Un cambio de imagen de Thalía, que no alcanzó el éxito de sus otras mugrositas. Dejando atrás a las divertidas "Marías", Thalía interpreta a una trágica vendedora de flores. Curiosamente, Lupita Ferrer quien interpretara a la heroína en la primera versión de esta historia de Delia Fiallo, es aquí la malvada suegra.
Sinopsis: Rosalinda trabaja en el puesto de flores del abuelo Florentino. Rosalinda pierde a quien cree que es su madre y ayuda a sacar adelante a su papá Xavier, y a sus hermanas Fedra y Lucy y su hermano Beto.
Fedra es muy engreída y vanidosa, Lucy es dulce como Rosalinda. Beto es un vivido, ratero y mentiroso. Xavier se entera que una de sus hijas no es su hija por lo que descarga odio hacia las tres muchachas. Rosalinda conoce a Fernando José Altamirano del Castillo y se enamora de él, pero él le oculta a ella que es millonario.
Valeria, la madre de Fernando José es una mujer arribista y posesiva. Está obsesionada con su único hijo desde que su esposo fuese asesinado hace años por su secretaria.
Esta mujer Soledad Romero todavía está en la cárcel por su crimen. Lo que Valeria desconoce es que Soledad es la esposa de Alfredo, su propio hermano y que él mató a su marido cuando éste intentaba abusar de su secretaria.
Por amor a su marido, Soledad cargó con la culpa y el secreto, incluso renunció a su hija recién nacida, a quien encargó a su hermana. Esta niña es Rosalinda.

RCTV Summary. Rosalinda es una hermosa jovencita de 20 años que trabaja como dependiente en una floristería, y a quien se le cruza en la vida Fernando José, un joven pianista de un restaurante. Entre ellos nace el amor a primera vista, pero lo que ignora Rosalinda es que el hombre a quien ama es nada más y nada menos que un abogado recién graduado con muchísimo poder económico y perteneciente a una familia de clase alta. Resulta ser que para Fernando José, la música representa un desahogo emocional, por lo que como pasatiempo, toca el piano en el restaurante, propiedad de un amigo suyo. Soledad, quien cumple una larga condena por proteger al hombre que ama, se ve obligada a separar de su lado a su hija Rosalinda y entregársela a su hermana Dolores para que la críe como si fuera su hija. La voluntad de Soledad es cumplida y Rosalinda crece al lado de su tía, sin saber que su verdadera madre está presa por el asesinato del padre de Fernando José, crimen que ella no cometió. Dolores y su esposo Javier tienen tres hijos: Beto, Fedra y Lucy. Javier piensa que Rosalinda también es su hija, pero cuando Dolores cae gravemente enferma, le confiesa a su esposo que una de sus tres hijas no es suya, pero muere antes de poder decir toda la verdad. Valeria, la madre de Fernando José, se opone a su relación con una muchacha de clase inferior, así que, por todos los medios, intenta alejarlo de Rosalinda. El odio de Valeria hacia Rosalinda aumenta aún más cuando se entera de que ella es hija de la supuesta asesina del padre de Fernando José. Es por esto que comete un acto vil e imperdonable con la joven, lo cual es causa de la pérdida de la razón de Rosalinda y su separación de Fernando José, quien después de que se incendia el lugar donde se encontraba su amada, piensa que ella ha muerto. Sola y sin memoria, Rosalinda vaga por las calles hasta aparece en su vida Alex, un hombre que, admirado por su belleza y voz, la saca del abismo y oscuridad que hasta el momento le tocó vivir. Es entonces cuando la convierte en toda una estrella del espectáculo; sin embargo, el enigma de su pasado y el vacío inexplicable que siente Rosalinda no le permiten ser feliz. Mientras tanto, Fernando José se encuentra sumido en una fuerte depresión, por lo que se refugia por completo en la música para tratar de olvidar a la única mujer que ha amado en su vida: Rosalinda. Fedra, bella y ambiciosa, aprovecha el estado de Fernando José para conquistarlo y lograr su sueño: ser la esposa de un millonario. Es entonces cuando el destino tiene deparado para Rosalinda y Fernando José muchos reencuentros infructuosos. Su felicidad termina abruptamente cuando Valeria descubre que Rosalinda es la hija de la mujer acusada de asesinato del padre de Fernando José. El dolor desespera a Rosalinda. 4/11-14/00. 20 years ago. Soledad and Alfredo have been married secretly for
three years because he is afraid to tell his sister Valeria that he married her
husband’s secretary. Alfredo keeps postponing telling his family the truth. He
gives Soledad a ring as compensation. That husband, José Fernando, sees them
kissing and kidnaps Soledad. A secretary tells Alfredo and he follows them.
There is a boat chase to an island. José Fernando has a gun. Somehow, on the
island, as he is attacking Soledad, Alfredo gets hold of the gun and shoots him
in the bank. Soledad tells him to go, he swims out to the boat and runs away.
She picks up the gun and is holding it when the police arrive. She says she
didn’t kill him but won’t say anything else. She is convicted and sentenced to
25 years in jail. Valeria promises eternal vengeance. In jail, she tells
him to anul the marriage. She is happy to do this for him. Then she learns she
is pregnant. After she gives birth, her sister Dolores visits her. Dolores has
just lost a baby to illness and is afraid to tell her husband. Soledad tells
her to substitute her baby, not to tell her husband, or anybody, the truth.
Dolores agrees. Soledad gives Dolores a ring to give her daughter one day. 20
years pass. Soledad talks to Clarita about her child. Dolores and Xavier have a
son Beto, who is lazy and spendthrift, a daughter Fedra who thinks only about money,
and Lucy. Lucy and Rosalinda are best friends as well as sisters. Dolores is
ill. Delivering flowers to a restaurant, Rosalinda trips and falls and is
helped by Fernando José. They are immediately attracted to each other and
introduce themselves. Later they meet in a park and become novios. She assumes
he is a humble piano player. Valeria still thinks only of vengeance and has
inculcated that hate into José Fernando. She is disappointed in her son because
he shirks his work at the business. She has always hated his interest in music.
But he has been a dutiful son. When Rosalinda tells her mother the name of the
boy with whom she has fallen in love her mother has another attack. Dolores
writes a letter to Soledad and has a friend mail it. Valeria asks Alfredo if JF
has a novia and he says no but when he questions JF discovers that JF is,
indeed, interested in a woman, not of his class. He tells his friend Gerardo
and his ex-novia Pamela that he is engaged. Valeria suspects something.
Dolores feels that she is dying and tells Xavier that one of the three girls
isn’t his.
El Universal: Soledad es condenada a pasar 20 años en prisión. Alfredo habla con ella, pero ésta le dice que la olvide, que anule su matrimonio, que lo odia por ser un cobarde y que no la vuelva a buscar. El doctor de la cárcel avisa a Soledad que está embarazada. La mujer da a luz una niña en prisión y como su hermana Dolores ha perdido una hija, decide que se haga cargo de Rosalinda, para que nunca sepa que es hija de una presidiaria. Fernando José miente a Rosalinda al decirle que es pianista del restaurante de Gerardo, quien es su amigo y le ayuda a guardar esa mentira. Soledad oye una plática de su compañera de celda, Clarita, y se angustia al pensar en su hija. Dolores y Xavier tienen un hijo, Beto, y dos hijas, Lucy y Fedra. Dolores está convencida que su sobrina es mejor que sus propias hijas y le entrega un anillo que le dejó su hermana. Bonifacio se entera por Xavier que una de las tres muchachas no es su hija.- 9 de la noche, Canal 9 (6 de Cablediversión).
Rinconlatino: Rosalinda (Thalía) es una joven buena que se
cree huérfana, no sabe que su madre está en la cárcel cumpliendo una condena de
20 años, acusada de un crimen que no cometió.
La infancia de Rosalinda transcurre en medio de alegrías infantiles con
su hermana, pero también experimenta el dolor de la soledad. Rosalinda vende flores y de esa forma
sostiene su casa y paga la educación de su hermana. En la cárcel, el abogado informa
que se reabrirá el caso de Soledad (Angélica María), pues posiblemente fue
acusada sin pruebas. Francisco José (Fernando Carrillo) es un pianista que
compone canciones de amor y se enamora a primera vista de Rosalinda. Ella le
platica su historia y le revela que su gran sueño es convertirse en una
cantante famosa.-

Summaries starting 3/21/99: Rosalinda no está de acuerdo en tener un
casamiento rápido. Soledad tiembla al saber de quién está enamorada su hija.
Fernando José le dice a Rosalinda que le han ofrecido una beca para estudiar
música en Italia y que la llevará con él después de que se casen. Aníbal se
despide de Fedra y le advierte que tenga cuidado con su jefe. Valeria contrata
detectives para que encuentren a Soledad. Valeria no acepta a Rosalinda como
novia de su hijo.

