tells him very sweetly that they need to have a talk.
She sits him on her lap and says that she loves him and that he's her pride and
joy and starts manipulating him so he won't accuse her before the police if
somebody asks him one day if she ever hit him with a strap because she'd be
taken to jail. Leo gets scared and promises he'll never say anything bad about
her.
Eduarda tries to talk to LM, but even
though he doesn't want to listen, she insists and says that Rosaura invented
the whole story. LM says that he won't be sure until she sees a specialist.
Eduarda asks him not to hurt Marifea, she's not in any condition to go see a
specialist because she's much too sensitive,and he shouldn't listen to the
rantings of a crazy person.
LM shouts that Rosaura is not crazy.
He also tells her that he can't Marifea to the specialist against her will
because above all he is a gentleman, but if she's faking it, they both better
be prepared to learn who Luis Mario Arismendi really is! Minerva visits Rosaura
and they talk about Max and Minerva's suffering after his death. Then they talk
about Rosaura's missing baby and her suffering.
Rosy confides to Minerva that she saw
Marifea driving down the street. Minerva asks if she's certain of that, and
Rosy asks if Minerva also doubts her like her Aunt Claudia did. Minerva
suggests that she take a trip but Rosy says no, she can't stop looking for her
baby.
Rodrigo arrives to pick up Karina,
who tells him she's very nervous. MJ also arrives and says she has a taxi ready
to take them to the hospital. Rodrigo has a car, they argue a bit and finally
Rodrigo says this is a time they all should be united in support of Karina. MJ
agrees and they leave the office together.
Rosaura gets a call from Camelia, who
says she called just to insult her. Which she does, talking of Silvano, Rosaura
says that if she ever wants to start a new life, she'll do it with Silvano, who
will give her a place in his heart and home. Camelia tells her that her only
place in life is that of a servant. Rosy retorts that if she's supposed to be a
maid...then Camelia's role in life would be to be a..a..but she catches herself
and says that she won't say what she should be, because she doesn't want to
dirty herself saying nasty words and just hangs up. Minerva asks why Camelia
called her and Rosy, upset, tells her that she only called to upset her, which
is the only thing that Camelia knows how to do!
At the doctor's office, Karina is
super nervous, the nurse comes in and says that the doctor will be with them in
a moment to give them the results.
Minerva leaves Rosaura's house. LM
calls Rosaura and tells her everything that happened with Marifea. Rosaura says
that he should stay with her. LM asks if she no longer cares about him staying
with Marifea. Rosaura tells him he's only the father of her daughter and she
can't think of him as a man. Mercedes arrives to tell her that Silvano's
waiting in the study and asks her to send him away. Rosy tells her that Silvano
has been very good to her and she will see him.
Rosy goes to the study and greets
Silvano. They talk about LM and Rosaura confesses that she still loves him.
Silvano feels bad and asks her to forget about LM, but Rosy tells him she
can't.
Panchita is in the bathroom desperate
to get the smell of frog off her. While she gets into the shower she swears
that Mayrita and 'Leopardo" will pay for what they did.She realizes that
the drain is clogged, and calls for Bruno to fix it.
Silvano keeps insisting that Rosauara
should break the chains that link her to LM and forget him. He gets close to
her and says that he will make her forget LM, then he kisses her tenderly and
Rosaura returns the kiss.
The doctor finally comes into the
office and Karina is more nervous than ever. She asks the doctor what disease
she has, and if it's serious, if she's going to die.....

Silvano advises Rosaura that she
shouldn't get fixated on an impossible love and that she shouldn't feel guilty
about the loss of her baby.He asks her how long she will stay a prisoner of
love for LM and asks her to forget him. He kisses her, assuring her that he
will do everything he can to make her forget LM. She abruptly breaks away from
him and says that he should stop loving her, and he tells her not to ask for
the impossible.
LM's mother asks Silvano to leave the
house and disappear from Rosaura's life. He's shocked by Mercedes'
aggressiveness and wants to know who she thinks she is to say something like
that, doesn't she know how much LM made Rosaura suffer? Silvano yells at her to
mind her own business. Mercedes replies that he is the one interfering between
LM and Rosaura because they are tied to each other by the baby. They argue over
who has more right to have a say in Rosaura's life...Silvano tells her that she
doesn't have to interfere and that LM and Rosaura have been separated for a
long time...Silvano doesn't want to keep arguing with Mercedes and tells
Rosaura that he's leaving, because he's not used to fighting with ladies, and
since Mercedes is after all a lady,he will respect her for that...and he
leaves.
Rosaura, left with Mercedes, wants to
know why she treated Silvano that way because the situation between her and LM
is no longer the same and that she didn't stop loving LM because of Silvano,
but because of other things that happened during her relationship with LM.
