RCTV Synopsis: Alejandro Valdivia es
el maduro y atractivo dueño de "El Paraíso", hacienda tabacalera que
heredó y maneja con gran éxito. Marián Ordiales es una joven
profesional, hija de un talentoso pintor y nieta de la distinguida y rica Angélica
Clemente. Dariana Valdivia, hermana de Alejandro,
destila dulzura pero es fría, calculadora, y pretende ser la señorita perfecta,
cuando en realidad es madre de Antonio, a quien hace pasar por
ahijado. La esposa de Alejandro es Fernanda Prego, una bellísima,
sofisticada y muy peligrosa mujer.Alejandro descubre el engaño de Fernanda con
Antonio, por lo que se enfrenta a ella y cree haberla matado. Ella escapa con vida
y nunca nadie encuentra su cadáver. Mientras tanto, Marián enfrenta la muerte
de su padre, de quien conserva su obra pictórica y un dulce recuerdo, y termina
viviendo con unas amigas como virtual pariente pobre.Ricardo Administrador
de "El Paraíso", reconoce unos restos encontrados como los de
Fernanda, pues tenía el collar de brillantes que ella llevaba el día de la
pelea con su esposo. En el funeral de la supuesta Fernanda, Alejandro y Marián
se conocen, se enamoran y más tarde, ante la sorpresa general, se casan. A su
regreso a "El Paraíso", Dariana ha convertido a Fernanda en una
especie de santa con la finalidad de que nadie ocupe su lugar y conservar el
poder y el dinero para ella y Antonio.Al conocer a la nueva esposa de su
hermano, Dariana finge aceptarla y solo se dedica a hacerla cometer errores que
irritan a Alejandro y que le hacen recordar a Fernanda. Es aquí cuando Marián y
Alejandro comienzan a vivir un verdadero "Infierno en el Paraíso"…
son víctimas del engaño, la manipulación, la mentira, el egoísmo y los celos

Diario de Yucatan, 6/20/99: La historia se desarrolla en

did not get some parts of todays episode cuz i missed monday and tuesdays
episode. but here goes with what i remember so far:alejandro loves his wife
fernanda so much but she cheats on him and he catches her. scared of the
consequences or God knows what, she runs in her white car with alejandro
following her. tragedy occurs and fernanda's car falls over a cliff and shes
presumed dead. alejandro sort of blames himself for what happened. (am i right
so far guys?). well in comes the beautiful marian (alicia machado). she was
raised by her grandmother (chayo from prisionera de amor) and her mom died when
she was born. her dad was a pretty well painter when she was younger and they
lived in venezuala. then he wasn't doing to well and marian had to move in with
her rich granny. her granny payed for her to go into great schools and today
was her final exams to get a career. marian told her granny that she wanted to
invite her dad to her exams ceremony and her grandmother got mad saying hes a
good for nothing drunk. marians friends were waiting outside for her and
together they went to her fathers house to give him an invitation to go to her
ceremony. the servent, (the mean garbage lady from marisol), tells marian that
her dad went to go find a job which was a lie. as soon as marian left the
servent goes into marians dad's room and you see a drunk very sick man, marians
dad, i believe his last name is ordeales, and he is surrounded by alchohol and
ciggerettes. he got the invitation and said he wish he could take his daughter
out for lunch and just see her. the servent gave him a suit of her husbands to
wear to the ceremony. marian was waiting at the ceremony for her dad to show up
and was stalling the event until her dad showed up. he didnt show up and she
finally finished her oral exam.when the instructors were about to give her, her
diploma, her drunken dad shows up staggering, barely able to walk, he had
fallen off the bus and earlier was trying to sell paintings and people were
like "these are ordeales paintings!" no one recognized he was
ordeales. marian's father drops to the ground with marian screaming papa, papa.
he died right there with the granny saying, look...shows up drunk to his
daughters ceremony embaressing her! alejandro was at a golf friend riding a
golf cart and recieved a phone call from i think his co-worker or family member
(hes the bald guy) in which hes saying the coroner or police found fernanda's
body and found a necklace of hers. this bald guy told alejandro earlier not to
admit to any part of fernanda's death even if you think you are at fault.julio
bracho the nephew who had an affair with fernanda calls up marians dad's plae
and tells the servent if ordeales doesnt pay the money he owes them, he will be
kicked out. the bald guy goes home and tells fernanda's mom nanda (woman from
La Usurpadora) and julio brachos mom that fernanda has been found dead.thats
all i remmeber what happened for todays episode. i kind of gave too much detail
but nothing really important happened today except the fact that marians dad

