El Universal, 11/19/00: “El Bucles”
intenta convencer a Javi que vuelva a ser jefe de la mafia. Mariano da una golpiza a Lucía. Vicente aconseja a Mariano que salga del
país, pero éste le ordena matar a Raquel. Gonzalo avisa a Manuel sobre la
golpiza a Lucía y que está grave. Los policías detienen a Mariano. Lucía cuenta
a Carmen que soñó con Javi. Manuel promete a Lucía que nunca la dejará sola.
Javi jura vengarse de Mariano y le envía un casete en donde dice que Elena
nunca fue infiel. Vicente acecha a Raquel para matarla.
Diario de Yucatan, 11/19/00: “El Bucles”

los negocios ilícitos. Mariano propina una golpiza a Lucía. Gonzalo escucha los

Sergio está en la cárcel. Dentro del penal, Sergio amenaza a Mariano con
matarlo si le hace daño a su familia. Manuel por su lado, le pide a Sergio que
no se acerque a Mariano para evitar que se compliquen las cosas. Manuel le
avisa a Onésimo que se preparen pues el hampa ya está organizando una gran
movilización para liberar a Mariano. Regina le pide a su tío un préstamo para
iniciar su negocio con las antiguas empleadas del hotel Casazul. Carmen le pide
a Gonzalo que reconsideren su separación porque ella no está segura de querer
divorciarse.

La Opinión, 9/7/03 [resumen de
9/1-5/03] Sólo telenovelas Laura M. López ‘TODO
POR AMOR’ KAZA, Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a
viernes, 9:00 p.m. Raquel pensaba dejar a Mariano para irse
a cualquier parte donde él no pudiera encontrarla, pero cuando fue a recoger a
Toñito a casa de Enrique, se vio obligada a decir porqué se quería llevar al
niño. Enrique esta súper molesto porque
Raquel no le dijo la verdad desde un principio al dejarle a su hijo con él. Enrique
estaba dispuesto a entregarlo a la policía, pero Raquel le dice que no
lograrían nada, ya que está protegido por la gente de arriba. Aún así, Enrique
se comunica con Manuel para pedirle consejo. Mientras
tanto, Enrique y Francisco le dicen a Raquel que es mejor que se quede con
ellos en la casa, pues de alguna manera pueden evitar que le hagan daño a ella
y al niño. Para esto, Raquel enfrenta a Mariano,
mientras comían en un restaurante, diciéndole que ella escuchó cuando hablaba
con Chente de la muerte de Elena y que lo iba a denunciar ante la policía. El
hombre se pone terriblemente enojado y casi a punto de sacar su pistola, a lo
que Raquel le dice que si también la iba a matar como a Elena y frente a todos. Mariano
se tragó su coraje y no pudo hacer nada para detener a Raquel, quien lo dejó
solo en el lugar ante la expectación de todos, puesto que los habían escuchado
discutir. Por otro lado, en casa de Carmen
seguían los planes para el negocio que estaban a punto de comenzar después que
todos se quedaron sin empleo al cerrar el hotel Casa Azul. Carmen
pretendía esconder su tristeza ante sus amigos de que la decisión de separarse
de Gonzalo era lo mejor para todos, pero todos la conocían tan bien que no se
lo creían, pero no hacían comentarios. Sólo Esther,
quien era con la que más comentaba lo de Gonzalo, sabía cuánto sufría por este
alejamiento de Gonzalo. El tampoco la estaba pasando mejor que Carmen, pero
respetaba la decisión de su mujer. Gonzalo se está
quedando temporalmente en el departamento de su hija María, sobre todo porque
ella ahora lo necesita más que nunca... con un embarazo muy avanzado y Sergio
en la cárcel no era de gran ayuda. Camilo recibe
la visita de Marlene en la cárcel y se pone feliz al verla, ella le promete
ahora sí dejar las drogas. Javier por otro lado, disfruta los momentos que pasa
al lado de su madre sin que ella sepa la verdadera identidad del muchacho.

rehenes es a favor de Sergio y solicitarán libertad bajo fianza. Carmen
pregunta por la situación de Camilo, éste tendrá que permanecer en prisión.
Carmen y sus amigos organizan su empresa. Lucía entrega la carta de Camilo a
Marlene, ella se culpa de lo sucedido y reconoce ama a Camilo. Raquel aprovecha
está en público con Mariano para decirle se va pues sabe mató a Helena e irá a
la policía si intenta hacer algo contra ella o la gente que quiere. Graciela
cena con Gonzalo, éste se dedica a tomar. Raquel llega por Toñito, Enrique la
detiene y llama a Manuel. Mariano furioso culpa a Lucía por la huida de Raquel.
Laura pide a Javier sea su chofer. Lucía llega a pedir una disculpa a Laura,
Javier la escucha y se esconde. Martes
2 septiembre Laura pide a Lucía le
platique del Javier que se enamoró, no del delincuente. Javier escucha
escondido. Manuel pone vigilancia para cuidar a Raquel, pues no pueden acusar a
Mariano que es intocable. Camilo y Sergio reciben una golpiza por orden de
Mariano. María espera a su padre que llega borracho. Javier explica a Laura se
fue porque llegó su amiga. Laura le platica regresó a buscar a su hijo pero
éste murió y Lucía es su nuera. Gonzalo visita a Sergio para advertirle no
lastime a María ya que él escogió seguir a Camilo y se olvidó de María y el
bebé. Vicente avisa a Mariano donde está Lucía. Lucía platica a Carmen lo
sucedido a Raquel con Mariano. Raquel pide a Enrique no se involucre, él no
acepta pues quiere protegerla. Mariano llega a casa de Carmen buscando a Lucía. Miércoles 3 septiembre Carmen se sorprende al ver a Mariano, Lucía
lo corre y éste la amenaza. Laura habla de su hijo a Javier. Raquel platica a
Manuel lo que sabe de Helena para que atrapen a Mariano. Javier instala una
cámara en el depto. de Manuel. Lucía avisa a Manuel la visita de Mariano. María
platica la situación de Sergio con Meche. Manuel tranquiliza a Carmen y deja
una patrulla cuidando en su casa. Mariano busca a Raquel a pesar que los
agentes tratan de impedirlo. Enrique sale a enfrentarse con Mariano. Meche se
entera que Gonzalo está separado de Carmen. Lucía pide a Sergio no encubra a
quien los ayudó en el asalto pero el asegura estaban solos. Graciela confiesa a
Carmen está enamorada de Gonzalo. Lucía sube con Manuel a su casa, Javier furioso
al verlos besarse. Jueves 4
septiembre Manuel percibe la
lejanía de Lucía, le pide se vaya y no se vean. Javier desesperado por ver a
Lucía con Manuel. Camilo habla de su preocupación por Marlene con Sergio, éste
le asegura Lucía y Carmen se ocuparán de ella. Meche busca a Gonzalo. Gonzalo
llama a Carmen al enterarse lo sucedido con Mariano. Regina se muestra negativa
con los planes para el negocio. Lucía platica a Carmen el problema con Manuel
al sugerirle una relación sin olvidar a Javier. Carmen visita a Gonzalo y se
encuentra a Meche que recuerda a éste su cita en la noche. Gonzalo trata de
hablar con Carmen pero incómoda se va. Marlene visita a Camilo en la cárcel, le
promete por él dejará la droga. Marlene le pide hagan el amor. Javier llega al
reclusorio acompañado por "El niño". Viernes
5 septiembre no hay resumen
USA, 9/1/03 - Gonzalo gets very drunk again. Graciela tries to cheer him up. Laura offers Javier work as her chauffeur. Raquel, frantic and scared, goes to Enrique’s house, blurts out her fear of Mariano, wants to take her son away. He refuses, calls the police. Lucia arrives at Laura’s house while Javier is there.
USA, 9/2/03 - Javier listens as Lucia talks to Laura about Javier, says that he would be alive if he hadn’t fallen in love with her. Laura admits it may be true, but he would still be a criminal. Lucia tells Laura that he was capable of an enormous tenderness. Laura asks if she still loves him. Lucia says she wishes she could forget him. Laura tells her how hard it has been to return to Mexico, to learn something of the child she left, to learn he was a criminal. She thanks Lucia for the visit, apologizes for her suffering.
Camilo and Sergio are beat up by a number of the prisoners, on orders of Mariano of course.
Manuel tells Francisco, Lucia, Enrique and Raquel there is nothing that he or the police can do except watch her. Lucia asks Raquel to stay with them.
A very drunk Gonzalo goes home to Maria who also isn’t feeling well.
Javier accepts Laura’s offer to work for her, and gets her to talk about her past. She tells him that her son died, twice: first, when she left him with his father, then when he died. She explains that she and her husband agreed it would be better for her son to live with his father. javier asks her if she ever tried to get him back, then apologizes. She tells him it is a long, sad story. He tells her he’s realized she is unhappy. She talks of the guilt of being away from her son, when she finally got up the nerve to find him again, she learned that he was dead.
Gonzalo visits Sergio in jail, says he is there to ask him to forget about Maria and his baby. Gonzalo tells him it doesn’t matter whether he believes Sergio’s reasons or not, and he doesn’t, but he had the chance to choose between his friend and Maria and his child, he chose his friend. Gonzalo asks Sergio to reject Maria should she come to see him. Then he leaves.
Mariano tells Chente that Raquela has to return to him, on her knees.
Lucia tells her mother that Mariano has threatened to kill Raquel.
Mariano visits Carmen’s house, says that he is a friend of Lucia.

9/3/03 - Mariano tells Carmen he wants to talk to Lucia, was told she was there. Carmen allows him to wait for Lucia. When Lucia arrives, she tells Mariano to leave and her mother to call the police. Mariano tells Lucia to stay away from Raquel.
Manuel talks
with Onésimo about Mariano, hears the same response as always. There is nothing
that Onésimo or the police can do. Manuel tells Enrique and Raquel.
Meche visits Maria, says she will help Maria when the baby comes, learns that Gonzalo has separated from Carmen. At dinner, she tells them that she will be moving back to the city coon.
Lucia visits Sergio in jail. She tells him that he has to tell who was their accomplice. He assures her there was none.
Mariano goes to Enrique’s house. Raquel tries to keep Francisco and Enrique from responding, but they do, a fight almost starts. Finally, Raquel tells Mariano she isn’t going to return, tells him she doesn’t love him. He asks her if she is sleeping with Enrique, smells her. Finally, he leaves.
Graciela talks with Carmen, tells her that she is in love with Gonzalo. She tells Carmen that he doesn’t know, and she feels bad, but she would prefer that Carmen not talk to her about Gonzalo anymore. Carmen doesn’t know what to say.
From his taxi, Javier watches and listens to Lucia and Manuel talking to each other (via a hidden camera). He tells her he would do anything for her. loves her with all his heart. They kiss each other as Javier goes nuts.in his car. .

9/4/03 - Javier drives off before the two start to make love. But Manuel stops, tells her that she isn’t with him. She tells him that she has to test herself. He tells her he can’t take this, leaves. Javier sits on the railing of an overpass, contemplates jumping, but doesn’t.
Graciela tells Gonzalo about Mariano. Then they talk a bit about hotel business. Meche interrupts them. Graciela leaves. Meche invites Gonzalo to dinner.
Carmen talks with Regina, Alvaro and Ester about how much they will be getting in liquidation, how much they will need to invest in a catering service. Regina raises all kinds of objections. She says she isn’t being negative but a business has to be based on logic, sufficient funds, etc.
Lucia talks with her mother about Manuel.
In jail, Camilo shows Sergio a hidden toothbrush, for defense? Then he gets a visit from Marlen. He’s surprised, didn’t want her to see him as he is now. She brings him some cookies and a sex magazine. She swears to him that she has had no drugs for several days, swears she is doing it for him, will succeed for him. She tells him nobody ever has done so much for her, it was incredibly foolish of him, but she is going to succeed because she loves him. She tells hom they are going to make love, has a sexy negligee, music, candle. .
Carmen visits Gonzalo at the hotel, runs into Meche or course. Meche leaves. Carmen starts to leave, Gonzalo asks her to stay. Carmen insists on paying rent. he asks her not to act as if they didn’t know each other. He asks if her attitude is due to Meche. She says no. He asks if he can come by to pick up something. She says certainly, doesn’t answer when he asks about Sergio.
Javier goes into the jail.

USA, 9/5/03 - javier talks with Sergio in jail, tells him he knows Sergio hasn’t told the police about him. Javier tells Sergio he knows that Lucia would go with him anywhere. Sergio tells him he would kill him. Javier thanks him, swears he won’t let Lucia know he is alive, knows how much harm it would do her. He gives Javier something, leaves the jail.
Gonzalo and Maria talk about Meche, about her moving into the apartment. Gonzalo tells her that he is a free man, can see anybody he wants to, right? He tells her he is dining with Meche.
In jail, Camilo tells Marlen he can take anything for her. She tells him to imagine a wonderful place. When she leaves, he asks for and gets, her camisole.
Mariano sees Carmen leave the house, goes in after Lucia, drags her, beats her, half-strangles her. Gonzalo arrives just as he is leaving. Gonzalo goes in through the house, finds Lucia on the floor. Gonzalo calls Manuel, asks to talk with Carmen, tells her what happened, says he is calling an ambulance.
Enrique and Raquel talk, tries to get her see the good side of the situation. Raquel assures him that Débora will give her back her job. She tells him he is more like his old self.
Mariano and Chente go home. Mariano assures Chente he didn’t hurt Lucia much, is sure nothing will happen. Chente advises him to call a lawyer. Mariano gives Chente a large check, just in case and to do him a favor, tells him to kill Raquel if he goes to jail, can’t do it himself because killing Helena destroyed him...and he loves Raquel.
In jail, Camilo tells Sergio how wonderful it was.
In her apartment, Marlen struggles, chooses alcohol over drugs.
Carmand, Enrique, Gonzalo, manuel wait in the hospital. The doctor tells them there were no broken bones or internal injuries, no sexual abuse, just external bruises. He says she will need to stay the night, just in case. It’s not much on which to arrest Mariano, but they will use it. Manuel takes the x-rays, asks for photos of the bruises.
Javier meets with Niño in a cafe. Javier tells him everything went perfectly, except that it is so hard to stay away from Lucia. Javier tells Niño he’d been following his mother, finally met her, is now working as her chauffeur. Javier tells him that Lucia is falling in love with Manuel. Onésimo, Manuel and several men arrest Mariano who just smiles as he is handcuffed. Onésimo leaves Manuel alone briefly with Mariano so he can punch him “a household accident”.
El Universal, 11/26/00:Manuel previene a Gonzalo
pues los jefes de la mafia intentarán liberar a Mariano. Manuel le dice a
Vicente que confirmó que Javi, ayudado por Camilo, fue quien le puso la trampa
para matar a Elena. Mariano se enfurece al no poder vengarse de Javi, pues lo
cree muerto. Carmen le pide a Gonzalo reiniciar su matrimonio. Regina se
desahoga con Enrique y le cuenta sus frustraciones personales y profesionales.
Mariano busca a Camilo y le exige que le diga cuánto le pagó Javi por engañarlo
y tenderle una trampa para matar a su esposa. María se pone grave.
Diario de Yucatan, 11/26/00: Enrique avisa a Raquel que los jefes de
la mafia ya ordenaron la liberación de Mariano. Pero ella no tiene miedo y le
pide a Déborah que la acompañe al reclusorio para visitar a Mariano y terminar
de una vez su relación con él. Sergio comenta a María que tal vez lo condenen a
muchos años. Le suplica que busque a otro hombre, más honrado y con menos
problemas que él para que no se quede sola. Ella se siente muy afectada y se
desmaya. Regina le platica a Carmen que su tío le prestó buen dinero, así que
ella también debe tenerle confianza, pues si el nuevo negocio tiene éxito todos
saldrán beneficiados.—
La Vanguardia, 11/27/00: Manuel previene
a Gonzalo pues los jefes de la mafia intentarán liberar a Mariano. Manuel le
dice a Vicente que confirmó que Javi, ayudado por Camilo, fue quien le puso la

TV Azteca,11/27 - 12/1/00:Manuel previene
a Gonzalo pues los jefes de la mafia intentarán liberar a Mariano y no les
importará matar a quien sea. Manuel le dice a Vicente que ya confirmó que Javi,
ayudado por Camilo, fue quien le puso la trampa a Mariano para matar a Elena.
Mientras, Mariano se enfurece al no poder vengarse de Javi pues lo cree muerto.
Carmen le pide a Gonzalo reiniciar su matrimonio. Regina se desahoga con
Enrique y le cuenta sus frustraciones personales y profesionales, después ambos
terminan en la cama. Mariano busca a Camilo y le exige que le diga cuánto le
pagó Javi por engañarlo y tenderle una trampa para matar a su esposa Elena. A
Raquel no le interesa correr peligro si visita a Mariano en el reclusorio, ella
sólo quiere terminar definitivamente toda relación con él. Por otro lado,
Sergio le pide a María que busque a otro hombre más honrado y con menos
problemas que él, para que no se quede sola ya que pasará muchos años en la
cárcel. Ella al escucharlo comienza a sentirse mal y es llevada a la enfermería
donde el médico le avisa a Sergio que María está grave. Regina le platica a
Carmen que su tío le prestó dinero, así que le pide que le tenga confianza,
pues si su nuevo negocio tiene éxito todos saldrán beneficiados. Manuel decide
regresar a trabajar a la policía. Mientras, Raquel en la cárcel le grita a
Mariano que es un asesino. "Todo por amor" se transmite de lunes a
viernes a las 9:00 de la noche por Azteca 13.

