Un hombre
regresa al lugar donde dejó al amor de su vida y termina encargándose de una
huérfana. Años después llegará a
amarla, pero se la disputará el hijo de la mujer que él amó en el

Sinopsis:
Cuando eran
niños Julieta y los hermanos Pedro y Cristóbal Valencia eran amigos, pero
Genaro dueño de "El Castillo, y el padre de los niños los separó. El
pintor Gabriel Almada, se hace cargo de la pequeña Julieta, cuando muere el
abuelo de ella. Se marchan de la región
y con el paso de los años ella se convierte en una brillante doctora. Movida
por la nostalgia, decide volver al pueblo y ejercer allí su profesión. Gabriel la acompaña, pero su regreso revive pasiones del pasado. En Génaro
renace el odio hacia Gabriel, pues siempre supo que el pintor era el verdadero
amor de su esposa Sofía. Este odio es compartido por Pedro, quien alguna vez
vio a Gabriel besando a su madre.
Génaro trae a "El Castillo" a su sobrina Nadia, con la idea de
solucionar sus problemas económicos a través de la fortuna que la muchacha ha
heredado. Por su lado, Julia descubre que aquella amistad infantil con Pedro se
ha convertido en un amor maduro y bien correspondido. Pero son separados por Nadia, quien ha puesto sus ojos en él.
Julieta, sola y herida se refugia en Gabriel, pero él se ha enamorado de ella.

Resumen / Summary: Julieta es
una niña de 10 años que cultiva una amistad con Pedro y Cristóbal, dos niños un

Castillo". Genaro Valencia, el padre de ambos, se opone esta amistad
porque considera inferior a Julieta. Cerca de "El Castillo" vive
Gabriel Almada, un pintor que terminará haciendose cargo de la pequeña Julieta.
De una manera desinteresada la lleva bajo su tutela a estudiar fuera del
pueblo. Así, con el paso de los años, ella se convierte en una brillante
doctora. Movida por la nostalgia, decide volver al pueblo y ejercer allí su
profesión. Gabriel en su afán de protegerla decide seguirla. Instalados ya en
el pueblo, el pasado revive las pasiones. En Genaro renace el odio hacia
Gabriel, pues siempre supo que el pintor era el verdadero amor de su esposa
Sofía. Este odio es compartido por Pedro, quien alguna vez vió a Gabriel
besando a su madre y ahora se siente herido al saber que su amiga de la
infancia está bajo la influencia de un hombre que para él es, a todas luces,
despreciable. Genaro trae a "El Castillo" a su sobrina Nadia, con la
idea de solucionar sus problemas económicos a través de la fortuna que la
muchacha ha heredado. Por su lado, Julia descubre que aquella amistad infantil
con Pedro se ha convertido en un amor maduro y bien correspondido. Pero son
separados por Nadia, quien ha puesto sus ojos en él. Julieta, sola y herida se

would be a good idea to post an article I wrote about "Laberintos de
Pasion." Based on this information and based on the reviews I've read
about it, I KNOW it is going to be a smash hit. The greatest thing about this story is that it is produced by El
Señor Telenovela Ernesto Alonso. I have always been impressed and fascinated
with the productions he brings to the television screen, and he continues that
tradition here with "Laberintos de Pasion." This novela will be a great relief from the torture we are now
enduring with "Tres Mujeres". "Tres Mujeres" is also a good
story, too, but now this story is, as one person described it, "A Waste of
Nine Months where everyone is an idiot, jerk, cheater, or annoying." Enough talk, here's the information about
"Laberintos de Pasion."

"El Señor Telenovela" Ernesto Alonso returns with newest
production at the same time he is returning as actor in "El
Elegido" By: Robyn Barnette (Copyright 1999 El Espectro, which is no
longer in print) MEXICO, D.F.—"El
Señor Telenovela" Ernesto Alonso is proving his versatility as the
greatest producer in the history of the telenovelas, and now he's doing so in
two facets: One, as an actor in his role as the evil Enrique De Martino in the
upcoming sequel to "El Maleficio" (Evil Spell) titled "El
Elegido" (The Chosen); and two, as producer of the new Televisa telenovela
"Labrientos de Pasión" (The Passionate Maze). The new Televisa
telenovela made its debut on October 4 in place of "Por tu Amor"
(Through Your Love), and stars Leticia Calderón and Francisco Gattorno. Calderón manifested that "the fact that
Ernesto Alonso is the producer means a guarantee since he has a lot of
experience. He takes care of each detail and even he worries about his people
and their state of spirit. It is a delight to work with him, since he doesn't
have any preference for anyone."
About her participation in "Labrientos de Pasión," Calderón
mentioned that she had worked with Alonso before in the telenovelas "Yo
Compro Esa Mujer" (I Bought That Woman) and "La Antorcha
Encendida" (The Burning Torch). She also assured that after her
performance in "Esmeralda" and a brief stint in "El Diario de
Daniela" (Daniela's Diary), this return to the small screen represents a
great professional challenge, although she denied that this would be a
competition with other actresses. Calderón
is portraying the role of Julieta Valderrama, who is a woman of strong
character and lives her life to the fullest. Life taught her how to live and
defend herself, and, "for that she collides with other character that
intend to humiliate her, as long as she is in front of two others, she is a young
girl again: Playful, affectionate; needy of love and protection." Calderón identifies with this role since,
"I also am a very independent woman and, at the same time, very girl-like.
This character has a lot in common with me." Calderón manifested her satisfaction that they gave her the
opportunity to demonstrate her ability as an actress. "I can represent the
same role as a villain, a prostitute, a nun, or mentally retarded. In the
sixteen years of my career, I have demonstrated that I am a professional and
more or less, I put all my heart in my work. I study and prepare myself and
earn a lot." On the other hand,
actor Francisco Gattorno said to be calm by the greeting from the audience and
from the ratings for "Labrientos de Pasión," although he recognized
that for the moment he is concerned about the acceptance of his character Pedro
Valencia. However, Gattorno feels proud to work with Ernesto Alonso and
describes him as an artist that knows television. About his role, Gattorno said that, "The writers had a lot
of care when structuring it, but for being a telenovela it goes through absurd
thing and for that, it only leaves me to play around with that to make it more
worthy and not to deceive the people or myself. It has many shades and lives
thousands of sensations, which takes him from a frivilous character to all
which face him." In that sense,
Gattorno specified that "Labrientos de Pasión" leaves a side that is
thrased in many occassions. And it is, "The people who get tired of that;
I put myself in the place of the audience and I think that to see a telenovela
that has its delivery to be noticed, its the part of the actors to make this
possible." Finally, Gattorno
affirmed that the length of "Labrientos de Pasión" means to him an
incentive and a challenge, because, "they are people with a category more
tan proven and from that a lot is learned. Each time I work with Manuel Ojeda
or María Rubio in a scene, I thank God."
"Labrientos de Pasión" takes place in the cities of Mazatlán
and Mexico City. The cast includes César Evorá, Manuel Ojeda, Alma Delfina,
Tiaré Scanda, Mónika Sánchez, Pedro Armendáriz, Aarón Hernán, María Rubio,
Socorro Bonilla and Jacqueline Andere.
María del Carmen Peña and Cuahtémoc Blanco are the writers of the
original story, and the theme to "Labrientos de Pasión" is performed

Yucatan, 10/10/99: Gabriel no quiere regresar al pueblo, hay muchas cosas ahí
que prefiere olvidar. Julieta llora al despedirse de él, pero después, a punto
de irse, aparece Gabriel, quien decide irse con ella.Juan descubre que Rosendo
enferma al ganado. El malvado amenaza con matar a la familia de Juan si éste lo
denuncia. Benjamín, hijo de Alfonso, abogado como su padre, no quiere ejercer
la profesión, prefiere vivir en el campo y le pide trabajo a Genaro.Carmina
comenta al padre Mateo que Sofía no es tan inocente como todos creen, pues
tiene un idilio secreto.Nadia se hace la inocente y le pide perdón a Cristóbal
por el beso que le dio, pero deja al muchacho muy entusiasmado con ella.Carmina
opina que Nadia no es decente ya que visita a Cristóbal en su recámara. Genaro
la convence para que la tolere, pues Nadia es heredera de una gran fortuna y
sería conveniente casarla con Cristóbal. Marisa está indignada porque Gabriel
la dejó esperando en México. Julieta se burla al oírla gritar por teléfono, le

ver a Nadia, Cristóbal se impresiona. Julieta festeja con Gabriel su triunfo
profesional. Carmina miente al decirle a Nadia que no le molesta que se integre
a su familia. Pedro y Cristóbal no son hermanos. Gabriel obsequia a Julieta un
collar y le propone viajar a Europa. Carmina le pide al padre Mateo informes de
Nadia. Gabriel pide una explicación a Julieta por usar un prendedor que tuvo
guardado durante muchos años. Julieta comenta con Lauro que Gabriel la hizo
sentir una ladrona.

Yucatan, 10/31/99:Gabriel visita al padre Mateo para hablar sobre Julieta y de
lo que pasó hace años junto al río.Genaro ve a Gabriel, pero decide no toparse
con él porque desea reencontrarse en otras circunstancias. Ofelia informa a
Cristóbal que su amiga de la infancia Julieta se encuentra de regreso en el
pueblo.Julieta se queja con Gabriel de la forma en que la trató Pedro. Diego
pide permiso al padre Mateo para quedarse a dormir en la sacristía porque su
relación con Rosendo va de mal en peor. Nadia pide explicaciones a Rocío de por
qué estaba en la recámara de Cristóbal.Carmina y Nadia escuchan la conversación

hace años huyó cobardemente, no se arrepiente de haber regresado a San Vicente.
Carmina piensa que Genaro mató al abuelo de Julieta. Pedro dice a Ponciano que
mientras Julieta no demuestre que las tierras son suyas, él seguirá pasando por
ahí con su ganado. Rocío pregunta sobre la muerte de su abuelo a Julieta, quien
le dice que alguien malintencionado quemó la casa del anciano. Gabriel advierte
a Genaro que no tolerará ningún daño a Julieta. Pedro y Julieta vuelven a tener
un fuerte altercado, pero terminan besándose. Ofelia no permite que Nadia se
exprese mal de Julieta. Cristóbal dice a Nadia que no puede ocultar por más
tiempo su pasión por ella. Rocío recomienda a Alejandra que tenga cuidado ya
que "alguien" está tratando de quitarle el amor de Cristóbal. Lauro
cuenta a Julieta lo sucedido con su esposa. Pedro sorprende a Rocío llorando.
Julieta comenta con Gabriel que se encontró con Rosendo. Genaro habla de manera
despectiva de Rocío en una plática con Juan. Después comunica a Rosendo que

la oportunidad para presentarse ante todos y dejar en claro que no está
dispuesta a entregarle sus tierras a Genaro. Rosendo dice a Genaro que Pedro
dio órdenes a Ponciano Ferral) para que no volviera a pasar el ganado por las
tierras de Julieta. Genaro y Pedro discuten sobre esta situación. Genaro y
Cristóbal tienen un altercado por culpa de Nadia.

Yucatan, 11/14/99: Pedro dice a Cristóbal que lo quiere como hermano y que
siempre lo protegerá. Arturo informa a Genaro que para deshipotecar El Castillo
tiene que vender la parte que corresponde a Ofelia. Carmina platica con Gabriel
y Rosendo la amenaza con contarle a Genaro que la vio coqueteando. Lauro dice a
Julieta que ya está harto de sus problemas con Gabriel, que si quieren matarse
que lo hagan. Pedro dice a Nadia que fue un error que tuvieran relaciones
íntimas, ya que sigue enamorado de Julieta. Cristóbal regresa a El Castillo y
Ofelia le cuenta que Pedro terminó su relación con Julieta. Al rato llega
Julieta. Pedro escucha parte de laconversación entre la joven y Cristóbal y
supone que ellos se aman. Entra furioso y les pide a los dos que sean testigos
de su boda con Nadia. Cristóbal propone matrimonio a Julieta.

Yucatan, 11/21/99: Nadia pide a Javier que no revele su pasado y espere a que
ella se case con Pedro para obtener su fortuna.Genaro atiende muy bien al
"abogado", quien le informa que Nadia es una rica heredera. A Pedro
le parece que es muy joven para haber sido abogado del papá de Nadia, pero no
le importa. Carmina sospecha la verdad.Cristóbal está a punto de confesar a
Pedro que fue amante de Nadia, pero Genaro los interrumpe, le calla la boca y
luego le dice que con la herencia de Nadia salvarán el rancho que está
hipotecado.Ofelia, por su parte, pide a Julieta que no permita que Pedro y
Nadia se casen, pero ella no acepta.Nadia baja como una reina para la boda,
todos le aplauden. Al mismo tiempo se ve a Julieta en la iglesia, rezando y
llorando, y a Cristóbal apuntándose con una pistola para suicidarse.Pedro y

respecto a Carmina. Pedro hace un comentario a Nadia para comprobar si lo que
siente por él es verdadero. Pedro y Cristóbal tienen un fuerte altercado y uno
de ellos sale herido. Pedro besa a Julieta, ella se indigna. Genaro desea
comprar las tierras de Julieta. Pedro cela a Julieta. Canal 2, 21:00 horas.

Yucatan, 11/28/99: Gabriel prohíbe a Julieta que se vuelva a acercar a Pedro.
Marissa está celosa de Carmina y le hace una "escenita" a Gabriel.
Genaro pide a Nadia que trate de convencer a Pedro para que no renuncie al
rancho. Marissa interroga a Lauro sobre Carmina. Pedro hace un comentario a
Nadia para comprobar si lo que siente por él es verdadero.Pedro y Cristóbal
tienen un fuerte altercado y uno de ellos sale herido. El padre Mateo aconseja
a Cristóbal para que acepte que él y Nadia tuvieron algo que ver. Después del
pleito, Pedro y Cristóbal hacen las paces. Cristóbal confiesa a Julieta lo que
hubo entre él y Nadia, luego la besa y ella se indigna, aunque le agrada. Más
tarde, Nadia trata de que Pedro se refugie en sus brazos, pero él la rechaza.
Genaro desea comprar las tierras de Julieta. Ofelia saca de su casa a Nadia.
Cristóbal aconseja a Pedro que luche por el amor de Julieta. Ofelia está
dispuesta a brindarle toda su ayuda a Julieta para que no pierda sus
tierras.Julieta se entera cómo le fue a Gabriel durante su exposición. Genaro
se enfurece y le da una bofetada a Carmina. Cristóbal confiesa a Genaro lo que
pasó entre él y Nadia, y le dice a Rocío que no se casará con Alejandra.Pedro
comunica a Genaro que se separará de Nadia y le advierte que no permitirá que
se burle de su abuela. Arturo busca a Alejandra, quien es encontrada por

notifica que está muerta. Arturo informa a Sara que su hija está muerta.