i felt weird without checking my email. anyway here is what has been happening
so far. i LOVE this novela!!welllllll marian's papa died and she had just
returned with her two amigitas and their wacky mom. she has the churn with her
of papa's ashes and the wacky mom wants to go to alejandro valdivia's wife
named fernanda's funeral. (are you guys with me so far), well she wants to go
cuz she wants her eldest daughter claudia to marry him now that he is viudo.
they tell marian to come, well the girls do, and marian said shed meet them
there. she went to the cemetary to a crypt for her father and got stuck there
inside and couldnt open the door! alejandro is at his wife's funeral, eevryones
sad and crying except him, he hates fernanda for all the lies and cheating she
did on him. he gets up and leaves the funeral and is walking through the cemetary
and hears screaming "ayuda me!" etc. and he goes and opens the crypt
doors. out running comes marian gasping for air and she goes to the fountain
across from the crypt. alex picks up her shoes and walks towards her, she turns
around and hugs him. they both stand there awkwardly looking at each other.
(love is in the airrrr). alex is then at lunch with his most trusted employee
Ricardo.he is crazy in love with marian after seeing her for the first time
when he came looking for marian's papa federico ordeales at his house and found
marian instead. he is so worried about the pobre nina that he requests alex if
they can help her out since she has lots of debts her father had left. alex
said sure, and he made a plan to go on either it was a business trip or a
vacation, but the same place he went to, the wacky mom of marian's two friends
made a plan to take her girls and hesitantly marian also with her to the
vacation spot where alex loves to play golf so that the wacky mom (can someone
tell me her name?) can hook up claudia with alex.back to the dinner with
ricardo, alex told him he had saved an angel today, referring to marian at the
crypt. after that he couldnt stop thinking about her. now at the golf vacation
place the wacky mom said marian can sleep on the couch and the others in beds.
shes mean to marian alot. anyway, so wacky mom pays for her girls to have golf
lessons cuz rich guys are supposed to play golf. while they are doing that and
meeting up with two guys they start seeing, marian goes to the woods area and
starts drawing. in front in distance view marian sees a man standing on a
cliff. she starts drawing him and she noticed he looked very distraught and sad
and she thinks hes gouing to jump. alex on the other hand is deep in thought
thinking about how fernanda cheated on him and lied to him so many times.out of
no where a girl grabs him yelling no! and they both fall to the ground. alex
looks up...its his angel marian. they both say "tu!" and alex tells
the worried marian that no he was not commiting suicide, life is a gift from
God, he was just thinking. she felt so dumb she ran away. he sees her around
here and there in the vacation place and tries talking to her. one time they
are having lunch (marian and wacky mom) and alex shows up and wacky mom is
sugaring him really bad asking him if the fotos in the magazine were him and if
he was alex valdivia and he denied it all. she recieved a fone call from her
sick husband (he had an ulcer and she didnt blve he was feeling sick) and
during that time marian and alex talked n he got her name etc. one day wacky
mom told marian to go invite alex to a party shes throwing at the vacation
place and she goes into his room and he kisses her! i missed the next day's
episode so i dont know what happened so i really can't tell ya but all i can
say is all goes well and when they go back to the city alex asks her to dinner
and marian dresses up in a beautiful black dress and they go to dinner.
everything is all chill until that meanie antonio valdivia, alex's sisters
adopted son (i bet its her real son tho), comes up while alex is gone to do
saludos with friends and taunts marian saying no one denies him (since he tried
raping her earlier). he wants marian's dad's paintings cuz they are worth alot
of dinero since marians dad owed him alot of debts for bills etc. alex comes
back in the nick of time to save the day , punches antonio and kicks him out of
the resturaunt.marian, crying, tells alex everything that happened. alex hates
antonio since antonio was sleeping with his wife fernanda and he found out the
day fernanda supposedly died when he walked in on them (after that she ran away
and supposedly died in a car accident).so to make a long story short, (i hope
they end up repeating infierno en el paraiso on galavision next year), alex
finally asked marian to marry him, and she ofcourse said yes!! woohoo. i missed
the episode that happened the next day but the day after they show them walking
into a church to get married. marian was wearing this ugly white weird i dont know
if i should call it a table cloth or a dress. but shes gorgeous so i guess she
gets away with it. they get married with no one there and are so happy! they go
on their luna de miel (such a cute word!) and they are in the hotel and
they....you know, then the next day they are walking down the beach ramp and
alex gets a call from ricardo telling him that someone has been taking money
out of the swiss accounts etc. and the name given was francesca paoli.