Panchita's in the shower and the
drain is clogged, flooding the shower,so she calls for Bruno to fix it. Bruno
comes and tries to help Panchita. Then she says that they should take advantage
of the opportunity and pushes Bruno into the shower so they can take a bath
together, she slides the door back to close it, they grapple and the faucet
breaks and the door won't open, so we'll see what happens. The water keeps
flowing, it's up to their knees and the two of them are trying to open the door
and get out.
At the hospital, Karina is waiting
for the results of her tests, the doctors worriedly tells her that she has a
very grave illness...that her blood is affected. Everyone is shocked and
saddened by the news.
Karina asks her what type of illness
she has, and what are its effects... the doctor explains to them that Karina
has "acute neoplasic leukemia" and that it is a common illness among
young people, but Karina has an advanced case and unfortunately, it is
incurable. Karina and her mother cry over her sad fate. Karina cries while her
mother asks the doctor if she can be saved. The doctor says there's not much
hope of that, because time is against them since the illness is at an advanced
stage...in other words, only a miracle can save her.
The old lady is with her grandson and
he wants to know why his mother doesn't love him and always hits him...the old
lady tries to justify her daughter's behavior...the boy says that they should
give the baby back so that she can grow up happy...and that he would be very
happy if Rosaura was her mother and Silvano or LM was her father...
LM is with a police officer trying to
locate his baby. The officer tells him to be patient, that they're trying to do
their best to find the baby.
Panchita is hugging Bruno tightly and
he tells her she's taking advantage of him (hahaha it was funny) they try to
open the shower door but they both fall, and the water is already up to their
waists....it looked like a 6x6 pool they fell into!
Bruno takes off his shirt and goes
under trying to stop the flow, but it doesn't work, the water keeps rising and
it's up to their necks. Panchita takes advantage of the situation the whole
time...Bruno asks her if she knows how to pray and tells to start praying, she
cries and he says not to cry because they already have enough water, haha. Panchita
grabs him, kisses him and embraces him..he reacts and tells her that they're
going to drown...he asks her to let go of him but she begs him to let her die
happy!
Mercedes is at the hospital and
Adriana notices that she's angry and asks her why...Mercedes tells her about
the disagreement she had with Silvano and tells her all the nasty things he
said to her. Then she threatens to tell LM what happened, but her niece asks
her to avoid provoking a confrontation between the two men.
Panchita asks Bruno to help her get
up so she can get out from the top but because she's heavy she can't make it
and she falls, they're getting desperate and yelling for Samuel...Panchita says
she wants to die happy and that he should stop talking so much and take
advantage of the moment...
LM talks to Rosaura about their love
and the disagreement his mother had with Silvano..then they kiss passionately
while Marifea watches them, hidden behind the garden door...Marifea is very
upset watching them kiss....Rosaura tells LM that's enough and he asks her why
stop? That he can go to her room but she tells him no, that she doesn't want to
make love with him because she is worried about the baby. LM leaves, rather
upset....
Panchita says she wasn't born to be a
fish when the parrot appears and laughs and insults her...Bruno asks the parrot
to go find help and the parrot says he'll only do it for him. Panchita proposes
to Bruno that while they're waiting to be saved they could pass the time by
kissing....she starts kissing him but Bruno is upset and tells her to leave him
in peace....
Back at Karina's house, everyone is
sad and she asks God why her life has always been so bad, why did He do this to
her and she begs Him not to let her die....
Gabriel is dining with Minerva and
thanks her for how well she's taking care of his son. They both remember Max
and she is sad...they change the subject and talk about Rosaura's situation
with her baby.....
Karina is lying on her bed when MJ
comes in to console her. They discuss what the doctor said. MJ tries to cheer
her up by saying that she refuses to accept this as real. They cry some
more...MJ says they have to fight against the disease, Karina is pessimistic
and thinks that what happened is her punishment from God for having been so
evil and ambitious.
Ivan finds Rodrigo crying in the
living room. Rodrigo tells him what happened to Karina. Ivan is shocked and
incredulous at what he hears...then he gets up and runs into the room to ask
Karina, she tells him and they embrace and cry together. Ivan says that
something must be done, that it's not possible that there is nothing they can
do to save her...Karina says that they can't fool her and she knows she's going
to die.Rodrigo says that Rosaura will give her entire fortune to save her...
Everybody is at the bathroom,
Panchita is hugging and kissing Bruno in front of Luisana and says that they
can repeat the experience anytime they want. Bruno tries to explain the
situation to Luisana, but she tells him she doesn't care what he does.
Karina is depressed, alone in her
room. She decides to commit suicide by ingesting a lot of pills to end her life
and avoid making everyone sad seeing her destroyed by her illness. She takes
the bottle and takes a handful of pills, then another handful...will she die?
We'll find out tomorrow!