Yucatan, 12/5/99: Benjamín sospecha que Alejandra finge un desmayo, pero
Julieta le dice que está muerta. Arturo no lo puede creer.Rocío presenta a
Cristóbal a la enfermera que lo va a atender. La policía llega a averiguar a
qué se debió el fallecimiento de Alejandra.Diego busca a Alejandra y Sara lo
saca de la casa. Pedro insiste en que Julieta debe auscultarlo, pero Ofelia
está decidida a llamar a otro médico. En su delirio, Pedro llama a Julieta;
Nadia lo escucha y jura que jamás permitirá que regrese con ella.Arturo informa
a Sara que su hija está muerta. Magdalena hace una importante confesión a
Diego. El comandante informa a Arturo la causa de la muerte de Alejandra. Nadia
tiene un altercado con Julieta y la amenaza. Genaro explica a Rosendo por qué
sospecha que él le hizo daño a Alejandra. Pedro y Nadia discuten. Pedro externa
sus sentimientos a Julieta y, después, discute con Javier.

reclamó su actitud hacia Pedro. Julieta confiesa a Lauro y Rebeca su amor por
Pedro. El Padre Mateo reprende a Pedro. Cristóbal dice a Nadia que le da pena
ver que no tiene dignidad. El comandante revela a Genaro algo importante.
Ponciano y Pedro tienen problemas con el ganado. Javier aclara a Nadia que
Pedro ama a Julieta.
Diario de
Yucatan, 12/12/99: Arturo y Diego se encuentan, hablan acerca de lo que
descubrieron. Rebeca comunica a Julieta
que Nadia fue a buscarla para reclamarle su actitud hacia Pedro. Julieta confiesa a Lauro y a Rebeca que
Pedro y ella se quieren. El padre Mateo reprende a Pedro sobre su comportamiento. Ofelia aconseja a Pedro que demuestre su
amor a Julieta. Cristóbal dice a Nadia que le da pena ver que no tiene dignidad
y le informa sobre la difícil situación financiera del "Castillo".
Pedro platica con Julieta y se da cuenta que lleva el prendedor que perteneció
a la madre de él. El comandante revela a Genaro algo importante acerca de la
vida de Nadia. Ella discute con Genaro
y lo amenaza. Ponciano y Pedro tienen problemas con el ganado. Javier dice Nadia que Pedro a ama a Julieta.
Nadia se desmaya. Genaro se enfurece
por el asunto del ganado. Javier
chantajea a Nadia sobre su pasado.
Cristóbal se enfrenta a su padre. Javier se va a despedir de Julieta y
la besa; ella le da una bofetada. En
eso llega Gabriel. Cristóbal confiesa a Pedro lo que siente por Nadia. Julieta se preocupa por la reacción que
tendrá Pedro cuando se entere del regreso de Gabriel. Nadia encuentra juntos a
Julieta y Pedro y les da una noticia que les cae como bomba. Julieta hace inesperada propuesta a Gabriel.

amenaza a Carmina. Cristóbal declara su amor a Julieta. Nadia se siente mal y

Gabriel y le pide que no se vuelva a meter en su vida.

Now, they are seeing eachother after a long time. Old passions are awaken
again. Genaro tries to buy the land of Julieta's grandfather, so that his
cattle would have easiest acces to the river. Genaro's lawyer Arturo Sandoval
is making him the offer,but Don Miguel rejectes it and telling him that he will
never sell it to him.Sofia is telling her mother that Gabriel returned to San
Vicente and Carmina is listening out the door. Gabriel is looking at the

thinks, how he killed Sofia. Alejandra announces on her wedding shower, that
she will not get married, because she doesn't want to force Cristobal to marry
her, with lies. Pedro has a fight with his father, because he can't allow that
cattle passes trough Julieta's ranch. Nadia asks Rosendo to fulfil his promise,
to kill Julieta. In the meantime, Julieta meets with Pedro again and they are
having another fight. Julieta meets Rocio and they are riding home, but along
the way they have an accident. Julieta manages to get to the house, where she
finds Gabriel and Carmina. Everybody goes to help Rocio, but Carmina goes home,
without anybody noticying that. They are bringing Rocio to the hospital, while
Diego is waiting for her on the date. Nadia is angry at Rosendo, because he
didn't get the job done right.But, Rosendo goes straight to Genaroto talk about
Nadia. Cristobal finds some documents about the morgage for the ranch and he
fights with his father because of that. He's fed up with everything and he gets
drunk. Cristobal talks to Julieta about his problems. But, in the wrong time
Pedro shows up and he missunderstands everything. Cristobal fights with his
brother and takes the knife... The doctors are fighting for Cristobals life.
Julieta runs to the hospital to be near Pedro, but he attacks her and accuses
her afront everyone, that she is guilty for his brothers accident. Ofcourse,
Nadia takes advantage of the situation to be closer to Pedro. Ofelia consoles
Julieta, that she is not guilty for anything, because she knows that Genaro is
responsable for everything. Rocio takes very hard the news about Cristobals
accident. She secretly visits Cristobal, she declares her love to him. Just the
moment later, Cristobals heart stops beating. Julieta manages to save
Cristobal, but the doctors are still affraid the worst. In the meantime,
Alejandra also finds out about the accident and she runs into the hospital.
Gabriel wants to make Julieta happy and he throws her a little surprise.
Carmina is having another fight with Genaro and Gabriel runs into her, near the
river. Cristobal wakes up, in the moment when his brother is near him. Pedro's
presence disturbs Cristobal and Pedro is leaving the room. Pedro gets drunk
from desperation and Nadia is taking advantage of it, one more time. Cristobal
is unhappy, he can't feel his legs. The doctors and the family are telling him
that he will get better, but he trusts only Julieta. Alejandra escapes from
home, because she wants to be with Cristobal.

with anyone, but Julieta. This situation makes Genaro angry. Pedro takes
Cristobals side and makes his father even more angry. In the meantime, Gabriel
is tortured by the fact, that Julieta wants to go away. First, he has a fight
with Lauro, then he goes to Padre Mateo to tell him how he feels about Julieta.
Rocio returns from the hospital disapointed, where she visited Cristobal.
Genaro has financial problems and he is hoping to get Nadia's fortune. Genaro's
plans are shattered, when pedro admits to Nadia, that he loves Julieta.
Cristobal comes home from the hospital and he wants Julieta to come see him.
Pedro listens the conversation, trough shout door, between Cristobal and
Julieta. Their words upsets Pedro. He is upset so much, that he announces his
wedding with Nadia. Julieta turns down Cristobal's proposal. Nadia tells to
Genaro happy news and she doesn't miss the chance to tell him about cristobal's
proposal to Julieta. Genaro is mad and he is readdy to do anything, so that
wedding wouldn't happend. Rosendo suspects that Magdalena is seeing somebody
secretly and he decides to follow her. Rocio is angry with pedro, when she
hears that he will marry Nadia. Dona Ofelia is upset, because of her grandsons
and Padre Mateo says to Cristobal, to tell Pedro the truth about Nadia. Pedro
wants to get married as soon as possible, so that he would forget Julieta.
Rosendo beats Lauro and he threatens him to stay away from Magdalena. When
Lauro doesn't want to say who attacked him, Gabriel thinks that Genaro did
this. He takes his rifal and goes to find him on his property. Pedro is
destroied, because his brother is in love with Julieta and now he is more
determined to marry Nadia. In the meantime, Julieta is thinking about living
san Vincente with gabriel. Nadia is unplesently surprised when her ex-husband
Javier calls her. Javier tells her, that they need to clear some things. Lauro
asks Magdalena to stop visiting him, because that could make Rosendo even more
angry. Ofelia tells Pedro, that Julieta is leaving San Vincente. Pedro visits
Julieta, to talk her into staying with Cristobal. She reproches him about his
engagament with Nadia, but he is telling her that he loves her, but he still
thinks to marry Nadia, so that he wouldn't hurt his brother.

was married.They are stunned by the fact that she isn't officially divorced
Javier Medina. Genaro calls Nadia to talk to him and comfronts her with a
truth. Nadia tells him that she was ashamed to admit, how the things really are
and that her father died, when he heard that she married Javier. Also, she lets
Genaro know, that she knows that he wants her in the house only, because of her
money and that with the help of this money, he wants to pay his depts. In the
meantime, Javier is planning to leave San Vincente.Just before his leaving,
Carmina comes to visit him, to tell him what she thinks about him. Javier gets
very angry, he comes to Julieta's house, he attacks her and tries to rape her.
At that moment, Gabriel comes and saves Julieta, she asks him not to call the
police. When Ofelia sees the broche of Sofia in Pedro's hand, she tells him,
how it belonged to his mother. Pedro wants to know, why Julieta didn't tell him
this, so he visits her in her ambulance. Nadia is pregnant and to confirm that,
she has the resaults.At this point, relationship between Julieta and Pedro
becomes unpossible. Julieta is desperate and finds a comfort at Padre Mateo and
Gabriel. Arturo is telling Genaro, that he doesn't want to be his lawyier
anymore. Gabriel is telling Julieta, that he is going to marry Marissa. That
hurts Julieta, because she hoped to forget about Pedro, near Gabriel. She gives
up the both of them and she decides to dedicate herself to her work. Pedro is
telling her that he will not divorce Nadia, because he must to think about the
upcoming baby.Nadia is celebrating her victory, but Carmina suspects that baby
isn't Pedro's! Cristobal comfronts his brother with his doubts, that baby, that
Nadia is carrying might be his. Because, of the ugly rumors how Julieta is
Gabriel's mistress, nobody wants to come to her doctor's office. marissa calls
padre Mateo to her wedding and she feels happy, because she managed to take
Julieta out of Gabriel's heart. Rocio is having a fight with Julieta, because

is determined to stop the possible relationship between Cristobal and Julieta
and she tells Gabriel that Julieta is in love with him.Marissa listens to that
conversation. Gabriel is asking for a explanation from Julieta and she is
opening her heart to Gabriel, telling him her real feelings.At that moment
Pedro showed up, standing at the door. In the meantime, at the ranch Cristobal
is excersising and he manages to moove his feet. Everybody are excited about
that. Carmina is getting sick with Genaro and his problems and she decides to
make a bold step. When Marissa is not present in the house, she takes a chance
and uses her absence and she is getting in Gabriel's bed. Pedro is drowning his
sorrow in tequilla and Julieta is confying to Rebeca. Marissa and Carmina are having
a huge fight over Gabriel.Carmina kills Marissa. Rosendo showes up and Carmina
is asking him to get rid of the body. Rocio decides to leave San Vincente, so
that she would forget about Cristobal, as soon as possible. Rocios mother,
Matilde is not happy with that decission and blames Julieta for everything.
Gabriel is desperately looking for Marissa and he suspects, that Carmina is
guilty for her dissapearence.He goes to Carmina's house to ask her about
Marissa.Carmina is determined and she is telling him, that she knows nothing
about her dissapearence.Genaro suspects that Carmina is having something with
Gabriel, he beats her up, so that he would get the truth out of her. Rocio is
leaving the village and her parents are crushed with her leaving. Rosendo is
Blackmailing Carmina, because he helped her with hiding Marissa's body. Gabriel
is worried, because Julieta is alone in her house.Rebeca is mooving to her
house, but that doesn't calm Gabriel. He wants from Julieta to moove back with
him, but she proudly turns down his offer. Now, the tables are turned and
Rosendo is beeing blackmailed by one of the workers, who saw that Marissa never
left the house and that something might of happened to her. Gabriel offered to
Genaro, that he would buy a part of his ranch and that would help him with his
financial troubles. On Gabriel's proposal, Genaro has gone mad and points a gun
at him, but at the last second Pedro shows up and stops the tragedy, that was
about to happend...

that Genaro is to blame for Alejandra's death.Pedro finds out that Nadia is
taking some pills, but she says they were subscribed by her doctor.Pedro
doesn't believe her, so he consultes Julieta.Julieta confirmes him that those
pills may provoce abortion. since Rosendo refused to be a part of Genaro's
dirty game again, he decides to get rid of Gabriel all by himself.When Gabriel
goes to horseback riding, Genaro shoots him. Woonded Gabriel manages to go to
Julieta and she is taking him to the hospital.He looses a lots of blood,
doctors are removing his kidny as well. A doctor warns Julieta, that they need
to find a blood doner as soon as possible, or Gabriel will die.To make things even
worst, Gabriel's blood type is very rare. Ofelia confesses to padre Mateo and
she is admitting that Gabriel is really Pedro's father. Gabriel desperately
needs a blood transfusion, but there is nobody who has his blood type.
Everybody wants to give up the whole thing, but somebody appears with the same
blood type:Pedro! Ofelia warns carmina to give up on Gabriel, so that she
wouldn't end up like her daughter, Sofia. Pedro suspects that Genaro shot
Gabriel. julieta is convinced that she really loves Gabriel.On his death bed,
she realizes how much he means to her and wants him to marry her. Javier calls
Nadia, but since she's not at home, he leaves a message to Pedro:If Nadia wan't
do what she promised soon, he will get mad and the hell will break loose. Afterwords,
Nadia is telling Pedro, that Javier wanted nothing else, just the money her
father owed to him. Pedro finally realizes, how he really doesn't know his wife
and that she is full of unreachable secrets. Rebeca says to Cristobal that he
should finally admit, that he is in love with Nadia. Nadia is humiliating
Cristobal constantly, so he doesn't know what to do.He can't forgive his
brother for marrying her.To get revange and to show Pedro, he writes a letter
to Julieta, where he says that he is in love with her. Pedro makes an important
decission:If the baby that Nadia is carrying turnes out to be his, he and Nadia
will go away from the house, so that Cristobal wouldn't suffer anymore. The
investigation on Gabriel's attack is in full progress, but still there are no
leads on Marissa's murder. Arturo is telling to Genaro that he suspects him,