6/27/99:Dolores exige a Marian que consiga el helicóptero de Alejandro. Antonio
comenta que Alejandro tiene celos de él porque supo que andaba con Fernanda,
pero no puede acusarlo de haberla matado. Nanda pide que le expliquen cómo
llegó un sobre con la letra F. Marian quiere despedirse de Alejandro antes de
regresar a México, él sorprendido trata de calmarla porque la chica está
desesperada y le pregunta si prefiere irse con Dolores o con él a El paraíso.
Diario de Yucatan, 6/26/99: Dariana comenta a Antonio que deberían unir
fuerzas para que Alejandro confíe en ellos y les encargue la administración de
sus bienes.Marián relata a Alejandro su historia y llora al recordar a su padre
bohemio, que nunca pudo ver exhibidas sus obras de arte. Alejandro confiesa la
gran desilusión que sufrió al descubrir que su esposa lo engañaba.Marián se
llena de dudas cuando Antonio le dice que Alejandro asesinó a su esposa.Laura y
Claudia comentan que su mamá las obligará a atrapar a Alejandro porque es viudo
y rico, pero que ellas no se dejarán manipular. Marián, en cambio, dice que
sueña con Alejandro desde que lo conoció.Antonio sospecha que Fernanda logró
salvarse del accidente, pero Dariana le ordena que guarde el secreto

cabaña vive Lucina, la nieta de Pancho. Claudia afirma a su madre que se casará
con Gustavo, aunque ella no esté de acuerdo. Fermín descubre en sus bodegas las
pinturas de Ordiales y le pide al velador que las meta a otra bodega. Marián
logra que Ricardo no renuncie. Para sorpresa de Magalí, Marián habla con
Angélica, hacen las pases, la abuela le jura que la adora y que siempre contará
con ella.
Diario de Yucatan, 7/4/99:Ricardo está muy preocupado
porque alguien falsificó la firma de Fernanda. Le advierte a Alejandro que
realiza una investigación para localizar a quien la suplantó y retiró grandes
cantidades de dinero de los bancos de Suiza.Dariana mantiene comunicación con
Francesca Paoli por medio de Internet. Ella quiere regresar a la hacienda y
darle un buen escarmiento a Alejandro. Dariana le aconseja que espere el
momento oportuno.Dariana se hace aliada de Antonio para sus maldades y le
revela que Fernanda no murió, sino que sólo está usando otro nombre y sólo
espera su llamado para regresar.Marián y Alejandro regresan de su luna de miel.
Dariana los recibe fingiendo alegría, pero cuando se queda a solas con Marián

los separos. Dariana planea engañar a Marian. La ambición de Antonio no tiene
límites. Claudia se hace la prueba del embarazo. Magalí asegura que alguien le
tiene envidia.
Diario de Yucatan, 7/11/99: Fernanda usa un disfraz y contrata
investigadores para que sigan todos los pasos de Alejandro y Marián.Marián
llora de impotencia por las humillaciones de Dariana. Alejandro la consuela con
besos y en ese momento entra Dariana.Alejandro reprocha a su hermana que
siempre interrumpa cuando está con su esposa. Dariana responde que no comprende
cómo pudo cambiar a una gran mujer como Fernanda, por una "fachosa"
como Marián.Francesa informa a Dariana por Internet que Fernanda está a punto
de regresar.-