Leobardo's in his living room with
Angeliquita when Silvano arrives to pay them a visit and find out how their
mother is treating them.
Leobardo says that after his talk
with his mother, she is treating him better. He adds that he would have liked
to have a daddy like him or like LM. Leo confides to Silvano that he has a
secret to tell him, but before he can, Sonia arrives.
Back at the hacienda, the dinner
discussion is about what Mercedes said to LM about Silvano's visit to Rosaura.
Mayrita asks Rosaura to marry LM again, but she replies that that's impossible.
Marifea returns to the apt and reports to Eduarda that she saw LM and Rosuara
kissing and she's very upset about it! Eduarda tells her that it was very
unwise of her to go out alone, that someone else might have seen her. MF says
that was the least of her concerns: she's just exploding with rage at seeing
them kissing like that. Sonia asserts to Silvano that in her house, the kids
only get love, tons of it. Silvano is relieved to hear this, while Leo stares
at his mom with a "What's up with her?" look on his face.
MF hears LM arrive and arranges
herself on the sofa, when he arrives she asks him where he way and LM lies to
her, saying that he was at the office.
MF asks him to take her out to
dinner, but LM refuses because he's very tired. Then MF says that he's just
ashamed to be seen in public with a blind woman. LM sits next to her and asks
her how she can say such a thing?? MF switches tactics and suggests that they
order dinner in to have a relaxing delicious dinner, since she's sure Eduarda
won't mind staying discreetly in her room. LM refuses again, and adds that he
has an infernal headache and all he wants to do is go into his room and close
the door. Mf ends up like this :( (which makes me :)
At the Hacienda, Ivan tells Cruz and
Claudia about Karina's illness and that he came to tell Rosaura. Cruz says this
is another terrible blow for her poor granddaughter. Claudia says in any case
Rosaura has to be told and tells Ivan to go with her to Rosaura's room. As they
start going, Jimena comes in and asks Ivan what he's doing there. Ivan tells
her not to think that he came to see her, and leaves with Claudia. Cruz asks
Jimena if she wants to get back together with Ivan and she says no. Cruz hugs
her.
Camelia and Patri are dining and she
asks him if he's still thinking about Rosaura,, since he hasn't mentioned her
or sought her out.
Patri replies that he's still
interested, but he's biding his time because he knows that Rosy and LM can't
get back together.
Camelia asks him if he's not afraid
of Rosaura falling in love with Silvano, Patri says no, because as long as the
baby is still missing,
Rosaura won't be thinking about any
man. And since she'll never find her brat, she will never be able to be happy
with a man.
Camelia insists that this is not a
sufficient punishment - they have to think of something else to make her even
more unhappy. Rodrigo tells MJ that he will leave so he won't bother her, but
MJ says that he doesn't have to go..she thanks him for being so good to Karina.
Rodrigo thanks her for the kind words, then he asks if he can go and say
goodbye to Karina. But he can't get into her room because the door is
locked.They start yelling for Karina to open the door, but she can't listen to
them, she's lying on the floor as if she was dead. In her room Rosaura receives
Ivan and Claudia who tells her that Ivan came to bring bad news. Then Ivan
tells her about Karina's incurable illness, which is a death sentence for her.
Since Karina didn't answer his calls,
Rodrigo kicks in the door and they find her there on the floor. Rodrigo takes
her in his arms and puts her on the bed,saying to MJ that she seems dead. MJ
screams and cries that it can't be true!
MJ asks Karina what happened, trying
to wake her when Rodrigo realizes that she took a bunch of pills and MJ gets
hysterical and screams and tries to make Karina move. Rodrigo takes her pulse
and says she's still alive, MJ runs to the phone to call the ambulance.Rosaura
cries and says that she can't believe what's happening to Karina, another
terrible blow for her after losing her baby. She tells Ivan to take her to
Karina. At Patri's house, Griselda tells them that she's afraid that Rosaura
will remember giving birth in the house and realize that they were all involved
in her kidnapping. Camelia says that if she hasn't figured it out after all
these weeks after the birth, it's unlikely she'll start to remember now.
Camelia adds that she's very happy that the baby's gone missing far away from
her parents. This makes Patri sad remembering that he also grew up separated
from his parents. Camelia begs him not to get sentimental and ridiculous about
his childhood. Patri gets angry and avers that these things mark a person for
life. The he says he's sorry and wonders who could be his mother..maybe he'll
never find out.
At LM's apt, he's with Mercedes and a
detective who is updating them on the search for the missing older son.
Unfortunately, no progress has been made in the case. The investigator asks her
to recall her father's friends and relations to help identify the place her
father sent her son. He leaves and Mercedes starts to cry. LM hugs her and says
that they have to be patient and confesses that he now understands her pain
because he's going through the same thing with his missing baby.