Benjamin and Arturo are suspecting that Genaro killed Alejandra. Genaro denies
all Sara's accusations, saying that those are all stupid stories and that he
doesn't know what she is talking about. Evem Genaro denied everything, the
inspector and Pedro who is also present in the room are suspecting that there
might be some truth in Sara's words. On the river, Julieta finds womans body.
Later on, Nadia calls Julieta for help.she is telling her that she feels a big
pain in her stomache and that she is affraid, that she lost her baby.when
Julieta arrives, Nadia tells her laughing, that it was all part of her evil
plan: She is telling her, that she is going to accuse her, because she lost her
baby because of her, and that Pedro will hate her for that, till the day she
dies. In very moment, when Pedro enters the house Nadia fells from the
stairs.She is telling him that Julieta pushed her.As a resault, Nadia looses
her baby.She decides to play on the "pitty card"from now on, so that
everybody would feel sorry for her. She begs Pedro not to leave her.she complains,
how this was all Julieta's fault and that Julieta pushed her down the stairs
from her own evil reasons.As a resault of nadia's accusations, Julieta ends up
in jail and Pedro is going to visit her right away. Pedro didn't fall for
Nadia's stories. He loves Julieta way to much to see her rotin prison.Even if
she will never be his, he will love only her, forever. In the meantime, Gabriel
finds out about Julieta's situation.He goes to police station right away. But,
there he finds unpleasent surprise. His beloved Julieta is behind barrs,
acussed to pushing Nadia down the stairs. Ofelia tries to convince Nadia to
leave and to leave family to live in peace. Now, Nadia is even more determined
to fight for Pedro's love. Everybody are sure now, that body found on the river
is Marissa.Rosendo starts to blackmail Carmina. Pedro promisses to Nadia a
church wedding, if she takes back all the accusations against Julieta. Pedro
also finds out that the baby that Nadia was carrying wasn't his, but
Cristobal's...

TO KNOW HOW WILL IT END ! Carmina doesn't stop in inventing new planes and
intrigues. She is telling Rosendo to go to Julieta's house and to kill her. He
obays,but Pedro comes in the last moment and stops the tragedy. Genaro's metal
button has been found, which prooves that he was guilty for the fire. Genaro
claims that he was in his house the whole night and Ofelia confirms his
testimony. Carmina starts asking questions about Gabriel, because she is
worried that he might died in the fire, so everybody are suspecting her. Genaro
claims that Carmina is to blame, but the police are suspecting Rosendo, because
of the prooves. Police is trying to arrest Rosendo for murdering Marrisa, but
he is taking Captain Mendoza as the hostage and runs away. Nadia and Cristobal
are leaving, but before that she is telling to Julieta that Genaro killed her
grandfather, Julieta gets mad, when she hears that. Carmina gets scared, when
she learns that police is on her trail. Gabriel is telling her, that she will
have to pay for all of her sins. Genaro looses his land and Gabriel showes up
as a interest buyer. Everything leads to the fight and Gabriel tells to Genaro
and Pedro, that Pedro is his real son. Pedro is in shock, when he learns that,
but that fact makes Genaro crazy angry. Genaro decides to get a revange to
everybody, who kept the secret away from him for all those years. Padre Mateo
warns Julieta and Gabriel on the danger in San Vincente. Nadia gets arrested.
Carmina is affraid,because of the police and she asks Ofelia to help her, but
Ofelia advices her, that the best thing for her would be to surrender and to
tell the truth. After that,Carmina is beeing followed by Genaro on the ranch,
he is trying to kill her, but he misses. Carmina finds Pedro and Cristobal and
is telling them,that Genaro murdered Sofia and that he is readdy to get revenge
on everybody, who made his life miserable. Everybody on the ranch are nervous,
because nobody knows what kind of planes is Genaro "cooking" in his
head. Carmina tries to escape with Rosendo, but Genaro is following her. He
kills her with cold blood and Rosendo manages to escape. To be able to escape,
Rosendo now takes hostage Diego. He asks for him, to assure the money and the
car. Diego obays him,because he is affraid that he will kill his mother. Genaro
kidnappes Julieta and to get a revenge on Gabriel, he is planning to kill

Episode 79. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK !!! After grabbing Julieta, Genaro takes her
to the place where he murdered Sofia. He is calling Gabriel to come and see how
he kills Julieta. Lauro warns Pedro about Genaro's attentions and Pedro comes
to rescue. Genaro leans the gun towards Julieta, but surprisingly, he puts the
gun into his mouth and kills himself. Police are catching up on Rosendo &
Diego. Rosendo gets arrested and is beeing put in cell near Nadia. Pedro brings
Genaro's body to the house, Cristobal is crying and is telling to his dead
father that he always loved him. Rosendo admitts to the police that Carmina
killed Marissa and that he was only helping her to remoove the body. Carmina
and Genaro are getting burried, one next to another. The family is attending
the funeral. Julieta comes and watches it sideways. Pedro is visiting Nadia in
the prison to say his goodbyes. Nadia cries. Nadia has been taken in womens
prison in the city. Rocio comes home to the wedding of Julieta & Gabriel.
She encounters Cristobal on the bus station. Pedro and Gabriel are talking
peacefully. Pedro is telling him that he knows how much he loved his mother and
that he is not hating him. Gabriel tells his son, how sorry he is that he
couldn't share his life with Sofia and his son. Julieta is sitting by the river
and cries, she is thinking about the happy days she had with Pedro. Pedro comes
and she is telling him, that she is leaving San Vincente with Gabriel after the
wedding. Ofelia visits Julieta and is wishing her a good luck. Nadia asks the
policeman to remoove her handcuffs, because they are hurting her. She jumps out
the running car and breakes her back. Cristobal comes to the river to say
good-bye to his brother,who is also leaving. Brothers are expressing their love
to eachother. Julieta sits in her wedding dress and she is going with Gabriel
to the church. Gabriel and Julieta are seeing Pedro sitting on his horse afront
of the church. During the ceremony, Julieta is crying, but she manages to
say:"I do", Gabriel repeats the same words...

Julieta is leaving the church. Cristobal is reading Rocio's postcard and is
thinking of her. Pedro is depressed and Julieta is talking to Padre Mateo in
tears, wondering why Gabriel left her. Gabriel also left San Vincente, but he
left a letter to Julieta,saying that he can't allow for his son to suffer as he
suffered for his mother. Arturo says to Rosendo in prison, that he will ask for
maximum sentance for killing Alejandra. Julieta is all alone, Gabriel left and
Pedro is about to leave. Lauro encourages her to go after Pedro. Pedro says his
goodbyes to his grandmother and to his brother. Benjamin informs his father,
that he wants to return to the practice. Pedro is visiting his mothers grave,
for the first time after she's beeing burried, he's picking up the peaces of
tumbstone that angry Genaro broke, also he is thinking of Gabriel's feelings
for Sofia. he is saying to his mother: "I'm sorry,I judged you, please
forgive me". Julieta runs to "El Castillo" in panic, looking for
Pedro. Ofelia is telling her, that he must be alredy gone, but that he had to
make a stop first,so that she still might catch him. Julieta runs to the train
station... Cristobal looks for Rocio and asks her forgiveness. julieta is
calling for Pedro's name, but he's not responding. The train is about to leave.
Julieta is calling him desperately and cries. The train mooves, Julieta sees
Pedro on other part ot train station, he is smiling and waving to her. The day
of the wedding came...Ofelia offered to Juan & Matilde to come back to the
ranch. Sara is talking to Diego in the church peacefully, asking for the
forgiveness. Diego is to become a priest. Julieta & Pedro received a gift
from Gabriel. He finally finished Sofia's portrait, also they are getting the
part of "El Castillo", that Gabriel bought and Julieta is getting a
broche. Ofelia sees Sofia's portrait hanging in the livingroom, where she
belongs. Pedro is looking at his mother's portrait with love. Cristobal &
Rocio are finally kissing and become a couple. Julieta is preparing for her
wedding. Nadia is in prison, sitting in wheelchair, because she hurted her back
while jumping out of the car. Javier comes to visit her and she is asking him
to help her. He refuses and is telling her that Pedro is marrying Julieta after
all. Nadia has been left alone in the prison, in desperation. Everybody are in
the church waiting for Lauro to bring Julieta. They showed up, but also did
Gabriel and is taking Julieta to the oltar. He gives Julieta to his son Pedro.
Gabriel is reading from the bible. Julieta & Pedro are exchanging rings and
they kiss passionatelly. Julieta throws her bouquette and Rocio catches it, in
hope to marry Cristobal. Everybody are finally happy and they are taking a

tells Genaro she wants a divorce. Later she tells her mother that she has been
unhappy during her entire marriage, wants to know why her mother make her marry
Genaro. Ofelia reminds her that it was her father’s decision. S - yes, but you
never defended me. Ofelia admits that she acceded to the wishes of her husband.
Julieta finds the watch Pedro dropped at their fishing spot, but when she tries
to return it, Genaro accuses her of having stolen it. Pedro later apologizes to
her. Carmina tells Sofia that her husband has a lover but doesn’t say who.
Genaro wants Miguel’s land and threatens him when he yet again refuses an
offer. Genaro meets Gabriel and asks him to paint a picture of his wife. Sofia
objects but Genaro insists. Sofia and Gabriel meet by the river. He reminds her
that she left him for a rich man; she asks if he would be happy to know that
she has been miserable. They kiss, break apart. She sees Pedro on the opposite
side of the river. She tells Gabriel to leave her alone. Later, she tries to
explain to Pedro but he tells her that he hates her. She tells him that he can
tell his father if he wants to. Gabriel also tries to explain later but Pedro
won’t listen. Sofia decides that she and Genaro should try again. Genaro tells
Carmina that he will never divorce Sofia. Sofia walks in on the two kissing.
She tells Carmina to leave the house but Carmina says it is Sofia who should
leave. She admits that she has always hated her because she had everything
(money, etc.). Sofia tells her she would willingly give her all her jewels,
etc. One of Genaro’s men sets fire to Miguel’s barn, with him in it. Julieta
sees a man run away but not whom. Gabriel arrives and drags Miguel out but he
is dead. Genaro fires the man; he wanted the land but never asked him to burn
Miguel out let alone kill him. Still he wants to take advantage of the
situation.

USA 8/28-9/1/00.
Genaro and Sofia struggle, the gun goes off and kills her. Rosendo sees it all,
steals money from the purse, takes the gun out of the river. Gabriel finds her
dead and carries her home. Pedro talks to his uncle about his parents. Genaro
accuses Gabriel of killing Sofia. Rosendo blackmails Genaro into hiring him
back as capataz. The police question Genaro and Gabriel. Rosendo gives Genaro
an alibi. Genaro almost succeeds in getting Gabriel lynched but el padre and
the police prevent it. Carmina blackmails Genaro: marry her or she will tell
the police that he knew about the meeting planned between Gabriel and Sofia.
Juan is fired as capataz but stays on because of Ofelia and the boys. Gabriel
decides, at the last moment, to raise Julieta and takes her away with him.
Lauro stays behind. Years pass. Lauro visits Julieta for her graduation; she is
unhappy because Gabriel isn’t there, but he arrives just as she is taking her
oath to be a doctor. He has tickets for her to join him Europe but she wants
him to go back to San Vicente with her and he, finally, agrees. Carmina and
Genaro argue about his inviting his orphaned niece, Nadia, to stay. She never
had children. Rosendo shows an interest in Rocio, the daughter of Juan and
Matilde who is in love with Cristobal. The cows that Cristobal bought are
becoming ill and his father blames him, he doesn’t know anything, etc., etc.
Juan tries to defend him, the cattle were well when bought, but he is ignored.
Nadia arrives and Carmina hates her on sight: she is beautiful and knows that
she is.
Benjamin tells
his father Arturo that he doesn’t want to evict people, that he doesn’t like
the law, that he wants to be a rancher. Genaro asks Arturo to draw up a power
of attorney for him to act on Nadia’s behalf; she is very rich. Nadia sets her
sights on Cristobal which pleases Genaro. He tells Carmina that they need the
money and it will be easier for Nadia to trap an innocent like Cristobal than
Pedro. Carmina agrees to help him. Cristobal invites Nadia to join him and
Alejandra in a walk around the city. Afterwards, Alejandra expresses her fear
and jealousy to her mother who tells her to learn from Nadia. Nadia pretends
not to know how to ride; climbs up behing Cristobal. Rocio sees them. Julieta
visits the burned-out ranch of her grandfather and sees the cattle crossing. El
padre tells Diego he shouldn’t spend so much time working in the church, but
Diego hates to go home where Rosendo lives with, and maltreats, his mother.
Gabriel sees the brooch in Julieta’s room, the one he gave Sofia the day she
was killed and demands to know where she got it. His anger scares Julieta; she
tells him she found it by the river. He apologizes later but doesn’t explain
and Lauro won’t tell her either. Lauro tells Gabriel he must stop feeling
guilty about something that happened so long ago. Marisa calls Gabriel; she’s
furious that he isn’t going to Europe and even more angry that he didn’t even
leave a phone number for her. It took ages to locate him. Julieta overhears and
laughs. She visits the cemetery and meets Ofelia there. Rocio sees Nadia riding
by herself. Julieta visits her old home again and when she sees the cattle
coming through again, led by Pedro, she stops them. They have no right to cross
her private property.