9/14/03 [resumen de 9/8-12/03] Sólo Telenovelas Laura

por amor KAZA Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a
viernes, 9:00 p.m. A Marlene a veces le llegan momentos de
desesperación y se le hace bastante difícil contenerse para no meterse en nada.
La forma más efectiva es pensar que Camilo pasará casi el resto de su vida en la
cárcel por querer ayudarla y ella no puede fallarle. Busca a
María para pedirle ayuda, pero ella se comporta fría y Marlene entiende porque
también Sergio está en la cárcel por apoyar a su amigo. Aun
así, Marlene le dice el motivo de su corta visita y le deja su número de
teléfono por si un día quiere platicar con ella. Poco
después la llamada de María no puede ser de lo más acertada cuando Marlene
estaba a punto de meterse la cocaína. Hablan un poco, pero lo suficiente para
que Marlene desista. Mientras tanto en la cárcel todo mundo
le daba la bienvenida y le hacían los honores a Mariano, quien aparentemente
era una persona que controlaba a todos los presos. Sergio al verlo estuvo a
punto de matarlo por lo que le hizo a Lucía, pero se controló. Mariano
estaba tan seguro que no duraría mucho tiempo en ese lugar donde tenía todos
los privilegios, pero tanto Manuel como el comandante buscarían hasta por
debajo de las piedras pruebas para el hombre nunca saliera de la cárcel. Lucía
poco a poco se recuperaba, pero aún en su mente recordaba las palabras de
Javier, como si las hubiera escuchado de verdad y no como parte de su
imaginación, por eso busca a Laura, la madre de Javier para hablar de él. Para
esto, Javier renuncia como chofer de Laura, pero aún así tienen una
conversación muy fuerte que los remonta al pasado cuando ella abandonó a su
hijo siendo muy niño. Aun así, Javier no le dice que él es ese hijo que
abandonó. Gonzalo y Carmen no saben que va a
suceder con su matrimonio porque ninguno quiere dar el primer paso para la
reconciliación, cosa que Meche aprovecha para tratar de conquistar a su ex
cuñado. Graciela de plano le dice que está
enamorada de él y que por eso terminó su amistad de tantos años con Carmen. Enrique
le jura a Raquel que si Mariano queda libre, él mismo lo matará con sus propias
manos, pero tal vez esto no suceda y sea el mismo Mariano que se quite la vida

pues terminará acercándose a ella. Javier y Laura escuchan la agresión que
sufrió Lucía en manos de Mariano. Gonzalo trata de acercarse a Carmen pero ella
no lo permite. Enrique agradece a Gonzalo ayudara a Lucía. Marlene dice a María
es culpable de que Sergio esté en la cárcel. Gonzalo declara a la policía en
contra de Mariano. Mariano advierte a Onésimo y a Manuel saldrá pues comprará a
los abogados. Lucía permanece sedada, Javier entra a verla y le jura no
permitirá nadie la lastime. Martes 9 septiembre El tío de Regina se niega a apoyarle con
dinero para el negocio. Manuel visita a Lucía en el hospital para decirle la
ama. Carmen cuestiona a Graciela el amor que siente por Gonzalo. Manuel avisa a
Carmen el traslado de Mariano al reclusorio donde está Sergio. Javier prepara
una grabación para empezar a vengarse de Mariano. Gonzalo se presenta a las
entrevistas que le pide Onésimo dé a los medios para hundir a Mariano. Lucía
hace su declaración de los hechos a la policía. Gonzalo comenta a Graciela lo
absurdo de su separación con Carmen. Graciela le pide no hable de sus problemas
pues ha terminado su amistad con Carmen porque se enamoró de él. Mariano se
acerca a Sergio en el reclusorio, le reclama golpeara a Lucía y pelean. Mariano
ordena nadie se meta. Miércoles 10 septiembre Sergio no se presta al
juego de Mariano que le dice lo mate, Mariano ordena en la cárcel no se metan
con Sergio. Graciela dice a Gonzalo que renuncia pero él no acepta. Manuel
discute con el abogado de Mariano y exige al director del reclusorio la
protección de Sergio. Quique cuestiona a Carmen la ausencia de Gonzalo. Onésimo
no encuentra algo firme en el caso de Mariano para mantenerlo en prisión.
Manuel le pide acepte lo que propone Raquel de encontrar el cadáver de Helena.
Gonzalo sale con Meche que trata de conquistarlo. Javier pregunta a Laura por
su interés en el caso de Mariano, ella le dice Lucía fue esposa de su hijo.
Javier le cuestiona el porqué abandonó a su hijo si era un niño. Laura llena de
culpa llora. Jueves 11 septiembre Marlene recibe una llamada de María que le
dice está preocupada por ella. Marlene le agradece y promete no drogarse.
Sergio habla con Manuel del problema con Mariano y le pide cuide a Lucía.
Javier y el Niño planean hacer llegar el casete a Mariano. María pregunta a
Gonzalo cuál es el plan con Meche, él asegura está bien. Chente avisa a Mariano
no pudo matar a Raquel pues le recuerda a Helena, Mariano enojado lo corre.
Lucía avisa a Carmen necesita salir y estar sola. El Niño avisa a Javier ya
envió el casete a Mariano. Lucía busca a Laura para hablar de Javier. Mariano
enloquece al escuchar la grabación de Javier. Raquel se disculpa con Lucía pues
cree es responsable de lo sucedido. Mariano ofrece dinero a su abogado para
salir libre, jura matar a Lucía. Viernes
12 septiembre Mariano obsesionado
escucha la grabación de Javier. Manuel avisa a Gonzalo que Mariano saldrá libre
por órdenes superiores. Gonzalo reclama a Onésimo no haga nada por impedirlo.
Carmen encuentra a Mariano en la cárcel y lo abofetea por lo que hizo a Lucía.
Meche insiste a Gonzalo salgan pero éste no acepta. Manuel visita a Lucía. Carmen llama a Marlene para ofrecerle su
amistad, no para fiscalizar su vida. Laura acepta Javier trabaje nuevamente con
ella. Carmen pide a Gonzalo termine su separación pues lo necesita, él rechaza
quiera regresen por los problemas que tiene. Manuel dice a Lucía sabe fue feliz
con Javier pero ahora ya es un recuerdo. Gonzalo arrepentido por rechazar a
Carmen pues la ama.
USA, 9/8/03 - Regina talks with Maria, tells her that Carmen’s plan can’t work because there is no capital, but they all think she is being just a “wet blanket”. Regina says it could be a good business, but not this way. Then they talk about Gonzalo and Carmen. Regina says she feels sorry for Gonzalo, thinks it must be hard to live with a woman whose life is surrounded by tragedies, as she warned it would be. Maria tells her about Gonzalo and Meche. Regina tells her that Gonzalo is her platonic love.
Niño tries to convince Javier to work. Javier says he is the taxi driver Fernando, has no many. Niño says he does. Nino tells him to forget Lucia, says this life isn’t for him. Then he leaves and Javier agrees to himself that this isn’t the life for him.
Camilo and Sergio talk.
Laura, Javier and others (in their separate homes) hear the news of the attack on Lucia.
In the hospital, Gonzalo offers Carmen a hug, but she rejects it. Enrique joins them, tells them that Raquel feels guilty. Enrique thanks Gonzalo who says he wishes he could have prevented the attack. Gonzalo gets a call from Manuel that Mariano is in custody. Enrique calls Raquel, tells her not to leave the house.
Marlen visits Maria who doesn’t want to talk to her. Marlen begs for a chance to explain, tells Maria she’s addicted to cocaine, has been clean for a couple of days but can’t stop thinking about it. Marlen tells Maria that Camilo committed the robbery for money to put her in a clinic. She tells Maria they made love, then gives Maria her address, says she would be happy if she would visit sometime.
At the police station, Gonzalo gives his declaration. Manuel joins him, says that normally Mariano would be in jail for 2-3 years, but giving Mariano’s influence....Gonzalo refuses a bodyguard for himself.
In jail, two fellow prisoners give Sergio news about Lucia, tell him that Mariano broke her face, sends his regards. Sergio hits the man who told him. The guards separate them.
In Lucia’s hospital room, Carmen, Enrique and Francisco talk briefly, leave and run into Marisol. They go to the cafeteria to eat. Enrique feels guilty for not being there for Lucia. After Marisol leaves, he asks her about Gonzalo, if she needs a place to live. Carmen tells him that she is staying in Gonzalo’s house, is thinking of paying him rent. When he starts to cry about Lucia, she comforts him. Back in front of Lucia’s room, Gonzalo finds them, tells them he has made his declaration. Enrique leaves them and Gonzalo tells Carmen how he wishes he had come sooner. She puts her head on his shoulder. He tells her he feels bad about not being able to go home with her, comfort her. Carmen is cool, thanks him for coming.
In his jail cell, Mariano laughs at Onésimo and Manuel.
In the kitchen, Camilo tells Sergio the guy could have been lying, just trying to start a fight.
Javier, in a doctor’s outfit, visits Lucia in her hospital room. She says his name, says “Javier, no te vayas, te extraño”, then seems to fall asleep again. He promises he will never leave her, nobody will ever hurt her again.

9/9/03 - Regina asks her uncle for help with the new business. She tells him that he owes her, for her father, for her work. He refuses, says it is too risky.
In the hospital, Lucia tells her mother that she dreamed that Javier visited her. Manuel arrives and Carmen leaves.
Javier tells Niño he is going to make Mariano suffer.
Graciela and Carmen talk about Graciela’s feelings for Gonzalo, how her feelings grew, her guilt, her hopes when his relationship with Carmen started to fail. The two women are very honest with each other about their feelings.
Chente aims a gun at Raquel and her son who are playing in the park. Then he sees all the police that are around her.
Javier tapes an anonymous message to Mariano who arrives at the same prison where Sergio and Camilo are.
Gonzalo visits Lucia, back home now, tells her that he loves her as much as Maria. A bit later, Carmen asks to arrange a time to talk.
In her bedroom, Onésimo, Manuel, Carmen and Enrique listen as Lucia describes what happened.
Gonzalo finishes an interview, returns to his office and tells Graciela that the police thought it would be a good idea to ruin Mariano’s reputation. He tells her that he saw Carmen again, feels even more strongly that the separation is ridiculous. Graciela asks him not to talk to her any more about their relationship. He assumes that she is bored. Graciela tells him that she and Carmen are having a problem. He doesn’t understand, which really surprises her. She tells him a story about two friends and how the one friend fell in love with the husband of the other.
In jail, Mariano talks with all his friends, then approaches Sergio, with his men behind him. Sergio tells Mariano that real men don’t beat up women. Mariano says there is an explanation. Sergio attacks him with some kind of weapon as the guards watch. But Mariano grabs the arm with the weapon. Then Mariano tells the others to stand back, not do anything, takes off his jacket and tells Sergio to kill him.

9/10/03 - Graciela tells Gonzalo she knows it was a mistake to tell Carmen, to tell him, asks Gonzalo to say something, but he doesn’t know what to say. She says she’ll resign, find him an old, fat assistant. He tells her he won’t accept a resignation, gives her a few days off.
While driving his cab, Javier recalls scenes from his past.
Carmen watches Gonzalo’s interview on TV.
Gonzalo goes out dancing with Meche.
When Javier arrives at Laura’s house, she is drunk and upset that he didn’t come when she called. He apologizes, says he had things to do, resigns. He notices all the newspapers open to the article about Lucia, asks about her interest. At first she is angry at him, then explains that they are about Lucia, the wife of her son. She tells him how guilty she feels, that she had no excuse for abandoning her son. She asks him if he thinks her son would have been different if she had raised him. Javier can’t say. He asks her if she loved him. She says of course she did: he was happy, intelligent, wonderful. Then Javier loses his cool, asks her if she ever thought what leaving him would do to him, can she imagine how he must have felt, he screams at her the question: how could she leave a defenseless child?

9/11/03 - [AA’s tape very, very bad. almost impossible to follow because of all the technical difficulties]. In her apartment, on her bed, Marlen struggles not to take cocaine. Just then, Maria calls her, apologizes for not being very friendly when they spoke before. Marlen tells her she can’t know how much her call meant to her in this moment. Maria gives her a phone number.
Lucia talks with Laura.
Javier plays the tape for Niño. Later, in jail, Mariano listens to Javier’s telling him how he set him up.