USA 4/24-28/00.
Rinconlatino: Subject: MONDAY SUMMARY Author: Olga Date: 04-24-2000 21:33 Scene Opens: As Rosa and
Lucy are talking in their kitchen, Soledad knocks on their door. Rosa opens the
door and for the first time in 20 years, Soledad sees her daughter! Soledad
tells Rosa she is there to see Javier. Rosa invites her in and introduces her
to Lucy. While at Fernando's Home: He
and Valeria discuss the fact Alfredo once had an affair with a "poor
girl." Valeria is dismayed at this news.
At Rosalinda's: Soledad tells Rosa and Lucy, Dolores was her sister.
Rosa looks stunned. Soledad is welcomed warmly and Rosa gives her a hug. This
brings tears of joy to Soledad who is holding her daughter for the first time
since she gave her to Dolores. At The
Garibaldi: Beto and Javier discuss their future. Beto tells Javier "now
you can be the Father you never were to me." Beto cries at hearing Javier
sing, for this reminds him of Dolores and what a bad son he was to her. Rosa calls Javier to come home. He walks in
and seeing Soledad tells her "you?"
At Fernando's home: Valeria once again receives a phone call from her
"mysterious caller." She agrees to meet the caller on Saturday, after
saying to the caller "don't ever call me here again." She is angry
(as usual) after receiving this call.
At Rosalinda's: Javier and Soledad are left alone to talk. Javier tells
her she can move into an apt in the same neighborhood. He goes to visit the
caretaker and is given keys to an apt for Soledad. This news makes Rosa very
happy. At Fernando's: Fernando once
again tells Alfredo how he tried to stop Soledad from being freed. He tells him
how "that woman was in the room when I went to see the Matron in the
prison." At Rosalinda's: Javier
tells Soledad "I do not want to discuss Dolores." This leaves Soledad
confused. The next day, Rosa and Lucy bring Soledad breakfast, and tell her of
Fernando. Soledad wants to know if the boyfriend loves her, Rosa happily tells
her "oh yes!" Later, Rosa says to her aunt "what is your
name?" Soledad tells her "Marta." At Fernando's: Valeria calls the prison and is told they have no
information on the whereabouts of Soledad Romero. Valeria, furious, insists she
will find her! At Rosalinda's: Javier
visits Soledad and asks her "Why are you calling yourself Marta?" She
replies, "The past is too painful, I want to forget it. Soledad Romero is
dead. Call me Marta Soledad." He agrees. At Fernando's: Fernando walks in while Valeria and Berta are
planning Valeria's bday party. He tells Valeria "Put Rosalinda's name in
the list, I am bringing her." Valeria tells him "NO." He tells
her "I am bringing her, period."
Valeria plans with Berta how she will humiliate Rosa at the party with
an evil gleam in her eye! EEEK!
Fernando goes to visit Rosa at work and invites her to the party. She is
thrilled. That evening, Rosa tells Lucy of the party and visits Soledad. Rosa
gives her flowers which cause Soledad to shed tears (once again). Soledad
notices the pearl ring on Rosa's finger and Rosa tells her "my Mother gave
this to me." Soledad replies "You must never remove it, for it is
your Mother's memory." At
Fernando's: Fernando once again tells Alfredo "I will never rest until I
find that woman, Soledad Romero." He leaves to pick Rosa up for the
party. At Rosalinda's: Rosa is busy
preparing for the party, Soledad and Lucy are helping her. Fernando arrives,
Soledad opens the door and that is when she realizes who the
"boyfriend" is. FREEZE!
El Universal, 3/28/99 - Rosalinda cuenta el pleito
que tuvo con Valeria. Fernando José jura que seguirá luchando por el amor de
Rosalinda. Alfredo vive atormentado. Rosalinda se enoja y le exige a Soledad
que ya no influya en su padre. Fernando José le pregunta a Javier ¿de dónde
sacó eso de que Rosalinda y él no pueden ser felices?, ¿acaso sabe algún
secreto de Rosalinda? Sin embargo, tiene que fingir. Bertha se le insinúa a
Alfredo y le promete que nunca revelará que él fue el asesino.
Diario de
Yucatán 3/27/99 - Zoila le cuenta a
Bonifacio que ella entregó a Fedra una carta de Dolores en la que debe estar el
secreto de Soledad. Alfredo vive atormentado porque se siente culpable de que
Soledad fuera condenada a 20 años de cárcel. Ahora tiene la certeza de que
Rosalía es hija de ambos, pero no puede revelarlo a la joven. Si Valeria se
enterara ocurriría una tragedia. Fernando José reprocha a su madre que quiera
quitarle sus dos grandes pasiones: el amor de Rosalinda y la música. El
investigador informa a Valeria que descubrió que Soledad tenía una hermana y le
seguirá la pista para saber dónde se esconde. Alfredo se enternece al ver a la
florista y sufre porque no puede decirle que es su padre. Le cuenta a Rosalinda
que Valeria puso como condición que su hijo abandonara sus estudios de música a
cambio de aceptar que sea novia del muchacho. Más tarde, Fernando José vuelve a
pedirle a Rosalinda que se case con él. Valeria comenta a Alfredo que permitió
el noviazgo de Rosalinda con su hijo para que el joven reflexione, pero que
ella se encargará de que jamás se casen. Rosalinda empieza a comprar las cosas
para su boda. Valeria ordena al investigador que averigüe más sobre la florista
y quiénes fueron sus padres.
Alfredo
decide que lo mejor será confesar a Fernando José la verdad sobre la muerte de
su padre. Bertha le advierte a Alfredo que ha descubierto todo. Fedra discute
con Martha. Fedra sabe algo o lo imagina, al escuchar que Alfredo llama a
Martha por su verdadero nombre: Soledad, y le pregunta a Alfredo si tuvo
amoríos con su tía. Fernando José exige a su madre que reciba a Rosalinda. Los
detectives informan a Valeria de que la señora que se hace pasar por la tía
Martha es en realidad Soledad.

#13Scene picks up with Fj coming down stairs: (Val) Fj look who’s here. FJ
smiles Rosy runs into his arms they share a kiss in Val’s presence (who closes
her eyes, puckers mouth in disgust/anger, . . . A+ for Lupita F)she interrupts
and tells them she’ll be in her room. Fj and Rosy head out to the garden. Aunt
Martha is telling dad about Fj being the son of the man she was imprisoned for.
(she’s crying and terrified) Bertha and Val are talking about he reconciliation
and how it came about, when a call comes in for Val from “Ursula” (matron like
lady). In the garden Fj and Rosy are “fawning” all over each other (lots of
smack kissing going on). Bertha is eavesdropping at he door while Val is
responding that she can’t go (its unknown where). Martha is crying and
inconsolable cause of the Rosy’s situation, dad is also now very worried as
Martha describes what will happen once Fj finds out Rosy’s is related to the woman
they most hate. Martha is convinced that Val / Fj will make Rosy the victim of
that hatred. Val & Al are having breakfast in the garden, Rosy and family
and how they live are the subject. Val says the few minutes she was there were
the most miserable minutes of her life. Val is not happy about the
reconciliation she was forced into making happen, but accepts it was necessary
to prevent Fj from leaving her side. Al accuses her of using Rosy and asks what
she plans on next. Lucy and Rosy are also talking about them making up, Rosy
dreamily says shes very happy (latin expression, “I feel like I’m jumping on
one foot?”) Lucy says aunt Martha is going to be upset. Dad & Beto walk in,
Betos tired, tell dad he’s not going to work with him tonight cause he isn’t
getting anywhere and says he’ll go job hunting later. Both girls greet dad with
a kiss each one on either side of him and offer him breakfast. Dad says no thx,
and tells Rosy he needs to talk to her with no questions asked, then he tells
Rosy to break it off permantly with FJ. Rosy asks why. (dad) I told you not to
questioned it. (Rosy) I have to know why, what happened. (dad) isn’t it enough
that it’s what I want. (rosys crying) no dad, no its not enough. (Val) I’ll see
what to do about the “chusma” later. (Al) its cruel to toy with people in that
manner. (Val) are you taking her side against me. (Al) just let them be happy.
(Val) I’m tolerating it now, cause I don’t have any choice, but just wait. Rosy
doesn’t have any idea what awaits her. Val & Al continue talking Al is
convinced they truly love each other and will be happy Val is dead set against
it. Rosy and dad continue talking rosy says how everything has been worked out
with Val, dad says it will never work etc, etc, . .dad says he’s trying to spare
her from real pain and suffering (Dad) you cannot marry him (Rosy) yes I can
(ref to being of legal age) (dad) don’t for your own good. If you marry him,
you will suffer immensely. (Rosy) he won’t betray me, and I’m not going to
break it off ever again. I know he loves me. (Dad) he will leave you someday
(Rosy) he loves me, I’m totally sure of it (Dad) obey me, I’m trying to spare
you pain, you’ll thank me one day. Dad leaves, Lucy blames aunt Martha for the
change.

04-30-2000 13:02 eps 13(ok personal opinion, I forgot to mention in 1 part of
summary, excellent scenes between Rosy and Dad) Rosy goes to see Marta, and
tells her dad is demanding that she break it off with Fj. Rosy asks aunt Marta
if she knows why, Marta denys knowing why he would change his mind. Rosy asks
aunt Marta to please not encourage dad in his decision to force her to break it
off with Fj. Rosy says she was willing to before cause of the obstacles (Val) but
now all has been worked out and she doesn’t feel she can. Rosy tells Marta that
she was hoping to find a friend, no more a mother figure in her, not someone
who is trying to take her happiness away. Bertha comes on to Al. (Marta) Lucy I
only encouraged Rosy not to make up with Fj cause I believe that they will not
be happy. (Lucy) well they’ve made up, and its up to them to discover whether
they can be happy. Anibal drops by to ask if they’ve heard from Fedra. Lucy
introduces him to aunt marta then offers to bring him coffee, while talking to
marta he is raving about Fedra (beauty) Lucy overhears and is really
disappointed.. Bertha suggests to Val that she could try to get info from Clara
about Soledad, Val calls Fj to get his opinion, Fj doesn’t think she’ll get
anywhere, but to feel free and give it a try. At “el rinconcito” Rosy is
telling Fj about the “wrestling match” with Pamy, Fj is not happy about it and
says he’ll have a talk with Pamy, Rosy says to leave it alone. Then Rosy brings
up the fact that when they met he neglected to tell her that he had a
girlfriend, “another little white lie”. Fj clears up that they had broken up
long before “they” met, and that she is the only women he loves. Rosy asks Fj
not to lie to her anymore. Then tells him there’s a slight problem, and shes
not sure how to break it to him. Bertha goes to the prison and maneuvers her
way in to see Clara, who spills the info about Al being the culprit. Al runs
into Marta (soledad) in the street and asks for a reconciliation, marta refuses
and leaves. Rosy and Fj are in the Porsche (having a lovebirds conversation
joking, flirting, developing a very warm loving closeness) making plans for
their future, marrige/kids etc, Beto and friends are executing their plan in
robbing the jewelry shop. Rosy and Lucy met up and are sitting on a park bench,
talking about Pamy, Fj and dad (they are obviously very close) Rosy suggests to
Lucy that dad maybe is feeling fatherly jealousy or maybe he’s afraid that
she’ll end up pregnant before marriage. Fedra and boss arrive at hotel room
with several packages, Mr. Ayala tries to make his way into her room, fedra
cleverly gets rid of him. Then goes to call home. Rosy takes the call (fedra is
not to happy to get her she specifically asked for Lucy) updates Fedra on aunt
Marta living with them, the fight with Fj (fedra is happy to hear that) but is
confused by “aunt Marta” presence. Then Fedra tells Rosy she’s going to be
envious when she sees everything she’s bought for herself. Rosy brushes it off
and says she isn’t the envious type. Marta tells dad about her run in with Al.
Rosy and Fj meet up with Al for dinner? At the café. Al tips them off about
Val’s insincere overture. They become worried, then Fj says not to worry about
it, once they marry they are not going to be living with Val. Fj is kissing
Rosys hand, Al sees the ring on her finger.

de Yucatan, 4/3/99 - Bertha advierte a Alfredo que ha descubierto todo y
ya sabe quién es Marta. El le pide
guardar el secreto, pero ella le pone
como condición que no se vaya de viaje y la ame. Después de leer la
carta que dejó Dolores, Fedra discute con Martha (Soledad), le dice que ya sabe que es una ex presidiaria y que
no quiere vivir con ella.
USA. 5/1-5/00. Alfredo admits to Berta that he killed his sister’s husband to defend a woman. Later, Berta discovers that Rosalinda is somehow involved in the story but promises to keep the secret in exchange for Alfredo’s “friendship” (it’s obvious that she loves him). Soledad names Fedra as her daughter (why is anybody’s guess). She asks Alfredo to tell Fernando José the truth about her, but he can’t. Ursula visits Valeria and tells her that she can no longer keep her secret. Anibal discovers that Fedra has been fired by Sr. Ayala. Fernando José admits to Rosalinda that if she were related to Soledad, he could not love her or marry her. Lucy overhears Martha telling Javier that Rosalinda can’t marry FJ, they must get her out of the city. While Rosalinda and FJ have a civil wedding with Gerardo, Florentino and Becky as witnesses, Soledad visits Alfredo at work and tells him that they must tell FJ the truth about her. Just then FJ calls to say he’s been married and Valeria walks in on Alfredo holding Soledad’s hand. Soledad admits to Javier that she lied, hoping that FJ would accept Rosalinda in spite of Soledad’s being her aunt, but the truth is that Rosalinda is her daughter. Berta realizes that Alfredo still loves Soledad and decides that she must get rid of Soledad to have a chance.