USA 9/4-8/00.
Julieta tries to prevent Pedro from driving his cows through, but he picks her
up and moves her out of the way. Benjamin returns to the office. Rocio gots to
Cristobal’s room and is seen coming out by Carmina and Nadia. Carmina complains
to Matilde about her daughter and forbids her to enter the bedroom again. The
police and Genaro visit Gabriel to advise him that the case is still open.
Julieta tells Lauro and Gabriel about her encounter with Pedro. Gabriel offers
to pay for legal services. Lauro warns him that people will assume that he and
Julieta are a couple, that she is a young woman who could become interested in
Pedro or in himself...which surprises Gabriel. Nadia flirts with Pedro and
makes Cristobal jealous. She goes to his room and they become lovers but she
asks him to keep their “noviazgo” a secret. Diego doesn’t like Rosendo, the man
who lives with his mother Magdalena and tries to avoid him. Rocio asks Gabriel
and Julieta for work; there is none anywhere else. Gabriel says he has none to
offer but Julieta asks her to come back later. Alejandra’s mother asks
Carmina’s help with the engagement of her daughter Alejandra to Cristobal not
knowing that Carmina and Genaro want him to fix on Nadia. Benjamin meets
Julieta and likes her; he offers to serve as her attorney but her father says
no because they represent Genaro. Nadia flirts with Pedro, goes riding with
him. Julieta finds Gabriel unconscious in the barn. He doesn’t know who hit
him; it was Rosendo. Julieta goes to Genaro’s home and confronts him. Carmina
and Nadia while walking among the stables overhear Genaro telling Rosendo he
shouldn’t have hit Gabriel, that he has gone off half-cocked just like he did
years ago when he burned Miguel’s farm and killed him. They hear the women
gasp. Genaro takes Nadia aside and tells her, in essence, that she should
forget what she heard about the past. Gabriel confronts Genaro and warns him
not to hurt Julieta, letting him know therefore just how Genaro can hurt him.
Pablo tries to drive the cattle through again while Julieta and Rocio are
cleaning out the burned down barn. Julieta frightens his horse, he falls off,
gets up, grabs her and kisses her, gets back on his horse and drives the cattle
through. Rocio tells her mother and Ofelia what happened. Ofelia chastises
Pedro: Julieta has a perfect right to protect her property and he had no right
to manhandle her. She worries that he is becoming like his father and begs him
to reconsider his behavior. Pedro tells his father the cattle will take the
long route, under his authority, until the issue of the land is resolved, but
Genaro tells him that he will continue to drive the cattle through. Rocio tells
Alejandra that Cristobal is deceiving her with Nadia; Cristobal overhears and
denies everything. Alejandra believes him. Julieta asks Lauro about his past
and learns that his wife and child died in an accident; shortly thereafter he
met Gabriel. Pedro meets Gabriel with Mateo and, on sight, hits him; Gabriel
hits him back. Genaro finds Rocio in the barn and tries to rape her. Juan stops
him and they fight. Genaro warns him that if he accuses him publicly, he will
tell everybody that Rocio is a prostitute and all will believe him. Juan tells
Matilde they must leave and they do. Rosendo shows Genaro proof that the cows
were poisoned, and they accuse Juan. Genaro tells Ofelia and Mateo that Juan is
guilty but neither believes him. Nadia tells Carmina that she prefers Pedro. Ofelia,
Cristobal and Pedro believe the poisoner was Rosendo. Julieta sees Pedro and
Nadia by the river. When Pedro sees her, he kisses Nadia. Cristobal sees them
kissing.

9/11-15/00. At the fiesta to introduce Nadia, Julieta introduces herself, tells
all that her land is not to be trespassed, throws a punch at Nadia, and leaves
alone. Carmina tells Nadia to be careful: Julieta is interested in Pedro.
Gabriel waits up for Julieta and is furious when he hears what she did. He asks
her if his is how she expects to earn the confidence of her people as a doctor.
When Pedro overhears Cristobal telling Nadia that Pedro will have nothing to do
with her when he knows the truth, Pedro asks what it is. Nadia confesses that
she ran away from her novio without telling him. Pedro tells her he will
forgive her but that what he most values in a person is honesty. Cristobal
breaks up with Alejandra. When the latter confronts Nadia, Nadia tells her that
the woman Cristobal likes is Julieta. Ofelia warns Carmina that one day Genaro
may cheat on her as he did on her cousin. Carmina guesses that Genaro tried
something with Rocio and confronts him but he admits nothing. Mateo tries to
find work for Juan but then he is arrested. Julieta tells Gabriel that she
plans to stay forever. Marisa arrives. Alejandra confronts Julieta and slaps
her. Marisa finds the picture of Sofia. Magdalena replaces Matilde in the
kitchen. Marisa accuses Gabriel of loving Julieta. Mateo reprimands Genaro for
all the bad that he has done; Genaro punches him in the stomach. Cristobal and
Pedro go to the police and defend Juan. He is released. Marisa asks Julieta if
she knows who the woman in the painting is. Julieta makes Gabriel tell her the
story and she learns how they fell in love, how Sofia married Genaro, how their
love didn’t die, and that he is responsible for her death because it wouldn’t
have happened if he hadn’t returned. He admits that the brooch Julieta found
was Sofia’s. Julieta gives the brooch to Ofelia. Rosendo tells Magdalena he
doesn’t want her working in the same place where he works and hits her. Nadia
signs the power of attorney but tells Genaro that most of the money is in a CD
(I think) and can’t be touched for a while. Gabriel tells Marisa to leave.
Carmina meets Gabriel outside the church and suggests that she knows he didn’t
kill Sofia but doesn’t know who did. Carmina tells Genaro to make sure that
Nadia really is wealthy. Rocio tells Julieta that she loves Cristobal. Diego
tries to avenge himself on Rosendo but the latter strikes him down. Pedro finds
him in the barn; somebody calls Julieta to attend him and Pedro learns that she
is a doctor. Pedro takes Julieta home and Gabriel sees them. Gabriel visits
Mateo and confesses that he loves Julieta as a woman.

López Laberintos de pasión Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Carmina, en complicidad con Nadia se encargó
de que el chisme de que Gabriel y Julieta eran amantes, corriera por el pueblo
como pólvora. A tal grado de que cuando
llegó a oídos de la joven doctora, la enfureció tanto, pues suficiente tenía de
que se pensara que por culpa de ella, Cristóbal había terminado con
Alejandra. En tanto, Gabriel finalmente
descubre que lo que siente por Julieta no es un amor de padre, sino de un
hombre hacia una mujer. Horrorizado se lo comenta a Mateo, ya que él siempre
vio a Julieta como la niña que protegió al quedar huérfana. Sin embargo, nunca supo en qué momento se
dio cuenta que Julieta ya no era aquella chiquilla, sino toda una hermosa
joven. Quizás lo descubrió cuando supo que Benjamín la cortejaba, o al ver el
brillo de sus ojos cuando ella hablaba de Pedro, aunque sus palabras fueran
para despreciarlo. O tal vez cuando
Marisa sintió unos celos horribles y le echó en cara que pretendía dejarla a un
lado porque se había enamorado de Julieta.
El caso es que Gabriel estaba celoso de cuanto hombre se le acercara a
su protegida pero también tenía miedo decirle a Julieta lo que sentía por ella
por temor a ser rechazado y que ella lo odiara por el resto de sus días. Por
otro lado, Nadia sigue jugando con fuego al coquetear con Cristóbal y a la vez
ser novia de Pedro. A Genaro le interesa que su sobrina se case con su hijo
mayor. pues El Castillo está pasando por una mala situación económica. Según Genaro, una vez que Nadia reciba el
dinero que le dejó su padre, él podrá manejarlo de acuerdo a sus necesidades
con el poder que firmó su sobrina, aunque Carmina duda que exista tal
herencia. Alejandra por su parte, compromete
a Cristóbal cuando Arturo los encuentra en una situación embarazosa en su
propia casa. Arturo le exige que debe cumplir con su hija casándose
inmediatamente, a lo que el muchacho se niega.
Magdalena da una nueva oportunidad a Rosendo, sin embargo Diego no
piensa lo mismo y se va de la casa. También Genaro le regresa el puesto de
capataz en El Castillo y como Pedro no está de acuerdo, éste deja de trabajar
en el rancho. Mateo quiere abrirle los
ojos a Pedro para que vea que Nadia no es la muchacha que él cree y que Julieta
vale mil veces más que ella. Pedro comienza a dudar pues también Cristóbal le
dice lo mismo.

9/18-22/00. Julieta and Gabriel argue, and she spends the night in a sleeping
bag at her abuelo’s house. Magdalena tells Diego that she won’t forgive
Rosendo. but Mateo later warns him that such changes of heart can be temporary.
Carmina tells Nadia that Julieta isn’t a threat because she and Gabriel are
lovers. Nadia visits Julieta and tells her to stay away from Pedro. Rocio
visits Diego. Genaro admits to Arturo that he needs Nadia’s money, and Arturo
reminds him that as executor he can’t use the money for himself. Pedro and
Nadia kiss. Carmina tells Sara that Julieta is Gabriel’s lover. Sara spreads
the gossip. Benjamin reprimands her. Lauro and Magdalena talk. Julieta
tells Gabriel that she loves him like a father. He dashes off to Marisa and
they make love. Benjamin tells Julieta about the gossip. Nadia repeats the
gossip to Pedro who says he doesn’t care. Cristobal admits to Mateo that he
loves Nadia although he knows that she isn’t worth it. Rocio admits to
Cristobal that she loves him. Rosendo walks in on dinner and tells all that the
night Sofia was killed she was planning to run away with Gabriel. Genaro admits
that it is true. Afterwards, Rosendo threatens Genaro with more revelations if
he doesn’t rehire him. Genaro does. Ofelia visits Mateo and tells him that
Genaro know about what Sofia planned. She asks if he realizes what that means,
that Genaro would do anything to prevent it. When Alejandra’s parents go out,
she calls Cristobal and tells him she has to see him. When he arrives, she
drops her robe and embraces him. Arturo arrives and finds his naked daughter in
Cristobal’s arms. She tells her mother it wasn’t the first time. Arturo goes to
Genaro and demands that Cristobal marry his daughter. Pedro asks his father why
he took Rosendo back, what does he know. He advises him that if Rosendo stays,
he will leave. Marisa has her luggage moved into Gabriel’s room which makes him
angry although he defends the change to Lauro. Julieta and Rocio plan her
office; she decides to get a mortgage on her land to finance the office but
needs to confirm her ownership of the land. Carmina makes an appointment with
Gabriel and warns him to keep Julieta away from Pedro for her safety. Cristobal
refuses to agree to marry Alejandra because he isn’t guilty but neither his
father nor Arturo believe him. Ofelia suggests her suspicions to Genaro; he
says he only knew about the flight because he later found the power of attorney
that Sofia had prepared for Ofelia. Ofelia tells him that the guilty person
will suffer. Marisa visits Carmina and asks why she called Gabriel; Genaro,
entering the room, asks the same question. Carmina refuses to answer in front
of Marisa and she leaves. Carmina explains to Genaro and he threatens her: he
won’t lose another woman to Gabriel. Diego tells Juan that he likes Rocio and
wants to court her; Juan agrees but says it is really up to Rocio. Rosendo begs
Magdalena’s forgiveness and moves back in. Diego moves out. Cristobal explains
to Mateo what happened with Alejandra. When his father confronts him again, he
asks if he should marry Nadia since she is the woman he has had sex with.