9/12/03 - Mariano replays the part of the tape in which Javier says that he killed an innocent woman.
Carmen visits Sergio in jail, gives him some food. They talk of Mariano. He tells her not to worry. Carmen assures him that she and Gonzalo didn’t separate because of him. Sergio asks her to call Maria, make sure she is ok. As Carmen leaves, she sees Mariano, screams at him, tells him not to dare to touch her son.
Mariano is taken to see the director who tells him there is an email for him: It contains a video of something, cartoon of an angel, picture of Helena.
Manuel calls Gonzalo, tells him that there is enormous pressure to release Mariano: lawyers, organizations for human rights. Gonzalo goes to the station to meet with Manuel and Onésimo. Onésimo tells him the pressure is coming from “arriba”. They’re all angry and frustrated. Onésimo says that they have to find the cadaver of Helena. Then Manuel is struck by something: Mariano was waiting to be taken to jail, wanted to go to jail; now he wants to get out. Why? As Gonzalo leaves, he asks about Lucia. Manuel says she likes him but still loves Javier.
Laura asks Javier why he wants to work for her again, was it her sad story. He says he just wants to work for her. She tells him he can stay, asks him to pick up a package for her. She asks him to come early the next morning, she’s going to see Lucia. Then she asks him if it would be wise to invest in taxis. He asks about Lucia; Laura tells him that Lucia advised her to forget Javier.
Manuel goes to see Lucia, talks briefly with Quique, then with Lucia. He tells her she is beautiful, that he is obsessed with her. He tells her he knows that Javier made her happy but can’t now. He takes her hand, asks her to close her eyes, rest.
Carmen calls Marlen, tells her that Sergio asked her to call, asks if she needs anything. Marlen swears that she hasn’t touched drugs. Carmen tells her she didn’t call to interfere in her life, act like a cop. Carmen tells Marlen she is a friend, that she and her family are there for her, if she needs to talk, go out, whatever. Marlen thanks her. But Marlen is very hyper.
Meche and Gonzalo drink and talk in the house, talk about ships, the past. She seems very drunk. Then she tells him it is time to go out for dinner. He tells her that he is not in the mood. She tells him she’ll go to her lonely hotel room, then says she is just teasing him. After she leaves, Carmen arrives. He asks her how she is. She tells him about the business they are trying to start, her visit to Sergio. She is very nervous, tells him she doesn’t think that living apart is helping them, hates being alone. He asks her what she wants. She tells him she needs his strength, support, understanding. He asks her if that’s what she wants, she has it. She tells him she misses him, his love. He tells her it hurts him that she is there solely out of a need for support in a difficult time. She tells him she loves him. He tells her he loves her, too, but they made a pact, she asked for space. He tells her that if he came to her every time he felt alone, he wouldn’t do anything else...but he hasn’t, didn’t want to pressure her and feared rejection. She tells him she is worried they won’t be able to reconcile. He reminds her that she is the one who asked for the separation. She tells him he doesn’t understand. He tells her that he, too, has discovered that he has doubts, questions without answers about his life. He tells her that this time, he needs to be alone, to pick up the pieces. He says he is sorry. After she leaves, he wonders why he did what he did, when he wanted so much to hold her, kiss her. For a moment, he imagines that she is putting her arms around him.

papel de madre sustituta y señora de la casa. Gonzalo no está, así que Carmen y
Meche tienen que sentarse juntas en la tensa espera. Manuel recibe un anónimo
que dice que en cuanto Mariano quede libre irá a la tumba de su mujer.
Nuevamente, Gonzalo y Carmen tienen una discusión, esta vez, en torno a la
amenaza de aborto de María y la supuesta culpa de Sergio. Ahora sí, el
rompimiento es definitivo. Carmen le comenta a Lucía que su matrimonio se acabó
y no tiene caso preguntarse si tendrá la fuerza para salir adelante.—
La Vanguardia, 12/4/00: Manuel recibe un

Meche haciendo el papel de madre sustituta, cuando llega Gonzalo, Carmen muy
molesta le reclama, vuelven a discutir y rompen su relación definitivamente.
Carmen le cuenta a Lucía la discusión con Gonzalo y le dice que ya no tiene
fuerzas para seguir luchando por él. Manuel y Onésimo comentan sobre el
cassette que recibió Mariano y el anónimo, por lo que sospechan que Javi está
vivo y fue quien lo mandó. Meche le confiesa a María que está tratando de
conquistar a Gonzalo a toda costa. Manuel descubre una cámara de video en su
casa y cree que Javi está vivo. Mientras, Javi planea el golpe final contra
Mariano; entra a su computadora y saca todos los archivos, le deja una broma de
Elena y provoca que Mariano casi enloquezca. Manuel le exige a Sergio que le
diga si Javi está vivo. Por otra parte, Enrique le pide a Raquel que se vaya a
Chihuahua con Toñito, ella no entiende y sospecha que algo grave está pasando.
Quique habla con Gonzalo y le dice que está confundido pues ahora tiene dos
"expapás". Camilo y Sergio se encuentran en las regaderas y sienten
escalofríos cuando otros reos llamados los "Malandros" se acercan con
la intensión de atacarlos sexualmente.

9/15-19/03] Sólo Telenovelas Todo por amor KAZA
Canal 52, Los Angeles, 9:00 p.m., lunes a viernes Marta
decide irse a vivir a Canadá ante la sorpresa de todos ya que contaban con ella
para el negocio de banquetes. Alvaro por su parte les dice que se siente
frustrado y cansado porque a pesar de tantas juntas, no ve el momento de
comenzar el proyecto. Regina les dice que no basta la emoción
y las ganas de querer hacerlo, lo que necesitan es dinero y bastante, lo cual
entre todos si juntan lo que tienen apenas si alcanza para lo más mínimo. Su
antigua jefa les dice que pronto les dará una buena noticia, que ya es tiempo de
que confíen en ella. Carmen habla con Alvaro y Ester de lo mismo, pero ignora
cuál es esa buena noticia. Regina visita a su tío y le exige le
regrese la herencia que le dejó su padre, claro, con los intereses ganados
hasta ese día. El hombre trató de convencerla que se quedaría sin nada si
invertía ese dinero en algo, que lo más seguro no funcionaría. La
muchacha no perdió su temperamento y permaneció firme, y antes de salir le dice
a su tío que visitará a los abogados de él y que para ese entonces espera que
ya haya girado instrucciones. María y Marlene
se hacen amigas y se apoyan mutuamente. Un día deciden que deben visitar a
Sergio y a Camilo en la cárcel. Raquel también los acompaña para de una vez
hablar con Mariano y la saque de tantas dudas, pero no logra mucho. María
en tanto, tiene que ser llevada de emergencia a la enfermería porque quizás con
la emoción de ver a Sergio y estar en ese lugar, estuvo a punto de abortar. Gonzalo
se pone furioso y le dice a su hija que porqué tuvo que ir a ese lugar. Carmen
al enterarse de lo sucedido, visita a María y se encuentra con Gonzalo. Ella
trata de conversar con él, pero ambos están tan dolidos que terminan siempre
discutiendo y cada día la posibilidad de una reconciliación es menor. Manuel
y el comandante están enojados porque Mariano va a quedar libre y la orden que
dio el juez tiene que ser ejecutada no discutida. Enrique dice que él va
matarlo con sus propias manos. Manuel recibe un anónimo que lo primero que hará
Mariano es ir al lugar donde está enterrada Elena. Javier
en tanto, casi está a punto de decirle a Laura que él es su hijo, al ver el
arrepentimiento de la mujer. Carmen por su parte no quiere que Lucía visite a
Laura para no lastimarse más.

informa a Enrique que Mariano va a quedar libre. Álvaro, Esther Angela y Carmen
deciden iniciar el negocio de los banquetes. Regina se integra al negocio de
los banquetes. Raquel le ruega a Mariano que ya no les haga mas daño a ella y a
su hijo. Marlene y Raquel llevan a María al Hospital para que la atiendan.
Manuel le informa a Carmen que Mariano va a quedar en libertad y le comenta que
si Lucia está mal no es por su culpa. María le comenta a Gonzalo que sufrió un
conato de aborto. Sergio se entera de que María y el bebé están bien. Onésimo
le asegura a Manuel que Lucia lo ama. Javier sin ser visto le hace llegar a
Manuel un sobre. Jueves 18 de
septiembre Gonzalo le pide a María
que de ahora en adelante solo debe pensar en ella y su bebé. Carmen le pide a
Lucia que no vuelva a ver a Laura la mamá de Javier. Gonzalo y Carmen dan por
terminada su relación. Carmen le comenta a Lucia su ruptura con Gonzalo.
Álvaro, Esther, Ángela y Carmen preparan los regalos para Martha. Regina le
exige a su tío que le devuelva su herencia. María le dice a Gonzalo que Meche
quiere todo con él. Javier escucha como Laura le pide perdón, creyéndolo
muerto. Camilo le avisa a Sergio que Mariano va a salir libre. Javier en su
mensaje anónimo le dice a Manuel que Mariano va a ir a la tumba de Helena.
Sergio le advierte a Mariano que lo va a matar por lo que le hizo a Lucia.
Javier está seguro de que Mariano no va a estar libre, mucho tiempo. Viernes 19 de septiembre Carmen se niega a hablar con Gonzalo. Javier
planea acabar con Mariano. Onesimo le dice a Manuel que está seguro de que
Javier está vivo. Mariano llora desesperado por Helena. Enrique le dice a
Raquel que es un pobre diablo, mediocre. Lucia le comenta a Manuel que le
pareció ver a Javier en el Hospital. Meche les informa a Gonzalo y a María que
se va a quedar con ellos hasta que María esté bien. Enrique sale armado de su
casa. Lucia le dice a Laura que no podrá seguir viéndola. Javier vigila a
Mariano. Enrique le dice a Carmen que es una mujer maravillosa y le pide que
cuide a sus hijos. Onesimo le informa a Manuel que ya puede volver a ser
policía. Manuel descubre una cámara oculta en su departamento. Gonzalo besa a
Mercedes. Enrique se enfrenta a golpes con Mariano. Manuel le pregunta a Sergio
si Javier está vivo.
USA, 9/15/03 - no episode. México Día de
Independencia
USA, 9/16/03 - Carmen returns home, depressed. Quique tries to cheer her up. Then Carmen goes to Lucia, cries on her shoulder, says that, now, Gonzalo wants to be alone. Lucia tries to cheer her up, but Carmen tells her that he seemed far away from her. When Carmen leaves her room, Lucia says to herself that he, at least, is alive.
In her home, Laura shows Javier all the remembrances she has of her son. She asks Javier what he thinks her son would have felt about her. He says he doesn’t know. He asks her what she would say if he were in front of her now. She tells Javier that she would ask him to forgive her, would cry for both of them. She asks him to hold her, and he does. They both cry.
Maria visits Marlen who has been smoking up a chimney. Maria brings her some mineral water, offers her friendship.
In jail, Chente visits Mariano who is still listening to Javier’s tape and writing something. Later, in the cafeteria, Mariano asks Camilo if he has ever been in love. Camilo says no, that “the girl” means nothing. Mariano asks Camilo how much Javier paid him to frame Helena. Camilo says he doesn’t know what Mariano is talking about. But, later, Camilo tells Sergio what he and Javier did. Sergio didn’t knows, asks why Camilo is tellin him now. Camilo says that Mariano knows, so they will have to be more careful than ever. Then, he and Sergio get into a boxing match for some reason.
Marlen and a very pregnant Maria visit Camilo and Sergio. Marlen and Camilo declare their love for each other, as do Maria and Sergio. But Sergio tells Maria to find a good man who will love her and care for their child. Marlen gives Camilo a pair of panties. Maria faints.

9/17/03 - Marlen accompanies Maria into the prison clinic.
Regina visits Enrique who is very upset because he’s just heard from Manuel that Mariano will be released the next day. Regina leaves when Raquel arrives. Enrique tells Raquel he is going to buy a gun.
Meanwhile, Ester, Carmen and Alvaro talk about the business. They are waiting for Regina. Then Ester tells them that Marta is thinking of moving to Canada.
Regina visits Carmen who is surprised to see her and a bit weepy, because of Gonzalo. Regina, too, is weepy. Carmen apologizes to Regina for being so abrupt with her the last time, but Regina brushes the apology aside, says she does want to be her business partner. Regina tells Carmen that she is going to get the money, they are going to have the best business ever.
Raquel visits Mariano in jail. She asks him why? She tells him he has money and power, she has none. He tells her not to worry. Both cry. She leaves.
Carmen eats with Manuel who tells her they’ve obtained a restraining order to keep Mariano away from Raquel and Luisa, the whole family. Carmen doubts that it will do any good. He also tells her that there is a distance between him and Lucia, and that distance is the memory of Javier.
Maria calls her father, says that she had a near-miscarriage, is ok as long as she rests. When she tells him that she went to see Sergio, he gets angry, as she expected. Raquel and Marlen are with her. Raquel gets angry when Maria says it wasn’t anything. Then she confesses that she has lost a baby.
The prison doctor tells Sergio that Maria and the baby are ok, but she won’t be able to visit, must stay in bed. Manuel and Onésimo get drunk in a bar.

USA, 9/18/03 - Carmen visits Maria, sees Meche there, but gets into an argument with Gonzalo about Sergio. Indeed, as she says, he seems to be tired of her and everything connected with her. She reminds him, however, that Maria’s child is her grandchild and that, much as he might want to, he can’t order 3 people (Maria, her child, and the father of her child) what to do. They part on very unfriendly terms.
The prison director tries to talk with Mariano, but he is obsessed with Javier’s tape, holds the recorder next to his ear and plays it over and over again.
Alvaro, Ester and Carmen prepare a surprise birthday party for Regina. [I think]
Regina visits her uncle, asks for her inheritance. He tells her it is well-invested in the hotel chain, he can offer her the position of Head of Personnel at some hotel. She insists. He tells her she will lost everything if she puts it into that foolish business. They go back and forth. Finally, Regina tells him that he doesn’t want her to grow up, that she is tired of trying to prove herself to him, that he has had the use of her inheritance for years and she wants it, with the accumulated interest. He still resists. She threatens to take him to court.

USA, 9/19/03 - Nino tells Javier about Mariano’s reaction to the tape. Javier gloats, knowing how he must feel to know that he killed somebody he loved without justification and knowing that Javier is dead.
Manuel and Onésimo talk about Javier and Lucia. Onésimo says that Javier will return for Lucia, won’t permit, for long, that Lucia is with Manuel. Manuel says that what really matters is that Lucia loves Javier not him.
Mariano returns home, gives orders to disperse his people. He orders Chente to give Norma, his maid, enough money to take care of her and her family. Mariano talks of how empty the house is without Elena, her smile, her laugh.
Enrique thanks Raquel for the years of happiness and understanding she gave him.
Manuel visits Lucia, tells her that Mariano is under guard, asks her if she has had the feeling that she is being watched. She admits that when she was in the hospital, she thought that Javier visited her. He asks her to call him the next time it happens.
Enrique leaves the house, with a gun. Raquel senses something strange about him. Then he visits Lucia and Quique. It is as if he is saying goodbye. Carmen tells Enrique she forbade Lucia to see Laura again; Enrique says that he agrees. They talk briefly of Gonzalo; he tells her that if he lived his life over, he wouldn’t want not to have known her.
Lucia calls Laura, says she doesn’t mean to be rude, but tells her that it isn’t good for her to see her. However, Lucia says she might call. Laura accepts and understands her decision.
Manuel discovers the video camera in his apartment.
Meche reminds Gonzalo of her birthday. He gives her a hug, promises her a party, agrees to have dinner with her in her apartment. He gives her a very warm kiss before she leaves his apartment.
Enrique goes to mariano’s house with a gun. Javier sees him. Enrique goes to the tennis court; Mariano tells Enrique to shoot, but he can’t. Enrique drops the gun, insists on a fistfight. Javier is in the bushes, with a gun. Enrique and Mariano fight, Enrique gets the worst of it. Mariano lets him take his gun, again tells him to kill him. But Enrique doesn’t, walks off the court. In the bushes, Javier breathes a sigh of relief.
Manuel visits Sergio in jail, asks if Javier is alive.