At the hacienda, Jimena, Luisana,
Cruz and Claudia are discussing Karina's illness. The phone rings, Luisana
answers, and learns what happened to Karina.
At MJ's house, Caridad is crying
while telling Bruno that the ambulance just took away Karina. Ivan and Rosaura
show up and ask what happened, and Caridad and Bruno tell them that Karina
attempted suicide and the ambulance just took her to the hospital.
As they leave, Rosaura gets a call
from Silvano, asking if he can be with her. Rosy tells him that Karina tried to
commit suicide and they're on their way to the hospital and thanks Silvano for
his concern. She hangs up and leaves with Ivan, as Caridad and Bruno ask to be
kept informed of the situation.
At the Hacienda, Jimena asks Luisana
if she's sure LM should be told. Luisana says yes, he should know what's going
on and calls him to give him the news. LM thanks her and says that he will
leave immediately to be at Rosy's side. Mercedes asks if something happened to
her and LM says he'll tell her on the way.
At the hospital, MJ is crying
desperately and hoping that the drs have managed to save Karina's life. Rodrigo
asserts that Karina decided to speed up her death after she heard the
diagnosis. MJ says she's very frightened for her daughter while Rodrigo
embraces her and tries to console her, telling her while there's life, there's
hope. MJ says she doesn't want her daughter to die, not now, not later.
Patricio tells Camelia that maybe Griselda is right, maybe Rosaura can remember
something.
Camelia tells him not to ill-wish
himself with these kinds of thoughts and Patri replies that it's a possibility.
And if Rosy remembers, all of them will go to jail. Camelia says she'd prefer
death to being in jail with evil and murderous women. Patricio asks her if
these ladies could be more evil than they are. Camelia asks him to change the
subject and suggests a night of wild passion, but Patricio rejects her, saying
he's not in the mood. Camelia accuses him of thinking about Rosaura. Then she
switches tactics, throws him on the bed and gets on top of him asking him to
forget about Rosy for a minute and make love to her as passionately as he used
to. Finally, Patricio is persuades and they start kissing. Caridad and Bruno
are about to leave when LM arrives and Caridad updates him on the latest
tragedy. LM decides to go to the hospital to be by Rosy's side but Bruno tells
him not to, because his presence will only make Rosy feel worse. LM stares him
straight in the eyes and says that Bruno is nobody to tell him what to do and
leaves. At the hospital, the dr tells everyone that Karina arrived just in time
for a stomach pump that saved her life. Cruz asks the chauffer to go pick up
Mayrita at a friend's house. Then she tells Claudia that the little girl
shouldn't know anything about Karina's situation. Cruz also hopes that Karina's
illness will teach MJ that all her children are important. Claudia replies that
Mayrita sees Rosy as her mother and that's why she never asks for MJ.
Meanwhile, Mayrita and her friend are playing hide-and-seek on the beach. As
Mayrita hides, La Loca de la Playa ("The Beach Lunatic" in mt's
translation) appears. Mayrita is scared so the Beach Lunatic reveals her
identity: it's Mercedes.
Ivan and Rosaura arrive at the
hospital and Ivan leaves her alone to go see where Karina is, and Silvano
arrives, offering all possible support to Rosaura. He hugs her and LM arrives
and becomes immediately jealous. He tells Rosaura that she shouldn't take
advantage of the difficult situation to get hugs from Silvano. Silvano tells
him that this is neither the time nor the place for his stupid jealousies. LM
gets angry because he thinks Silvano is calling him STUPID and they start
hitting each other. Rosaura intervenes between them but they continue to argue
and accuse each other, until Ivan arrives and has to interfere to separate
them.
Then he tells Rosaura which room
Karina's in,Silvano wants to go with her but LM jumps out first and goes with
her. Silvano is held back by OIvan, who asks him to try to avoid a
confrontation because it's not a good time. Silvano says he's sorry. Mayrita
and Mercedes are talking on the beach and the teacher tells her story. She asks
the child not to tell anyone that she walks on the beach at night because then
they might think she's crazy for real.
Mayrita promises to keep quiet.
LM scolds Rosaura for letting Silvano
embrace her - he's fed up with the fact that all the men that get near her fall
in love with her (I think a lot of us think the same thing!!). He accuses her
of being a flirt that causes men to fall in love with her. Rosaura retorts that
she won't let him insult her that way, let alone here, where her sister...LM
interrupts her and says that if Karina was so important for her, she'd be with
her and not getting hugged by Silvano. He asks Rosaura to send Silvano away.
Rosaura refuses, saying that it's a public place and besides, Silvano is a good
friend, respectful, concerned about Karina, not like LM, who since he arrived
has not asked about Karina's health, so therefore he is the one who should
leave. Rosaura enters Karina's room to find MJ sobbing, saying that if Karina
dies she wants to die too. Rosy reminds her that she has 2 other children to
give her mother love to, since she's never loved them before. Silvano and Ivan
come into the room and Rodrigo asks Ivan to take MJ home. At first, she
refuses, but then she allows Rosaura to spend the night watching over Karina.