only get to watch like two episodes a week and thats sometimes barely but i
manage to catch friday's so here is today's summary to best as i can remember
it. i will start giving more detailed and maybe more summaries of the week once
my new vcr gets delivered so i can start taping the shows. ok here is today's
summary from what i remember. if anyone has questions about past summaries or
where the story is going you can email me.marian walks into the main room
looking gorgeous as ever. she had a drawing book with her ready to draw some
pics. she walks over to fernanda's painting that her father painted and stares
at it. she then muttered francesca. dariana walks in the room to tell her
alejandro and ricardo are waiting for her. they were all going to go to one of
alex's factories that makes tobacco since alex wanted marian the nueva duena to
learn about his businesses. alex, marian, and ricardo leave for the factory while
dariana remains behind to meet secretly with antonio, her adopted (perhaps
real) son. they meet in the chateu like cottage near the main house where alex
found fernanda and antonio sleeping together. lucina the now blind servant girl
stays there. she heard some one coming and hid. it was antonio. dariana comes
in and says what was the important thing you had to tell me. antonio said this
will make u very happy. fernanda esta viva. shes alive. dariana is like
"no jueges conmigo, is it true? i knew it! my heart told me so she was not
dead!" antonio tells dariana that the plan is that alex pays for intention
of homocide and that them two will be the witnesses or the accusers. antonio
tells dariana that she has to somehow break up marian and alex's marriage. she
promised she would ecstatic to learn her fernanda the woman she loves, is
alive.antonio asks how will you do this? and dariana replies ricardo will do it
cuz passion is everything in the end forget about friendship or blood. hes in
love with marian. she is thinking how she'll do that.lucina hears everything.
dariana goes back to her room and sits down at a table thinking i must do
something, talk to someone about this, and she decides to go see the priest, i
think his name is el padre juan. she goes visits him and says marian does weird
things. upsetting weird things that hurt her and nanda. examples she gave were
when marian saw fernanda's painting and said shes alive etc. padre decides to
go talk to marian and stay for dinner at the valdivia's paradiso. meanwhile at
the tobacco factory marian is in awe of everything, she loves the campo and sat
down by a tree to start drawing. she drew fernanda's picture and ricardo walks
up and sees that. he says this is fernanda! she said no, francesca, i met her on
my honey moon. ricardo quiet, says will you give me this as a gift its very
pretty. she lets him keep it and he goes to show alex whos talking to the head
employee. ricardo shows the pic and the employee exclaims senora fernanda! he
leaves and alex and ricardo talk about how marian says she met a francesca.
they are weirded out. they return to paradiso to find padre juan. alex and
ricardo go into the game room and alex shows the padre fernanda's drawing and
says marian drew this, the padre takes the picture and says he'll have a talk
with marian. he goes outside and sits down with marian and asks did she draw
this? she replied yes, its francesca i mean fernanda. dariana walks into the
room then and sees the picture. marian says its a gift for dariana while alex
comes into the room. later on ricardo is standing outside for fresh air and
sees alex and marian kissing on their balcony. they start making love going
into their room until alex says ah..fernanda! marian jumps what!!! u called me
what!! and she leaves the room crying (so fake!) and runs to ricardo and hugs
him. alex is watching this from the balcony. she runs away crying from ricardo
while hes left confused staring at alex, and she runs into the house back into
alex's room. she says tell me now whats the reason u married me! you dont even
know who i am!! etc. and alex goes where did u go!!! shes tries to slap alex
but he stops her and she says let go of me and runs out of the room. she goes
to fernanda's room and goes to her dresser. she remembers when nanda said
dariana is only allowed in the room. marian is furiated. she starts throwing
fernanda's clothes around and throwing her pictures and perfumes to the floor.
she then falls asleep on the bed. the whole night and the morning alex and
ricardo went looking for her unable to find her. dariana got her chance to say
look shes not the ideal wife for someone liek u alex. in the kitchen, germania,
or the servant (also from angela - francesca), is preparing breakfast. the
buzzer is rung from fernanda's room. dariana says shell go check it out. she
walks into fernanda's room and finds marian lying on the bed. dariana is
furious, how dare you she says!! marian who is arta de todo yells back saying
this is the room of the senora de la casa y yo soy la senora!!!one more
detail.when ricardo was watching marian and alex kiss on the balcony, he thinks
to himself, if i had only found you earlier when i was looking for you before
alex did, maybe you would have been in my arms right now.another thing i just
remember.claudia is pregnant and the dummy gustavo doesnt want to marry her
even tho he says he loves her. gerardo his brother calls him and tells him she
is pregnant because she didnt tell him when he called her saying he wants to
postpone the wedding. gerardo and laura meet for lunch and gerardo says he will
marry claudia if gustavo doesn't since its his nephew to be born. but he loves
another woman. he confesses he loves laura and laura gets mad and asks for the
check. they go back to the house and gerardo tells claudia he'll marry her if
gustavo doesn't and claudia tells him she thats sweet of him but she decided to
move on with her life. she has a career and she can provide for her kid alone.
poor girl!!!!! what a jerk that gustavo is.

Marián, que la mujer que pintó su padre hace tiempo es Fernanda y no Francesca.
Dariana insiste con Alejandro preguntándole que pasó aquella noche en la
cabaña. Marián está segura que Fernanda fue la mujer que conoció en Santo
Domingo y dice que sabrá enfrentarla. Alejandra quiere que Dariana le diga
dónde quedó la pistola que dejó aquella noche. Marián está a punto de
confesarle a Nanda que su hija no ha muerto.
Diario de Yucatan, 7/18/99:Ricardo, estremecido, ve las
siluetas de Alejandro y Marián besándose en su alcoba. El amor apasionado de la
pareja se transforma de pronto en caos: la muchacha explota ofendida cuando
Alejandro se confunde y la llama Fernanda.Más tarde discuten fuertemente. Ella
reprocha a Alejandro sus celos y le pregunta por qué se casó con ella si sigue
amando a Fernanda.Marián está decidida a alejarse de El Paraíso, pues ya no se
siente a gusto al lado de Alejandro, de quien sospecha que la ha usado para
desquitarse de su fracaso matrimonial.Alejandro no puede hacerla cambiar de
opinión y sus argumentos parecen ofender más a la joven.-