a detenerlo por separado. Javi continúa enloqueciendo a Mariano, en esta
ocasión, envía un mensaje por internet en donde le escribe que cuando mató a
Elena, ésta estaba embarazada. Mariano no sabe quién le envió el mensaje y en

a cenar a Laura prometiéndole una gran sorpresa. Onésimo
va a detener a Javi, se enfrentan a balazos y éste lo mata. Manuel jura
vengarse, Lucía quiere disuadirlo y se queda con él toda la noche, poco
después, sale sigilosamente mientras ella se queda dormida. Al despertar, Javi
está frente a ella jurándole amor eterno.
Camilo declara a favor de Sergio, por lo que pronto saldrá de la cárcel,
Carmen se alegra por la noticia y Lucía aprovecha para informarle que aceptó
casarse con Manuel. Javi al enterarse de la futura boda jura impedirla. "

pide a Sergio que delate a Javier para salvar a Lucia. Mariano descubre la foto
de Helena que le dejó Javier en su computadora. Onésimo le pide a Manuel que
como policía descubra quien es el tercer cómplice. Camilo le aconseja a Sergio
que delate a Javier Villegas. Enrique le pide a Raquel que por seguridad se
vaya a Chihuahua con Toñito. Laura le pregunta a Javier si no piensa volver a
enamorarse. Mariano le pide perdón a Raquel y le promete no volver a molestarla.
Gonzalo y Quique acuerdan seguir siendo amigos. Sergio le pide a Carmen que
cuide a María y a su hijo. Camilo impide que Sergio sea violado en la
cárcel. Martes 23 de septiembre Manuel le dice a Lucia y a Carmen que vuelve
a la policía. Suarez le advierte a Mariano que tiene que salir del país. Carmen
le pide a Gonzalo el divorcio. Marlene les confiesa a María y a Raquel que está
enamorada de Camilo. En la cárcel Camilo compra su seguridad y la de Sergio .
Lucia le dice a Laura que no se volverán a ver. El niño les avisa a Manuel y a
Onesimo que Mariano va a ir a buscar a Elena. Raquel le dice a Enrique que
comió con María y Marlene. Carmen le pide la casa a Enrique. Gonzalo le comenta
a Meche que se va a divorciar de Carmen. Javier hace que Mariano crea que mató
a Elena embarazada y sale desquiciado a buscarla. Miércoles 24 de septiembre Gonzalo y Meche hacen el amor. Onesimo y Manuel atrapan a Mariano
frente al cadáver de Elena. Javier le dispara a Manuel. Lucia le dice a Manuel
que quiere amarlo . Carmen ve a Gonzalo con Meche. Gonzalo le agradece a Manuel
por haber atrapado a Mariano. Javier le quita todo su dinero a Mariano. Camilo
le informa a Sergio que Mariano regresó a la cárcel. Mariano le advierte a
Suarez que si no lo saca de la cárcel, él pagará las consecuencias. Carmen le
comenta a Esther que su relación con Gonzalo se terminó. Meche le advierte a
Gonzalo que si decide estar con ella, lo estará totalmente. Lucia se despide de
Javier simbólicamente . Javier le dice a Niño que va a buscar a Lucia. Jueves 25 de septiembre Gonzalo le dice a María que hizo el amor con
Meche, pero que no quiere comprometerse . Onesimo le comenta a Manuel que va a
arrestar a Javier. Regina le dice a Carmen que ya tiene el capital para iniciar
el negocio. Mariano descubre que Javier está vivo y que le robó todo su dinero.
Onesimo acepta que su hija viva con él. Javier le pide a Laura que lo invite a
cenar. Gonzalo le dice a Carmen que está de acuerdo en el divorcio. Enrique le
pide perdón a María por no haber estado al pendiente de ella durante su
embarazo. Onesimo sigue a Niño. Enrique le dice a Carmen que la admira. Manuel
se escapa del Hospital y le pregunta Lucia si sería capaz de cualquier cosa por
estar junto a él. Onesimo sorprende a Javier en su casa. Viernes 26 de septiembre Javier reta a Mariano a que salga de la
cárcel y lo mate. Manuel
busca desesperado a Onesimo. Francisco y Marisol se besan. Javier mata a Onesimo. Lucia le pide a Manuel
que regrese a la Clínica. Mariano le pide ayuda a Raymundo para salir de la
cárcel. Gonzalo le comenta a Meche, que Carmen le pidió el divorcio. Carmen y
Lucia planean iniciar una nueva vida. Sergio le asegura a Camilo que no se va a
quedar para siempre en la cárcel. Javier le aconseja a Laura que no debe de
confiar tanto en la gente y se va sin despedirse. Manuel le dice a Lucia que
Onesimo está muerto

Mariano salió
de la cárcel tal como lo había ordenado, cosa que puso de mal humor a todos por
la facilidad con que lo logró. Enrique no salió tan bien librado de la golpiza
que quiso darle para vengar a Lucía y a Raquel.
Manuel y el
comandante tenían que hacer algo para que Mariano regresara a la cárcel, pero
que en esta ocasión no hubiera poder alguno que lo dejara libre una vez más.
Javier ya les
había dado una pista de lo que pudiera hacer Mariano tan pronto saliera de la
cárcel, pero ellos no estaban tan seguros, de igual manera lo tendrían
vigilado. El Niño se admiraba de cómo Javier conocía tan bien a su antiguo
socio.
Mariano se
estaba volviendo loco de sólo pensar que mató a Elena por celos y lo peor de
todo fue cuando recibió el correo electrónico donde le decían que Elena estaba
embarazada.
Suárez, el
abogado de Mariano le dijo que no había tiempo que perder, que ya estaba todo
listo para irse al extranjero, y que cualquier tontería que cometiera ahora sí
que nada lo salvaría de la cárcel.
Javier activó
desde afuera la computadora de Mariano para obligarlo a ir al lugar donde
enterró a Elena. Chente quiso detener a su jefe, pero no lo logró.
Cuando llegó la
policía al lugar, encontró a Mariano llorando abrazado al cadáver de su mujer,
prueba más que suficiente para arrestarlo y acusarlo de asesinato... ahora sí
que Mariano estaba perdido.
Manuel sintió
que alguien lo miraba fijamente y al buscar vio salir a alguien... él podía
jurar que era Javier y corrió tras él, así herido como estaba. Cuando Manuel
despertó en el hospital no podía recordar si lo soñó o de verdad lo vivió.
Para esto,
Laura le dice a Javier que sabe tanto del caso de Mariano como si lo conociera.
El contesta que ha seguido el caso desde el principio. Javier a veces quisiera
decirle a ella que es su hijo, pero prefiere callar.
Dentro de la
cárcel, Sergio le dice a María que debería enamorarse de alguien más porque él
no sabe cuánto tiempo va a pasar en la cárcel, pero otras veces quiere salir de
ahí cuando antes para ver crecer a su hijo.
Meche por su
parte, después de pasar una noche con Gonzalo le dice que le hable con la
verdad, porque no quiere compartirlo con nadie. Si Carmen continúa en esa
posición de seguir siendo madre primero, seguro que pierde a Gonzalo, aunque se
amen profundamente.
USA, 9/23/03 - Manuel visits lucia, tells her that he is joining the police again. She asks him why, if it has anything to do with the questions he asked her the day before. He says no, says he quit for her, but he has anything with her and has decided that he isn’t going to give up what he likes to do for her. Manuel tells Lucia and Carmen that his professor will take over Sergio’s case, has much more experience.
Mariano’s lawyer brings him a passport, says he has to leave town, at least for two weeks. He tells Mariano he will quit otherwise, won’t defend him against a murder charge if that is what he has in mind.
Gonzalo brings Quique home to Carmen. Quique can’t stop talking about the hamburger they made. Then Quique asks what he will do on weekends, now that he has two “ex-papas”. After Quique goes inside, Carmen and Gonzalo talk. Carmen tells him that she has the check for the first month’s rent. Then she says that she is planning to move back to the house where Enrique is living; he will be moving. Gonzalo asks why she has to do it so fast. She tells him that the house if full of him and without him, it is too painful. He tells her to do what he thinks is best. Then she asks him if they should get a divorce. Quique interrupts them.
Raquel, Marlen and Maria sit and each pretends to fake orgasms. Raquel tells up her first “machisto”, that afterwards she thought chocolate was better. Then she met Enrique who knew his business. Marlen tells them her first, most wonderful orgasm was with Camilo, in jail.
In jail, Camilo tells Sergio he’s brought protection, but Sergio is determined to get out of jail.
Laura tells Javier (Fernando) that she trusts him, but can’t see into his eyes. She tells him that his mother must have been pretty. He says she was. The bell rings. It is Lucia. Javier eavesdrops. She tells Laura the same thing she said on the phone, that she doesn’t want to see her again, talk to her again because it hurts her. She tells Laura that she doesn’t want to know more about Javier, wants to stop loving him. Lucia says that when she looks at Laura she sees Javier. They say goodbye.
Onésimo and Manuel talk about Javier. Onésimo is sure that he is alive. Then he gets an anonymous call from Niño saying that Mariano will be at Elena’s grave that night.
Gonzalo goes to Meche’s house for dinner, candlelit, brings her a present and embraces her as she opens it.
Carmen goes to Enrique’s house, is shocked by his face (very swollen). He tells her he took a gun to Mariano’s but realized he wasn’t a killer. She tells him she needs to talk to him about the house, doesn’t want to stay in Gonzalo’s. Enrique says he isn’t surprised, says the house is hers. He tells her that Raquel is planning to move to Chihuahua to be near her parents. Enrique admits he still loves her, but she doesn’t love him and she would be safer there. Then they eat with the children.
Gonzalo and Meche become lovers.

9/24/03 - Quique gets an email from Mina; he, Lucia and Carmen read it together. She is very happy. Carmen tells Quique not to give her any bad news.
Meche tells Gonzalo she has dreamed of making love to him many times, but reality was so much better. He tells her it isn’t easy for him to express himself. He says he thinks he should feel guilty because of Carmen, but he doesn’t. She asks him if there will be a second time. He says he would like that. She asks him to spend the night. He wonders about Maria. She tells him to tell Maria.
Mariano goes to Elena’s grave, digs her up, imagines her in perfect condition, dressed and made up beautifully. The police converge but Mariano is able to run away. Manuel goes after him. Onésimo calls out to take him alive. Mariano shoots Manuel. The police capture Mariano. Manuel sees somebody in the woods; it is Javier. Manuel races after him. They finally face each other with guns, but Manuel faints from his wound, wakes up in the hospital with Lucia by his side. She tells him how worried she was, how important he is to her. He asks her if she would feel the same if Javier weren’t dead. She tells him she wants him to get better, wants to love him. Gonzalez comes to the hospital; Carmen talks to him about her moving out of the house, meeting to split up those things that were “theirs”. Meche appears, they agree to see each other that night. Lucia comes out and walks away with Carmen. Gonzalo visits Javier, congratulates him, is grateful that Lucia will be safe now.
Javier tells Niño it would have been so easy to kill Manuel but he couldn’t, doesn’t know why. Then Javier tells Niño how, with the computer and a CD, he is going to transfer all of Mariano’s fortunes to “Fernando”.
Mariano returns to jail. His lawyer tells him he is cooked, can’t believe he was so stupid. But Mariano isn’t really listening. Then Mariano tells Suarez he has to get him out of jail, buy whomever he has to. His lawyer tells him it isn’t that easy, says he can’t. Mariano attacks him tells him to do what he says.
That night Meche talks to Gonzalo about Carmen. She tells him that she loves him, the night before was the most wonderful of her life, but her position is fragile. She tells him he can return to Carmen if he wants, but if he stays, she wants all of him. He tells her there is no hope of a reconciliation. She asks if he is sure. She tells him she doesn’t want to be a tool to salve his depression, his solitude.
In her room, Lucia says “goodbye” to Javier, says that she forgives him, “rest in peace”.
Niño tells Javier to leave the country, not to take any more chances. But he won’t, because of Lucia. He is going to get her, needs her.

9/26/03 - Gonzalo admits to Maria that he still loves Carmen.
Raquel and Enrique play with their son.
Onésimo visits Manuel in the hospital, with flowers. He tells Manuel that he knows Javier is alive, won’t wait for Manuel to recover, doesn’t care if Lucia learns the truth. Manuel asks him to wait, but Onésimo says he can’t risk Javier’s escaping.
Regina tells Carmen she got her money from her uncle so now they have capital. Carmen tells her how happy she is, how moved by her generosity. Regina starts to talk of the plans they have to make.
Mariano’s lawyer tells Mariano that his accountant has said that he doesn’t have un quinto. Mariano talks to him on the phone, can’t believe it, tells him he hasn’t touched a single account. Then Mariano realizes that Javier is alive, begs his lawyer to get him out of jail. The lawyer leaves.
Onésimo meets with his daughter. It has been a long time. He tells her how pretty she is, asks what he can do for her, asks about her mother. She tells him she wants to live with him. He tells her she can stay until she works things out with her mother.
Laura proposes a business deal with Javier: her money, his talent. He tells her such relationships never work. He agrees to think about it, invites her to dinner.
Carmen visits Gonzalo, proposes a simple divorce, without lawyers, asks what he thinks. He tells her she seems to have made all the decisions, what is there to say. She asks him why he treats her as the “mala”. He says that she has been very efficient, she is the one who wants a simple, fast divorce. She tells him that she is leaving him free, to do with his life what he wants, to be with whom he wants. He realizes she means Meche, asks what she expected. She tells him he went with the first woman who made herself available. He tells her it was she who wanted a separation. She says she asked only for some time. He tells her she is the only woman who matters. She tells him she loves him, but she can’t permit anybody, not even he, cheat on her again. He tells her that she is right, as usual, there is no way to reach an understanding. He tells her to do what she wants to do. She says goodbye.
Enrique visits Maria, apologizes for not being more attentive, says he is trying to change his life, with the help of Raquel.
Onésimo follows Niño.
Enrique asks Carmen if she is sure about Gonzalo. She says she hasn’t proof absolute, Gonzalo says there was nothing before their separation. He doesn’t know what to say. She says she hasn’t learned. He tells her she is wrong, she has changed. He tells her he admires much more the Carmen of now than the abnegada wife of before. She hugs him and thanks him.
Manuel drags himself out of bed, visits Lucia, asks her if she meant it when she said she would do anything to love again, asks her if she could be with him. She says yes, she is sure. He kisses her, then leaves.
Javier starts to leave his apartment with a present, goes back in, leaving the door open. Onésimo appears behind him with a gun.

saldrá de la cárcel, le pide a Mariano que lo incluya en su plan para fugarse.
Manuel asegura a Lucía que no sabe quién mató a Onésimo y le pregunta si está
segura de la boda.
Diario de Yucatan, 12/17/00: Camilo
insiste en su idea de escapar de la cárcel y le pide a Mariano que le permita
participar en su fuga. Mariano acepta con la condición de que le diga el
paradero del Javi. Javi llama a Lucía y le propone irse a vivir juntos donde
nadie los conozca. Manuel detiene al Chicarcas. Gonzalo presenta su renuncia y
acepta la propuesta de Salgadao de irse a México. Gonzalo dice a Carmen que se
mudará a la provincia. El Bucles siembra la duda en Javi sobre si Lucía lo ama
realmente. Meche se despide de María y Gonzalo, pues ahora sí se irá a
Veracruz. Manuel y Lucía deciden casarse lo antes posible. Adolfo confiesa a
Carmen que se siente muy atraído por ella. Javi le revela a Laura su verdadera
identidad.—

no sabe quién mató a Onésimo y aprovecha para preguntarle si está segura de la
boda. Más tarde, Javi llama a Lucía y le ruega que se vayan a vivir juntos a
donde nadie los encuentre. Raquel le confirma a Enrique que se irá a Chihuahua
a vivir definitivamente. Mientras Gonzalo renuncia a la gerencia del hotel y
acepta la proposición de Salgado. Manuel detiene al "Chicarcas", pero
cuando éste llega al reclusorio, Camilo lo ataca y lo hiere. Marlene no soporta
la soledad y cae de nuevo en las drogas. Gonzalo le avisa a Carmen que se irá a
vivir a Veracruz. Javi sigue insistiéndole a Lucía en fugarse juntos pero ella
le dice que la deje en paz y que no le haga más daño pues se casará con Manuel.
Javi no le cree y desesperado busca a Laura para decirle que él es el hijo que