Pedro overhears Carmina and Nadia talking about the rumor they started that
Gabriel and Julieta are lovers and confronts them. Each blames the
other. He goes to Julieta, apologizes, they kiss and declare their love. The
happy Julieta tells Lauro but not Gabriel. Pedro tells Ofelia who is happy with
the news. Nadia apologizes to Pedro, but he tells her that it is over. Nadia
takes an overdose and is found in the barn. Lauro and Juan put up a fence
around Julieta’s property. ? brings Julieta to El Castillo to treat Nadia; Julieta
enters the room to find Nadia kissing Pedro, examines her, later tells Pedro
that nobody could die from taking the pills she took. She tells him she never
wants to see her again. Later he goes to her home, forces her to listen, kisses
her, and Gabriel enters to find them on Julieta’s bed. He is furious. Rosendo
destroys the fence. Pedro admits to Benjamin that he is the man in Julieta’s
life. Gabriel starts to work again on the painting of Sofia. Marisa tells Pedro
that Gabriel loves Julieta as a woman although she doesn’t know it. Marisa
admits her personal interest in the matter but suggests to him that he marry
Julieta as soon as possible. Cristobal tells Alejandra to take care of the
marriage arrangements herself. She has what she wanted but she must know that
he doesn’t love her. Alejandra confesses the truth to her mother but her mother
says it doesn’t matter; the wedding has been announced and Cristobal is rich.
Ofelia talks with the police about Sofia’s death and learns that she was shot
with a common gun. Later she walks into Genaro’s study and finds him with just
such a gun. She tells him that such a gun was used to kill her daughter. He
tells her to go the police if she thinks he killed Sofia. She says she won’t
put her grandsons through that unless she is sure. Nadia tells Pedro she wants
to be his friend. Pedro docks Rosendo’s pay to reimburse Julieta for the damage
to the fence. Marisa leaves and warns Pedro that he will miss her. Pedro
insists that Lauro take the money. Rodio tells Diego that she loves Cris. Pedro
tells Gabriel he won’t let anybody get between him and Julieta. Gabriel warns
Pedro not to hurt Julieta. Ofelia tells Pedro that he is wrong to blame either
his mother or Gabriel, that Sofia loved him but her father hated Gabriel’s
father because he loved Ofelia. Sofia married a man she didn’t love. Pedro says
that doesn’t change things. Carmina visits Gabriel again. When he is called
away because of Julieta’s accident, she goes upstairs and pulls the canvas off
its stand. Nadia reprimands Rosendo for failing to kill Julieta (when her horse
fell, she was bruised but it was Rocio whose arm was broken). Genaro sees them
arguing and Rosendo tells Genaro he refused to do what Nadia wanted: hurt
Julieta. Genaro warns Nadia not to try anything like that again. Cris learns
that part of the ranch is mortgaged; his father sees him with the account book
and says he didn’t tell him because he is useless. Cris gets drunk. Julieta
finds him and tries to comfort him. Pedro sees the two and misinterprets. Cris
tells Pedro he hates him, gets in his car and dashes off. Pedro follows. Cris’s
car turns a corner and runs into another truck.
La Opinion. 10/1/00. Solo telenovelas Laura M. López Laberintos
de pasión Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Lauro no tiene ni qué
preguntar a Gabriel lo que éste siente por Julieta, ya que los hechos hablan
por sí solos. Su actitud que últimamente ha tomado con Marisa le hace pensar a
ésta que efectivamente Gabriel está enamorado de su protegida. Sin pensar en lo
que podría suceder después, Marisa cita a Pedro para decirle que no permita que
Gabriel le quite a Julieta. El sabe que la mujer no lo hace por ellos, sino
porque tiene miedo de perder a Gabriel. Gabriel estaba decidido a irse del
pueblo, pues Lauro y Mateo tenían mucha razón... lo mejor era que se fuera, así
permitiría que Julieta hiciera su propia vida, ya que sus raíces estaban ahí,
en San Vicente. Mientras tanto, Nadia intentó quitarse la vida después de que
Pedro terminó con ella. Y como siempre, como Julieta era el doctor más cerca de
El Castillo, fue ella quien tuvo que atenderla. La escena que presenció al
entrar al cuarto no le impidió continuar con su labor médica, pero sí como
pareja de Pedro. Era demasiado claro lo que había visto y no necesitaba de
explicaciones. El beso que él y su prima se estaban dando lo decía todo. La
relación apenas iniciada entre Pedro y Julieta no podía terminar así...
convencido por su abuela, Pedro busca a la muchacha para pedirle perdón. Como
Julieta no quiso bajar a la sala, Pedro subió hasta su recámara y ahí fue donde
los encontró Gabriel, quien, furioso por los celos, comienza a forcejear con
Pedro. Al día siguiente, junto al río, Pedro le dice a Julieta que la ama y no
permitirá que nadie se interponga entre ellos. También le dice que Gabriel está
enamorado de ella. Nadia por su parte, también intentará quitar a Julieta de
enmedio. Por otro lado, doña Ofelia le dice a Genaro que una pistola igual como
la que tiene en la mano fue la que mató a Sofía, según el comandante. Este
detalle hace temer a Genaro de un día se descubra la verdad. Sara se quiere
morir cuando el día de la despedida de soltera, Alejandra dice frente a todo
mundo que no se casará, porque todo lo que dijo fue inventado para obligar a
Cristóbal a casarse con ella. Arturo entonces decide enviarla a un internado.
Nadia amenaza a Rosendo con decir que fue él quien mató al abuelo de Julieta si
no le ayuda a quitar a ésta de su camino.
USA 10/2-6/00. Pedro takes his brother to the hospital and
blames Julieta for the accident. He tells her he never wants to see her again
and won’t let her treat Cristobal. Nadia comforts him. Carmina talks with
Gabriel by the river and kisses him. Alejandra talks to Diego. Her father is
determined to send her away. She runs away from home but Nadia won’t let her
stay in her house and Mateo says she can’t stay at the church because it
wouldn’t be right. She finds a small room. Cristobal comes out of the coma and
discovers that he can’t feel his legs. Julieta decides to go to Europe with
Gabriel. Rocio tells her that she is a quitter. Carmina tells Genaro she wants
nothing more to do with his plan for Pedro and Nadia, but she appears pleased
when Nadia escorts a very drunk Pedro to his bed. He is shocked to find her in
his bed the next morning. Carmina overhears Gabriel tells Mateo of his love for
Julieta and confronts him. Later, Mateo asks her to keep quiet (fat chance).
Arturo yells at Alejandra when he finds her talking on the street to Diego.
Diego defends her. At home, Benjamin defends his sister against her father and
later tells her that Julieta loves Pedro not Cristobal. Genaro talks to Arturo
re the mortgage; his only suggestion is that he sell part of the ranch but
Genaro says he can’t do that without Ofelia’s agreement. Pedro tells Carmina
that it is over with Julieta. Carmina sets up a meeting with Julieta but when
she tells Gabriel he goes to the meeting instead. Rosendo sees Carmina and
Gabriel talking by the river and threatens to tell Genaro. When Genaro
overhears the threat, he asks what is going on. Carmina says Rosendo saw her
with Julieta and Rosendo agrees. Juan tells Ponciana how Genaro tried to rape
Rocio. Pedro admits to Nadia that he still loves Julieta but it is over between
them. Diego tells Mateo what Rosendo insinuated about Rocio and wants to know
if it is true; Mateo asks him how he could believe anything Rosendo said.
Cristobal goes home. Pedro overhears him talking to Julieta, grabs Nadia,
enters the room and announces that they will marry. Cristobal calls Julieta to
his bedside and asks her to marry him.

Arturo decidió enviar a su hija a la ciudad de México después de la bochornosa
escena que hiciera el día de su despedida de soltera. El no quería que su
familia fuera el centro de las habladurías de San Vicente porque Alejandra
decidió no casarse con Cristóbal. Alejandra lo amaba demasiado pero no podía
soportar que él se casara presionado. Mientras tanto, la relación entre Julieta
y Pedro estaba a punto de terminar por los celos y la inseguridad de él.
Primero fue con Gabriel, ya que Carmina y Nadia se encargaron de regar el
chisme por el pueblo de que él y Julieta eran amantes y después, con su propio
hermano. Entre Cristóbal y Julieta existía una gran amistad, por eso fue que
una noche Pedro los encontró juntos y presenció una escena muy tierna que nada
tenía que ver con infidelidad. Sin embargo, Pedro se imaginó que todo lo que se
decía de su novia era cierto. Era una noche lluviosa y Cristóbal sentía que
debía hablar con Julieta, ya que lo que traía dentro sólo ella lo podía
entender. Cristóbal no sabía por qué Genaro siempre lo hizo menos y aprovechaba
cualquier momento para menospreciarlo. Además estaba la presión de su boda con
Alejandra, pues éste ignoraba que ya la muchacha la había cancelado. El caso es
que Julieta abrazaba y le daba un beso en la frente a Cristóbal cuando llegó
Pedro. Pedro ni siquiera se molestó en preguntar el porqué de esa actitud, sólo
se limitó a juzgar por lo que vio. Julieta trató de explicarle, sin embargo, no
logró que su novio la escuchara. Cristóbal por su parte, sumamente enojado con
su hermano, arranca la camioneta y sale a gran velocidad, ignorando los gritos
de Pedro. La lluvia y lo oscuro de la noche, cooperaron al accidente de
Cristóbal. Después de casi 24 horas en coma y teniendo a todos muy nerviosos,
Cristóbal se recupera. Sin embargo, es ahora un Cristóbal muy diferente, nada
parecido al muchacho noble y respetuoso. Y no es para menos... el accidente lo
dejó paralítico y aunque el médico le dice que con tratamiento especial, puede
recuperar el movimiento de sus piernas, no le cambia en nada su reacción
grosera, incluso con su propia abuela. La única persona que quiere a su lado
por el momento es Julieta, a quien Genaro y el propio Pedro trataron de negarle
la entrada a la habitación del hospital. Doña Ofelia se encargó de que Genaro
le permitiera el paso con sólo advertirle que podía dividir El Castillo. Por
otro lado, Alejandra se había escapado de la casa para evitar que su padre la
enviara a la ciudad. Mateo le pide a Genoveva que le permita quedarse por lo
menos esa noche. Al día siguiente Arturo va y la busca y a punta de golpes, la
regresa a casa. Benjamín amenaza a su padre con marcharse él también si insiste
en enviar a Alejandra fuera de San Vicente. Nadia en tanto toma ventaja de la
situación cuando Pedro, dolido por el rechazo de su hermano, llega bastante
tomado y ella muy amablemente le ayuda a llevarlo a su cuarto.

USA, 10/9-13/00.
Pedro announces he will marry Nadia; Cris asks Julieta to marry him and she
says no. Matilde warns Gabriel not to trust Carmina. Nadia tells Genaro there
may be a double wedding. Ofelia tries and fails to change Pedro’s mind,
although he admits he loves Julieta. But he believes that Cris loves her too.
Genaro visits Julieta and grabs her; Gabriel hits him. Genaro tells Rosend to
kill him; but Laura arrives in time to save him. Rosendo pumps Genoveva for
information about Magdalena and learns she wasn’t where she said she was. Rocio
talks to Pedro to change his mind and is angry when she learns about Cris’s
proposal. Julietat asks matilde about her mother and father but Matilde says
she never knew them. Lauro meets Magdalena and Rosendo sees them together; he
waits for Lauro and beats him badly. Benjamin tells Julieta the papers are
ready. Rocio is angry with Julieta, spends the night with her parents, later
talks with Julieta and they make up. Lauro tells Gabriel and Mateo he doesn’t
know who beat him up but later confesses the truth to Mateo who tells Ofelia.
Gabriel assumes it was Genaro or Rosendo and goes to his house with a rifle.
Diego tells Magdalena about Lauro. Mateo refuses to marry Pedro and Nadia.
Rosendo tells Genaro he beat up Lauro because of Magdalena. Arturo forbids
Alejandro to see Diego. Javier Medina calls nadia. Rocio kisses Diego. Lauro
tells Magdalena they had better not see each other again for her safety. Pedro
meets Julieta by the river and tells her he can’t take her away from Cristobal.
She tells him there is nothing there and he should ask Cris outright, which he
does; but the angry and hurt Cris phrases his answers in such a way that Pedro
will assume the wrong thing. Ofelia gives Julieta Sofia’s brooch as a going
away present. A drunk Carmina visits Gabriel and tells Julieta the truth;
Gabriel finally admits it is true and Julieta runs to her new home and spends
the night there. When she takes the brooch to Gabriel she learns that he has
left. Pedro asks Benjamin to be his witness and Nadia asks Alejandra. Benjamin
learns that the ranch is partly mortgaged and tells his sister he wonders about
the honesty of their father. Genaro suggests to Pedro that they marry with
bienes comunales and he says that is up to Nadia; but she agrees, quite
readily. Rocio and her family move in with Julieta and contribute their
furniture. Javier Medina arrives, invited to the wedding by Carmina. It turns
out that he is Nadia’s husband and just out of jail. Genaro keeps Cris from
telling Pedro the truth, tells him they need Nadia’s money. As soon as the
civil ceremony is over, all hear a shot from upstairs.
10/16-/20. The
family go upstairs and find Cris with a gun in his hand. Pedro and he fight for
the gun, it goes off, Pedro is wounded. Genaro calls Julieta. As Carmina tells
him later, she knows he can’t afford for the police to get hold of that
particular gun. Genaro hears Nadia calling the police with the news and doesn’t
stop her in time. Arturo visits Magdalena and tells her that Diego, their son,
can’t continue to see Alejandra. She agrees, but tells him there is nothing but
friendship between the two. The police arrive at the house but Pedro stands up
to greet them and says it was a crank call. Benjamin asks his father how Genaro
could buy Julieta’s land. He says he doesn’t know. Cris asks Julieta to help
him recuperate and apologizes for his behavior. Ponciano sees Nadia and Javier
and is worried; he tells Juan. Carmina flirts with Javier. Julieta realizes she
needs money and goes to Genaro. Then she asks Benjamin’s help in valuing the
property and he tells her Genaro lacks the money. Magdalena goes to Lauro for
advice. Genaro asks Ofelia for a loan and she refuses. Rosendo and Javier drink
together. Benjamin overhears his father and Genaro talking about how to get
around Ofelia and threatens them. Pedro and Julieta talk after he hears of her
plan to sell the land; she tells him he was right about Gabriel but
rejects his kisses and tells him to leave. Rebecca, Julieta’s friend from school,
arrives: she will be helping Cristobal. Rocio is jealous and there isn’t room
in the house for her so Lauro puts her up. Benjamin tells Pedro about the
mortgage and the plans he overheard. Arturo denies there was anything illegal.
Nadia and Javier make a bet about his ability to win Julieta. Pedro confronts
Genaro and Cris admits that the mortgage does exist, that he knew, and that he
had an intimate relationship with Nadia. Genaro and Nadia deny it. Benjamin
leaves his house. Genaro explains the financial situation to Carmina: they will
lose his part of the ranch if he can’t pay the mortgage. Genaro tells Carmina
and Nadia, separately, that they must convince Pedro that Cris is lying. Cris
tells Ofelia. and she tries to send Nadia but Genaro refuses. Carmina tries to
get info from Javier who tries to ingratiate himself with Julieta. Magdalena
tells Lauro about Diego’s father and her fears about Alejandra. Diego tells
Lauro that he and Alejandra kisses each other. Pedro talks to Mateo. Cris tells
him to fight for Julieta but when he goes to her house, Javier is returning her
house key to her and asking for a chance. In front of Pedro, Julietat tells
Javier that she is interested in going out with him. Pedro and Javier fight over Julieta. Rosendo threatens Lauro
again. Julieta learns that Gabriel’s exhibitio was a disaster. Genaro tells
Rosendo to frighten Benjamin. Pedro asks Benjamin to handle his divorce.
Rosendo accidentally kills Alejandra, entering Ben’s room, rather than Ben.