de él y concentrarse en su plan para destruirlo.La Dra. Epinoza comunica a
Dariana que probablemente tenga un tumor maligno. La paciente le pide
discreción, pero la doctora tendrá que rendir un informe.Marián está harta de
que Alejandro la trate mal y la compare con Fernanda. El le sugiere que piense
bien lo que va a hacer con su vida.-

confiese a la policía. Nanda y Angélica se enteran de que Dariana, padece un
tumor maligno. Alejandro y Marián regresan a "El paraíso" antes de lo
previsto. Juanita descubre que Mauro tiene el encargo de eliminar a Fidel.
Antonio telefonea a Dariana, para avisarle que Fernanda ha decidido regresar a
"El paraíso". Alejandro y Marián viven momentos felices.

Yucatan, 8/1/99: Marián comenta a Ricardo que ya descubrió la "doble
jugada" de Dariana: conserva la imagen de Fernanda para que Alejandro se
sienta culpable de la muerte de su esposa.Dolores exige a Claudia que se case
con Gerardo, quien aceptó caballerosamente el compromiso para que la joven no
sea madre soltera. Sin embargo, el muchacho descubre el amor secreto de Laura
hacia él y avisa a Dolores que ya no se casará con Claudia.Nanda y Angélica se
enteran que Dariana tiene un tumor maligno aunque la enferma se los quiere
ocultar.Marián y Alejandro llegan antes de lo previsto a "El paraíso"
y se enteran que ha habido varios robos y que Fidel está en la cárcel

beaten and needs a rare type of blood. Dariana is going to be operated on for a
malignant tumor. Marian and her abuela, who have long since reconciled, are
sure that Fernanda is still alive and almost convince Nanda, who can’t believe
that her daughter would let her suffer, believing that she is dead. Alejandro
has been accused, from France?, of killing Fernanda and is being held. Javier?,

guys i missed tues/wed/thurs episodes so i am not knowing whats really that up
but here is friday's summary as best as i can peice together!it starts with
marian visiting alejandro and she asks him or maybe he decides himself but he
tells her the truth about how he found fernanda, we'll call her fernie, in
antonio's arms. he tried to shoot her but he couldnt do it and she ran out and
her car crashed etc. you guys know the deal. so marian is still mad and shes
like this doesnt change anything, i am not your wife anymore, fernie is! alex
is like i know but i love you not her. so she leaves afterwards. they show
dariana in the hospital and she is visiting her son antonio whom she told
everyone he's adopted. he's gonna be allright since they found matching blood.
i have no idea who gave it though. too bad he doesnt die hes muyyyy malo.
dariana 's servent i think her names herminia, she went to the hospital's
chapel to confess to the preist whats bothering her. the preist listens to
everything she has to say. she tells him how dariana at 14 had a boyfriend, and
one day they were in a mine and i am confused about this part if he rapes her
or not but he never came out alive. dariana got pregnant and she told her
father she wanted to adopt this child or keep it, and he rejected her and
change his will from dividing half of everything for both dariana and alex to
giving alex mostly everything and like 5% to dariana. dariana thinking she must
keep her son and let him have some fortune, kills her own proper father. no one
knows this except herminia and dariana. back at marian's granny's place, the
abuelita is telling nanda that she found out that dariana has had a cesarian.
nanda says no shes still a senorita. nanda tells dariana for some reason,
probably cuz dariana was just a girl, her dad gave mostly everything to alex.
marian feels naucious and throws up. they think she is pregnant and make an
appt. with a gyno. while they are about to leave, ricardo comes in telling
marian that alex has been moved to another place and he would like her to come
and bring some clothes for him. they all go to the doc's and find out marian is
to be a mama.ricardo has that weird look on his face when he hears the news.
back to alex : one of the police officers comes into his room and tells alex
that his wife is here to visit him. he gets up and says marian to himself.
guess who though? fernie prego de valdivia, the devil herself. she signs a
guestsheet and walks into alex's room. he sees her and is shocked and stares.
marian walks into the place and is told to sign the guestsheet. she sees
fernie's name on the sheet and hear's fernie laughing in the room. obviously
she thinks something is going on and starts crying. she throws alex's suitcase
full of clothes to the floor. it ends right there. she had planned on telling
alex she was pregnant........but now i guess not!!! oh yah another thing,
ricardo when he went to visit alex, he told alex he wouldnt betray their
friendship by going for marian and that marian still loves him...only him.ciao,

USA 3/27-31/00.Marian leaves Alejandro and Ricardo declares his love for her.6 months pass. Alejandro has started over and made a success of a new business. Alejandro and Fernanda arrive, separately, at an exhibition of Marian’s works. Fernanda tries to make it seem that they came together but Santiago tells Marian it is a lie: Alej has been living alone. Marian goes into labor. It is difficult but the child is born healthy. Fernanda starts to go crazy, she is obsessed with having Marian’s baby. Antonio asks Javier’s permission to court his daughter and Javier refuses. Antonio doesn’t understand. Finally, Javier tells him the truth: that he and Dariana are his parents. Antonio runs away crying. Hector lets Alejandro see Marian (he is the only one, apparently, who doesn’t think that Alejandro was responsible for the attempt on Marian’s life) who thinks she is dying. She tells him that she does not want him to raise their son because of Dariana and Fernanda. Fernanda buys a nurse’s outfit.