10/5/03 [resumen de 9/29/03-10/3/03] Todo por amor KAZA Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a viernes
9 p.m. Una vez más Javier se llena las
manos de sangre al matar a Onésimo, no porque éste estaba a punto de hacer lo
mismo con él, sino por lo que dijo de Manuel y Lucía. Tal vez los celos lo cegaron
y disparó el arma a la vez que se imaginaba a la pareja haciendo el amor. Manuel estaba seguro que había sido Javier,
pues lo vio el día que detuvieron a Mariano en el lugar donde había enterrado a
Elena. Por eso fue a preguntarle a Sergio a la cárcel para confirmarlo. Por otro lado, el abogado, amigo de Manuel,
se había puesto al tanto del caso de Sergio y le dice a Carmen que si Camilo
firmaba la declaración donde Sergio quedaba fuera de toda culpa, saldría libre
más pronto de lo que creían. Sin embargo
Sergio se negaba a pedirle a Camilo que lo hiciera, pues eso quería decir que
probablemente Camilo pasaría muchos años en la cárcel. Camilo le dice al
abogado que prepare todo para firmar.
Cuando Marlene visita a Camilo en la cárcel le dice que si se porta
bien, tal vez le reduzcan la condena y sale antes. Camilo le dice que lo que
más desea ahora es tener un hijo con ella.
Después de los servicios fúnebres de Onésimo, Enrique le pide unos
momentos a Gonzalo para hablar de su situación con Carmen. Gonzalo acepta y al
rato platican como si fueran dos grandes amigos en vez de que uno es el ex
marido y el otro está a punto de serlo.
Gonzalo llega a su casa muy pasado de copas y María se sorprende de ver
a su padre en esas condiciones. Al día siguiente quiere hablar del asunto, pero
Gonzalo le responde que no tiene sentido ni quiere hablar de ello. Para esto, Lucía se había quedado a dormir
en casa de Manuel. Después que éste sale, la muchacha seguía dormida y sintió
la presencia de alguien que recorría su cuerpo con las manos. Ella pensó que
Manuel había regresado. Lucía creyó que
soñaba con Javier cuando escuchó su voz, pero éste la siguió llamando hasta que
ella despertó. Javier tuvo que calmarla y decirle que no estaba muerto y que si
seguía vivo era por ella. La muchacha,
después de escuchar todo lo que él hizo para hacerle creer a todo mundo
incluyendo a ella que estaba muerto, reaccionó y comenzó a reclamarle por
haberla hecho sufrir tanto. Quizás esto
era lo que ella necesitaba para decidir a aceptar casarse con Manuel.
9/29/03 - Onésimo disarms Javier, he turns around, taunts Onésimo that having a gun doesn’t give him the edge. Javier says he wouldn’t have found Mariano’s wife without his help, offers him money, asks his name. Niño comes up behind Onésimo with a gun. Javier takes Onésimo’s gun. Javier and Niño take Onésimo to a deserted place. Javier asks him why he is so quiet. Onésimo says he has an unfinished project. Javier tells him he doesn’t want to kill him, asks him to take the money. Onésimo says he would have yesterday but, today, no. Onésimo asks him how a winner like he is feels, knowing that his woman is in bed with another, with his friend Manuel. Javier gives him a sick grin, then shoots him in the head.
Mariano gets a tape recorder from Javier, telling him that he has probably guessed by now that he is alive. Javier tells him that Mariano hurt the woman he loved. Mariano exercises why he listens. Javier challenges him to get free and face him.
Marisela and Francisco talk, about her, about Lucia. They kiss.
Laura prepares for her dinner with Javier.
Lucia calls Manuel, is worried about him, worried about his showing up at her door the way he did, then leaving. He assures her that everything is fine.
Carmen and Lucia talk about Manuel. Then Carmen tells her that she asked Gonzalo for a divorce.
Meche aand Gonzalo dine together, she talks about their living together. He starts to tell her what it would be like to live with a man like he is. She tells him that she, too, has her idiosyncrasies.
At dinner, Laura asks Javier about his day (he says it was just ordinary), hopes one day to win his confidence. She tells him that he has her confidence, she is sure that he is a good man, incapable of harming anybody. Javier tells her that we all hurt somebody sometime, it is natural. She says she doesn’t mean making somebody cry, but doing something like she did, leaving her son. She tells him that her son Javier was a thief, a killer, can’t help wondering if it was her fault. She apologizes for always comparing him to her son. She goes to put on some jazz, asks him what he wanted to tell her. He tells her that she shouldn’t trust so much in others. When she comes back to the table, he has gone.
Lucia visits Manuel. He gets a call, hears that Onésimo is dead, tells Lucia.

9/30/03 - Onésimo is buried. Manuel tells his daughter that Onésimo talked of her every day [I think that is a lie.], was very proud of her.
Javier tells Niño the story of the poisonous ? that convinces a ? to take it across the river. In the middle, it bites. When asked why, knowing that both with die, the ? says it is his nature. Javier says he can’t change. Niño continues to try to convince him to leave the country.
Carmen meets with Sergio’s new lawyer. There is an immediate attraction between the two. They visit Sergio in jail and the lawyer tells him that Camilo has to take full responsibility for what happened. Sergio refuses to accept that condition. Later, he tells Camilo who says not to worry. Nothing could make things worse for him.
Manuel and Lucia make love. He leaves her briefly, afterwards.

10/1/03 - Gonzalo and Enrique get drunk in a bar, talk about Carmen but don’t really say much.
Javier sneaks into Lucia’s bedroom after Manuel leaves. After she realizes he is truly alive, she yells at him, demands to know if he realizes the pain he caused her, making her think she was responsible for his death. He tells her he meant to stay dead but loves her, can’t stay away from her. She tells him, finally, that she never wants to see her again. He leaves, she doesn’t tell Manuel when he returns.
Lucia tells Carmen she is going to marry Manuel. Carmen can’t believe it. She asks Lucia if she is pregnant; Lucia says no. Carmen tells her that Javier is dead, can’t let him affect the way she lives her life.
Quique finds Carmen reading. Carmen tells him it is about a case similar to Sergio’s that may help him. Quique tells her that he wants to visit Sergio. She agrees.

10/2/03 - Carmen is furious with Lucia, reminds her that she is only 20. Carmen tells Lucia she doesn’t believe that she is really in love with Manuel.
Manuel goes to the jail, asks Sergio if he knows that Javier is alive. Manuel tells him that Onésimo found him and Javier killed him. Sergio is evasive at first, then tells Manuel he can count on him.
Meche talks briefly to a hung-over Gonzalo at the hotel, feels uncomfortable, says they’ll see each other later.
Carmen and Sergio’s lawyer Rodolfo Mansero talk over coffee at home. He tells her that this is the first time that he has worked with the family of a defendant. Usually, the wife or mother doesn’t help. The doorbell rings. It is Enrique and Quique. Both Rodolfo and Enrique have the sensation that they know each other. Quique and Enrique leave, they are going to visit Sergio.
Rodolfo asks Carmen if she’s been divorced long. She says no. He apologizes, opens his briefcase, they start to go over some documents.
Marlen and Camilo have another marital visit. This time they have sex underneath a net canopy. Marlen tells Camilo that a lawyer told her he could get out in 5 years for good behavior. She asks if he can wait for her? He gets a funny smile on his face. She asks him what he is thinking. He tells her that he would love to have a child with her.
Manuel tries to find out everything that Onésimo was working on, what he was doing, what files he looked for, etc.
Sergio tells his father that he doesn’t want Quique to see him like this, but Enrique says that Quique wants it and calls him in. The two hug.
Camilo tells Sergio’s lawyer he will sign the declaration. Rodolfo tells him he would like to have a friend like him, shakes Camilo’s hand.
Enrique tries to talk Raquel into a “honeymoon”.
Regina tells Carmen, Alvaro and Ester that she has an engagement for them: at one of her uncle’s hotels. Then Rodolfo comes in and meets them all. After they leave, he tells Carmen that Camilo will sign the document. He is surprised that all she says is “que bueno”, realizes she is concerned for Camilo.
In jail, Camilo shows Sergio a cell phone he’s gotten. He uses it to call Maria. Gonzalo eavesdrops. Sergio tells her that he wants to see her. She says she will try.

10/3/03 - Carmen and her crew go to their first catering job. Ester, calculating the costs “on the go”, with a hand calculator, is worried about the costs. I think Regina has bankrolled it and she is furious at the low quality of the waiters.
Lucia tells her father and Francisco that she is going to marry Manuel. Enrique is a little concerned, but both give her their support.
Javier takes Laura to the house she left. Laura remembers her son, wonders why she left him, doesn’t understand now except that she was young. Javier can’t control himself, says he would demand to know how she could abandon a child, even animals don’t abandon their young. He tells Laura she has to kill Javier in her mind. She is frightened and shocked by his vehemence, by what appears to be hate in his eyes.
Maria visits Sergio. He tells her that he lied to her when he said he didn’t want to see her, wanted hre to find another man to love her, raise their child. He tells her he wants her to wait, wants to be a father, a husband.
The lawyer reminds Camila that if he makes the declaration, he will lose any chance of a defense. Camilo says he knows that and proceeds: he tells how it was his idea, why he needed the money, how Sergio twice refused to participate, that when he came he did so to stop Camilo, asked him repeatedly to give up.
Manuel talks to Lucia, wonders why she, all of a sudden said she would marry him.
Javier tells Nino about his last meeting with Laura. Nino defends her. He tries to keep Javier from going after Manuel, but can’t convince him.
Laura calls Lucia, begs her to come for one last visit. Lucia agrees. Laura tells her about visitng the old house with her chauffeur, his reaction, the hate in his eyes. Lucia wonders why the reactions of a chauffeur would matter to her. Laura says she can’t quite explain it, but he is more like a friend, she feels comfortable with him. It is apparent that Lucia suspects Fernando is Javier. She asks Laura if she would look for Javier if he were alive.
Lucia visits Sergio, tells him that Javier is alive, is upset to learn that he knows. Sergioi tries to justify himself, says he wanted to protect her, tells her to marry Manuel.

un motín en el reclusorio. Mientras, Sergio se enfrenta a Mariano y éste le
dispara pero Camilo se interpone y cae gravemente herido. Mariano logra escapar
de la cárcel; piensa vengarse de Javi y decide secuestrar a Quique. Mariano
llama a Lucía y le dice que tiene secuestrado a Quique; ella sale en busca de
él y Javi la sigue. Éste descubre que es una emboscada de Mariano y avisa a
Manuel. Ambos se alían para rescatarlos. Más tarde, en el operativo, los
policías acribillan a Mariano. "Todo por amor" se transmite de lunes
a viernes a las 9:00 de la noche por Azteca 13.

10/12/03 [resumen de 10/6-10/03] Sólo telenovelas Laura M. López 12 de octubre de 2003 TODO POR AMOR KAZA, Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Regina estaba muy furiosa con su tío pero,
más que nada, con ella misma por haberse dejado engañar tan fácilmente. En el
primer trabajo que consiguieron como organizadores de banquete, Carmen, Esther,
Alvaro y ella misma, lo habían perdido todo.
Regina les promete que todo lo que ellos invirtieron se los regresará,
ya que ella se siente responsable por haber confiado en la palabra de su tío y
no haberle pedido depósito. Claro que el grupo no acepta, pero aún así están
peor que antes, puesto que habían invertido todo lo que tenían. Cuando Gonzalo se enteró, va y busca al tío
de Regina y le presenta su renuncia por haberse burlado de su sobrina y de sus
antiguos empleados. El hombre le dice que no es para tanto, pero Gonzalo se
mantiene firme. Al ver la seriedad de
Gonzalo, el empresario le promete que les reembolsará la inversión, además de
un porcentaje extra si Gonzalo acepta hacerse cargo del nuevo proyecto que le
propone. Poco después Gonzalo le daba
la buena noticia a Carmen y ella se pone muy contenta. También él le pide que
si puede quedarse un tiempo más en la casa ahora que él se vaya, pues María no
quiere irse a vivir ahí por ahora. María
espera con ansias que Sergio salga de la cárcel y comenzar una nueva vida
juntos. Adolfo, el nuevo abogado le dice que hay muchas probabilidades que eso
suceda, ya que cuando los testigos fueron llamados de nuevo para declarar,
todos lo hicieron a favor de Sergio.
Camilo, por su parte, tenía otros planes para salir de la cárcel, ya que
Marlene necesitaba su ayuda urgentemente. Mariano acepta incluirlo en el grupo
que piensa escaparse de la cárcel con la condición que lo lleve directo a
Javier. Pero no sólo eso, Mariano le
dice que su venganza incluye hacer pedazos también a Lucía. Camilo no dice
nada, porque a pesar de todo, quiere a esa familia como si fuera la suya
propia. Mientras, fuera de la cárcel
Manuel cumplía el encargo de Camilo, de arrestar al hombre que le dio la droga
a Marlene, quien no pudo contenerse y volvió a caer. Cuando el tipo llega a la
cárcel, Camilo casi lo mata a golpes.
Lucía, por su parte, no se atreve decirle a Manuel que Javier está vivo
porque, como le dice éste, aún lo sigue amando y teme que Manuel lo mate. Lucía,
después de sentir los besos de Javier, acepta que no ha dejado de amarlo. En casa de Laura, ésta guardaba las últimas
cosas que se llevaría, puesto que ya no tiene caso quedarse ahí... llegó
buscando a su hijo, pero era demasiado tarde. Laura volcó en su chofer el amor
y la confianza que hubiera brindado a Javier.
Fue en esos momentos de despedida que Javier le dice la verdad a Laura,
pero ya el muchacho también había tomado una decisión... Laura ganó y perdió de
nuevo a su hijo en ese mismo momento.
Meche decide también irse de viaje, puesto que Gonzalo habló muy en
serio con ella, y le dice que no puede haber nada entre ellos, porque aún ama a
Carmen.

6 de octubre Carmen se
entera que la cena que les pidieron es en el hotel donde trabaja Gonzalo.
Sergio le avisa a Camilo que Lucia ya sabe que Javier esta vivo y le comento
que tiene miedo de salir corriendo a buscarlo. Marlene va a la cárcel a ver a
Camilo y le dice que otra vez volvió a caer con las drogas, que Chicarcas se
las dejo sobre la mesa. Golpean a Sergio y Raymundo lo salva y le promete que
nadie volverá a tocarlo. Carmen y los demás llegan al hotel, pero se dan cuenta
que les tendieron una trampa. Gonzalo les dice que Salvador le dijo que era un
cóctel no una cena. Regina le dice que le van a pagar hasta el ultimo centavo.
Javier llama a Manuel y le dice que Lucia y el van a estar juntos para siempre,
que no lo podrá evitar. Manuel le jura que lo va a matar. Martes 7 de
octubre Gonzalo le dice aMercedes
que no pueden seguir juntos, porque no la ama. Gonzalo busca a Carme para
pagarle lo que invirtieron en la cena. Llega a Adolfo a bscar a Carmen para
llevar la comida al Reclusorio. Raquel les hace un desayuno a Enrique y
Francisco para agradecerles su hospitalidad. Esther y Álvaro platican acerca de
sus vidas, pues los dos están muy solos. Salvador le ofrece a Gonzalo un
proyecto de trabajo en los Cabos, pero le da una condición, que le devuelva a
Regina todo el dinero que gastó en la cena. Mariano le pide a Camilo una prueba
de lealtad, para estar en su grupo, vigilar al director de Reclusorio. Gonzalo
habla con María que su planes, se va a ir fuera de la ciudad. Manuel arresta al
Chicarcas por vender droga. Javier le habla a Lucia y le dice que la ama, pero esta
le dice que nunca volverá con él. Miércoles
8 de octubre Graciela llega a
buscar a Gonzalo al hotel, Gonzalo le cuenta que se irá de México y que la
propuso para ocupar su supuesto en el Reforma Inn. Carmen visita a Camilo en el
reclusorio para decirle que puede contar con ella para todo ya que lo considera
parte de su familia. Carmen le da las gracias a Adolfo por todo lo que ha hecho
por Sergio. Camilo le da una golpiza al Chircarcas y le advierte que no se
vuelva acercar a Marlene. Carmen le pregunta a Manuel si es verdad que Lucia y
él se van a casar muy pronto. Raquel va a buscar a Enrique para decirle que su
mamá le pago los boletos a Chihuahua y que se irá mañana con Toñito. Mariano le
dice a Camilo que cuando salga se vengará de Javier con lo que más le duele
porque piensa destazar a Lucia. Francisco esta muy triste porque Raquel y
Tonito se irán. Lucia sale de casa de Manuel para tomar un Taxi y el chofer es
Javier, Javier le pregunta a Lucia si todavía lo ama y porque no le ha dicho a
Manuel que esta vivo. Jueves 9 de
octubre Lucía le dice a Javier que
se casará en unos días con Manuel. Meche va ha despedirse de Gonzalo y María ya
que se irá a vivir a Veracruz. Raquel le dice a Francisco que ella y Toñito se
irán a Chihuahua a vivir. Lucía busca a Manuel en la oficina para decirle que
la única razón por la que quiere casarse con él es porque lo quiere y quiere
que estén juntos para siempre. Quique quiere que Carmen invite a Gonzalo a su
fiesta de cumpleaños. Quique se ponen muy triste cuando Raquel llega con Toñito
y le dice que se va a ir a vivir a Chihuahua. Sergio le pregunta a Camilo que,
qué se trae con Mariano. Adolfo le pregunta a Carmen si tiene esperanzas de
regresar con Gonzalo. Enrique invita a Regina a tomar una copa. Graciela busca a
Carmen para que vuelvan a ser las mismas amigas de siempre. Javier llega a ver
a Laura y le confiesa que él es su hijo, Laura se siente muy mal y le dice que
es su culpa que él sea un asesino. Viernes 10 de octubre Graciela llega al Reforma Inn a visitar a
Gonzalo y lo besa. Lucia va a ver a Laura y la encuentra muy desconsolada pues
ya se enteró que Javier esta vivo y es su hijo. Gonzalo llega a buscar a Carmen
y ésta lo invita a cenar. Enrique le organiza una cena de despedida a Raquel y
a Toñito. Raquel le dice a Lucía que luche por su felicidad pues Manuel es un
buen hombre. Javier va a ver a Laura y le dice que si lo que quiere es su
perdón la perdona, Laura le pide que la deje seguir a su lado pero Javier le
dice que es imposible. Chente le dice a Mariano que ya está todo listo para la
fuga. Javier llega a buscar a Lucía pero ésta le pide que la deje en paz y se
vaya. Enrique, Francisco, Deborah y Quique van a la estación de autobuses a
despedir a Raquel y a Toñito antes de irse a Chihuahua.
10/6/03 - Carmen can believe that Regina hid the location of their next job from her for fear of her reaction; it is Gonzalo’s hotel.
Adolfo brings Carmen Camilo’s signed confession, is moved by her sadness over its consequences for Camilo, assures her that he will do what he can for him.
Marlen visits
Camilo, is desperate about something. He tells her to go to a clinic, get
help.