Ayala, who has more in his mind than business! In Mexico, Rosa, Fer and Alfredo
meet for coffee. Alfredo notices her pearl ring and asks her "Where did
you get that ring?" Rosa replies "My mother." At Fernando's
home, Valeria tells Alfredo that Berta went to the women's prison to get
information on Soledad. SCENE TWO: Berta tells them all she was able to find
out was that two men went to visit Soledad. One was Fernando and the other a
man who claims to still be in love with Soledad. Valeria wonders who this can
be, while Alfredo looks uneasy. Back at
Rosa's, Rosalinda and Lucy plan Rosa's wedding. Rosa tells Lucy she would love
to have a baby as soon as possible. They are both very happy with this dream.
Back at Fernando's: Alfredo cannot stop thinking of the pearl ring he gave
Soledad 25 years ago. Berta visits Alfredo and tells him "I need to tell
you what I was told about you and Soledad." Scene now shifts to Horacio
and Fernando. Horacio tells Fer "You will never marry Rosalinda, if you
do, you will end up hating her." Fer is shocked. Back at Rosa's, Soyla
(the nutsy neighbor) tells Rosa "Beto just gave my daughter a gold
necklace." (Beto robbed a jewelry store).
SCENE THREE: Fer tells Horacio
he and Rosa will marry shortly. Alfredo confesses to Berta the truth of the
murder Soledad is accused of. Rosa tells Beto she knows what he did and he
becomes angry, storms out of the house. Back at Fernando's, Alfredo tells Berta
"Soledad was my wife, she sacrificed her life for me." Rosa visits
Soledad to plead with her to help her father agree to the marriage. Soledad
refuses. SCENE FOUR: Soledad tells Rosa "I cannot help
you." Rosa pleads. She tells Soledad how much she misses her Mother, while
Soledad silently weeps. Valeria tells Fer how upset she is at not finding any
information on Soledad. He replies "My only thoughts are with Rosa and our
marriage." Valeria schemes on how she can stop this wedding. The next day,
Berta tells Alfredo she will never reveal his secret to Valeria. It is obvious
she is secretly in love with Alfredo. He tells her "I will never love
another woman, only Soledad." Soledad goes to see Rosa and tells her
"I would do anything to help you, and runs away before she loses control
and reveals to Rosa she is her real Mother!
SCENE FIVE: Once again, Berta
tells Alfredo she will keep his secret. Fernando goes to see Horacio who is
with Soledad, he knocks on her door and she opens the door, stunned to see him
standing there! Meanwhile, Alfredo invites Rosa to lunch and continues to
question her about the ring. She invites him to be the best man at her wedding
to Fer. Back at Rosa's: Soledad tells Fernando he cannot marry Rosa. He is
bewildered. SCENE SIX: Fernando tells Soledad, "Everyone is
against us, but no one will stop us." Rosa in the meantime, tells Alfredo all
about her Aunt "Marta." Alfredo wonders if "Marta" is
really Soledad. He cannot stop thinking this.
Fer tells Rosa he went to visit Tia Marta and she too opposed the
marriage. He tells Rosa "We have to fight for our love." Rosa goes to
see Soledad, angry and tells her "How dare you interfere in my life, who
do you think you are, my Mother?"
Soledad stares at Rosalinda, as the words echo in her head. "YOU
ARE NOT MY MOTHER." "STAY OUT OF MY LIFE." FREEZE

tells Rosa that he will always hate Soledad Romero, he’s had it in him since he
was a kid. She asks him what if she was related to Sol what would he do? If
that was the case FJ would never marry Rosa, he could never love her or be w/
her knowing that she carries Sol blood. She’s going to ask God to take away
that hate he has in his heart and the grudge and despise. Berta tells Alf that the only thing she asks
for in return of her silence is friendship and she’s only doing this for him.
Some lady named Ursula came to visit Val. Val was upset by her visit. She takes
her to the study and closes the door. Urs is an old lady w/ a cane and tells
Val that she’s old and can’t keep her secret any longer. Val tells her to leave
and never return. Urs tells her that she has to take care of things now. Val
demands for her to leave and she will visit her another time. Fed tells her father that she can’t believe
that Sol is her mother and she hates her. Sol over hears this while coming in.
Fed is ashamed of Sol for being in prison all those years, who knows what kind
of crime she committed. Sol tells her if she wants to keep quiet about this
then from Sol know one will find out. Sol walks out. Rosa, Lucy and Rosa’s friend go window shopping for wedding
dresses. They notice Rosa worried. Rosa mentions all the problems, tia
Marta/Fed, her father/Sol wanting to separate her and FJ and FJ mother. She
feels threatened and that something bad is going to happen to her. Sol talks to all three sisters. She tells
them that she had a daughter and if she would have kept her by her side she
would have condemned her to a bad life. She gave her hija to her sister so that
she can raise her, so that she can give her a home that Sol couldn’t give her.
She sacrificed herself to save her daughter. Her daughter has been happy, even
if they condemn her she will never regret what she did. She did it out of love.
Only love. Lucy/Rosa both hug Sol, while Fed is w/her arms crossed facing the
other way. Fed walks out. Rosa tells Sol, when she gets married she wants Sol
to live w/them. The only thing she doesn’t like about FJ is his hatred towards
the woman who killed his father, Sol. Sol looks anguished. Sol makes a
decision. She tells Jav that soon the secret is going to come out. Val put out
a detective to find her. They have to get Rosa out of Mexico. Lucy is in the
kitchen over hearing everything. Lucy goes rushing to Rosa jobs and tells her
what happened. Rosa is desperately waiting for FJ @ the restaurant. Sol tells herself that Rosa is not going to
want to leave and Sol can’t force her. She has no other alternative but to tell
FJ who she really is. She calls him but he wasn’t @ the office. The secretary
will give him the message that she will see him tonight. Rosa tells FJ everything. Rosa wants him to
take her far, far away, today as soon as possible. He tells her what about her
wedding dress and the party. Rosa is crying, she doesn’t care, she only wants
him to take her far away so they won’t separate her from him. He agrees, they
will get married today. It’ll be thru the civil but they will marry. Val is worried about FJ(like always) so she
calls the office. The secretary informs her that he’s not in but a lady named
Sol Romero left him a message. Val decides to go to the bufeta. Rosa asks abuelo Flor and her friend to be witnesses.
Rosa is ecstatic. The secretary told
Alf about Sol coming to visit FJ. Sol arrives @ the office and runs into Alf.
She tells him that she’s going to tell FJ the truth. He begs her to leave and
not say anything. He warns her that she has no clue on how much hate FJ has for
her and who knows what he’s going to do. He tells her to let Rosa/FJ be happy,
don’t destroy it. Sol-no, that love is impossible, we have to stop that
wedding. Rosa/FJ got married thru the
civil. FJ calls Alf to let him know the good news. He tells Sol that it’s too
late their already married. Val waltzs in and demands to know what is Sol doing
here.

5/8-12/00. Valeria agrees to take her daughter Abril, cared for all her life by
Ursula, into her house as a servant. Fernando José tells Rosalinda that Valeria
is his stepmother, prima de su madre que murió cuando era muy chico. Rosalinda
is pregnant. Fedra asks Soledad who her father is and dreams that he is rich.
Soledad tells Javier who believes that Fedra deserves to be disappointed. When
Fedra sees Alfredo and Soledad talking, she assumes that he is her father.
Berta questions, angrily, Alfredo when he returns from his visit to Soledad.
She wants him to forget Soledad; he seems confused by her anger (I’m not sure
if he realizes that she loves hiim). Javier welcomes FJ to his family. Rosa tells Soledad and her sisters, then
Javier, that she is pregnant. Valeria, who heard the news from Gerardo, tells
Alfredo. Abril arrives and is introduced to Alcira with whom she will share a
room. Fedra hears Alfredo call Marta Soledad. Rosalinda goes into labor;
Soledad accompanies her in the hospital while FJ and Alfredo wait. Fedra goes
to Valeria’s home, meets Berta and then Valeria. But when Valeria tells her
about Soledad (I’m not sure why), Fedra flees the house. Rosalinda has a baby
girl. He doctor calls Valeria and congratulates her. Detective Torres arrives.
He has discovered where Soledad is: she is living under the name of Marta, tia of
Rosalinda but that she is, in realidad, Rosalinda’s mother and Alfredo’s wife.
Fedra tells Alfredo that Soledad had a child in prison and she is that child.
Alfredo asks Soledad if she had a child and she admits it but doesn’t have the
chance to tell him it is Rosalinda. Berta tells Valeria not to tell Alfredo he
has a daughter because that will tie him to Soledad but Valeria is determined
to tell all. They go to Fernando José’s apartment. Rosalinda is sleeping.
Valeria tells him all and Soledad admits it is the truth but that Rosalinda
didn’t know. FJ doesn’t believe her, says he hates Rosalinda (who, waking,
overhears this) and runs down the stairs; she follows and tries to convince him
not to take his anger out on Rosalinda. Valeria enters Rosalinda’s bedroom and
tells her the whole truth: her mother is Soledad, her father is Alfredo and
Fernando José hates her and the child. She faints. Valeria has Berta take the
child; she will get rid of it. Instead, she takes the baby home. Alfredo
arrives home and hears the baby crying in Berta’s room. Berta tells him all.
Rosalinda awakes and, not finding her baby, wanders out of the apartment and
onto the street. When Soledad discovers she is missing, she goes to Javier.
They tell Fedra that Rosalinda, not she, is Alfredo’s daughter. Javier goes to
Valeria’s home but Valeria denies having the child. She asks ? to talk with
Fernando José. ? does but he refuses to speak to his mother. Rosalinda is
discovered wandering in a park and is hospitalized where the family visit her;
but she is completely out of her mind. Valeria visits Fernando José.