Before leaving, MJ thanks Rosy for taking care of Karina "as if she were
really your sister". Rosy replies that Karina HAS ALWAYS BEEN her sister.
LM is in the hospital cafeteria having a coffee thinking about Rosaura, saying
to himselt that she's a born flirt.
Meanwhile, back at the Hacienda, MF
and Eduarda arrive under cover of night. Eduarda tells MF her plan is very
dangerous. MF says she's aware of that but she wants to take revenge on Rosy
for having kissed LM. The two of them sneak into Rosaura's room. MF is carrying
a red box in her hands, and says that she'll hide her "present" in
the bathroom.
Eduarda is supernervous and tells her
to hurry up before somebody finds them. MF comes out of the bathroom says that
she left her "present" and the two women run out of the house. 03 FRID

After leaving their present for
Rosaura, MF and Eduarda escape quickly from the Hacienda, jump into the car and
leave.MJ and Ivan arrive home and she can't stop crying, telling Ivan that she
is very afraid of losing Karina. Ivan consoles her and MJ admits that she has
been a bad mother for him and Mayrida but that she was always more focused on
Karina because she was the product of her great love for Rafael. MJ cries and
swears that if Karina dies, she will die of grief. Ivan tells her miracles do
happen and that science makes discoveries every day,not to despair. MJ says
that if life wanted to punish her for being so evil, she should have been
punished directly and not Karina. MJ apologizes to Ivan for being a bad mother.
Ivan consoles her and tells her that he loves her very much. They hug.
MF and Eduarda arrive back at the
apt., delighted that they have given Rosaura a major fright. Eduarda then
advises MF to go to her room just in case LM shows up. MF leaves and Eduarda
pours herself a drink and says that she would enjoy nothing better than to see
Rosaura go completely crazy.
Rosaura arrives home and tells
everybody about Karina's condition. Claudia suggests that she go to bed and
rest after having been up all night in the hospital she must be very tired.
Rosaura decides she wants to take a
wam bath. Claudia says she'll tell Panchito to help her. Rosy goes to her room
and Caridad comments to Cruz that it seems that God has abandoned them, because
this house lately has only seen tragedies. Panchita goes to Rosy's room and
says she's there to help her bathe. Rosy says she'll run the water, just get her
clothes.
Panchita obeys and Rosaura is about
to get into the bathtub, but as she does, she sees 2 spiders and runs out
screaming to Panchita, who sees them and also starts screaming.
They run out of the bathroom while
Rosaura asks Panchita to get Bruno to kill the spiders. Hearing the women's
screams, everybody comes running into Rosy's room to find out what's the matter
and Rosy tells them there are enormous spiders in her bathroom!
Everybody is wondering how the
spiders got in, Samuel says he will go see and Caridad warns him to be careful,
that they might be poisonous.Samuel goes into the bathroom anyway and Caridad
comments that he's a brave man, as Panchita comes running in with Bruno, who
also goes into the bathroom despite Caridad's fears. Panchita tries to reassure
her. The women are all frightened when Bruno comes out and confirms he killed
them. Claudia orders Panchita to get a broom and sweep up the critters, but
Panchita swears she won't do it. Samuels says he will do it and Panchita thanks
him while Rosaura keeps asking how the spiders got there and Bruno tries to
calm her down, they're in the country and these things can happen.
Rodrigo and Karina are in the
hospital discussing her illness and the treatment options they can choose to
try to save her.
Rodrigo tells her that a bone marrow
transplant may save her life and he's ready to be the donor to save her because
she's his reason for living. the only woman he's ever loved and he will do
anything to save her. Karina replies that she never expected so much from him,
but Rodrigo assures her that she can only expect these things from him because
no one else loves her like he does.
Rosaura's in her room, lying on her
bad, feeling very tired.
LM meets Leo's grandmother in the
park and asks about the baby.
At the Spa, Carlos pays a visit to
Patricio, who wants to know what he's come for, since he wasn't summoned.
Carlos says he was sent by Sonia, to ask for more money due to extra expenses
incurred for the baby. Patricio can't understand since Sonia had asked for
money after Carlos had told her to do so. He tells Carlos he's playing dirty
and is a traitor.
Carlos laughs and says that they're
two of a kind, two wiseguys from the streets. Patri says he won't give him
another dine. Carlos retorts that if the money stops coming, he and Sonia will
squeal. They exchange threats, until Patricio loses his temper completely and
hits Carlos, who grabs him by the neck and starts choking him. Camelia arrives
and takes stock of the situation instantly, grabbing a flower vase and bopping
Carlos hard on his head making him fall on the floor,stunned.