La boda civil de Pedro y Nadia se llevó a cabo en una ceremonia con un reducido
grupo de invitados en El Castillo. Mientras en otra parte del pueblo, Julieta
lloraba sin cesar en la iglesia. El padre Mateo no asistió al casamiento por no
estar de acuerdo con ello, sin embargo, tampoco podía hacer nada para impedirla
ya que lo que sabía de su sobrina, fue dicho por Cristóbal bajo acto de
confesión. Mateo no pudo convencer a Pedro de que Julieta lo amaba a él
realmente, ya que el muchacho también creía en las palabras de Nadia. Ni
siquiera doña Ofelia pudo lograrlo. Cristóbal por su parte, casi estuvo a punto
de impedir la boda, sin embargo, eran tan débil y por temor a su padre, no lo
hizo. Sin embargo, segundos después de que el juez declaró marido y mujer a la
pareja, se escuchó un disparo. Pedro subió hasta el despacho de donde provino
el ruido y vio a su hermano sosteniendo el arma, por coincidencia, la misma que
uso Genaro para matar a Sofía. Cristóbal estaba dispuesto a quitarse la vida
pero Pedro avanzó para quitársela. Ambos forcejearon y Pedro fue herido de

Una vez que Pedro pasó el peligro, nadie pudo detener a Cristóbal de decirle a
su hermano lo que pasó entre él y Nadia. Genaro tampoco pudo evitar que
Cristóbal dijera que la mitad de El Castillo estaba embargado y por eso que fue
se apresuró su boda creyendo que Nadia sería el salvavidas. Pedro le dijo a
Nadia que haría lo posible por anular su matrimonio, además que no quería
cruzar palabra con ella nunca más y por si fuera poco, la corrió del rancho.
Por otro lado, el supuesto licenciado hace una apuesta con Nadia de que
conquistaría a Julieta, y que si así sucedía, Nadia tendría que hacer todo lo
que él le pidiera. En tanto, Magdalena decide abandonar a Rosendo, mientras que
le dice a Arturo que haga algo para que Alejandra y Diego no se miren más, ya
que el muchacho está muy entusiasmado y eso no puede ser porque son hermanos.
Pedro busca a Julieta para pedirle perdón pero se encuentra con que Javier en
ese preciso momento le está pidiendo una oportunidad para conquistarla. Julieta,
sin saber que Pedro está enterado de toda la mentira de Nadia, acepta a Javier.

Magdalena, not knowing that Alejandra is dead, tells Diego that Arturo is his
father. Arturo and Julieta find the dead Alejandra. Pedro gets a fever. but
Nadia won’t let Julieta treat him. The police declare Alejandra’s death a
murder and start questioning Javier and others. Rosendo denies to Genaro that
he was responsible. Javier threatens Rosendo that he will tell the police what
he saw. But later Rosendo sees Carmina leave him late at night, after making
love to him. Pedro and Julieta kiss by the river, but the next time they meet
she tells him it isn’t right and gives him his mother’s brooch. Cris tells
Nadia that his father needs her money because of a mortgage. Diego promises to
Arturo not to say anything to Ben or his wife. The police tell Genaro that
Javier was in jail for fraud against his suegro; he was married to Nadia and
the divorce may not be final yet. Julieta gets a message from Lauro that he has
a surprise for her. She goes to the house, upstairs, looking around when Javier
enters, finds her and tries to rape her. Gabriel arrives and beats him up. She
kisses him and tells him she would like to try a change in their relationship.
Then Marisa appears and announces their engagement. In a restaurant, Rebecca
bumps into Benjamin and spills his food. Nadia announces to Julieta and Pedro,
visiting her in the consultorio, that she is pregnant with his baby. Arturo
tells Genaro he will no longer be his lawyer, he will no longer engage in dirty
practices. Nadia asks Ofelia’s help with Pedro, for the sake of the baby.
Ofelia tells Pedro he should think carefully about his decision; the child is
innocent. Pedro tells Nadia he will stay with her at least until the baby is
born, but they won’t live together as man and wife.
La Opinion. 10/29/00. [Resumen de la
semana pasada.] Solo televenovelas Laura M. López Domingo, 29 de octubre de
2000 Laberintos de pasión Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. La
actitud de Cristóbal había cambiado un poco para bien. Quizás lo que ayudó a
esto, era que Nadia estaba a punto de ser descubierta. Todo era mentira de que
se refugió en El Castillo porque necesitaba del cariño de su familia. La verdad
era otra y Javier terminaría por decirla finalmente, ya que para él las cosas
tampoco pintaban muy bien. Todo comenzó después de la muerte de Alejandra en el
cuarto del hotel del pueblo. Según el comandante, la muchacha murió por
asfixia, por lo que se especula que su muerte no fue accidental, sino por
equivocación. Benjamín pensó que tal vez él era a quien querían matar, sin
embargo, don Arturo le dice que no había motivo por qué quisieran hacerlo. El
caso es que la muerte de Alejandra sirvió para que Diego supiera que Arturo era
su padre y por lo tanto, la joven de quien se había enamorado... su hermana.
Sara, sin embargo, le echa toda la culpa a Diego, aunque ella ignora quién es
Diego en realidad, puesto que Sara no ha querido salir de la casa ni aceptar la
muerte de su hija. Por otro lado, Nadia no quiere por nada del mundo ver a
Julieta cerca de Pedro, aunque éste la necesite como médico. Sin embargo, Pedro
ahora que sabe toda la verdad, hará todo lo posible por no perder a Julieta,
quien ha sido el amor de su vida. Cristóbal por su parte ha comenzado su
rehabilitación con la ayuda de Rebeca, doctora amiga de Julieta, quien además
de tener un carácter muy alegre, es muy bonita. Rocío se pone celosa de la
doctora, sin embargo, ésta la saca de la duda y le dice que le ayudará a estar
cerca de Cristóbal enseñándole cómo se le debe dar la terapia. Genaro, furioso
con su sobrina por haberle mentido acerca de Javier y de por qué había llegado
hasta el rancho, le reclama. Ella una vez que se quitó la máscara le dice que a
ambos les conviene que siga casada con Pedro, de lo contrario perderá su parte
del rancho. Lo que Genaro ignora es que Nadia no tiene ni un centavo de la
supuesta herencia que le dejó su padre. Carmina le dice a Pedro que hable con
su abuela para que ayude a Genaro, pero a doña Ofelia no le interesa en lo más
mínimo salvar a su yerno de la ruina. Javier en tanto, no piensa irse del
pueblo sin antes conseguir de Julieta lo que tanto desea. Esa noche que quiso
abusar de la muchacha, casi estaba a punto de hacerlo pero afortunadamente
llegó Gabriel como caído del cielo y le propina tremenda golpiza.

Laberintos de pasión. Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00
p.m. Javier tuvo que irse del pueblo sin lograr su cometido... seducir a
Julieta, aunque sí logró que muchas cosas se descubrieran acerca de Nadia lo
cual afectaría de alguna forma su relación con Pedro. Nadia comienza a sentir
los síntomas del embarazo, y por supuesto, atribuye, o mejor dicho... desea que
ese hijo sea de Pedro para poder retenerlo a su lado. Doña Ofelia no estaba muy
contenta con esa noticia ni mucho menos Pedro, sin embargo el muchacho escucha
los consejos de su abuela para que permanezca al lado de Nadia por ese hijo que
no tiene la culpa de nada. Cuando Julieta se entera, decide terminar de una vez
por todas sus sueños de ser feliz al lado de Pedro, pues un hijo es algo muy
serio para ella, pues sabe la necesidad de tener un hogar y una familia. Pedro
piensa esperar hasta que nazca el bebé y ya después decidirá qué es lo que
hará, mientras tanto la idea de Cristóbal no le parece muy descabellada...
saber si en realidad el hijo que espera Nadia es de él o de su hermano. Sin esperar
mucho tiempo, Pedro hace cita con un médico ya que la misma Nadia ignora cuanto
tiempo tiene de embarazo, sin embargo justo horas antes de la cita, Nadia
presenta una hemorragia. Pedro se preocupa, mas no por Nadia, sino por su hijo,
pero para ella es lo de menos... lo que importa es que su marido está ahí,
junto con ella y no tras Julieta. Por otro lado, Gabriel creyó que después de
tanto tiempo sin ver a Julieta y de haberse comprometido con Marisa, pudo
olvidarse de su amor de hombre por su protegida, se dio cuenta que no era así.
Julieta, en un momento de confusión de sentimientos, busca a Gabriel y le pide
que se den una oportunidad para amarse y lo besa apasionadamente. Gabriel se
queda aún más confundido. Las cosas quedarán muy claras cuando Rocío, sin
pensar en las consecuencias, le dice a Gabriel frente a Marisa que Julieta le
confesó que lo ama. Para esto, cuando Julieta se entera, se molesta mucho con
Rocío y le dice que Matilde tiene razón y lo mejor es no asistir más al

ayuden legalmente a Magdalena y pueda sacar a Rosendo de su casa y de su vida.
Diego por su parte, se siente muy contento de que Benjamín ya sepa que son
hermanos, y sólo espera que puedan tratarse como tal. Genaro aún tiene
esperanzas de que Nadia pueda ayudarlo económicamente, por eso habla con Arturo
y le pide que lo siga representando como su abogado. Este le dice que lo hará,
pero todo dentro de la ley, pues desde que murió Alejandra, el hombre ha

10/30-11/3/00. Gabriel learns about Pedro’s marriage and the baby. Benjamin
asks Julieta to give him a chance. Rebeca and Marisa talk. Sara tries to prove
that Diego killed Alejandra. Arturo confesses to her and to Benjamin that Diego
is his son. Pedro tells Julieta he will stay with Nadia; she understands and
agrees. Carmina tells Genaro that Nadia is pregnant. Benjamin visits Diego who
tells him he would like to be his friend but doesn’t want to have anything to
do with his father. Cris and Pedro talk about the baby; it could be Cris’s.
Marisa taunts Julieta. Mateo tells Carmina that Gabriel is engaged to Marisa.
Ponciano tells Pedro that Julieta is having trouble getting patients because
she is seen as the amante of the man who killed Sofia. Sara tells Arturo she
wants a divorce. Genaro asks Nadia for money; she says she can’t touch it for a
year. Lauro tells Gabriel he loves Magdalena. Julieta tells Cris she won’t
return to Pedro under any circumstances; he declares his love for her and Rocio
overhears. Julieta tells Cris never to return to the office, to take his
therapy at home and manages to make up with Rocio, admitting to her that her
jealousy of Marisa made her realize that she may be in love with Gabriel as
well as with Pedro. Matilde asks Julieta to distance herself from Rocio who
wants to be like her and can’t. A distraught Carmina calls Marisa and tells her
Gabriel will never be hers. Later they meet in a restaurant and Carmina repeats
the same threat. Magdalena tells Lauro she loves him but can’t see him anymore
or Rosendo will kill him. She asks Ofelia for help in getting rid of Rosendo
but refuses to go to Benjamin. Ofelia tells Benjamin and asks him to recommend
somebody. Nadia starts bleeding but does not lose the baby. Marisa is jealous
of Carmina. Julieta realizes that the patients she is seeing all come from the
Castillo. Rocio tells Gabriel, and Marisa, that Julieta loves him. Marisa tells
Matilde not to let her daughter enter the house again. Cris tells Pedro that
Julieta won’t return to him. Rocio confesses to her mother and Julieta what she
did. Julieta tells her not to return to the consultorio, that her only interest
in telling Gabriel was to leave the road open to her with Cris. Gabriel visits
Julieta’s office and she confesses that she is falling in love with him. They
kiss just as Pedro enters to return the brooch to her (which his grandmother
had told him was given to his mother by Gabriel). Julieta tells them that she
belongs to neither: the one is married, the other is engaged. Pedro returns the
brooch to Gabriel and tells Mateo that he can’t forget her. Marisa gives
Gabriel an ultimatum: follow her to Mexico and it is over, both as lover and
representative. Arturo offers to help Magdalena get rid of Rosendo. A drunk
Marisa tells a café full of people that the innocent Julieta is a “golfa”.
Pedro gets drunk and is taken home by Rosendo. Marisa meets Carmina by the
river. Carmina threatens her with a broken glass, accidentally cuts her throat.

[election coverage Tues night, no tape for Friday] Rosendo appears, yet again,
at the river as Marisa dies and disposes of the body. Gabriel goes to the
police to report Marisa missing. Julieta and Rocio make up but Rocio decides to
leave the pueblo. Diego and Magdalena find a bloody kerchief on the table and
she fears for Lauro but he is ok. Rosendo asks for payment from Carmina.
Gabriel suspects Carmina and accuses her in front of Genaro. Pedro keeps his
father from continuing to beat up Carmina. Mateo keeps Pedro from shooting
Gabriel. Rosendo denies knowing anything to Genaro, is given the job of
following Carmina everywhere. Juan and his wife leave Julieta’s home; Rebecca
moves in. Julieta tells her that her love for Pedro is passionate, for Gabriel
tender. Alejandra’s mother still blames Julieta for her daughter’s death.
Ponciano confesses to Julieta that Pedro was responsible for her patients, but
then a new one, not from the Castillo, arrives. Pedro keeps Genaro from killing
Gabriel.