to walk out of the house with Erika. He tells her "I am taking her to

sinking lower into insanity. Fernando tells Valeria they must put all the hate
in the past. Fer arrives at the hospital, to find Rosa staring empty eyed. He
is stunned. SCENE TWO: Tears streaming down his face, Fernando begs
Rosa to forgive him. Rosa just stares at him. Fer tells Soledad he has brought
the baby with him. Soledad brings the baby to Rosa, who hides and screams out
"She is not my baby, I want my baby." SCENE THREE: Rosa keeps
screaming "NO NO! My baby is in her crib, bring my baby to me." Fer
blames himself for Rosa's insanity. He tells Soledad he will stay with Rosa and
help her. He spends a tearful moment with Rosa. Soledad tells Fer she would
like to take care of Erika until Rosa is better and he agrees. Rosa wakes up
and does not recognize Fer. Alfredo walks in and Rosa fearful that Fer and
Alfredo are going to steal her baby, runs away. She runs to the roof of the
hospital.Fer tries to stop her. SCENE
FOUR: Fernando grabs Rosa and brings
her back to her room. He tells Soledad he will never leave Rosa again. Alfredo
tells Soledad he wants to confess the truth to Valeria. The next day, Abuelo
visits Rosa, brings her white roses and she gives him a weak smile as she holds
the roses. SCENE FIVE: Rosa keeps smiling as Abuelo, tears running
his face begs her "Don't you remember me."

Rosalinda wakes up to the baby crying! She picks her up. Soledad and FJ are in
the living room talking and hear Rosalinda screaming and the baby crying and
run in. They can't find the baby. Finally they locate her under the bed but
Rosalinda reaches for her and won't let go. They chase her around the living
room, when Soledad gets the baby from her. FJ holds Rosalinda while Soledad
leaves with the baby. While this going
on, Val is with Alfredo telling him that the baby cannot continue with that
crazy woman for a mother and a murdering grandmother. He asks what she is
proposing. Val says that she will take the baby away from them. FJ continues to hold Rosalinda as he
comforts her by saying that she needs to get well so she can hold her baby
again. FJ cries too as he watches Rosalinda walk to the bassinette and pick up
a pillow as if it is the baby and coo to her. Rosalinda is upset that the baby
has been taken from her again. Now we
begin today's episode which is the next day. FJ is with Rosalinda's doctors
explaining what happened. He says that Rosalinda won't eat and just walks
around carrying the pillow like if it is the baby. The doctors regret that the
baby was taken from the home again, but FJ tells them that he had no recourse
because she could injure the baby and not be aware of it. They recommend to him
that he has her committed to a sanitarium for the mentally impaired. He says
that he won't because he loves her too much and his heart will not allow it.
The doctors say that is the only place she can be helped. Rosalinda is sitting on the bed cooing to
the pillow as Soledad sits by watching over her. FJ enters the bedroom just
having returned from the visit with the doctors. FJ begins to cry as he sees
Rosalinda and Soledad leads him out so that Rosalinda will not see him and
possibly become upset. In the living
room, Soledad asks FJ what did the doctors say. He tells her about their
suggestion to commit her to the sanitarium. They both are visibly upset. Soila, Ascension (?) and Javier are all with
the baby taking care of her since Lucy went to the little store to take a
telephone call. They are talking of the baby and Rosalinda when Lucy enters all
upset and crying. She tells them about the possibility of committing Rosalinda
to the sanitarium. They all cry as they look @ baby Erica. Alfredo is with Soledad since he has come to
see Rosalinda. She tells him that Rosalinda is very bad, and informs him of the
sanitarium thing. He walks in to the bedroom to see Rosalinda who is holding
the pillow feeding it a bottle (I think it is a perfume bottle.) He becomes very
distressed @ seeing her like that. At
Val's, Enriqueta has called Val. Valeria asks if she has news of FJ. She tells
Val that Gerardo has informed her that FJ told him that Rosalinda might need to
be put in a sanitarium. Val smiles with pleasure. (What a bruja, and that is to
be nice.) Arcidia and Abril, the maids
@ Val's house talk about going out on Sunday. Abril wants to go to church, and
Arcidia says she needs to find a new boyfriend, so they need to go to Chapultepec
Park. Enriqueta continues her
conversation on the phone with Val by telling her that FJ is very stressed @
the possibility of having to commit Rosalinda. He doesn't want to, she tells
Val. Val asks, "Who is the baby with?" Alfredo is with Soledad blaming himself for what has happened to
Rosalinda. Sol says that if only the pregnancy had been know to her, then she
would never have taken the blame for the death of Jose Fernando. Alfredo wants
to know if Rosalinda knows that she is their daughter. Sol isn't sure but
thinks that Val told her. Getting ready
for bed, Val is with Berta talking of Rosalinda and the baby. She says that
Soledad better enjoy having the baby now because soon she is going to take her
away from them. Rosalinda is ready for
bed staring out the window. FJ walks in, takes his pajama top off and goes to
Rosalinda. He says that she is so very beautiful and has a strong desire to
hold her in his arms like before. He puts her head against his bare chest,
kisses her on the cheeks, then finally on the lips. She does not respond to him
at all just has a blank stare. He leads her to the bed and tells her to rest
and sleep. He lies with her for a bit, then puts his shirt back on and leaves
her alone as he feels so sad as he makes a decision. He goes out into the living room and informs Soledad that he has
made a decision as to what should happen with Rosalinda. He first tells Soledad
that he tried to be with Rosalinda, and explains that he loves her so very much
and had a strong desire to be with her. He doesn't want for this to repeat
itself because he can't promise to contain himself again. Soledad says that she
understands what he is saying. He says that they will have her committed on
Sunday to the sanitarium. Soledad is upset but so is FJ at this decision.
A few days later it is Sunday, and
Soledad and FJ have packed Rosalinda's things and are leading her out of the
apartment. He says that he is going to get the car but first he looks @
Rosalinda and asks that she forgive him.
Lucy crying is sitting on the couch holding baby Erica. She is telling
Anival who is standing by the couch that she hates that Rosalinda is being
committed. She is visibly breaking down, and he comes and sits by her to
comfort her. Fedra walks in on them, and sarcastically says that he has become
the official comforter of her sister. He gives her an ugly stare. Next scene, Lucy is telling Fedra and Anival
that the baby will go live with FJ and Tia Soledad so they can take care of
her. Fedra says that Rosalinda will never get out of that place so that there
will not be no more Rosalinda. She does all this with no sympathy or feeling @
all for those around her. Same day
Sunday, the girls Abril and Arcidia are at the park in a procession. They
decide to go for refreshment, order orange drink and sit @ a table. Arcidia
starts to make eye contact with this guy across from them. She tells Abril that
he is very good looking and that there is another guy with him. This guy turns
out to be Beto, Rosalinda's brother. The guys walk over to meet them. Arcidia and
the Beto's friend are really eyeing each other. Beto looks @ Abril and makes a
face. FJ and Soledad have arrived @ the
sanitarium. While Rosalinda is being shown her room, etc., they are talking to
the Sister who is touring them around. She takes them to the garden where she
says the patients have unlimited access to be there all the time they want.
Soledad becomes frightened when she hears a scream and the Sister explains that
those are the more mentally sick but are separated by security from the ones
that aren't. FJ now wants to be shown to Rosalinda's room. When they enter, a
nurse is combing Rosalinda's hair. FJ doesn't like the fact that she is in a
room with several and asks for a sole room. Sister says that it is better to
have people together because alone they won't learn to get along, and that it
is to Rosalinda's benefit to be with others. Soledad begins to cry @ saying bye
to Rosalinda. FJ looks @ Rosalinda very sadly and then bids her goodbye
too. Back at the park, Beto doesn't
want to have anything to do with Abril because he tells his friend that she is
ugly enough to scare someone off. The friend finally convinces the friend and
tells him that he exaggerates about Abril. Beto agrees if his friend will pay
for everything because he isn't spending a cent on this gjrl. They go on a boat
ride on which finally Beto and Abril speak. She tells him that she works for a
rich lady, at which he becomes very interested. Lucy arrives @ the apartment to leave the baby with Soledad and
FJ. She makes all these comments about Rosalinda. FJ is very depressed and
tells Lucy to please stop because he can't think right now. He says that he
feels that he'll never see her out in the world again. At the clinic Rosalinda starts to think of
the baby, gets antsy and runs around the room. She finds the pillow and coos to
it like it's a baby. The other patient in the room takes it from her. Rosalinda
becomes upset and starts screaming and arguing with this other lady. The Sister
and the nurse intervene. The other patient makes fun of Rosalinda saying that
this is not a baby because it doesn't have a head, arms and legs. The nurse
takes this lady out of the room as the Sister tries to calm Rosalinda. The guys
(Beto and friend) take Arcidia and Abril back to where they live and work. Beto
really is in awe of where Abril lives and says that he is looking forward to
seeing her some more and that he will dream of her tonight. Alfredo is telling Berta about how he feels
that his daughter is in the sanitarium. He talks of his feelings for Soledad
and FJ's for Rosalinda. Berta thinks that FJ will get an annulment now because
he is so young. Alfredo says no because FJ loves Rosalinda very much and will
always wait for her, and especially because he feels more for her now because
of this misfortune. Berta wants to know about Soledad, and Alfredo says they
are together. Abril and Arcidia are
getting ready for bed and they talk of the guys. Abril is dreamy because Beto
said he would dream of her. At the same
time Beto and friend are walking down the street. Beto is telling his friend
that he is going to really see Abril a lot because she is going to be his
ticket to getting lots of money. They laugh.
A few days later, FJ calls the Sister to see how Rosalinda is doing. He
wants to see her. The Sister advises he wait but to do what he wants. Lucy and Fedra are talking at home. Fedra
says that FJ is young and probably will divorce Rosalinda so he can marry
again. Lucy doesn't think that FJ will ever divorce Rosalinda because he loves
her too much. Fedra says that we will wait and see. FJ is in the car with Gerardo saying how much he misses
Rosalinda. He thinks he can go crazy if he doesn't see her. They go to the
store because he wants to take her something when he goes to see her.
At the sanitarium, Rosalinda is rocking
the baby pillow, then she thinks that they need to go out. She goes to the
garden, runs into the Sister, who asks what she is doing. Rosalinda just
wanders around the garden and says to the baby pillow that they will leave this
place. Beto goes to Val's house to see
Abril. He tells security that he is her cousin and to please call her. Abril
goes out to see him a bit confused as to what cousin. She sees Beto and he
tells her that he had to see her and has been thinking much about her. Now we see Rosalinda up in a tree next to
the fence holding the baby pillow. She is wanting to leave. END OF EPISODE! STAY TUNED FOR: FJ arrives at the sanitarium to see Rosalinda and
they can't find her. He has brought her white roses.