In her room, Rosaura is having a
nightmare and remembers the moment she gave birth to her daughter. She wakes up
still afraid and says that this woman, who helped deliver her baby, must be the
one holding her. Rosaura cries,saying that she's sure that this woman must be
keeping her baby.
At the Spa, Camelia asks Patricio if
he's ok. He tells her about Carlos' and Sonia's intentions. Camelia is
afraid,the situation is very serious for them. Patricio picks up Carlos from
the floor and Camelia yells for him to throw Carlos out of the Spa.
Patricio throws him out, but not
before Carlos threatens him, saying that tomorrow he expects to get 5 thousand
dollars from him, or he and Sonia will squeal and everyone will go to jail.
Camelia hugs Patricio, very frightened at the idea.
At the Hacienda, Cruz notes that in a
few days Rosy's baby will be a month old. Caridad says she can't imagine where
Rosaura is finding the strength to go on since her whole life has been marked
by suffering. Cruz fears that Rosaura will finally end up going insane.Rosaura
tries to remember where she gave birth, but for all her efforts, she can't
recall anything and says to herself she must remember or she will go insane.
LM and the old lady are still talking
in the park and she tells him that she didn't bring Angeliquita this time
because she actually went out just to buy milk for the baby.LM asks why her
mother isn't breast-feeding her since she's still so young.The grandmother
replies that's because her daughter doesn't have enough of her own milk for the
baby. LM offers to go buy milk for Angeliquita in the name of his own baby. The
old lady accepts and LM says he'd also like to accompany her to her apt. so he
can see the baby, because he's become very fond of her.
Rosy is still very upset because she
can't remember anything more, she shouts for her aunt, grandmother and Caridad
who come running into her room afraid of what happened to her now.
She tells them that she's managed to
remember something: the moment she gave birth, it wasn't in a hospital, it was
dark place full of old things and she didn't recognize where she was. Caridad
asks if she can remember where she left her baby. Rosaura thinks and sees
herself walking the streets with the baby saying that it wasn't her baby, that
she lost her own baby and that she couldn't stay with this baby because she
wasn't its mother.
Rosaura, crying, says she can't
remember clearly, only that it was a park. Caridad asks her to concentrate, to
see if she can remember leaving the baby abandoned in the park, or if she gave
it to someone.
RACKEL'S UNIVISION SUMMARY - ENGLISH- 1/28/03 TUESDAY

The Granados sisters and Valeria are still at the beach. Valeria wonders aloud
to Eva how Eduarda could have had betrayed her after being her friend for so
long. Eva said she couldn't go anything against Eduarda because they are tied
together by certain secrets. Silvia asks which? And Eva doesn't answer, but
she's thinking of the time they killed Rosaura's father Anselmo. She tells the
girls she doesn't want to talk about it, and says she's going to have a swim.
When Eva leaves, Valeria comments to Silvia that a rumor had circulated that
Eva and Eduarda had a lot to do with Rosaura's father's death, but Silvia
reacts irritated and tells her not to believe such rot, that her sister is not
capable of killing anyone, and Rosaura must really have gone over the edge if
she's inventing such things.
Gabriel gets a visit from Minerva at his office. She came to tell him that his
brother Guillermo took Luisito to spend the day with Jimena. Gabriel informs
Minerva about Karina's illness. Minerva is saddened by the news, although she
says they never were friends, she wished her the best, she'd like to visit her
but doesn't dare. Then she tells Gabriel she's leaving, but he invites her to
go out with him instead.
Leobardo gets home and after greeting his grandmother, she tells him that LM
came to visit and bought milk for the baby, held her and cuddled her. She adds
that it's obvious that LM is terribly troubled by something - does Leo know
what it the reason for his sadness is?The boy says he doesn't know. Leo asks
his grandma if she ever thinks about the baby's real mother and the old lady
says yes, but even if she wanted to look for her, Sonia has forbidden her to
look for the baby's mother.
LM calls Rosaura and asks if she's aware that the in a few days the baby will
be one month old. Rosaura replies that of course she's aware of it, as she's
always aware of the fact that she is the one responsible for the baby's
disappearance. LM tells her not to blame herself, she's not guilty of anything
because she didn't know what she was doing. Rosaura adds that everyday she asks
herself if her baby is gone forever.
Eva tells the other girls that they should leave the beach , since she's
feeling a stinging on her skin. Although Valeria doesn't want to leave, Silvia
tells her they'd better do as she wants , given Eva's character.
At the same time, Gabriel and Minerva are walking by on the sand at the edge of
the water and he asks her why she wanted to go there today. Minerva answers
that Max loved the sea. Gabriel is saddened and Minerva apologizes, they
continue walking and are discovered by the trio of harpies.