Telemundo La telenovela Estrellita,
producción del cineasta Francisco Lombardi, se estrenó la semana pasada en
la televisión peruana, con la actriz colombiana Carolina Sabino y un elenco
de artistas cubanos, mexicanos y peruanos como Agustín Benítez y los mexicanos
Kenia Gazcón y Luis Uribe. Se informó
que Estrellita se difundirá desde el 4 de diciembre por la cadena
Telemundo, en lugar de Muñeca brava, iniciando así un giro de
coproducciones con Inca Films, la empresa de Lombardi, según anunció Arnaldo
Limansky, gerente de la cadena peruana Internacional de TV. Estrellita es una adaptación de Alfonso
Santiestevan de la obra radial Dos contra el mundo, escrita en 1952 por la
cubana Iris Dávila, y que ahora en Lima es dirigida por el francés Michel
Gómez. La historia relata cómo Estrella
y Salvador (Ismael La Rosa,) dos niños muy amigos en barrios pobres de Lima,
que se separan cuando él se va a Estados Unidos y regresa años después. La trama se desarrolla con la meta del
reencuentro de los personajes y los intentos por evitarlo de "la malvada
Ruth", (Zully Montero). Carolina
Sabino, quien anteriormente participó en la telenovela Las Juanas confesó haber
superado primeros instantes de tensión en Lima al verse alejada de su esposo y
su hijo de 11 meses de nacido. La joven
de 23 años de edad, agregó que cuando conoció a Lombardi se preguntó "¿por
qué este señor habla tan poco? Después comprendí que a buen entendedor, pocas
palabras". La actriz contó que
para acoplarse a su personaje de Estrellita, estuvo varios días en Ciudad
Bolívar, un sector muy pobre en Bogotá, viendo cómo vivía la gente pobre de
corazón pero ricos de espíritu, lo que le valió "para armar el perfil
humano de mi Estrella", finalizó Sabino.

previous week] Solo telenovelas Laura M. López Laberintos de pasión
Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Julieta se encuentra en una
encrucijada... su amor imposible por Pedro y un sentimiento nuevo hacia
Gabriel, quien no comprende del todo el cambio de la joven, pero que Rebeca
pronto le aclarará. Nadia por su parte ha hecho varios intentos para perder al
bebé, pues en el fondo tiene miedo de que se descubra quien es el verdadero
padre y entonces Pedro no quiera seguir con ella como se lo prometió. Por otro
lado, Carmina aunque es una mujer de carácter muy fuerte y ha aprendido a vivir
una vida de pesadilla al lado de Genaro, no ha podido superar haber matado a
Marissa. Aunque fue un accidente, nunca podrá comprobarlo. Rosendo, como
siempre, estuvo en el momento preciso para ayudarle a deshacerse del cuerpo y
borrar toda evidencia de que la mujer estuvo en El Castillo. El se cobraría ese
favor de una forma muy peculiar. El comandante, tal como sucedió con Sofía
muchos años atrás, no ha logrado dar con el culpable de su muerte. Aunque para
él hay dos sospechosos muy fuertes y Julieta es una de ellas, ya que la vieron
discutir con Marissa en el restaurante del pueblo. Para esto, una vez más
Gabriel es víctima del odio de Genaro y aunque no se ha comprobado que él fue
quien lo hizo, Gabriel está completamente seguro. En esta ocasión Gabriel
estuvo a punto de morir por falta de sangre, pues aparentemente nadie tenía el
mismo tipo. El donante apareció como por arte de magia, pero pidió no ser
identificado, aunque más tarde la misma Julieta se enteraría. Pedro fue quien
le salvó la vida a su peor enemigo, aunque más tarde la vida le daría una
sorpresa... Ofelia le revela a Mateo que Pedro es hijo de Gabriel. En tanto,
Benjamín y Rebeca se han dado la oportunidad de tratarse como algo más que
amigos, Rosendo está furioso con Genoveva por haberle puesto una demanda para
sacarlo de la casa. Aunque muy pronto las cosas van a tomar un rumbo diferente.
Diego entrega al comandante el paño manchado de sangre que encontró escondido
en la ropa de Rosendo. Mientras, Arturo le insinúa a Genaro que él es su
principal sospecho en la muerte de Alejandra.
USA 11/13-17/00.
Genaro shoots Gabriel in the back but doesn’t have the chance to finish him
off. Then he visits Mateo to provide himself with an alibi. Gabriel and B-Neg
blood and there is trouble finding a donor. Eventually, Pedro learns of the
need and donates but asks Julieta to keep it a secret. Julieta tells Gabriel
she wants to marry him. Rebecca and Benjamin finally become friends and she
kisses him; on another occasion he kisses her. Juan and Matilde return to
Julieta’s house. Diego gives the police chief the bloody kerchief. Rosendo
provides and alibi for Genaro. Julieta thinks Pedro may have shot Gabriel.
Ofelia confesses to Mateo that Pedro is Gabriel’s son and almost tells Genaro.
Cristobal goes through another crisis, forcibly kisses Nadia then tells Julieta
and Pedro that he loves Julieta. Julieta tells him, and Pedro, that he is just
using her to forget Nadia. Florencio tries to blackmail both Rosendo and
Carmina because he knows of Marisa’s visit.Rosendo threatens him. Arturo
suggests to Genaro, as Benjamin suggested, that the murder of Alejandra was an
accident, that the intended victim was Benjamin and that Genaro had threatened
him. Genaro swears to Arturo that he had nothing to do with it; later Rosendo
admits to Genaro that he killed Alejandra accidentally. Pedro reprimands Genaro
for the favortism he has always shown him and accuses himself of complicity for
accepting the privileges without question. Mateo tells Carmina that Gabriel and
Julieta will marry; she tells Julieta that Sofia will always be between them.
Then she tells Pedro. Gabriel tells the police he suspects Genaro; Pedro would
never shoot him in the back.

no episode on the 23rd. Benjamin tells Pedro that he doesn’t know his father,
that he does believe he was involved in Alejandra’s death. Gabriel returns
home. Julieta takes his horse to the river and finds Marisa’s body. Nadia calls
Julieta, telling her that she has a pain and can’t get hold of her doctor.
Julieta arrives and finds Nadia at the top of the steps. Hearing Pedro enter
downstairs, Nadia cries out to Julieta not to push her then falls down the
stairs. Cristobal also overhears Nadia. Both Cris and Pedro believe Nadia, who
loses her baby. Julieta is arrested but freed when Nadia retracts her
denunciation (after Pedro promises a church wedding). Gabriel sees Pedro
kissing Julieta in the jail cell. Lauro suggests to the police that they
compare Marisa’s blood with the blood on Rosendo’s kerchief. Gabriel asks Juan
to accompany Marisa’s body to Mexico. Benjamin becomes jealous of Cris’s
attentions to Rebecca. The police captain returns Marisa’s possessions to
Gabriel. He notices that her ring isn’t among them.
La Opinion, 11/26/00. Solo
telenovelas Laura M. López Laberintos de pasión Canal 34, lunes a
viernes, 9:00 p.m. Aunque Cristóbal lo niegue y le diga a Pedro que Nadia no le
importa, ella significa mucho en la vida del joven paralítico. Pero Nadia en
lugar de sentirse orgullosa de ese amor, hace lo contrario... se burla del
pobre Cristóbal y todavía le dice que el único hombre que le interesa es Pedro.
Si Cristóbal supiera igual que Genaro que Nadia estuvo casada con Javier, el
supuesto abogado del padre de ella, quizás también la odiaría como doña Ofelia,
a quien nunca le ha simpatizado. Genaro seguro que no apoyaría el matrimonio de
su hijo predilecto con su dichosa sobrina si supiera que ella está en la ruina
tanto o más que él. Sin embargo, Nadia lo ha mantenido engañado respecto al
dinero que supuestamente tiene invertido a largo plazo. Julieta por su parte,
sigue confundida en sus sentimientos, por un lado se siente muy atraída por
Pedro y por el otro cree que Gabriel es el hombre que ama. Ella le dice que
está dispuesta a casarse con él, aunque lo que más le preocupa es la repentina
desaparición de Marisa y que deberían esperar a que ella regrese para aclarar
las cosas. Lo peor es que Marisa apareció no como ellos esperaban. sino
¡muerta! Rosendo creyó que todo lo había hecho bien y que el cuerpo jamás saldría
a flote, pero se equivocó... el río sólo lo guardó por unos cuantos días.
Gabriel, caminando con dificultad por la herida, tuvo que identificar el
cadáver y se sintió muy deprimido, pues nunca esperó pasar por un momento como
ése. Lauro le recomienda al comandante que analice la sangre del pañuelo que le
dio Diego con la de Marisa, pues la fecha en que lo encontró entre las ropas de
Rosendo coinciden con la desaparición de la mujer. Esa misma noche en que
encontraron a Marisa, Julieta es víctima una vez más de la maldad de Nadia.
Supuestamente ella comenzó a sentirse mal y como estaba sola en la casa y no
pudo localizar a su médico porque se sentía muy mal, se vio en la obligación de
llamar a la doctora. Cuando Julieta llegó a El Castillo, Nadia salió a
recibirla justo en las escaleras, con su plan ya preparado. Cuando Nadia se dio
cuenta que Cristóbal llamaba a Julieta y que alguien más llegaba a casa, ella
pretendió discutir con Julieta y se dejó caer por las escaleras. Como era de
esperarse, Nadia perdió al bebé y Julieta fue detenida por intento de
asesinato. Pedro le suplica a Nadia que retire la demanda y hará todo lo que le
pida a cambio. Nadia logra su objetivo... obligar a Pedro a casarse por la
iglesia con ella e irse de San Vicente.

11/27-12/1/00. Rebecca is convinced to seek out Benjamin to clear up the
misunderstandings. She goes to his house, and his mother opens the door and is
very rude to her; Rebecca calls Sara a bitter woman. The doctor tells Pedro how
old the baby was that Nadia lost and he realizes that it was Cris’s. Genaro
suspects that Ofelia saw Rosendo coming out of Carmina’s room and beats her up;
she tells him that Rosendo raped her. He whips Rosendo, drags him behind a
horse, tells him to leave. Benjamin and Rebecca make up. Diego tells Mateo that
he wants to be a priest; Mateo doesn’t think he has the vocation but finally
agrees to help him enter the seminary. Pedro warns Julieta to beware of Nadia.
Genaro kicks Carmina out of the house. Gabriel learns from his doctor that
Pedro donated the blood. He seeks out Ofelia and asks her why Sofia married
Genaro, tells her he knows that Pedro was the donor. Ofelia tells him the
truth: Pedro is his son and Sofia married Genaro to save his life. Her father
would have killed him. Diego visits Arturo and thanks him for helping his
mother. Pedro tells Cris that the baby was his. Magdalena cares for the badly
beaten Rosendo. Arturo arrives with men to remove Rosendo from the home. He is
temporarily jailed. Genaro offers Ponciano the job of capataz and he accepts.
Carmina confesses to Mateo that Genaro ordered the murder of Julieta’s
grandfather and killed Sofia. Genaro finds her at the confessional and tries to
strangle her. Mateo kicks him out of the church and lets Carmina stay the
night. Pedro finds Gabriel by the river and they talk quietly. Gabriel thanks
him for the blood; Pedro says he gave it for Julieta’s sake. Rosendo gets out
of jail. Javier arrives at the house and tells Pedro that his marriage is
invalid but he and Nadia were married and the divorce is not final; Javier also
says that his father knows it is true. Genaro admits his knowledge to Pedro.
Pedro serenades Julieta; she tells him to leave her alone. Javier tells Genaro
that Nadia has no money. Ofelia gives Carmina some money for a pension. Genaro
hits Nadia. Cris stops him and asks Nadia to marry him. She accepts. Pedro
tells Benjamin about the divorce; Benjamin says that he can then probably get
the marriage annulled in one month. Cris tells Ofelia that he knows what he is
doing. Carmina gets a little room in the same building as Rosendo. Nadia
arranges to meet Javier and knifes him. Julieta treats him. Gabriel again asks
Julieta is she really wants to marry him because Pedro is his son and while he
would fight anybody else for her, he can’t fight his own son. Julieta tells
Rebecca she won’t marry either but doesn’t explain why. Nadia tells Pedro that
Genaro ordered the murder of Julieta’s grandfather. He denies it to Pedro and
again hits Nadia. Ofelia tells Cris she will disinherit him if he marries
Nadia. Carmina decides to ally herself with Rosendo against Genaro and steals
her jewels and Genaro’s gun from their room. Javier, on the way out of town,
calls Benjamin and tells him that Rosendo was near his room when Alejandra was
killed. Benjamin tells his parents. Arturo tells them he will take care of it.
Julieta gets anonymous notes. Worried about her safety, Lauro tells Juan to
move them all back into Gabriel’s home. Gabriel goes to Julieta’s home and
forces her to pack. While waiting downstairs, he is hit over the head and
Julieta sees the lights go out.

week] Solo telenovelas Laura M.
López Laberintos de pasión Canal 34, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Gabriel en el fondo sabía que Julieta no lo
amaba como hombre, pero que ella se casaría al fin de cuentas para olvidarse de
Pedro. Es por eso que Gabriel constantemente le preguntaba qué tan segura
estaba de dar ese paso. Pero ahora
había otra razón por la cual Gabriel quería saber los sentimientos de la
joven... doña Ofelia se liberó finalmente de un secreto que llevaba a cuestas
muchos años... le dijo a Gabriel que Pedro era su hijo. Por otro lado, Rosendo quiso vengarse de
todas las humillaciones que le había hecho su patrón y le dice a Genaro que se
acostó con su mujer. Entonces doña Ofelia tenía razón cuando le dijo que lo vio
cerca de su recámara en el segundo piso.
Genaro no se midió en su castigo con Rosendo... lo golpeó hasta cansarse
y finalmente lo arrastró con su caballo hasta sacarlo fuera de El Castillo. Y
con Carmina tampoco se tocó el corazón . Después de golpearla según para darle
su merecido, también la echó con lo más mínimo de ropa. Carmina se quedó unos días en la iglesia
con Mateo. A pesar de todo, Carmina era su sobrina por lo que doña Ofelia le
llevó una maleta con ropa y le dio dinero, además de pagarle el cuarto de una
pensión por dos semanas. Ella debía arreglárselas después por su propia
cuenta. Mientras tanto, Pedro se
apresuraba a meter la demanda de divorcio después que se enteró que él no era
el padre del hijo de Nadia. Le pide a Benjamín que haga todo lo posible para
que el divorcio saliera rápido, para que Julieta no se casara con Gabriel. Pero con la llegada de Javier Medina al
pueblo no hubo necesidad de demanda de divorcio... sino de anulación de
matrimonio, pues él les mostró papeles donde constaba que habían estado casados
y que aún no se cumplía un año de la separación legal por lo que el matrimonio
entre Pedro y ella no era legal.
Javier también le dijo a Genaro que Nadia lo engaño pues no había tal
herencia, ya que el padre de la muchacha dejó todo a una casa de beneficencia
cuando se enteró del fraude que su hija estaba cometiendo contra él. Genaro estaba a punto de sacar a golpes a
su querida sobrina del rancho cuando interviene Cristóbal y enfrentándose a su
padre le propone matrimonio ahí mismo a Nadia. Tanto doña Ofelia como Pedro no pueden creer que a pesar de
todo, Cristóbal vaya a casarse con su prima, pero ellos no saben que el
muchacho tiene un plan. Incluso Nadia se llevará tremenda sorpresa, pues ella
piensa que está manipulando a Cristóbal.