04:41 Rosalinda is sent to the clinic for mental patients. She keeps on hugging
the little pillow thinking that's the baby. Then while walking through the garden,
she decides to take her pillow for a walk outside. So she climbs onto a tree,
with the intent of climbing over the wall, and get out of the streets, when she
drops the little pillow, she suffers once again the shock of thinking that her
baby is dead. So she digs a whole and buries the pillow. Meanwhile, Fernando Jose comes to visit her,
and Rosalinda is nowhere to be found, but she shows up all dirty and with muddy
hands, the nuns take her away to clean her up.
Rosalinda's roomie is in the kitchen licking the pot off. She steals a
box of matches and runs off. Fernando Jose is in Rosalinda's room, showing her
what he has brought her, chocolates, white roses, and a 'baby doll'. She takes
it and once again thinks that is her baby. She starts singing to it, and
Fernando Jose is remorseful again for seeing how Rosalinda has turned out.
Somehow through her daze, she notices that Fernando Jose is sad, and offers him
the doll, saying that the baby belongs to him also. And that she is not going
to share it with anybody else but him.
Valeria is kept notify of Fernando Jose's actions by Enriqueta
(Geraldo's mom). She gets a call, and tells Abril that she has permission to
visit Ursula, who is sick, and tells Arcidia to acompany Abril. They take off,
and visit Ursula, who is somewhat a mother figure to Abril. Ursula tells Abril
that she has asked her to come, because she is dying and wanted to say goodbye.
But Abril begs her to stay because she has no one in the world but her. But
Ursula says, you have your mother, Valeria.. Upon hearing this Arcidia is
shocked to know that Abril is Valeria's daughter. They leave and on the street,
Arcidia tells Abril that she should not be so meek to Valeria, that she should
stand up and tell Valeria about how bad she is being treated, etc.. They bump
into Beto and his friend, who tell them to go for a walk. which they do. At
this little park the couple separate, and Beto gets all mushy in front of Abril
in order to please her and they kiss. Arcidia tells Beto's friend that Abril
has a secret, that she is the daughter of their lady boss. Back at the Vencindad, everyone wants to
know if there is any news about Rosalinda's well-being. They wait for Fernando
Jose to drop by to tell him of his visit to Rosalinda, who upon arriving tells
them that she has reacted favorably, about how she liked the doll, and how she
shared it with him, etc. Fedra is still playing around with Anibal, and tells
him to plan the wedding. At which Anibal being so happy, tells Lucy who is once
again heartbroken. Alfredo goes by Fernando Jose's Apt. but he is out, Soledad
tells him, and somehow he notices that she had done something different (Lucy
has helped Soledad fix herself up with a better hairdo and some makeup).
Soledad says that she has changed these 20 years, and Alfredo tells her that
for him, she is still the same. And they hold hands.
Beto and his friends, get on a bus to go
home, after leaving the girls. On the bus, Beto finds out that Abril is in fact
Valeria's daughter. Then tells his friend that is good news, about how this
might change his fortune, and that soon he might be getting married. At the clinic, the roomie, looks and
searches Rosalinda's stuff. And not finding what she is looking for, she goes
outside and tells Rosalinda to give her the chocolates, and Rosalinda's tells
her that she has already given her all the chocolates. Then seeing the baby
doll, she tells Rosalinda to hand it over, and Rosalinda tells her NO that the
baby is hers. Nightime falls, and Rosalinda and the roomie are in their room,
the roomie waits for Rosalinda to fall asleep, then tries to take away the
doll, and they end up fighting, and a lot commotion goes on, they run out of
the room, and go into this storage room, the roomie suceeds in yanking the doll
out of Rosalinda's arms, and Rosalinda falls and knocks herself unconscious.
The roomie goes back to her room, and starts saying that she can warm some milk
for the baby. Then she starts lightining matches and dropping it on her bed,
and Rosalinda's bed. The fire grows, and the room is on fire, and so is the
roomie, while still clutching the doll.The whole clinic is now on fire.
Rosalinda wakes up and smells smoke and tries to get out. FREEZE FRAME Preview: Berta runs into
Valeria room clutching a newspaper saying that there is some horrifying news
about the clinic. Fernando Jose gets a call, and gets distressed upon hearing
what the other person is saying on the other side of the phone. And asks about
Rosalinda, Soledad hears this and asks :"Has something happened to
Rosalinda?"

Universal, 4/18/99 - Rosalinda sufre otro ataque de locura cuando está en
consulta con el psiquiatra. Soledad no resiste más y se atreve a ir al
departamento de Fedra para ver a la niña. Erika se enferma y Alcira le pide a
Fedra que no vaya al concierto. Fernando José triunfa y Fedra quiere festejar.
Fedra llora de mentiras y simula gran preocupación por la niña. Fernando José y
Fedra se cuentan sus vidas. Aníbal le pregunta a Fernando José si es amante de
Fedra. Rosalinda está a punto de recuperar la razón.
El Diario
de Yucatan, 4/16/99 - En una consulta al psiquiatra, Rosalinda sufre una
crisis de locura y exige ver a su hija. El médico le informa a Alex que sufrió
un "shock" terrible, pero pronto se restablecerá. La hija de
Rosalinda enferma de fiebre. Fedra va al concierto de Fernando José y, como
desatiende a la niña, amenaza a Alcira para que no se lo diga a Fernando José.
Rosalinda recuerda que tiene una hija y pide que se la devuelvan. Le dice al
siquiatra el nombre de su hija y, con ese dato, el médico se dispone a buscar a
la familia de la joven.

El Universal, 4/25/99: Rosalinda ve la foto de Fernando José con Fedra. Valeria dice a Bertha que está desesperada desde que se fue su hijo. Rosalinda sale a cantar al escenario. Fedra se sorprende al verla. Fedra confiesa a Lucy que cayó en su propia trampa. Alex besa amoroso a Rosalinda. Bertha le dice a Fernando José que su madre está desconsolada. Rosalinda ve a la niña y siente gran ternura por ella.
El Diario de Yucatan, 4/25/99: Fernando José pide a Fedra que se casen y, para celebrar el compromiso, acuden a una fiesta en la cual actuará una nueva cantante: Paloma. Rosalinda sale a cantar al escenario. Fedra se sorprende al verla porque "se parece mucho" a su hermana. Fernando José no ve el principio de la actuación de la intérprete porque sale un momento del salón, pero al regresar contempla a la joven y murmura

dijeron que la que huyó se llama Luciana. Alex se siente dueño del amor de
Paloma y se enfrenta a Fernando José para exigirle que deje en paz a la joven.-

Valeria le pide a Alfredo, que la ayude a separar a su hijo de Paloma.

suficiente mujer para hacerlo feliz y lograr que olvide a Paloma. Valeria se
arma de valor y visita a Paloma para pedirle que se case con Fernando José, pero
como la joven no le hace caso, Valeria sugiere a su hijo que vaya a ver a la
cantante con la niña

Yucatan, 5/15/99: En el teatro Rosalinda recuerda toda su vida: que Fernando
José es su esposo, que tienen una hija... Sale corriendo del teatro y la
atropellan. Fernando José llega al hospital y saca a Alejandro, lo acusa de
haberle ocultado que Paloma era Rosalinda. Fedra va a ver a Valeria para
decirle que le confesó toda la verdad a Fernando José y teme que vaya a reaccionar
con violencia. Este llega en ese momento, le dice que la desprecia y que pedirá
la anulación del matrimonio. Después regresa al sanatorio, donde el médico le
advierte que hay pocas posibilidades de salvarle la vida a Rosalinda. La joven
tiene fiebre y en su delirio pronuncia con angustia el nombre de Alex. Fernando
José piensa que la ha perdido para siempre. En otro capítulo, llega toda la
familia de Rosalinda a visitarla, pues ya se supo su verdadera identidad.
Leonor aconseja a Fernando José que no haga caso de lo que dice Rosalinda en su
delirio. Fedra es detenida por la policía. Leonor la visita y la villana le
dice que se ha resignado a su suerte, que está pagando las maldades que
cometió. El médico, luego de pedir a todos que salgan de la habitación de
Rosalinda y que sólo se quede Alex, comienza a quitar poco a poco las vendas de
la cara de la joven. Alex grita horrorizado.-