Fernanda will be getting out of jail and her lawyer reminds her, with a leering look, of the payment due for his services.

USA, 4/24-28/00. Dariana is in an automobile accident and loses her identification. Somehow, Javier discovers she is in the hospital but doesn’t admit that he knows her. When she is identified, she is put under arrest for attempted murder. The doctor treating her for her cancer tells the doctor treating her injuries that it must be a mistake and, even though she is being guarded by the police, he must get her out of the hospital she is in and under her care for cancer the treatment. The doctor agrees to help. Francesca and ? recognize Fernanda in a bank, call Alejandro and the police, and a chase proceeds but Fernanda escapes with a minor bullet wound to her hand. Marian, recovering, names Fernanda as her assailant and asks that Ricardo, who had been arrested for the attempt, be freed and he is. Ricardo tells Javier that Francesca interests him. Ricardo tells Alejandro that he and Marian are no longer going to be married. Marian tells Ricardo that Francesca is the woman for Alejandro. Francesca visits Marian in the hospital and tells her that Alejandro loves her. Marian says it is over between them. When Alejandro visits him, she asks him if he loves Francesca. [note that he has barely met her]. Horacio’s mother is not in favor of her son’s marriage to Lucina, whose surgery is successful. She can see. Fernanda continues to threaten Marian and her son by phone. Hector gives her a sedative and has Angélica come stay with her. Francesca arranges to meet her mother and pretends to be sorry and mentally unbalanced. In New York, Francesca meets Antonio who tells her part of his past but not all of it. Antonio apologizes to Alejandro. He says he is almost grateful to him for showing him what type of person Fernanda was but can’t forgive him for trying to rape Marian or stealing from him. Still, he accepts the apology. Marian wakes, picks up her baby, and gets a taxi. Horacio fights with his father when he discovers that his father told Lucina’s grandfather to take her away because Horacio wouldn’t marry her. His father tells him he will be appeciate this action later on.

USA, 5/1-5/00. Alejandro kisses Francesca. They may have become lovers (am not sure). Antonio and Alejandro both send Francesca tons of flowers. Francesca, dressed as a nun, goes to Francesca’s hotel room but Antonio recognizes her and stops her. She stabs him. Alejandro tells Marian, in his office, that Francesca has decided to put all the property into their son’s name. Marian tells him she loves him but won’t tell him where she is staying (in her father’s old neighborhood with Marie). Dariana can’t forgive Fernanda her attempt on Antonio’s life. Francesca changes hotels and Ricardo is disappointed to find that she left no message for him. He goes to Alejandro, tells him he loves Francesca and will fight for her. Alejandro suggests that his great love for Marian must not have been so great (this from a man who has passionately kissed Francesca and sent her tons of flowers), that he must be interested only in the women that interest him, and that he doesn’t know where Francesca is. [Alejandro, Antonio and Ricardo all seem to be in love with Francesca.]Alejandro goes to ? and suggests that Francesca would be safer at Paraiso because everybody there knows Fernanda and is trying to find her but ? doesn’t agree. Dariana swears to Alejandro that she will never hurt any of them, except Fernanda, again. He doesn’t seem to believe in her reform. She stops Mauro from shooting ? Francesca visits Antonio and thanks him. Santiago visits and Antonio suspects something between him and Dariana. Fernanda visits and Dariana tells her to leave. They throw mutual threats back and forth. Fernanda asks her how she could believe that she loved her. Antonio overhears, draws a gun on Fernanda. Fernanda leaves, saying that she too loved her (just the reverse of what she had just told Dariana). Sobbing, she tells Antonio that one reason she loved Fernanda was that the latter’s behavior was a kind of vengeance against her father. We see a flashback, with very bad audio video, and it appears that her father abused her. Antonio comforts her. Marian goes to La Reina Marian and tells Pancho to put her clothes in Alejandro’s room; they are back together again. Nanda is convinced that Fernanda is changed, she is now living as a nun; Marian’s grandmother tells her it is just another trick: Marian has called her to tell her that Fernanda attacked Antonio.