When Regina and the others arrive at the hotel, they discover that another catering outfit is there. Regina realizes that her uncle played a trick on her; she has nothing in writing, only his word. She starts to create a scene; Alvaro has to carry her away from the mike. After the four leave, Gonzalo calls her uncle, tells him he is garbage, asks if it wasn’t enough to pull the hotel out from under them, he had to humiliate and bankrupt them? Gonzalo asks if he knew that one of the four is his wife. Gonzalo is truly furious with the man, hangs up on him, then tries to assure the diners that all is ok.
Manuel talks with Lucia, tells her that he loves her, is sure of his love but he isn’t going to turn into one of those men who begs for love. She asks him to believe her, says she wants to be with him. They make love. Afterwards, the phone rings and Manuel answers. It is Javier who tells Manuel that she will never love him. Manuel tells him not to come near to Lucia. Javier asks if he will stop him?, asks if he will kill him? Javier reminds him that he is already and Lucia still loves him, that Lucia will hate him if he kills him again. Javier repeats the words to him that Onésimo said to him. Javier tells him that it is Lucia’s destiny to be with him. Manuel tells him he will break him into little pieces.
Alvaro and
Carmen eat their own cooking, something that Ester doesn’t understand. Regina
tells them she will accept all the consequences, it was she who was the stupid
one. Carmen disagrees. They start to fight. Regina says they are broke. Ester
says she didn’t take a job without an advance. Carmen says they are in this together.

10/7/03 - Gonzalo breaks up with Meche, apologizes. She is hurt and angry, says that he lied to her, made her believe it was over with Carmen. All he can do is say he was wrong, is sorry, didn’t mean to hurt her.
Raquel makes Enrique a very nice meal, tells him that she is moving into Débora’s house. He is a bit sad about it. They have a warm, affectionate conversation.
Gonzalo goes to the office of Regina’s uncle, Salvador?, expresses his indignation about what he did to, Gonzalo guesses, teach his niece a lesson. Gonzalo reminds him that the four people he hurt simply wanted to make a living, put all they had into the business and one of them was his wife. Gonzalo hands him his resignation. Some astute “poker playing” by Gonzalo follows and her gets Regina’s uncle to agree to reimburse the group for their expenses, plus 20%. But Gonzalo doesn’t trust his word, doesn’t give up until Regina’s uncle has called his accountant and ordered that a check be written. Then the two get down to business, a new project for Gonzalo having something to do with eco-tourism.
Ester and Alvaro sit outside Casa Azul, talk about their bad luck, try to cheer each other up.
Manuel visits Camilo in jail. Camilo asks his help, tells him about the dealer who tricked Marlen into taking drugs again, asks Manuel for his help. Manuel agrees provided that Camilo help him against Javier. Camilo agrees.
That night, a depressed Gonzalo and a depressed Maria talk about Carmen, his new job, Sergio. Gonzalo admits to Maria that the new job is a way to put distance between him and Carmen. She tells him that she doesn’t know if she and Sergio have a future together but, when he gets out, she wants to give them a chance. He seems to accept her decision.

10/8/03 - Carmen visits Camilo in jail, expresses her thanks to him, assures him of her support, tells him that Sergio’s lawyer will do his best for him. She talks of how he practically grew up in her house with Sergio, wonders if it is her fault how things turned out. Camilo talks about his mother, her last years in the sanitarium. And he tells Carmen how much he admires her as a mother, how lucky Sergio was to have her as a mother.
Sergio’s hearing takes place. Adolfo tells Carmen it went well..
Graciela visits Gonzalo in the hotel, tells him that she has recovered from her attack of love that, in fact, she is falling for an Italian she met over the internet. He tells her that he is leaving the hotel for a new project and has recommended that she be given his position. She is surprised, excited about the challenge.
Gonzalo visits Carmen, reminds her of their decision that the house would belong to their grandson. He explains that he will be traveling, that Maria isn’t prepared to move in and he doesn’t want to either sell or deal with renting out the house. He asks her to stay in it. She seems to agree.
Manuel, lying with his head in Lucia’s lap, responds to her expression of fear for him. He tells her she has to understand that he is a cop and, because of a personal matter, isn’t prepared to leave the force right now. He won’t explain what the personal matter is, but tells her that once it is concluded, he will go back to being an attorney if she asks him to.
Camilo calls Marlen who is obviously drugged.
Manuel puts the
dealer who got Marlen high again in jail; Camilo beats him up

10/9/03 - Javier challenges Lucia to call Manuel, says that she still loves him. She begs him to go away. She tells him she is going to marry in a few days. He tells her she won’t, she’s his wife. She tells him that she is a widow. He tells her she is right, she can marry when and to whom she wants. It won’t make any difference.
Raquel talks with Francisco, wants him to know that she will always care for him, wants to thank him for all he has done for her and her son. He tells her that she knows he loves her. [signal lost]
Lucia tells Manuel that she wants to marry him because she loves him, wants no shadow between them. Manuel hugs her, recalls Javier’s words about his knowing the woman he is with loves another. He doesn’t suspect anything strange about her wanting to marry him at once.
Raquel and Tonito visit Carmen to tell her and Quique that they are moving to Chihuahua. Quique becomes very angry. Raquel promises that they will visit each other, that Tonito and he will always be brothers. But it doesn’t help. Quique cries, goes off to play with Tonito. Later, Raquel says goodbye to Carmen.
Carmen and Adolfo eat together. He starts to broach his feelings for her, but she lets him know that she still loves her husband, and he accepts it.
Graciela gives Gonzalo a plan for his next project. She tries to console him about his situation with Carmen.
Regina and Enrique share a drink. He tells her that Raquel and Tonito are leaving tonight. He tells her that there is only friendship between them, but he had gotten used to living with them. She asks him if he still loves her. He says that sometimes he thinks he loves her as before, but then he realizes it is just his need not to be alone, to have a woman around. Regina teases him, says “lots of women”. She asks him why he invited her, then has the waiter bring him another drink.
Graciela visits Carmen.
Regina takes Enrique to the empty hotel, determined to do something absolutely “fuera de lugar”. They make love in a corridor, without promises.
Javier visits
Laura who is reluctant to let him in, asks if he has any insults left over? She
tells him she will no longer need his services, she is going back to Argentina,
not that she owes him any explanation.
He asks her if she has ever wondered why he keeps coming back. She asks
him to tell her what he wants to say straight out. He tells her that he sought
her out because he wanted to understand her. She asks why. He asks her to look
into his eyes, tells her that he is Javier. She thinks he is joking. He repeats
that he is her son. She says that Javier is dead. He asks her if she can see
herself in him. She accepts him, asks him why he didn’t tell her at first, let
her ask his forgiveness. He tells her that he thought she would lie to Javier
but not to Fernando. She tells him she loves him, asks him to forgive her, says
they can make up for lost time. He tells her that he can’t be her son, had to
find out why she left him, what he is. She tells him it is her fault that he is
a killer. He tells her that’s not true. He tells her it was a decision that he
made. She tells him that he is good, asks him to let her help him. He tells her
that he thought he could change, but a few days ago he killed again. He says he
can’t change. She tells him she doesn’t want to lose him again. He tells her
that this time he has to leave her, to follow his destiny - and his destiny is
Lucia.

USA, 10/10/03 - Gonzalo shows Graciela into her new office. She tells him that she talked with Carmen, explained that she and Gonzalo are just friends again. Graciela tells him it was important to regain her friendship with Carmen. Graciela tells him that she talked on the phone with her internet friend, thinks they are going to meet. She gives him a kiss. They wish each other luck.
Laura tells Lucia she doesn’t know how to tell her. Lucia asks if she has seen him, seen Javier. Laura can’t believe she knew and didn’t say anything, then explains that Javier is Fernando, her chauffeur. Laura wonders how she could have failed to realize the truth. She says there wasn’t hatred but only a coldness. Laura tells Lucia that Javier did it to find out why she abandoned him, and he learned that he suffered all he had suffered because of her selfishness. Laura says she asked his forgiveness, but there is nothing she can do to pay for what she did. Laura says she is guilty for all the crimes he committed. Lucia says that isn’t true, that Javier became responsible for his acts when he became a man. Lucia tries to comfort her.
Gonzalo visits Carmen, finds her blowing up balloons for Quique’s party. Gonzalo asks if he can help. Carmen says yes, tells him that Quique would like him to come to the party. Gonzalo says he will, also says that he came for the papers to the house to put them in the name of his grandson. He asks again if she will stay in the house. She asks if he is sure, if he married again, he might want the house. Then she apologizes, asks about where he will be going. He says Baja California, among other places. He tells her that Maria is staying in Mexico, is going to wait for Sergio. She asks if that means he is going alone, then apologizes. She invites him to stay for dinner.
Enrique, Raquel, Francisco, Manuel and Lucia have a small going-away party for Raquel. Quique gives a little speech, doesn’t want them to leave.
Javier talks again with Laura. He tells her that she came to Mexico to get forgiveness from her son. He tells her that she has it. He tells her that she is more than a woman who abandoned her child, as he is more than a killer. He tells her that he doesn’t want her to bear the guilt. She tells him she doesn’t want to be separated from him again, wants to give him her unconditional love. She tells him there is little difference between a lack of hate and indifference. He tells her he doesn’t know exactly what he feels, thinks it might be love. He realizes now that she is just a woman who made a mistake, who never stopped thinking about him. He tells her that she has to leave, to return to her life, without guilt, with just the memory of her friend Fernando. She tells him she wants to stay, recover the lost years. He tells her that they have something, but not “mother and hijo”. He met a Laura different than the one he would have known before; she met a Fernando, a man who wasn’t a thief, a man only she and Lucia know. They embrace. She tells him that she loves him. He kisses her on the forehead, says “adios, mama”.
In jail, Mariano and Chente talk, go over their plans for escaping with Camilo.
Raquela thanks Lucia for all her help, tells her to forget Javier who is dead, take the happiness that Manuel offers. Then Enrique says it is time to leave.
At dinner, Gonzalo suggests a delicious revenge against Salgado. Then Carmen talks about Quique’s advice to her, that she should make decisions thinking solely about herself. Gonzalo tells her that he loves her, didn’t want to leave without saying so. He takes her hand. She tells him that she loves him with all her heart, puts her arms around him. Then he says goodnight.
Lucia hears a knock, finds a flower and note on the door: this is the first. She sees Javier across the street. She tells him that she won’t let him play this game with her, tells him that she is going to marry Manuel in four days. He tells her that is the game, marrying a man she doesn’t love. She tells him that marrying him was the worst mistake of her life. He asks her why, because he’s a monster? He talks of their love, almost kisses her. She begs him to leave. He gets in the taxi and goes. She crushes the flower.
Enrique, Francisco and Quique say goodbye to Raquel and Tonito at the bus station. Raquel tells Enrique she left her mother to find her own life, her own happiness - all she did was make mistakes. Enrique says he is sorry that he was one of them. .They all hug. Quique and Raquel get on the bus.

a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Todo estaba listo
para el motín en la cárcel. Camilo previene a Sergio que se esconda o se vaya a
la enfermería para que no lo involucren, ya que está a punto de quedar libre y,
verlo relacionado con eso, podría perjudicarlo. Sergio trata de persuadir a su amigo que no se una a Mariano,
pero no lo logra, ya que para el muchacho su prioridad es salir de la cárcel a
como dé lugar y ayudar a Marlene, quien al verse sola, se debilita su fuerza de
voluntad para no caer de nuevo en la droga.
Al llegar la noche, con la ayuda de algunos guardias de seguridad,
comenzaron a circular las armas entre los presos y de pronto todo aquello era
un caos. El director del reclusorio, que antes era incondicional de Mariano,
ahora era su enemigo por no apoyarlo en su plan. Para cuando la noticia estuvo en todos los medios de
comunicación, ya había varios muertos, muchos heridos, entre ellos Camilo y,
por supuesto, Mariano y “El Niño” libres en la calle, sin que nadie ni nada los
detuviera. La participación de Sergio
fue mínima, pero siempre por el lado bueno, ya que llevó a su amigo a que le
dieran atención médica, gracias a que el director del penal ayudó como
agradecimiento a Sergio, quien le salvó la vida. Poco después Sergio se comunica con María para decirle que estaba
bien, que no se preocupara. También en casa de Carmen, que en ese momento celebraban
el cumpleaños de Quique, cuando Enrique y Gonzalo lo supieron se pusieron muy
nerviosos aunque trataban de actuar normalmente para que Carmen no
sospechara. Inmediatamente, Manuel puso
vigilancia en casa de Lucía, porque estaba seguro que Mariano se acercaría por
ahí para cumplir su venganza contra Javier, porque ya todos sabían que estaba
vivo. El primer paso para llegar a
Lucía, fue que Mariano secuestró a Marisol y su hija y más tarde Esther sería
usada para secuestrar a Quique, quien en su mente aún de niño ya comprendía que
si Mariano estaba involucrado, la cosa era muy seria. En cuando pudieron, María y Gonzalo visitan a Sergio para
asegurarse que todo estaba bien con él y también para Gonzalo despedirse y
encargarle que cuidara mucho de María y el bebé, pues él pronto comenzaría a
trasladarse a otra ciudad por su trabajo.
Para esto, antes de que Mariano secuestrara a Esther, Alvaro le había
declarado su amor a la mujer. Esther jamás pensó que esa amistad de tantos años
llegaría a ese punto, además de que ella creyó que sentirse amada era parte del
pasado. Marlene en tanto, no soporta
ver a Camilo en ese estado y sólo permanece con él unos minutos. Ella le dice
que debe recuperarse, porque lo necesita a su lado, además de amarlo tanto. Camilo apenas logra escucharla, ya que su situación
es muy delicada y los médicos no dan muchas esperanzas de que se salve. Marlene
se refugia otra vez en la droga y así la encuentra María cuando va a verla a su
departamento. Marlene la corre y le
dice que no la necesita, que no quiere verla nunca más. María entiende que la
muchacha es débil y por eso reacciona de esa manera, lo cual no la sorprende y
prefiere por ahora dejarla sola.