06-26-2000 22:11 One: As Fernando plays the song he wrote for
Rosa, Paloma starts to remember her past. She has flashbacks of her life with Fer, remembers Valeria, Soledad,
Horacio and the day Valeria stole Erika. She runs out of the theater,
anguished, and is hit by a passing car!
Meanwhile, Abril tells Beto, Valeria has forbidden them from joining her at the
dinner table. Beto tells Valeria
"Whether you like it or not, Abril is your daughter, and we will sit here
for dinner." Valeria, angry leaves the room. Paloma is taken to the hospital. Fer finishes the concert,
unaware of Paloma's accident. At the hospital, Paloma is found to be in serious condition. On their way home,
Fedra and Fer argue over his playing the song he wrote for Rosa. Fer tells Fedra "Nothing or anyone will ever
destroy my love for Rosa." Paloma awakens, the Dr. tells her "Paloma
you have been in a serious car
accident." She replies "Why do you call me Paloma, my name is
Rosalinda Perez." Two: Alex tells
the staff at the hospital "No is to have access to Paloma." He is
then told Paloma is in grave danger of dying.
Alex grieves over this news. The Dr. then tells Alex that Paloma claims
to be Rosalinda Perez. He then tells Alex "Fer must be told." Alex agrees to do so. Alex
calls Fedra and tells her of the accident and that Paloma has regained her
memory. Rosa is taken into surgery.
Fedra tells Fer she married him for the opportunity to be rich, but later fell
in love with him and how much she loves
Erika. She then tells Fer "Rosa is alive." Three: Fedra tells Fer the truth of who died in the fire. It was
not Rosa. Rosa's surgery continues. Fer tells Fedra "Is this true?" Fedra then tells him
"Paloma is Rosa." Fer relives the moment he first saw Paloma. Fedra
tells Fer Alex knows who Paloma really
is. How he found her, helped her to become Paloma his creation. Fer wants to
know if Fedra knew all this before they
married. She tells him "Yes." Fer cries out "Rosa is alive, Rosa
is alive." Fedra then tells him "Rosa lived, she was in a car accident, and is
dying." Four: Fedra tells Fer how
Paloma ran out of the concert and was hit by a car. Fer cries out "No!
NO!" Alex now knows that Paloma
remembers who she really is. He goes to see her and tells her "For me you
will always be Paloma." Fedra wonders
if she did the right thing telling Fer the truth. Fer arrives at the
hospital and tells Alex to leave. Lucy tells Soledad of the concert. Angustias walks in and tells them
of Paloma's accident. Five: Soledad
wants to know if Paloma has died. She wonders if Paloma by looking so much like
Rosa, will end up as tragically as
Rosa. Beto goes to Valeria and blackmails her into giving him $$ to keep quiet
about Abril. Fedra finds out from Beto
that Abril is Valeria's daughter. The next day, Fer visits Alex. Fer tells Alex
"I know you knew all along Paloma is
Rosa.." Fedra visits Valeria and tells her of Paloma's accident and
that she has regained her memory. Valeria tells her "Fer will divorce you now." Alex tells Fer
he knows the reason why Rosa lost her memory. He knows that Alex signed her
into a sanitorium and then refused to
be by her side. Fer tells Alex he will sue him over his keeping Rosa's real
identity from him. Fer arrives home and
tells Fedra he plans to start proceedings to annul their marriage. Six: Fedra tells Fer he cannot divorce her.
Fer tells her "You kept the fact Paloma was Rosa and at that moment
Soledad walks in. She tells Fer "I
knew it, I knew she was Rosa, a mother knows these things." Fer then tells
Soledad how Fedra kept the truth from
them. Soledad confronts Fedra and Fedra confesses everything to her. Soledad
begs Fer to take her to see Rosa.
Soledad, crying, calls Alfredo and tells him "Our daughter is alive, she
is Paloma." They arrive at the hospital.
The Dr. agrees to allow Soledad visitation rights with Rosa. Rosa
awakens, looks at Soledad and says "MAMA, MAMA." This was the most emotional episode of
this novela. I hope you all enjoyed this summary. The next few weeks promise to

Yucatan, 5/23/99: Alfredo confiesa a Valeria que él mató a su esposo y, como
ella no lo cree, le cuenta detalles del crimen. Alfredo muere, Rosalinda llega
al funeral pero se niega a hablar con Fernando José. Valeria está llena de
remordimientos, desea revelar a Fernando José que Soledad no es una asesina,
sino que la acusaron injustamente. Rosalinda pide a Fedra las cosas de su hija,
quien está muy enferna, para llevársela. Fernando José presenta a Rosalinda la
demanda de divorcio, pero ella rompe el documento. Rosalinda comunica a
Alejandro que se irá a vivir a casa de sus papás, para que ahí atiendan a su
hija. Erika empeora y Rosalinda la lleva al médico, quien ordena que la
internen de emergencia. Por falta de vacunas la niña podría quedar paralítica.-

Rosy fed up with his misconceptions about
her, told him it would be better that they separated, but that she would
take her baby Fj said never, that she can go
off marry Alex and have children with him, and she said just as he could
with Fedra, Fj said exactly,...as a matter of
fact Fedra is already pregnant with his child, Rosy was heartbroken and
angry......then jumped in the first taxi and
left. That disgusting Fedra showed up at Anibals and invited him out to
lunch,,,,,Lucy visits with Soledad who
advises her to be honest with Anibal. Abuelo Florentino convinces
Soledad to fight for the inheritance (so that Rosy can have her plastic surgery) Val is contesting the will. Beto
continues his seduction of Val who is falling for his charm, they are interrupted when Fj visits Val, he is there to
ask about his real mother. Rosy gets home and seeks comfort in Soledad, Alex walks in and she runs into his arms
(paloma reaction) he is very caring and deceitful he makes Rosy believe that they have been lovers in the past. Javier
corners Fedra about her encounters with Annibal, she denies anything going on. Later she visits Rosy and puts on a
whole show, just to drop the bomb that she is
pregnant but Rosy beats her to the punch line, Fedra is surprised. Rosy
tells her she can have Fj but she wants
Ericka back. Fj gets lectured by Jerry about having jumped to the wrong
conclusion about Rosy once again, Fj says
Rosy has changed, Jerry what did he expected after all she's been
through, Fj decides he could never go back to
Fedra, but he will look after their child just as with Ericka.

out how she is progressing. Fedra, once again tries to convince Fer how happy
they can be together. He does not buy it. Rosa makes her stage debut singing
"Rosalinda." Total Thalia, fabulous!
Abril goes to Valeria, who continues to insult her. She calls her ugly
and stupid. The family gathers backstage, after Rosa's successful debut. They
all admire the result of her plastic surgery. Rosa, happy, exclaims "I am
Rosalinda." Fer thanks Fedra for taking care of Erika and loving her as
she does. They spend a night on the town, dining and dancing (Fedra's
suggestion). Scene Two: Anibal
continues to daydream of Fedra. Lucy walks in and they once again argue over
her keeping the truth from him. Alex tells Rosa he wants her to travel with her
act and she refuses. She wants to stay close to the family. Alone, Rosa thinks
of her success, realizing she has (she thinks) a short time left to enjoy it.
Fedra, after drinking too much, almost succeeds in seducing Fer. He stops in
time and leaves her alone. YES! Rosa visits her Dr. who tells her she must rest.
(He too thinks the test results which were meant for Fedra are Rosa's). While
Rosa is in the Dr's. office, Fedra walks in. Berta and Abuelo meet to discuss
Valeria. She gives him an envelope with the evidence he needs to bring Valeria
down. Scene Three: Fer visits Gerardo,
who tells him he wants to sell the restaurant and Fer agrees to buy it from
him. Fedra, in the Dr's. office, tells Rosa how happy Erika is with her. Later,
she starts to feel weak and almost faints. (Fedra). Gerardo tells Fer, Rosa's new
act is completely different from her act as "Paloma." Fer is puzzled.
Valeria continues to daydream of Beto. He walks into her library and tells her
he wants to borrow a book. As she reaches for a book, she slips and falls into
his arms. Abril walks in as he is about to kiss her. He tells Abril to wait for
him in the bedroom, walks out, leaving Valeria panting. Fer goes to the theatre looking for Rosa.
Abuelo goes to search for the woman in the envelope Berta gave him. He comes
accross a rundown shack. Abril begs Beto they must leave Valeria's house and he
of course, refuses. Abuelo, knocks on the door of the shack, and holding the
picture of the woman who is beautiful and sophisticated (Laura Zapata), is met
by a woman known as "The Witch" who is filthy and ragged. Obviously
drunk. Later, in her shack, while she is holding the photo, she tells Abuelo,
"I am the woman in this picture." He is shocked at this revelation.
Fer continues to taunt Rosa, telling her how disappointed he is in what she has
become. A cold, calculating woman with no morals. Rosa slaps him. Scene Four: Rosa tells Fer "Leave, you
don't deserve my love." Fer tells her she will never see Erika again.
Later, alone, Rosa cries for Fer and their lost love. At the shack, the woman, tells Abuelo the story of her past with
Fer's father. She tells Abuelo "It is better Fer continue to think I am
dead. Would he want me like this?" Fer, walking away from Rosa, cries
desperately for Rosa. At the theatre, Soledad begs Rosa to tell her the truth
behind her change of attitude.
Valeria, once again dreams of Beto
making love to her, while Beto tells his friend, he is actually beginning to be
attracted to Valeria. Rosa, promises Soledad she will talk to her the following
day. Scene Five: Fer tells Fedra
everything regarding Rosa is over. She tells him she knows he will never love
her, but she is willing to give it a try. Miserias goes to see Abril and tells
her of Rosa's concert. He convinces her to buy tickets and he will take her.
Berta tells Valeria she has been to Alfredo's grave, something Valeria has not
done. Valeria tells her "You really hate me don't you?" Abuelo tells
Havier,he has found Fer's real mother. Javier is shocked over this. They
realize she is the legal heir to the fortune Valeria is enjoying and must
somehow be stopped. Fer tells Gerardo he plans to start divorce proceedings
against Rosa. Scene Six: Fedra visits Anibal and finally succeeds in
seducing him. Fer tells Gerardo he is sure he wants this divorce Rosa because
she has changed so much. However, he still loves her deeply. Soledad visits
Rosa the next day, bringing her a canary, and tells her "We are going to
talk." Later, Anibal and Fedra, come out of the bedroom, where Anibal
tells her "You used me, you don't love me, what about Lucy? Fedra reminds
him an hour before he stopped thinking of Lucy. She tells him soon your wildest
dream will come true and walks out. Soledad continues to question Rosa, she
tells her she is afraid Rosa is acting like someone who has been given a death
sentence. Rosa tells her "That is exactly what I have been given."
Soledad is torn with grief over the news. Abuelo visits Fer's mother again and
begs her "Something must be done to bring down Valeria." Valeria runs
into Miserias and Abril. He tells her he knows Abril is her daughter. Soledad, grieving over the news Rosa has
given her, now understands why Rosa turned Fer away. Rosa tells her "I did
it for Fer and Erika, I love them both deeply." "I made this
sacrifice for them." Freeze

ayuda de Alex. Marion seduce a Alex. Rosalinda comenta a Leonor que está

muchacho. Valeria ésta como ida. Rosalinda se pone feliz al ver que su hija da
sus primeros pasos. Fernando José confiesa a Fedra, que le hizo mucho daño a
Rosalinda. Valeria recupera la razón, su último deseo que Rosalinda y su hijo
se unan.
Diario de
Yucatan, 5/30/99: Rosalinda comenta a Leonor que está confundida. A veces
quisiera deshacerse de Fernando José y Alex para quedarse sola con su hija.
Además, está asustada porque el Tullido Miserias volvió a aparecer. La familia
consuela a Rosalinda, quien ha tenido otro acceso de histeria. Por la noche, la
joven llega a casa de Fernando José y se lleva a su hija. Se hace un escándalo
porque nadie sabe dónde está la niña. Fernando José avisa a la policía.
Rosalinda vaga por la ciudad, duerme debajo de unas escaleras y en la mañana la
encuentra un limosnero que la lleva a su casa para ayudarla, pero ahí está el
Tullido Miserias. Fernando José reprocha a su madre que a su edad esté tratando
de seducir a un muchachito. Valeria le responde con incoherencias y Fernando
José se da cuenta que ella está perdiendo sus facultades mentales. Trata de
ayudarla, la villana confiesa la verdad en el crimen que cometió Alfredo y que
le achacaron a Leonor. Rosalinda confiesa que el amor de su vida es Fernando
José, pero es demasiado tarde y no puede rechazar a Alex. Antes de morir,
Valeria recupera la razón, pide perdón a Leonor por haberle arruinado la vida,
su último deseo es que Fernando José y Rosalinda se unan.-