Rebecca tells Benjamin that it is time that she returns to Mexico, and he
doesn’t try to stop her. Pedro rescues Julieta and Gabriel from the fire.
Rosendo tells Carmina that Gabriel and Julieta are dead; she is angry because
she didn’t want anything to happen to Gabriel. Diego and Magdalena talk about
his desire to be a priest; she agrees to support him. Pedro accuses his father
of setting the fire, but Genaro denies it and Ofelia assures Pedro that Genaro
was home all night. Pedro begins to wonder if his father killed his mother.
Gabriel finds a cufflink(?) in the fire with Genaro’s initials. The police try
to arrest Genaro for the fire but he successfully accuses Carmina and Rosendo.
Cristobal steals a check from Ofelia. Genaro tells Mateo that he has always
hated him because he was the good boy in the family; he had no choice but to be
the bad boy. Rosendo is arrested by the police because the blood tests came
back, but he draws a gun on the policeman, drags him out of town and hits him
on the head. Gabriela finds a ring in Rosendo’s room and confronts Carmina.
Julieta tries on her wedding dress. Nadia tells Julieta that Genaro killed her
grandfather and that Pedro knows. Cris and Nadia leave the ouse. Julieta takes
a rifle, goes to Genaro’s home and aims it at him. Pedro and Ofelia stop her.
She accuses Pedro of being his father’s accomplice for hiding the truth. Ofelia
tells Genaro to leave the house. In their hotel room, Cris puts the check and a
gun on the dressing table by the bed and goes to change. Pedro tells Genaro he
will no longer work for him on the ranch. The bank takes possession of the
land. Genaro arrives and Arturo tells him they lost the case. Gabriel confronts
Genaro in his house and tells him that Pedro is his son; Pedro overhears but
refuses to believe it. Ofelia tells him that it is true. Magdalena tells Arturo
of Diego’s decision. Ofelia again tells Genaro to leave the house. Magdalena
tells Sara that she is foolish to leave her husband, that the only man she
loves is Lauro. Cris tells Nadia that the check represents the only money they
will get; Ofelia has disinherited him. When he returns to the room Nadia is
leaving with the check and her suitcase. They fight: Nadia grabs the gun and
shoots him. Genaro destroys Sofia’s tombstone. Pedro and Ofelia talk. He
decides to go away. Arturo and Sara go to sign the final divorce papers, but
she changes her mind and they decide to try again. Genaro confesses to Mateo
that he killed Sofia and plans to kill all who have hurt him and that Mateo’s
punishment is to know what he is going to do and not be able to stop him. Mateo
tells Gabriel to leave the pueblo today but Gabriel refuses. Pedro tells Genaro
that he is still his father. But Genaro tells Pedro that knowing he is the
biological son of his worst enemy wipes out all the years of loving him as a
son. Benjamin and Rebecca talk and she thinks he doesn’t love her. Nadia tries
to cash the check and is arrested for forgery. Cris also accuses her of
attempted murder. (I guess the gun was full of blanks). Crist returns home.
Carmina flees and asks Ofelia for help but she refuses. Genaro follows
Rosendo’s truck and pushes it over a cliff. Then he goes after the running
Carmina, hits her with the car and then shoots her dead. Lauro proposes to
Magdalena. She tells him she must discuss it with Diego. When she arrives home,
she finds Rosendo with a gun against Diego’s head. He forces Diego to get a car
(which he gets from Mateo) and money (which he gets from Arturo). Genaro
kidnaps Julieta and calls Gabriel. Rebecca and Benjamin reconcile. Rosendo
takes Diego in the car with him. The police follow and capture him alive.
Gabriel finds Genaro with a gun against Julieta’s head. Pedro joins him and
tells him not to do it. Genaro puts the gun in his mouth, pulls the trigger and
dies.

9:00 p.m. No hubo forma de convencer a Cristóbal para que desistiera irse con
Nadia. El sabía mejor que nadie el error tan grave que estaba cometiendo, sin
embargo Cristóbal les aseguró que todo iba a estar bien. Por otro lado, de
nuevo Julieta sufre la pérdida de su hogar, tal como sucediera la primera vez.
En esta ocasión Gabriel estaba con ella, pero eso no evitó al criminal
prenderle fuego a la casa con toda la intención de eliminar a ambos.
Afortunadamente Pedro llegaba en esos momentos, y escucha los gritos de Julieta
que sacara a Gabriel, quien estaba desmayado por el golpe que recibió en la
cabeza. Pedro no pensó en el peligro que corría, sólo sabía que la mujer que
amaba necesitaba su ayuda. Lauro le aconseja a Gabriel que avise al comandante,
pero él prefiere esperar hasta el día siguiente. El regresa al lugar de los
hechos y encuentra una mancuernilla con las iniciales de Genaro Valencia. Con
esta prueba decide acusarlo directamente. Cuando Genaro iba a ser detenido, la
misma doña Ofelia comprobó que efectivamente esa noche él no había salido de
casa para nada. Aunque no cabría la posibilidad de que hubiese enviado a
alguien a hacerlo. Mientras tanto, pocos días después, Rosendo también era
detenido acusado de la muerte de Marisa Cervantes, ya que se comprobó que la
sangre encontrada en su pañuelo pertenecía a ella. Sin embargo, el hombre al
verse sin salida, toma rápido su pistola y la apunta sobre el comandante, a
quien toma como rehén mientras escapa. Una vez en las afueras del pueblo,
golpea al policía y huye sin que nadie lo encuentre. Rosendo le envía una nota
a Carmina para que escapen juntos de San Vicente. Ella aún se rehusaba a
hacerlo, pero al ver que no tenía otra escapatoria pues también se descubrió
que ella tuvo que ver en la muerte de Marisa. Para esto, Pedro se entera que
Gabriel es su verdadero padre y el porqué Sofía nunca se lo dijo. Era tanto el
miedo hacia Genaro, que prefirió callar y doña Ofelia hizo lo mismo, pero por
respeto a su hija muerta. Aunque ahora era necesario que se supiera. Genaro
jamás se imaginó ser engañado de esa manera y le jura a Mateo en acto de
confesión que todos la van a pagar muy caro. Mateo no puede decirles la verdad,
pero si advierte a Gabriel que debe irse del pueblo antes de que algo grave
suceda. Antes de que todo esto sucediera, Nadia y Cristóbal se hospedaron en el
hotel del pueblo para el día siguiente irse a otro lado. El plan de Cristóbal
salió tal como se lo propuso y ahora Nadia estaba detenida por intento de
fraude y asesinato. El muchacho logró que Nadia los dejara en paz y quizás en
ello iba un poco de venganza por todo lo que esa mujer hizo con él y su
familia, pero sobre todo con su hijo que no tuvo oportunidad de nacer. Genaro
descubre que su traidora mujer y Rosendo quieren escapar del pueblo y de su
ira, pero ya era demasiado tarde... a Genaro no le importaba una muerte más y
con su auto empuja el de Rosendo quien cae en un barranco. Carmina logró
escapar del coche pero no de Genaro, quien termina matándola.

LAST TWO EPISODES.
12/11/00. Rosendo is jailed. Lauro tells
Gabriel, Julieta and the others that he told Pedro Genaro had kidnapped Julieta
because he knew only Pedro could stop him. The police tell Nadia that Carmina
is dead; Rosendo overhears. Pedro takes Genaro’s body home. Ofelia tells Mateo.
Rosendo tell the police that Carmina killed Marisa and Genaro killed Sofia but
both are dead so there’s no proof. Genaro and Carmina are buried. Pedro visits
Nadia in jail to say that their marriage is about to be annulled. She tells him
he’ll never have Julieta and will never be able to forget her. Gabriel asks
Julieta if she wants to postpone the wedding and she says no. Rocio returns,
gets off the bus and sees Cris on crutches. She tells him she’s come only for
the wedding and reminds him that she’d said he would be walking the next time
they saw each other. Gabriel tells Pedro he’s sorry about his father; Pedro
says he knows that he will take care of Julieta. At the river, Julieta recalls
her moments with Pedro. He arrives, they hug, say good-bye. Rosendo threatens
Diego, still in jail as a possible accomplice of Rosendo (although he was
really a hostage), with harm to his mother. Arturo gets Diego released. Ofelia
visits Julieta and wishes her the best. Gabriela looks at the painting of Sofia
and remembers her. Julieta talks to Rocio of her feelings, how confused she is
but resolves once again to marry Gabriel. Pedro plans to leave the pueblo the
day of the wedding to have some time to himself. Nadia escapes from a car with
3 policemen in it taking her to another
prison. She seems badly injured by the fall from the moving vehicle. Outside
the church, Julieta sees Pedro on the horse. The civil ceremony is held first.
Both say yes. Julieta signs. Then Gabriel takes the pen to sign.
ULTIMO CAPITULO.
12/12/00. Gabriel looks again at the silently crying Julieta and doesn’t
sign.”although me duele el alma tengo que renunciarte a ti”. Julieta doesn’t
understand why he waited until the last moment; Mateo tries to explain his
probable feelings to her and asks how she feels: angry, sad, frustrated, etc.
Ofelia gives Cris his grandfather’s cane and she again talks to him of Rocio.
Julieta goes home and finds that Gabriel has left her a letter: he tells her
that he can’t take her away from his son, the man she loves and is loved by. He
tells her to find her happiness with Pedro. Arturo visits Rosendo in jail and
tells him they can never prove he killed Alejandra but he will see that he
spends a long time in jail for the murder of Marisa. Gabriel took the painting
of Sofia with him. Lauro tells Julieta to go after Pedro, the train hasn’t
arrived yet. Pedro says good-bye. Benjamin asks his father if they can work
together again; they embrace. Pedro visits the tombstone of Sofia defaced by
Genaro. He says good-bye and asks her forgiveness. Julieta goes to El Castillo,
then to the train station and cries out for Pedro. But he doesn’t seem to be
there. The train moves out and she sees him on the opposite side of the tracks.
They embrace. Time passes. Ofelia makes plans at the church for the wedding.
Gabriel’s last exposition was a success but he won’t be at the wedding. Ofelia
asks Juan and Matilde to return to El Castillo and they agree. Sara goes to the
church, asks Diego to arrange a mass for Alejandro (6 mos. after her death) and
wishes him well at the seminary. Pedro and Julieta get presents: papers ceding
Gabriel’s part of El Castillo to Pedro, the finished portrait of Sofia and her
brooch. Lauro tells them it is Gabriel’s blessing on their marriage. Pedro
hangs the painting in the living room of their house. Matilde and Juan return
to El Castillo. She will be Ofelia’s friend and companion. Cris finds Rocio in
the fields and tries to convince her to give him a chance. Arturo gets a
telegram: Rosendo has been sentenced to a long time, longer than his likely
lifetime. Javier visits Nadia in jail. She seems to be in a wheelchair. She
begs him to help her but he refuses. Before leaving her, he tells her that
Julieta and Pedro are getting married today. Even Pedro wishes that Gabriel
were at the wedding and he arrives just in time to walk Julieta down the aisle
and do the first reading. All the other couples are there: Rebecca and Benjamin,
Rocio and Cristobal, Magdalena and Lauro. Final photograph. FIN.

[summary of previous week] Laberintos de pasión KMEX Canal 34, lunes a
viernes, 9:00 p.m. ULTIMOS CAPITULOS. Genaro no tenía alternativa... terminaba
de una vez con toda la gente que de alguna forma le cobraría tarde o temprano
el daño que les había causado o definitivamente él terminaba con su propia
vida. Y así lo hizo... frente a Pedro y Julieta, a Genaro sólo le bastó un tiro
de su pistola... que más daba... lo había perdido todo... el rancho, su mujer y
por último, el hijo que tanto adoraba y de quien se sentía tan orgulloso que
resultó ser hijo del hombre que tanto odiaba en su vida. Pedro quiso evitar esa
tragedia y desde el fondo de su corazón le dijo que a pesar de todo, él seguía
siendo su padre, pero Genaro ya lo había decidido... había tomado a Julieta
como rehén pero finalmente de pronto volteó el arma hacia él y disparó. A pesar
de que habían pasado varias horas, Julieta aún sentía la sangre caliente de
Genaro en su piel y la mano de él aferrándose a su pierna cuando caía
lentamente en su último aliento de vida. Pedro en cambio tomó a Genaro en sus
brazos y caminando lentamente lo llevó hasta El Castillo para dejarlo en el
mismo lugar, en el cual hace más de 20 años Gabriel hiciera lo mismo con Sofía
cuando la encontró muerta en el río. A Cristóbal le dolió la muerte de su padre
pero tal vez fue lo mejor para todos. Genaro y Carmina fueron sepultados el
mismo día uno al lado del otro, y sólo la gente del rancho y el padre Mateo
acompañaron a la familia en este momento tan trágico. Para esto, Gabriel había
comprado la mitad del rancho que perdiera Genaro, aunque no sabía todavía que
haría con ella. Pues una vez que se casara con Julieta se irían de San Vicente.
Sin embargo, la boda no llegó a realizarse. Al ver las lágrimas de Julieta, que
no eran precisamente de felicidad, Gabriel decidió dejarla libre para que
buscara a Pedro, quien era en realidad a quien amaba. Pedro por su parte,
estaba a punto de irse del pueblo para olvidarse de ella. Julieta hizo lo que
todos le aconsejaron, pero más que nada lo que le dictaba su corazón... buscar
a Pedro y decirle que deseaba compartir con él el resto de su vida. Pocos días
después Pedro esperaba a Julieta frente al altar, quien caminaba del brazo de
Gabriel, que llegó a última hora para darle su bendición. Cristóbal y Rocío se
hicieron novios y Rebeca y Benjamín pronto se casarían también. Diego decidió
entrar al seminario siguiendo su vocación sacerdotal mientras que Sara y Arturo
se daban otra oportunidad para ser felices. En tanto Lauro y Magdalena ahora sí
podrían ser felices pues Rosendo no les haría ningún daño, ya que al igual que
Nadia estaban pagando su culpa en la cárcel.