Eva gets upset and tells them off, saying they're a pair of liars because
Gabriel always said he was dying of love for her and Minerva always said she
loved Max so much, but they wasted no time finding consolation. Then she tells
them she will ruin their walk, while the other two laugh at them. Eva gets near
Gabriel and Minevera and tells them that they're having such a romantic walk,
does that mean that Gabriel has already found a substitute mother for Luisito?
Gabriel retorts that in the very short time Minerva has been taking care of the
baby, she has given his baby more than love than his real mother ever did. Eva
laughs in their faces and tells Minerva that if she's so in love with the baby,
she can keep him. Gabriel tells her she's reached a new low, they leave with
Eva's mocking laughter ringing in their ears.
Jimena, Guillermo and Luisito, go into Rosaura's room, where they find her very
sad. She takes the baby in her arms for a bit, but then crying, asks Jimena and
Guillermo to take him away because the sight of him makes her sad. Guillermo
says they understand and they shouldn't have brought Luisito, but Rosaura
assures them it's not their fault, it's her fault because she's been feeling
bad about all the terrible things that have happened. Jimena and Guillermo
decide to leave to let her rest. Leobardo chats with his little friend telling
her about Mayrita's sister Rosaura, how nice she is and how he wishes his
mother were so nice. Juanita asks him what happened to the baby Rosaura was
expecting and Leo says he doesn't know, that Rosaura gets ver sad each time
they talk about the baby. Juanita asks if the baby died. Claudia and Mayrita go
to Rosaura's room and she asks Mayrita to invite Leo and Angeliquita to have a
snack with them - the chauffeur can go pick them up.
Ivan insists that Karina open Maxi's letter and read it to put all doubts to
rest once and for all. But Karina says she isn't ready to do it, not to
pressure her, that when she's ready to read the letter, she will, and she puts
it back into the drawer. Leo leaves his friend Juanita and gets a call from
Mayrita, who invites him to come to her house with Angeliquita. The boy asks
his grandma for permission, the old lady is hesitant at first but then says he
can go and take the baby, but they must be home before 8PM, the time that Sonia
gets home from work. Leo tells Mayrita happily that he got permission to come
over.
Claudia asks Rosaura if seeing Angeliquita wouldn't make her worse, but Rosaura
says no. Claudia remints her that just a while ago seeing Gabriel's son had a
bad effect on her and Rosy replies that that was different. Mayrita arrives and
says happily that Leo got permission to come visit them.
Carlos the Peasant is in a bar and receives a call from Patricio, who tells him
to come to his office because the money is ready for him.
Carlos laughs and says that he sure found the money quickly, he expected it the
next day. Patricio, irritated, tells him to stop talking stupidities and come
by for the money as soon as possible. Bonbon (Camelia) enters the office
sighing that she feels very relaxed after her sauna and now she's going to get
some sun by the pool. She invites Patri but he says that he can't because he's
waiting for Carlos to give him the money. Camelia says that it's the best thing
they can do right now, but how can they avoid Carlos' asking for more money.
Patricio says that right now he's trapped by this worthless delinquent.
Sonia arrives at her house and her mother is surprised to see her home so
early. Sonia explains that her foot hurt so much her boss said she could go
home early. (That's funny: Sonia's supposed to be the one with the foot
problem, but her mother is the one wearing a bandage!)
Sonia asks about the kids, and when the old lady tells her that they went out,
Sonia gets angry and mistreats the poor old lady, telling her that she's going
to toss her in an old-age home because she must be senile, etc.etc.etc.
Sonia tells her mother to pray to God that nothing happens to the baby, because
if anything happens, she will be the only one responsible.
Meanwhile, Leo and Angeliquita arrive at the Hacienda. Inside, Rosy is telling
Panchita that Leo and the baby are visiting and that as soon as they arrive,
she should be informed. Panchita gets hysterical and says that the boy
"Leopardo" is a brat and tells Rosy about the joke he played on her
with the frog. Rosaura and Mayrita laugh at her. The doorbell rings and Mayrita
tells Panchita that she looks like a parrot, but she better open the door,
which Panchita does and the kids come in. Rosaura asks
Panchita to give her the baby, and as soon as the baby is in her arms the baby
starts crying. Mayrita says maybe the baby is hungry, Rosaura says they can't
let her go hungry and starts unbuttoning her blouse. Mayrita asks her what
she's doing, Rosy explains that she will breast-feed the baby, since she
couldn't breast-feed her own child. She asks Panchita to help her sit on the
sofa and gives the baby her breast. (Wow! A month has passed and she still has
milk???LM arrives just then and stands staring at the spectacle of Rosaura
feeding the baby. LM motions to Panchita to leave and take the kids and then
sits next to Rosaura and asks her why she decided to feed Angeliquita.Rosaura
answers that since the baby was crying and she had milk that she couldn't give to
her baby, it was just natural to do it. LM says she looks very tender feeding
Angeliquita and that this baby could be hers. Rosaura says no, she's not her
daughter. Panchita is scolding Leo and says he owes her a big favor for what he
did to her.