octubre Despiden a Raquel y
a Toñito en la terminal de autobuses pues se va a Chihuahua con sus padres,
triste y llorando se despide de todos. En la cárcel Mariano le dice a Camilo
que sabe todo de Marlene, dónde vive, qué hace y si él dice algo Marlene la
pagará. Camilo le pide que confíe en él, Mariano le dice que al otro día es la
fuga. Carmen, Enrique y Lucía le cantan las mañanitas a Quique por ser su
cumpleaños y recibe una llama de Sergio de la cárcel para felicitarlo y Quique
le pide ir a verlo a la cárcel, Sergio acepta y Enrique lo lleva. Manuel
consigue datos de donde localizar a Fernando (Javier) Carmen le recuerda a
Adolfo lo que le dijo de que está enamorada de Gonzalo. Camilo le avisa a
Sergio del motín que están preparando y le explica que puede haber muertos en
la cárcel y le pide que se esconda. Sergio recibe la visita de Enrique y Quique
y les pide que se vayan pronto y no les puede explicar qué es lo que está
pasando. Dejando muy decepcionado a Quique, quien piensa que hizo algo para
molestarlo. En su fiesta Enrique habla con él y le explica que la vida de
Sergio es muy difícil y tienen que entenderlo. Mariano y su gente preparan todo
para la fuga y sacan muchas armas que tienen escondidas. Sergio le dice a
Camilo que no va a permitir que se vaya antes de que él salga. Camilo lo golpea
y lo amarra. Martes 14 de octubre
Mariano y su gente siguen preparando la fuga y Raymundo le dice que no
va a resultar. Sergio le pide a Camilo que se quede y Camilo se niega y
empiezan a pelear. Camilo lo amarra. Manuel llega al lugar donde vive Javier y
lo ve cuando llega, pero no se da cuenta que Javier ya lo vio y se escapa.
Manuel lo persigue en su automóvil. Carmen le pregunta a Gonzalo si se va a
Baja California con Mercedes y él le dice que no, que si hubo algo con ella,
pero después de que se separaron ellos. En el Reclusorio empieza el motín y
Camilo le ruega a Sergio que no se mueva de donde está. Melquíades y Camilo
entran a la oficina del director y lo amarran junto con un guardia en ese
momento llega Mariano y le dice que ahora manda él y le pide a Camilo que se
quede a cuidarlo. Manuel persigue a Javier, pero éste logra escaparse. Manuel
recibe una llamada para avisarle del motín y se comunica con Gonzalo para
decirle lo que pasa y le pide que no le diga nada ni a Lucía ni a Carmen.
Carmen sigue en el festejo del cumpleaños de Quique y Gonzalo le cuenta a
Enrique lo que pasa y le dice que no pueden hacer nada sólo esperar a que
Manuel les avise qué sucede en el Reclusorio. Mariano intenta dispararle a
Sergio y se mete Camilo y lo hieren. El Director les pide a los guardias que no
los dejen escapar y que lleven a Camilo rápido a la enfermería. Miércoles 15 de octubre Manuel llega al Reclusorio y empieza a
organizar todo para atrapar a Mariano. Enrique nervioso ve las noticias en la
televisión y Gonzalo le dice que se calme que Carmen puede darse cuenta y lo
mejor es esperar a que Manuel les avise cómo están las cosas. Sergio lleva a
Camilo a la enfermería porque está muy grave. Mariano y su gente se dan cuenta
que están rodeados y no tienen balas y se rinden. Un helicóptero llega con
"policías" y se llevan a Mariano y a Chente con golpes, ya volando le
dicen a Mariano que vienen de parte del Señor y Mariano se pone feliz y se ríe.
Manuel se decepciona al darse cuenta que se llevaron a Mariano y otra vez lo
perdió. Carmen se molesta al enterarse por Adolfo lo que está pasando en el
Reclusorio y le reclama a Enrique y a Gonzalo que no le dijeran nada, en ese
momento llama Manuel para informarles que ya está todo controlado y que Sergio
está bien y que Camilo fue herido y está muy grave. Javier se entera que
Mariano se escapó y sale a buscar a Lucía. Sergio llama a María para calmarla y
decirle que está bien y que la ama y la necesita. Camilo es trasladado a un
hospital y lo tienen que operar. Mas tarde llega Marlene y Carmen le informa lo
que pasó. Marlene entra triste a ver a Camilo y le dice que es lo mejor que le
ha pasado en su vida y que lo ama. Jueves
16 de octubre Marlene visita a
Camilo en el hospital, le dice lo ama. Carmen trata de consolar a Marlene pues
Camilo está grave. Gonzalo se despide de Sergio, le pide cuide y haga feliz a
María y a su bebé. Carmen y Enrique dan las gracias a Camilo por salvarle la
vida a Sergio. Lucía asegura a Sergio la policía la está cuidando. Álvaro pide
a Esther una oportunidad para conquistarla, ella le pide tiempo. Manuel revisa
el cuarto de Javier en la pensión. Mariano toma de rehenes a Marisol y Anita,
exige a Esther saque a Quique para llevarlo con él. Lucía acepta salga Quique
con Esther. Sergio obtiene permiso para ver a Camilo, éste le pide cuide a
Marlene. María busca a Marlene pero ésta le grita la deje sola. Mariano llama a
Lucía para avisarle tiene a Quique. Lucía sale a su encuentro. Viernes 17 de octubre Enrique y Carmen se enteran que Quique salió
con Esther. Esther llega a avisarles que Mariano se llevó a Quique
amenazándolas con matarlas. Lucía llega al lugar que indicó Mariano, le ruega
deje ir a Quique pero no acepta. Javier escucha las amenazas de Mariano a
Lucía. Enrique avisa a Manuel lo sucedido a Quique. Javier pide ayuda a Manuel
para salvar a Lucía y Quique. Gonzalo acompaña a Carmen en la espera. Javier y
Manuel acuerdan una tregua para rescatar a Lucía. Mariano platica a Lucía lo
que hizo Javier para que asesinara a Helena que era inocente. Javier habla con
Mariano y Manuel rescata a Quique. Mariano enloquecido cree ver a Helena al
llegar la policía, Manuel no puede impedir disparen y Mariano muere. Javier
logra escapar.
10/13/03 - The guards take Camilo to see Mariano who asks him if, the situations being reversed, he would trust him. Camilo admits that he wouldn’t Nevertheless, Mariano agrees to take him on th escape.
10/14/03 - Mariano, Chente and another prisoner visit the old prisoner, to say goodbye? Some of the guards help give the prisoners guns. Camilo warns Sergio to stay hidden. Sergio tries to convince Camilo not to do it. Camilo knocks Sergio out then, with the help of another prisoner, ties him up with sheets.
Carmen and Alvaro cook for Quique’s party. Lucia asks Carmen if she can have the party in her house, even though she doesn’t like Manuel. Carmen tells her she doesn’t dislike Manuel, but he is a cop, could be killed at any time. Carmen also wonders why she had to select a man so tied to her past, asks why she is in such a hurry to marry, tells her that she needs to spend some time alone, to know herself, Lucia says she isn’t going to change her mind. Carmen asks her what she expects; “your support”. Carmen tells her that she has it. A bit later, Gonzalo arrives. He and Carmen talk. She asks him if he is going to take Meche with him, then apologizes. He tells her no, insists on explaining. He tells her that, and he emphasizes this, after they separated there was something between him and Meche. But it was a mistake and it is over, she’s returned to Veracruz. She apologizes again for asking, invites him again to stay. In the kitchen, Ester, Lucia, Alvaro all tell Carmen she should ask Gonzalo to stay or to go with him. Carmen disagrees, says she owes him the same freedom that he gave her. Gonzalo thanks Carmn; they say goodbye. Manuel goes to the house where Javier is living. But Manuel is just a little bit too late; Javier manages to escape in his taxi.
Guards enter the cellblock. One questions several of the prisoners, asks what is goin on. He is betrayed, caught, killed? Camilo tells Sergio to stay quiet and hidden. The armed prisoners run out. The old man shakes hands with Mariano but stays behind.
Mariano has the director tied up, then tells Camilo he has to stay behind. The director is their life-insurance policy. A battle begins.
Manuel follows Javier’s taxi, calls for a backup. Javier escapes into some kind of outdoor marketplace; Manuel follows. Javier and Manuel point guns at each other, then Javier runs off and, for some reason, Manuel doesn’t follow. Then they get a call to go to the prison.
Manuel calls Gonzalo, tells him about the riot in the prison. Manuel tells him not to say anything to Carmen or Lucia. Gonzalo tells Enrique, but tells him, too, not to say anything. [really dumb all around. Manuel should just have kept quiet]
In the jail, the Director tells Camilo he won’t be able to escape. Camilo tells him he has no reason to stay, will kill if he has to. Sergio comes into the cell, grabs Camilo, tells him to give it up, says there are dead men outside. He starts to release the director, is stopped. Camilo tells him, for the last time, to leave and hide. Camilo says he has to leave, has to get Marlen, nothing will stop him. Sergio tells him he has really gone crazy now, refuses to be part of it, walks out. Sergio warns Mariano not to touch Lucia. Mariano tells him not to worry, he has other things to attend to. Mariano tells the prisoners holding Sergio to let him go. Sergio walks toward Mariano who pulls a gun on him; Camilo runs in front and takes the bullet. The director appears, tells Mariano to give himself up. Sergio and a guard carry out the wounded Camilo.
10/15/03 - Sergio and some police carry Camilo out. Manuel and cops go into the jail. The director has a weapon, too. Eventually, Mariano gives up. He is captured, but on the helicopter is given his own key. Manuel goes to Carmen’s house, gives her and the family the news. She is furious that Gonzalo and Enrique knew but said nothing, doesn’t like being treated like a child. In the jail, Sergio goes through the cell looking for the wounded. Finally, Sergio calls Maria and she is relieved to know he is fine. He tells her that Camilo is in bad shape. Manuel tells Lucia that Mariano escaped, Sergio is ok.
When Mariano and Chente are safe, Mariano tells Chente he is free to go, has all the money he needs. Chente says goodbye, warns him not to fool with Lucia.
In the hospital, Manuel tells Carmen and Enrique that Camilo is seriously wounded, saved Sergio’s life. Marlen visits Camilo in intensive care, tells him that she misses him, kisses him. She tells him she is clean.

10/16/03 - Marlen tells Camilo that without hiim she won’t be able to stay clean.
Sergio tells the jail director that Camilo wasn’t part of the escape plan.
Gonzalo and Maria visit Sergio. Gonzalo tells Sergio that he will be going to Mexico, asks him to be responsible.
Carmen and Enrique visit Camilo. Carmen thanks him for saving Sergio’s life, tells him that she loves him.
Sergio calls Lucia, tells her he wants to get out of jail asap, has been on the best of behavior.
Alvaro and Ester have lunch together. He comments that, in spite of all the time they have worked together, they’ve never really gotten to know each other. He confesses that he likes her, goes on to say that he wants her to be the mother of his children, the aunt to his sobrinos, etc. He asks her to say something. She says she’s thought her romantic life was over, hadn’t ever thought of him as more than a friend. He asks for a chance. After lunch, he gives her a very warm kiss goodbye. But when she gets in her car, she finds Mariano in the back seat with a gun and Marisol’s child. He forces Ester to call Lucia to invite Quique to the fair.
Manuel and another man search the room where Javier was staying. They can’t find anything incriminating; Manuel finds a picture and a flower.
Sergio visits Camilo in the hospital, sneaks him a cigarette.
Maria visits Marlen, finds her snorting. Marlen tells her that the only person who could help her is dying. Maria tries to stop her, reminds her that Camilo is dying for her sake, accuses her of self-pity. Marlen tells her to leave.
Once Mariano has Quique, he calls Lucia and lets Quique talk for a minute. He arranges for a meeting. She, of course, doesn’t tell anybody.

10/17/03 - [sound quality of this episode very bad; almost impossible to hear the dialogue] Javier and Chente, who have been watching Lucia’s house, follow her when she gets in a taxi. She gets out in an open field near a small structure of some sort. Inside, Mariano has Quique tied up, but has told him nothing will happen to him. He gags Quique just before Lucia arrives. When she comes, he has her put a blindfold on Quique.
Back at the house, Carmen and Enrique learn from the housekeeper that Quique went with Ester, then Lucia left but said nothing. Moments later, Ester, Marisol and her child enter the house, distraught, frightened and upset, tell Carmen and Enrique what happened. They call Manuel who gathers a squad of detectives and tells them to do something.
Javier watches Mariano as he grabs Lucia, calls out to Javier to show himself (he knows Javier must be near Lucia or on his way). Mariano calls Manuel, tells him where they are, how to get there. Inside, Mariano tells Lucia how Javier tricked him into killing his wife, gives her the tape recording to play. She begs him to let Quique go, he is innocent. Mariano says that Helena was innocent.
Manuel calls Enrique, tells him that Mariano has Lucia, too, to stay home and not do anything. Enrique tells the others, who now include Gonzalo. Carmen goes into Gonzalo’s arms.
Manuel comes on the scene, alone, for a moment faces Javier with his gun. But they have to cooperate, make plans. Javier shows himself while Manuel gets into the structure, unties Quique, tells him to run off. Then he sneaks up behind Mariano. Javier tells Mariano to let Lucia go, this is between the two of them. But Mariano wants Javier to suffer, can’t seem to decide which would hurt more. When Javier sees Manuel coming up behind Mariano, he drops his gun, tells Mariano to shoot him. Manuel, instead of shotting Mariano, tackles him from behind. Lucia runs into Javier’s arms, he takes her back to the building, then returns. Manuel seems to have been knocked out by Mariano who faces Javier, demands to know why he did it. [I couldn’t understand Javier’s answer]. Then lots of police cars arrive as Mariano sees the image of Helena. Javier takes advantage of the situation to slip away; Manuel is still on the ground, doesn’t seem to have seen Javier go. Mariano holds his machine gun high; all at once and for no apparent reason, the police open fire and kill Mariano. Manuel looks for Javier, tells his men to go after him, kneels by the dead body of Mariano.