USA, 5/8-12/00. Marian waits for Alejandro and arranges for a special meal, but he shows us with Francesca who he has brought there for safe-keeping. That night, as he gets into bed with the sleeping Marian, he wonders what he should do: he loves two women. Antonio starts drinking again. Fernanda plans to go to the baptism of Marian’s baby. Santiago calls Dariana and offers his sympathy and help (she must start cancer treatments). He asks Herminia to accompany her. Ricardo is in a serious accident. Marian cares for him at her home. Herminia tells Lucina that Horacio is not the man for her. Javier tells Herminia that Dariana has cancer and asks her to accompany Dariana to her treatments. Herminia is reluctant but goes to see Dariana and explains first that she was the one who denounced Dariana for killing her father and planning Javier’s accident. Dariana says she knows but would still appreciate her help. Francesca agrees to be the baby’s madrina and Ricardo agrees to be its padrino. Ricardo tells Francesca that he loves her. Nanda discovers that Fernanda got permission to go to a baptism and tells Javier. Lucina tells Horacio about the night she saw the confrontation among Antonio, Fernanda and Alejandro and about how Mauro raped her. Ricardo overhears Alejandro and Francesca confessing their love for each other.

USA, 5/15-19/00. Fernanda and Mauro continue to plan something for the baptism. Ricardo believes he is paralyzed but the doctor tells Marian and Francesca that once the multiple fractures heal, he will be fine; he suffered no injury to his spine. Antonio asks Alejandro to forgive Dariana. Antonio tells him how their father raped the 14-year-old Dariana after he learned that she was pregnant and how sick she is. Dariana, her hair lost from chemotherapy plans to attend the baptism. Francesca and Marian talk about Alejandro and about love. The whole family and friends (Javier and his family, the abuela, Nanda, etc.) congregate for the baptism. Dariana warns Antonio about Fernanda. He calls Sanitago who calls Alejandro. Francesca confesses to Ricardo that she loves Alejandro then confronts Alejandro before they go to the church and insist that he make a decision. Marian interrupts. Francesca confesses to the priest that she feels guilty about being the baby’s madrina because of her love for Alejandro. He comforts her and tells her she should comply with her obligations as madrina.