Leo says he did it because she took away his glass of milk, They keep arguing
until Mayrita intervenes and tells them they should jump rope which they
proceed to do, Panchita happily jumping with them. Rosaura finishes feeding
Angeliquita and LM starts up again singing the praises of the baby, he wishes
she was his and that all three of them were together. Rosy tells him that's
impossible, while Silvano arrives and sees the three of them together. He asks
Rosaura sadly if they found her baby. Rosy tells him no, that this is
Angeliquita. LM asks him why he always shows up at the most inconvenient
moments, and tells him to leave; Silvano dares him to throw him out. Rosy
intervenes saying that she will not allow the two of them to fight.
Carlos is at the Spa for his money. Patricio throws the money on the floor and
when Carlos tries to pick it up, he steps on his hand and tells him this is the
last time he will give him any money. Carlos replies that HE will be the one to
decide that!
LM is still arguing with Silvano about his presence in Rosy's house, and he
explains that he came to find out why Rosy didn't show up at the office. He
also tells LM that he's the third wheel. Rosy says that she wants to be alone
with the baby to enjoy her, and calls for Panchita.
The two men say they won't leave, but Rosy tells them to respect her wishes.
She wants to be alone with the baby. Panchita comes in all agitated after her
exertions with the jump rope, and Rosy asks her to show both men to the door,
which Panchita does.Both men tell Rosy they will call her later.Rosy is happy,
kissing Angeliquita. Panchita is outside with the men, and tells them that if
Rosy doesn't want them to visit, they should come anyway...to see her. The men
don't pay any attention to her and argue over Rosy.
LM is ready to fight and even takes off his shirt, but Silvano says that fist
fights are too low-class, they should have a horse race instead. LM says that
if Silvano thinks he's gonna fight for Rosy's love on the back of a horse?
Silvano mocks him, asking if he's afraid of losing. LM laughs and Panchita
echoes him. He says that of course he's not afraid, that he will tell Bruno to
get the 2 fastest horses ready and walks away. Silvano laughs evilly and says
he's not afraid either, because he was a champion rider for 3 years running. LM
yells for Panchita to get Bruno to saddle two hours for them because they're
going to race to decide which one has to give up Rosaura. Panchita says that to
be fair, the loser has to give all his love to her and her tumbao. LM tells her
to quit joking and tell Javier to get his riding equipment ready. Panchita
leaves, and LM and Silvano look at each other and laugh, Silvano takes off his
shirt. Panchita runs over to Bruno and Javier and tells them about the bet.
Bruno says that's fine, he'll give LM a sick horse because he wants him to
leave Rosaura alone. Panchita asks him how he can do that, if he's now in love
with Luisana. Bruno confirms that he's in love with Luisana now, but because of
LM, Rosaura never gave him a chance. Javier tries to oppose him, but Bruno says
that if he doesn't obey, he will throw him off the hacienda.
Cruz and Caridad ask Rosaura if she actually did breast-feed Angeliquita, and
she says yes. Cruz gets worried and says she hopes she won't suffer. Rosy says
she didn't suffer, that doing it she felt filled with peace. Panchita, Javier
and Bruno bring the horses to Silvano and LM. Panchita gives them the
"go" signal. And the men take off. Javier says poor LM, he'll surely
lose with this sick horse. Bruno says that's exactly what he wants, for LM to
lose.
Minerva pays a visit to Karina at home, telling Ivan that she found out about
Karina's illness and wanted to show her suport. Ivan thanks her and asks
Rodrigo to tell Karina. Then he tells Minerva to excuse him, but he was on his
way out. Minerva is alone in the living room. Rodrigo asks Karina how she's
feeling, she says bad, and they start discussing the transplant and Karina's
fears, Rodrigo hugs her trying to make her feel better. Finally, Rodrigo
mentions that Minerva's visiting and is waiting for her in the lliving room.
Rosaura's in her room talking to her grandmother and Caridad about the things
she would be doing if her baby was with her, when Panchita arrives and tells
them about the bet between LM and Silvano.
Cruz, Caridad and Rosaura are surprised and Rosy is upset, saying that she's no
trophy to be competed for and these two will be hearing from her about this.
Camelia arrives at the office and tells Patricio that she couldn't sunbathe
while she was worried about Carlos coming by for the money. Patri tells her
that he already came, and that he's sure that he will continue asking for the
same amount each month. Camelia is sad and says that they are trapped in the
hands of Carlos.
Sonia is still mistreating her mother, telling her that she's upset about the
things she does behind her back. The poor old lady can do nothing but cry and
beg forgiveness.
Back at the Hacienda, the horse race is still in progress, until LM falls from