Opens with Fer taunting Rosa, telling her she has become an immoral,
cold woman and is not interested in her explanations. Rosa tells him she will
leave, however, he must remember she will never be the same Rosa again, and
will fight for Erika. Above all, she will do everything to erase him from her
heart. Later, Rosa tells Soledad she will fight Fer for Erika. And in spite of
everything, she still loves Fer. Alone, in the rain, Fer cries remembering his
love for Rosa. He vows as Rosa has, to keep his love for her silent. Rosa
continues performing. Beto enters Valeria's room wearing his "briefs"
and jumps into bed with her! The seduction finally takes place. After her show,
Rosa and Soledad are talking when a man enters carrying a jewelry box for Rosa.
Soledad tells him "my daughter is not a cheap tart who can be
bought." Scene Two: Rosa's admirer, Augustin Morales, gives her
a gold necklace and invites her to dinner. Rosa tells him she knows of a
"perfect place" they can go to. Lucy and Anibal visit Fedra. Fedra
taunts Anibal by telling her she is not feeling well as she is carrying his
"nephew." Anibal looks worried. Berta sees Beto sneaking out of
Valeria's room. As Fer is greeting his guest, Luz Maria, Rosa walks in looking
drop dead gorgeous with Augustin on her arm. Fer looks upset. The pianist
starts to play "Rosalinda" and Fer tells Luz Maria, "Yes I know
her, she is beautiful but hollow." Rosa continues to flirt with Augustin
causing Fer to fume. Veronica learns more of Fer and Rosa. Soledad warns Rosa
of accepting gifts from Augustin. Rosa tells Soledad she just wanted Augustin
to make Fer jealous. Rosa tells Soledad "Augustin has plenty of $$ and I
need all I can get in order to get Erika back." Soledad is stunned at
hearing Rosa speak in this manner.
Veronica finds out how Fer and Fedra are keeping Rosa away from Erika.
Fer walks in and greets Veronica warmly. Berta finds Valeria in bed and teases
her on how late she slept this morning. She tells her this with a smirk on her
face. Fer tells Gerardo he saw Rosa with her "new man" last night.
Gerardo tells him he should not be so harsh with Rosa and that the best thing
for him would be to start meeting other women. He knows his marriage to Fedra
is a sham. Fer tells him of meeting Luz Maria. Veronica walks in as Rosa and
Soledad are discussing Erika and tells them "No parent should be separated
from his or her child." Scene
Four: Veronica introduces herself to
Soledad. Gerardo tells Fer he should try to see this new woman, to give it a
try. Natalia turns out to be Luz Maria's friend. And Natalia tells Luz of Fer
and Rosa's marriage. Luz tells Natalia, she likes Fer, but is not interested in
a relationship now,especially with a married man. However, she will be his
friend. Veronica now has her lease thanks to Rosa's help. Augustin's main hood
walks up to Rosa and gives her the keys to a brand new car. Rosa is
speechless! Scene Five: Soledad once agains warns Rosa of Augustin.
Rosa has returned the keys and tells Soledad she is sure Augustin will now stay
away. Gerardo and Natalia start dating and plan to get Fer and Luz together.
Augustin alone, plans how he is going to conquer Rosa. The man is a real HOOD!
Very dangerous! Valeria receives a call, threatening her with exposure as the
caller saw her kill Valeria. This person tells her he will keep quiet for
$$$$$$$$. Turns out to be Beto and his friend! Fedra's nurse tells Fer and
Fedra that Veronica left the house without permission and when she warned her,
Veronica was rude to her. Fer tells Fedra he will speak to Veronica. Veronica
and Rosa seat down to talk and Rosa tells her how much alike they are. She also
tells Veronica that in spite of her appearing poor she has ways and manners of
a rich woman. Veronica tells her she once was rich, and Rosa begs her to tell
her the story of her life. Rosa tells her they both lost a child, this makes
them close. Abril goes to Valeria for
solace over Beto and Valeria rejects her. The police return to Valeria's house
for more questioning. Berta tells Abril the best thing she can do is divorce
Beto and throw him out of the house. Berta tells Abril she thinks Miseriasa was
murdered. Abril tells Berta how Valeria told her when she asked of Miserias,
"You will never hear from him again, as the death do not speak." Scene Six:
Beto and his friend plan on how they are going to get $$$ from Valeria.
Beto also tells him of his tryst with Valeria. Rosa tells Soledad she is sure
Augustin is out of their lives. Augustin's HOOD approaches Alex and tells him
Augustin wants to see him. Alex questions this and the HOOD shows him his gun
and tells him he must come with him. At Augustin's office, Alex questions his
reason for this meeting. Augustin threatens Alex with harm if he continues to
interfere in his plans for Rosa. As Rosa is taking a shower, the police knock
on the door, and tell Soledad they have come to question Rosa of Miseria's
death. Soledad looks at them and says "I am Rosalinda." FREEZE

USA 7/21/00. Rinconlatino: Subject: summary Author: Nena Date: 07-22-2000 22:52 While with Fedra Fj wonders why Vero left without saying
anything, Fedra tells him that she received a call from her son. Fj is happy
that she is reuniting with her son. Abuelo Flor lectures Vero about giving up
and tries to convince her to go back and fight for her rights. Vero (crying)
refuses, she doesn’t feel it makes sense to continue trying. Soledad is very
worried and desperate to find out what is going on with the ransom, Javier
tries to calm her and says that if she isn’t released (that night) he is going
report it to the police dept. Friends and neighbors are gathered outside Rosys
house waiting to hear news and exchanging stories about rosys life. Val and
Beto continue their affair and are both laughing at abrils desire to change her
look for Beto, just then Abil walks in with a new dew and makeup, Beto’s jaw
drops and Vals eyes pop! Beto is turned on by Abrils change and invites her out
to dinner, Val is furious and refuses to go despite abril begging her to join
them. At his restaurant Fj asks Jerry to be his partner, jerry thanks him for
the offer and for buying out his house. Fj then gives it back to Jerry as a
wedding gift. Florentino, Lucy, Anibal (his mom) Javier and Soledad are all
gathered waiting to hear about Rosalinda, the conversation goes to Fedra (they
could not reach her because of Georgina) then to Lucies infertility. Georgina
encourages Fedra to try and work things out with Fj before another woman comes
and takes her place. Alex and Luz Maria have lunch together to celebrate (he is
now her talent agent) As the group continues to talk about Lucy’s infertility Soledad
breaksdown, just then Rosalinda walks in and into moms embrace, they have a
tearful reunion, and the rest of the group joins in. Back in his office
Agustine decided he wants to marry Rosy, he is aware that she does not love him
but believes she is not indifferent, and that he can achieve her love. Rosy
thanks everyone, and confesses to Soledad that she had planned on running away
with Erica but then decided against it, and it was after she’d gone to church
she ran into Demetrios men. Alex wants to know if Luz Maria is seeing anyone,
and she says she is not in love but that she interested in someone, Alex
“jokes” he’s jealous and wants to kill “him” then he asks who it is (then looks
like he ate a lemon) when luz maria tells him Fj. Fj offers Nat a Job in
customer relations which she happily accepts, Jerry/Nat/Fj decide to have lunch
at the new restaurant to celebrate Fedra walks in and invites herself (none of
them look to happy) Flor tells Soledad that Val hired someone to kill Bertha.
As the group walks into the restaurant they see Alex and Luz Maria, Nat greets
Luz, Fedra has a jealous fit and needles Fj about Luz. Agustine visits Rosy and
tells Soledad he wants to marry Rosy, then he proposes to Rosy who puts him
off, but she suddenly embraces him and thanks him for his help and support,
Soledad leaves them. Beto/Abril arrive home happy about the changes in Abril,
Beto kisses her passionately as Val watches from the top of the stairs.
Agustine “I want you to be honest with me, do you only feel gratitude toward
me” Rosy sadly “I owe you my freedom…….(interrupted) Agustine “don’t be afraid
to tell me, I realize you don’t want to marry me cause you aren’t in love with
me, but tell me are you in love with another” Rosy “yes” Agustine sadly “the
father of your daughter” Rosy “yes, I never talk to you about it because it
still hurts” Agustine “I’m not one to beat around a bush, I like to know
exactly where I stand” Rosy “although I’m in the midst of getting a divorce,
and he thinks the worst of me, I still love that man, the man that made me a
woman (latin phrase). Agustine “it hurts to hear you talk that way, but I
realize that you can’t dictate your hearts yearning (also a latin phrase hard
to translate) goodbye, . . goodbye forever. Fj/Lux maria are alone in the lobby
talking Fj tells Luz he doesn’t want to mislead her, he is still in love with
his first wife, she tells him she knows and that she will do her best to make
him forget her, Fj likes the idea (looks hopeful) Rosalinda / Soledad talk
about Agustine, Rosy is sad about the way they parted Soledad tells her it was
the right thing to do, but Rosy laments how it happened. Agustine back at his
office is very sad. Fedra is now back at restaurant with FJ keeping tabs on
him. Rosalinda goes back to work and is welcomed by the theatre director,
soledad fills Alex in on the events, Alex tells soledad he is re-opening his
talent agency, but will continue to manage Rosy’s career. Fj/Fedra/Jerry/Nat
are having drinks all the while Fedra is needling Fj. Soledad and Rosy are
getting ready to go home, Agustine walks in and apologizes to Rosy for not
being able to stay away. Luz Maria walks into the restaurant alone (Fedra,
well, well, well, I should of guessed) but is joined soon after by Alex, then
Fedra needles Fj about his destiny being tied to Alex. Anibal confesses to lucy
that Fedra is going to have “his” baby. Lucy is furious, hurt, and disgusted
she throws Anibal out. At the restaurant (they all look uptight) Fedra gets up
to go to the ladies room when in walks Rosalinda with Agustine (looking
stunning in a red gown, the pianist is playing that song “to dream the
impossible dream”—don’t know the exact title {red symbolizes power can’t wait
for Monday) Fedra is stunned Fj looks angry/hurt/jealous, Nat looks intrigued,
Luz Maria looks worried and Alex looks happy then intrigued. Fj suddenly hops
out of his chair and tells the pianist to play another tune (I believe its
something that infers to a woman of loose morals, I didn’t quite catch the
title) Rosy looks at Fj (as if calling him a jerk) she then looks at Fedra as
if saying “look at me now” Don’t’ miss
Monday……..I love that power red! ! ! LOL

renunciar a su hija. Lucy espera recuperar el amor de Aníbal. Alex descubre que
Verónica es la madre de Fernando José. Rosalinda presiente una tragedia entre
los dos hombres que más quiere. Fernando José se sorprende, luego llora lleno
de ternura al conocer a Verónica. Rosalinda se entera del sufrimiento que
padece Fernando José. Rosalinda aclara a Alex que no es propiedad de nadie.