SEMANA:
5/22-26/00.
As they enter the church for the baptism, Lucina senses the presence of
Mauro and a search begins. Dariana feels fear for Antonio. The family leaves
the church after the baptism. Mauro aims at Alejandro from a rooftop but
Antonio sees him and moves in front of Alejandro. He is shot in the back and
dies, eventually, with Dariana and Javier at his side. Two men go after Mauro
and there’s a lot of chasing, a fight in which first one then the other gets
the upper hand (really stupid) but, eventually, Mauro is caught. Fernando
kidnaps ? and escapes in a car. Marian and Francesca go after Fernanda in their
car, followed by a police car. Fernanda lets her kidnappee out and gets
on a bus (she is still dressed as a nun). Marian and Francesca stop the bus. A
policeman goes on and drags Fernanda out. Alejandro and Santiago arrive.
Fernanda puts a gun to Francesca’s head and shoots two people (but not Santiago
or Alejandro although it was the latter she had wanted to kill). She and
Francesca go off in Alejandro’s car. She ties Francesca up, calls Alejandro
with various instructions. While he tries to round up the money she wants, his
child becomes ill. Marian tells Ricardo that Alejandro is more worried about
Francesca than about his own child. She and Ricardo talk a lot, she,
eventually, forces him to try to walk and he does. Alejandro tells Santiago
that he is in love with Francesca, that he loves Marian as the mother of his
daughter. Alejandro arrives at the hospital and the baby recovers. Marian asks
him what he feels for her but before he can answer he gets another call
from Fernanda. Dariana is suffering more and is dying. Nanda, Herminia and
Angélica are with her. She begins to hallucinate; when Javier visits,
she thinks it is her wedding day. El padre gives Javier his son’s ashes.
Francesca escapes, falls into a large hole, is rescued and ends up at El
Paraiso. Fernanda tells Alejandro he
has half an hour to deliver the money or she will kill Francesca. He arrives at
the meeting place and leaves the money. Francesca, after recovering, calls
Angélica. Dariana dictates her will and leaves El Paraiso to her sobrino.
EL GRAN
FINAL USA. 5/30/00. Recap:
Francesca advises Angélica that she has escaped. Alejandro leaves the money.
Dariana is delirious. Today: Fernanda takes the money. Alejandro goes to
El Paraiso and embraces Francesca. Dariana calls out: Fernanda, mí único amor.
Javier joins Angélica, Nanda and Herminia at the bedside of Dariana. They don’t
understand her raving. Francesca explains that Fernanda didn’t free her; she
escaped. Santiago arrives. Marian asks Ricardo if Alejandro and Francesca have
made love. The doctor tells them he has received a call: Dariana won’t survive
the day. Alejandro calls Marian. Javier kisses Dariana and tells her that he
always loved her. Alejandro leaves Santiago in charge of Francesca, watches her
sleep and thinks of how much he loves her, tells her he must go to Dariana.
Ricardo enters, walking. Alejandro leaves.
The police search for Fernanda. Ricardo admits to Francesca that
it was Marian who got him walking and that he still loves Marian. She tells him
that he needn’t explain; they’re both in love with married people. Javier takes
Antonio’s ashes to Dariana. Alejandro tells her they all love her very much.
Dariana dies with Javier and Alejandro at her bedside. Alejandro tells the
women that she has died. Ricardo and Francesca talk about love and fighting for
it. Marian goes to the clinic to see her baby. Francesca tells Ricardo she’s
thinking of returning to Italy. Alejandro arrives and tells Ricardo and
Francesca that Dariana has died. Marian calls Alejandro to tell him that the
baby is worse. At the bedside of their sick son, Marian asks Alejandro to tell
her the truth, does he love her as he did at the first. he asks her to talk
later. Alejandro leaves room and talks with Ricardo. Alejandro tells Ricardo
that he doesn’t think she can be happy with him. But how can he tell her that
he loves her and Francesca. Ricardo tells him that he must be truthful.
Francesca writes
a good-bye letter to Alejandro. Ricardo enters the baby’s room and tells her
Marian the name of his favorite novel and why. Alejandro returns to El Paraiso
and finds Francesca leaving. She tells him that she must return to Italy, that
he must fight for Marian and his child. He asks her if she loves him; she
admits that she does. He tells her that he will always love her. She says she
fell in love with him because he loved his wife and she wanted that kind of
love. She says that theirs is a story of love, a sad story. She tears up the
letter and leaves.
Dariana’s
funeral is held. She is buried next to Antonio’s ashes. We hear the thoughts of
Javier (re Dariana and Antonio), Nanda re Fernanda, Alejandro re Marian and
Francesca, Ricardo. nanda sees Fernanda off in the distance. She runs after
Fernanda and begs her to repent. Fernanda begs her forgiveness. Alejandro draws
a gun on Fernanda; Fernanda drawas a gun. The police arrive and capture
Fernanda. Fernanda is sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Añós despues.
Birthday party with a lot of children and clowns. Alejandro and Marian talk
about the party. Ricardo and Francesca arrive. Alejandro and Francesca leave
together. Ricardo and Marian say they can return when they want. Marian and
Ricardo declare their love for each other and kiss. Francesca and Alejandro
kiss. FIN.

la sirvienta fingen que no sabe lo que dice.Marian le pregunta Ricardo si cree
que Alejandro le haya sido infiel. Alejandro habla con su amigo (Arsnio Campos)
y le dice que esta en un dilema ya que ama a Marian , pero tambien a Francesca.
Francesca se prepara para irse a Europa lejos de Alejandro. En el funeral
aparece Fernanda. Nanda se arrodilla ante su hija y le suplica que se entregue.
Aparece Alejandro y apunta su exmujer con un revolver. Lega la policia y
arresta Fernanda. Ultima escena. Aparecen Marian y Fernando delante de los
restos de una fiesta infantil. Es el primer cumpleaños de su hijo. Se ven
felices y hablan de lo maravillosa que estuvo la fiesta. Llegan Francesca y
Ricardo. Ricardo abraza Marian y Francesca hace o mismo con Alejandro.
Francesca le pregunta Marian que cuando pueden recoger al niño. Marian dice que

Francesca is able to prove her innocence and leaves after making love to alejandro because she feels guilty for betraying Marian’s friendship.Antonio forgives Dariana for adopting him becase she tells him about how her father abused her physically and sexually when he found out that she wasexpecting and that’s why she wanted him not killed but punished and somehow things went wrong and he died, plus she is dying of cancer. Antonio is able to get Alejandro and Marian’s forgiveness for everything he did and dies when saving Alejandro’s life when Fernanda tries to kill him. Dariana dies shortly after. While Alejandro and Marian are back together Ricardo has an accident and becomes disabled. On Dariana’s funeral Fernanda tries to killAlejandro and Marian and that’s when the police arrest her and goes to jail permanently.At the end Marian and Alejandro are celebrating junior’s second birthdayand they are chatting about how beautiful their baby is when Ricardo and Francesca arrive and Ricardo hugs Marian and Alejandro hugs Francesca and they start discussing what time Alejandro and Francesca would be picking up Jr. So that means that Marian married Ricardo!!!!!