Diario de
Yucatan, 6/6/99: Fernando José se niega terminantemente a que su hija se
quede con Rosalinda y que la niña considere a Alex como su papá. Alex descubre
que Verónica es la madre de Fernando José y siente lástima por ella, pero
después piensa que podría utilizarla para eliminar a su rival y quedarse con
Rosalinda. Fernando José se asusta al conocer a su verdadera madre, Verónica.
Rosalinda se entera de que el joven está sufriendo y va a consolarlo, pero Alex
va a buscarla y le recuerda que él la sacó de su antigua situación y le brindó
una nueva vida.-
USA 7/24-28/00. Soledad offers Berta her friendshiph.
? tells Fedra she will tell FJ that Fedra’s baby isn’t his. Ramiro offers to
help Berta and send Beto to jail. Rosalinda finds Verónica dying; Verónica
tells her that she is Fernando José’s mother, that Valeria made her husband
believe she had been unfaithful. Berta is dead. Verónica confronts Valeria.
Abril has changed into a lovely young woman but still acts as a servant.
Rosalinda tells JF that she loves Augustín.

ropita para el niño. Alex y Rosalinda fijan fecha para la boda. Rosalinda
sorprende a Alex con otra mujer y rompe su compromiso con él. Fedra manda a
Erika a vivir con Rosalinda. Fedra decide renunciar a Fernando José. Fernando
José hace creer a todos que está fuera del país. Fernando José exige a
Rosalinda que ante Dios jure que no lo ama. Se casan Fernando José y Rosalinda.
Diario de
Yucatan, 6/13/99:Aníbal da la sorpresa a Lucy llevando una cuna y ropa para
niño. Le platica que un gran amigo suyo murió junto con su esposa y le dejaron
encargado a su bebé, al que adoptarán y se llamará como él. Alex y Rosalinda
fijan fecha para su boda. Soledad y Javier ven poco entusiasmada a la joven.
Fedra está feliz porque ya nada se interpone en su relación con Fernando José,
excepto él mismo, quien le advierte que no la quiere y sigue enamorado de
Rosalinda, aunque sabe que la ha perdido para siempre. Rosalinda sorprende a
Alex besando a otra mujer. El trata de explicarle que ella se le insinuó y que
en realidad no le interesa. Rosalinda encuentra al fin la oportunidad para
terminar su relación con él y así lo hace. Fedra manda a Alcira con la niña
para que se quede definitivamente con Rosalinda.-
USA. ULTIMA SEMANA. 7/31/00 - 8/4/00.
USA, 7/27/00. Rosalinda tells everybody that Abril is Valeria’s daughter. Abril leaves home and goes to live with Veronica. Soledad gains Alfredo’s inheritance. Fedra is dying. Javier tells the police that Valeria hired his son Beto to kill Berta. The lawyer tells FJ that he must share custody of his child with Rosalinda.
USA,7/31/00. FJ hears Rosalinda ask Augustín to marry her. Lucy and Anibal have reconciled. Abril decides to divorce Beto and tells Javier that his son is Valeria’s lover. Valeria thinks she is pregnant but discovers that she is just going through the menopause. Soledad talks to Augustín about Rosalinda and FJ; he knows that Rosalinda doesn’t love him but is sure that will change with time. Abril discovers pictures of FJ in Verónica’s room and the latter confesses that she is his mother. Veronica tells Abril how she let Valeria into her house and how Valeria lied to her husband saying that Veronica had a lover and was guilty of embezzlement. Rosalinda decides to give up her career to care for her child. Alex apologizes for all the harm he did and admits that he told FJ they were lovers. She forgives him. He has found happiness with Dulce Maria. Augustin tells his brother that he will marry Rosalinda. The doctor explains to Soledad that he has discovered how Rosalinda got the wrong medical results: both women were registered as Mrs. FJ. The woman who is dying is Fedra.
USA, 8/1/00. Rosalinda confronts FJ, returning his flowers, etc. He tells her that Fedra is dying. They declare their love for each other. Rosalinda visits Feddra in the hospital. Florencio tells Valeria that Beto did not destroy Berta’s written confession. Valeria doesn’t believe him, thinks he is trying to blackmail him, puts poison in his orange juice. Augustín and Demetrio talk. Augustín learns for the first time that Demetrio has always hated him because he stole Ernestine, the only woman he had ever loved. Augustín didn’t know. Demetrio swears to himself that Augustin will never be happy with Rosalinda. Soledad tells Javier that Fedra is dying. Fedra tells Rosalinda she has always hated her and her child Erica but when FJ arrives she turns all sweetness and light. FJ, who overheard Rosalinda saying she would take Erica away and never bother Fedra again, tells Rosalinda that he will never permit her to take Erica away from him. Valeria confronts Beto about Berta’s letter and he lies. Rosalinda and FJ go looking for ? and see Florentino lying on the sidewalk. Before dying in Rosalinda’s arms, Florentino tells her that Valeria poisoned him. They go to the police. Augustin finds an urchin being arrested by the police for stealing from his car and takes the child, David, under his wing.
USA, 8/2/00. In the hospital, Verónica says something to FJ that makes him angry. Rosalinda interposes herself and tell him that Veronica is his real mother. Fedra refuses to repent but her last words to FJ before dying are that the child just born is not his. FJ learns that the child is Anibal’s and gives it to him and Lucy. ? finds Berta’s letter and Valeria and Beto are arrested. Somehow, however, they are not jailed.
USA, 8/3/00. Veronica confronts Valeria in front of FJ and Valeria finally confesses that Veronica is telling the truth. Becky returns and learns that her grandfather Florentino has died. Veronica forgives Eugenia? and allows her to stay in the house working for FJ. Abril asks Javier to be her father and he agrees. Then she goes to Valeria’s house and finds Beto kissing Valeria and asks Valeria why she always hated her. Valeria tells her that she was the product of a rape by El Miserias. Veronica tells Abril that God has a purpose for her and offers her her home. The police arrest Valeria and Beto for the deaths of El Miserias, Berta and Florentino. At the station, they both accuse each other. FJ asks Rosalinda to marry him but she says no. Abril and Veronica decide to turn Valeria’s house into an orphanage. Rosalinda and Augustin make plans for their wedding. David goes to school. Augustin arranges some kind of raffle and Bonifacio wins a car. Alex asks Dulce Maria to marry him. FJ talks to Augustín, tells him that Rosalinda will never love him. Augustin tells him that he is not forcing her to marry him and is sure they will be happy.
USA, 8/4/00. The vecinidad arrives at Augustin’s ranch for the wedding. Demetrio watches. Bonifacio asks Javier if Rosalinda will be happy with Augustin. Soledad tells Veronica that she has tried but can’t change Rosalinda’s mind. Augustin shows Rosalinda the ranch. Gerardo and ?, Alex and Dulce Maria talk about FJ. FJ visits the tomb of his father. Veronica tells Augustin that a marriage without love can’t be happy. Soledad convinces Veronica to stay for the wedding. When FJ wakes up on the wedding day, he decides he must stop the wedding. Demetrio stations his gunman on a roof across from the church. In prison, Beto is attacked by the older men. The wedding starts. FJ drives fast and gets a flat. Then he takes a passing tractor and, finally, a horse. Soledad and Veronica are grateful that nobody can or wants to hurt Rosalinda now since Valeria is in jail. She is cleaning the bathroom and the matron tells her she will have plenty of practice to get it right. FJ arrives at the church and positions himself so that both Augustin and Rosalinda can see him. Rosalinda says that, yes, she accepts Augustin. FJ is desolate. Augustin, however, says no in the name of the love he has for her. He gives his place to FJ. Both Rosalinda and FJ praise and thank him. He leaves the church with David and they ride into the woods. There Demetrio says that he is satisfied since Augustin, too, will live alone. He will leave and probably never see him again. Augustin says that he is wrong; he has a son now. David asks who the man was. Augustin says “era me hermano”. Augustin tells David to fight for the woman he loves but to make sure that she loves him too. Rosalinda and FJ are married and ride off in the carriage provided by Augustin. FIN.
El Final (last 10 minutes, from Rinconlatino): Agustín cabalgando por el camino se encontró con su hermano quien le perdono la vida a cambio de el dolor por la perdida de Rosalinda. Agustín le dijo a su hijo que siempre debía luchar por la mujer amada siempre y cuando esta le corrspondiese. Corte a la iglesia donde los tonros se casaron A carrillo se le cayo el apuntador y el pobre no sabía que hacer!. Thalia boqueaba como pescecito de acuario y mostraba la lechería. Final super apurado como corresponde a novela que no debio haberse hecho. LOs novios parasdos en una carroza se despiden del punlico ... y parten los caballos y ellos s caen sentados ¡Pobres colitas! FIN Lo mejor, el vestido de Thalia le gano a la Rhys Jones. El "violadito de la carcel". Lupita de rodillas limpiando excusados. ¡Esa mujer tiene vena deactriz cómica!
El final de Rosalinda. by Mariela Hola Cristina! Vivo en Argentina y vi Rosalinda por televisión mexicana. Te cuento que al final de la novela, Rosalinda está a punto de casarse con su novio a quien no ama, cuyo hermano está dispuesto a asesinarlos cuando salgan de la iglesia para que no puedan ser felices. La ceremonia es interrumpida por la entrada de Fernando José, quien le pide a Rosalinda que se case con és, y que no se esclavice a un fombre a quien no ama. Sin embargo, ella había empeñado su palabra, y no retrocede: es su novio (no recuerdo su nombre porque hace bastante que la vi) quien da un paso atrás y permite que Fernado José se case con Rosalinda en la ceremonia que debía ser la de su casamiento, en su rancho. El se queda con el niño pobre a quien había rescatado en México DF, y Rosalinda y Fernando José se marchan, supuestamente para ser felices para siempre.