10/26/03 [resumen de 10/20-24/03]: Sólo telenovelas Laura M. López Domingo, 26 de octubre de 2003 TODO POR AMOR KAZA,
Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. La
libertad bajo fianza fue negada a Sergio supuestamente porque según el juez las
pruebas que presentaron no fueron suficientes. Todos
estaban seguros que Sergio quedaría libre inmediatamente, incluso el mismo
abogado, ya que contaban con el testimonio firmado por Camilo donde afirmaba
que Sergio no tuvo nada que ver en el robo ni en los secuestros. Además
la secretaria y el guardia de seguridad y otros que estaban en la oficina ese
día, también atestiguaron a favor de Sergio. Alfonso
le dice a Carmen que va a trabajar inmediatamente en la apelación y que pedirá
una audiencia personal con el mismo juez para presentarle pruebas que no
pudieron ser incluidas en la defensa. Sergio, con
lágrimas en los ojos confiesa que él trató de llevar buen comportamiento dentro
de la cárcel para evitarse problemas que le pudieran afectar su salida, sin
embargo aparentemente de nada sirvió. Carmen le dice
que no se dé por vencido y que ellos seguirán luchando para sacarlo de ese
lugar y pueda estar al lado de María para cuando su hijo nazca. Pero el
parto se le adelantó a la muchacha, quizás por el nerviosismo que vivió ese
día. María tuvo que ser llevada al hospital puesto que ya casi estaba a punto
de dar a luz. Esa noche fue eterna para Sergio, quien
siempre creyó que estaría al lado de María cuando ese momento llegara. El bebé
nació sin ningún problema y Gonzalo era el abuelo más feliz de la vida. Quizás
nunca antes se había alegrado tanto de saber manejar una cámara fotográfica,
porque ese día disfrutó tomando retratos de su nieto y María. Carmen
y Enrique tampoco podían esconder su alegría y la orgullosa abuela comenta que
el bebé era igualito a Sergio cuando éste nació. Al día
siguiente, Gonzalo, quien tuvo que retrasar su salida a Baja California, le
lleva las fotos a Sergio quien se excusa para retirarse y disfrutar viéndolas
en su intimidad. Por otro lado, ese mismo día por la
tarde se casaban Lucía y Manuel. Para todos fue una sorpresa que fuera todo tan
rápido, pero respetaban la decisión de los muchachos. Sin embargo al llegar
Carmen a su casa descubrió el verdadero motivo. Javier
estaba a punto de tocar la puerta cuando llegó Carmen. Al principio ella se
sorprendió de verlo ahí, si supuestamente había muerto en esa explosión. Pero
después cuando Javier le explicó todo, Carmen se puso furiosa y lo corrió no
sin antes reclamarle que por su culpa toda su familia estaba sufriendo. Camilo
por su parte se recupera lentamente y hasta camina un poco por los pasillos del
hospital. Sergio le había prometido ir a visitarlo tan pronto saliera de la
cárcel, pero Enrique fue quien le dio las malas noticias. Con la
muerte de Mariano todo parecía que estaba volviendo a la tranquilidad, ya Lucía
no tenía porqué preocuparse. Tal vez Raquel regresaría a México y pudiera
formar una familia con Enrique y el pequeño Toñito.

Lucía. El doctor felicita a Camilo por su recuperación, le anuncia lo van a dar

USA, 10/20/03 - In Carmen’s house, she and Enrique, separately, talk with Quique. In the living room, Carmen thanks Gonzalo, tells him that, even with Mariano dead, she doesn’t feel safe. Gonzalo tells Lucia that he is happy she is safe. He and Frnacisco start to leave. Carmen asks him not to forget to call before he goes away.
Outside, Manuel tells Lucia that Javier had been following them, called and told him where they were. He tells her that Javier killed Onésimo. Then he asks her why she didn’t tell him that he was alive. She says she was afraid, afraid of her feelings for him, afraid he would hurt Manuel. Manuel tells her that he has to find Javier, has to put him in jail. He says he understands her love for Javier because he knows how he loves her. Lucia kisses Manuel several times, says she loves him. Lucia goes inside, talks with her mother, says that she felt odd talking with Manuel, as if she were watching herself [I think]. Lucia says goodnight to her and Enrique.
Gonzalo talks to Maria about how frightened he was for Lucia and Quique. Maria tells him it is over, to stop reliving it, everything will be fine. He admits that he doesn’t want to leave Carmen, would like to be indispensable to her. But both played the “self-sufficient”. Maria tells him to go, be happy, forget Carmen, her, her baby.
Enrique visits Camilo in the hospital. Camilo says he hurts all over, asks a favor. Camilo thinks he is talking to the doctor, says he didn’t shoot Sergio’s father to kill him, shot to save his life because Mariano wanted him dead. Camilo says wounding him was the only way to save his life, to wound him. Enrique tells him not to worry, sits down near the bed as Camilo repeats again that he didn’t shoot to kill.
Javier tells Chente how Mariano’s eyes looked, says he was crazy. But he did feel bad for Helena, Mariano loved her as he loves Lucia. He laughs at how he and Manuel became allies. Chente tells Javier that Lucia won’t go back to him. He says if she isn’t his, she won’t be Manuel’s either.
In bed that night, Manuel tells Lucia he thought his love would be enough for them both.
In the prison, Sergio talks with the anciano. He tells Sergio what he was like when he first went to prison: strong, good-looking, able to kill without a conscience. When he looks in the mirror, he thinks he is seeing a ghost, in his mind he hasn’t changed. He thinks it is better for him to stay in jail, with his memories.
Raúl tells Manuel that there are men around his house and around Lucia’s. Manuel wants men following Lucia every moment with orders to tell him if Javier is sighted - but not to try to capture him.
Lucida goes to a building, takes an elevator up to the roof, walks there, finds Javier waiting for her. She tells him to leave, for the love they once had. She tells him to leave before Manuel finds him. He asks her to go with him. She says she can’t. He tells her to go, tell Manuel to come and kill him. She doesn’t understand. He tells her that he loves her, that neither is anything without the other. He asks her why she came up here, reminds her of their first kiss on this spot. He says she wanted to see him. She says she came to beg him to leave, for the love they had. He tells her not to talk of the past. Their love is part of the present. She asks him what he wants from her. He asks her to listen to her heart. He asks for the chance to prove to her that their love, their passion still exists. He asks her to kiss him, promises to leave if she asks him to afterwards. He kisses her. She responds.

USA, 10/21/03 - Javier and Lucia kiss and kiss and kiss on top of the building. She breaks away, says goodbye, tells her this time there will be a different ending. She tells him she will never forget him but can’t live with him again. He tries to change her mind, but she says goodbye and walks away. He screams her name out repeatedly.
Adolfo visits Carmen, says there’s another hearing for Sergio today, has high hopes. Carmen goes to the hospital, tells Camilo. Marlen arrives as Carmen is about to leave. Carmen talks to the doctor as she leaves. He tells her that Camilo needs blood. Carmen is O positive so she is able to give blood.
Adolfo talks with Sergio in the jail, tells him how to handle the judge.
Gonzalo tells Maria he has decided not to go to the hearing, thinks it best to start putting a distance between him and Carmen’s family. He is almost finished packing, tells her that Carmen and then Sergio will take care of her.
Lucia sees some students walking in the park, recalls first seeing Javier.
Manuel walks the street, asking questions.
Gonzalo visits with Quique. Carmen tells him she will miss him. They hug goodbye. Again, both express their love for each other.
Lucia talks with her aunt Esther, says she realizes now that she can’t expect to love Manuel the same way she loved Javier.
Sergio calls Marlen in the hospital. She gives the phone to Camilo. Sergio tells him that he is going to his hearing, tries to be very upbeat, reminds Camilo that he is going to be the padrino of his child. Camilo says that he wasn’t even baptized.
Javier tells Nino that this time, although Lucia wanted him as much as ever, when she said no, she meant it. He could feel it. He tells Niño he is a criminal because he has the talent for it. He thinks that Lucia changed not because of the deaths but because he lied about his death. He says she is a better person now, somebody who is too good for him.
Lucia goes to the jail, finds Gonzalo waiting outside. He doesn’t want to go in. Adolfo comes out, tells them he couldn’t get bail/parole? for Sergio. Maria talks with Sergio, cries. Carmen tells him that this isn’t final. Adolfo will fight. Maria has a strong contraction. They take her outside.

10/23/03 - Carmen, Gonzalo, etc. visit Maria and her newborn.
In jail, Sergio asks the director why he didn’t get conditional liberty. The director can’t say, but does tell him that he’s become a father. Maria is on the phone, says that the baby is fine, too young to say if he likes like him. Enrique gets on the phone, tells Sergio to not be depressed.
Manuel asks Lucia if she still wants to get married right away, reminds her that Javier is still alive. Lucia tells him that she is a widow, has the death certificate. He tells her that he has to capture Javier, may have to kill him. She tells him she wants to marry him.
In the hospital, Enrique talks with Sergio, who is walking in the hall, thanks him for being a good shot.
Manuel finds a note for Lucia, guesses it is from Javier.
Carmen runs into Javier in front of her house. He explains that he wasn’t in the cabana, tells Carmen that Lucia can’t marry Manuel, doesn’t love him. And she isn’t a widow. Carmen lays into him, about the lies he told, the harm he did to Lucia, the pain Lucia still feels. She tells him that Lucia is a widow, that he is dead to her, tells him to go away, that she will kill him if she ever sees him again.

10/24/03 - Manuel and Lucia talk briefly. Then Carmen and Quique arrive, tells them that Gonzalo gave her pictures of the baby. Manuel notices she is upset but she makes excuses. Manuel and Lucia go for tea. Carmen sends Quique to get something. The phone rings; Carmen picks it up, fearfully. It is Sergio. She tells him that Javier is alive. She realizes that Sergio knew; he admits it. Carmen tells him what Javier says, doesn’t know if she should tell Lucia. Lucia enters the room; Carmen gives the phone to her. Sergio congratulates her on her wedding.
Adolfo talks with maria and Gonzalo, assures them that there is still hope. Gonzalo becomes obviously jealous when Adolfo holds the baby. Gonzalo asks Adolfo if he has children. He says that he has two, in the U.S. with his wife. They are divorced. Then Adolfo asks him not to use “usted”. Alone with him in the hospital hall, Adolfo asks him how long he will be able to stay with Maria, Carmen told him that he is traveling. Gonzalo says he has postponed his trip for a few days. Adolfo says that is good. Then Regina arrives, greets the two.
Alone with Enrique, Carmen tells him about Javier, says that Sergio knew. She doesn’t know what to do. Enrique tells her they’ll tell Manuel, after the wedding. Alone with Lucia, Manuel tells her that he is sure that Javier is waiting, watching (and he is). He asks her if she is sure about marrying him, telling a judge she wants to be his wife. She asks if he is sure. They get up and walk out with the rest of the family. They get into cars; Enrique stays behind, looks, sees Javier and gets in front of his car. Javier pulls out a gun, Enrique tells him to shoot him. Javier puts away the gun. Enrique says he won’t let him go after Lucia. Javier calls Enrique a coward. Javier drives off, Enrique finally arrives at the city hall. The family goes in, but Manuel holds Lucia back, tells her he isn’t going to do it, doesn’t want to marry her under these circumstances, because Javier is around or might be around. He says he wants them to marry for love and only for love. She tells him she loves him, he says the same. They hug.
Marlen visits Camilo in the hospital.
Regina and Gonzalo have a drink. He talks about Adolfo. She says he is jealous. He says he just doesn’t like the fact that he knows about what is going on between him and Carmen. Regina says it is only natural that she would look for somebody else. Then Regina confesses that she is attracted to Enrique, gets drunk, tells Gonzalo that she is emancipated and very happy. He asks her if that is true.
Javier tells Niño they didn’t get married. He still has a chance, asks Niño to get him two tickets and a passport.
Manuel tells
Lucia that he is glad her family knows the truth. He also tells her that he has
to capture Javier, won’t kill him if he doesn’t have to. Manuel tells her that
if she is going to be with him, it is going to be for their entire lives and he
wants her to be happy. She tells him that she couldn’t be happy with Javier. They kiss.
ULTIMA SEMANA

Marlene queda deshecha. En el funeral, María dice a su padre que teme por la

solo está con él porque resulta ser un comodín en la vida de ella. La policía
trata de rastrear la llamada de Javi.
Diario de Yucatan, 1/7/01: Camilo muere y
Marlene queda desecha por la pena. En el funeral, María le dice a su padre que
teme por la vida de Sergio, ya que podría morir como Camilo. Javi llama por teléfono a Lucía; ella le pide
que no se lastime a sí mismo, ya que no piensa volver con él. En ese momento
llega Manuel y le arma una escena de celos.
Lucía confiesa a Manuel que habló con Javi, pero que eso no significa
que aún lo ame. Marlene decide irse de la ciudad para siempre; Carmen le ofrece
apoyo económico pero ella no acepta.
Carmen está feliz pues se entera que Alvaro y Ester se van a casar, que
Regina anda con el ingeniero García y que su hijo Francisco ya es novio de
Marisol, pero se pone melancólica. Javi
vuelve a llamar a Manuel y él le dice que le tiene una sopresa. Esta vez los
policías localizan dónde se esconde, a través de la llamada, y salen por él. El
semblante seguro de Javi cambia por un gesto de dolor y desesperación al
sentirse perdido.—
La Vanguardia, 1/08/01:El viernes termina
“Todo por Amor”, una historia que cautivó a los televidentes desde sus primeros
capítulos por mostrar cómo vivía una familia de clase media, encabezada por
Carmen (Angélica Aragón) y Enrique (Alvaro Guerrero). Por lo anterior, el
productor Epigmenio Ibarra tomó la decisión de alargarla a medio año, dando
como resultado que fuera considerada la mejor telenovela de 2000. Ahora sólo
falta ver si los protagonistas lograrán ser felices, pues Carmen y Gonzalo
(Fernando Luján) están a punto de separarse, mientras que Lucía (Ana de la
Reguera) y Manuel intentan estar juntos, a pesar de la sombra de “El Javi”
(Plutarco Haza), quien no descansará hasta separarlos. El elenco estuvo
integrado por: Angélica Aragón, Fernando Luján, Plutarco Haza, Ana de la
Reguera, Cecilia Suárez, Roberto Sosa, Luis Felipe Tovar y Alvaro Guerrero, por
mencionar a algunos, quienes durante más de un año dieron todo por amor para
crear una telenovela de primer nivel. Camilo muere y Marlene queda deshecha.
En el funeral, María dice a su padre que teme por la vida de Sergio. Javi llama
por teléfono a Lucía, ella le pide que no se lastime a sí mismo, ya que no

ella le pide que no se lastime a sí mismo, ya que no piensa volver con él. En
eso, llega Manuel y le arma una escena de celos. Lucía le confiesa a Manuel que
estaba hablando con Javi pero que eso no significa que aún lo ame. Marlene
decide irse de la ciudad para siempre, Carmen le ofrece apoyo económico pero
ella no lo acepta. Carmen se encuentra feliz pues se entera de que Álvaro y
Esther se van a casar, de que Regina anda con el ingeniero García y que su hijo
Francisco ya es novio de Marisol, pero se torna melancólica al darse cuenta de
que ella no participa de la felicidad de todos. Javi sigue molestando a Manuel
por teléfono diciéndole que Lucía lo sigue amando y que sólo está con él porque
resulta ser un comodín en la vida de ella. Mientras, la policía trata de
rastrear la llamada, pero Javi logra colgar en el momento preciso. Se abre un
nuevo juicio para Sergio quedando en esta ocasión libre. Mientras, Gonzalo va a
darle el pésame a Carmen y le cuenta que María está muy mal. Javi vuelve a llamar a Manuel y él le dice
que le tiene una sorpresa. Esta vez, los policías localizan dónde se esconde y
salen por él. Javi cambia su semblante de seguridad por el gesto de dolor y
desesperación al sentirse perdido. No
se pierda el desenlace de esta telenovela el próximo viernes 12 de enero, y a
partir de la próxima semana, "Amores, querer con alevosía" en el
mismo horario. "Todo por amor" se transmite de lunes a viernes a las
9:00 de la noche por Azteca 13.

M. López 02 de noviembre de 2003 TODO POR AMOR KAZA,
Canal 54, Los Angeles, lunes a viernes, 9:00 p.m. Alfonso
llega a casa de Carmen, donde están todos reunidos esperándolo y saber cuál fue
el veredicto final del juez. Todos, muy nerviosos, no se atreven a
preguntar al verlo entrar con una cara de tristeza. Alonso entonces sonríe y
les muestra el documento que le da la libertad de Sergio. Mientras
todos se preparaban para ir a esperar al muchacho fuera de la cárcel, Sergio se
despedía de sus pocos amigos que logró hacer en la cárcel y a quienes prometió
regresar a visitarlos. Sin embargo el más fiel de sus amigos,
casi su hermano, jamás lo volvería a ver... Camilo había sido dado de alta en
el hospital porque todo iba muy bien, incluso hasta había hecho planes para
tener un hijo con Marlene. Pero Camilo no logró sobrevivir a las
heridas que le hizo “El Chicarcas”, quien, protegido por otros presos, le clavó
un cuchillo varias veces en el estomago como venganza por haberlo acusado de
venderle droga a Marlene. Días antes, ahí mismo en la cárcel se
hizo una ceremonia para bautizar al hijo de Sergio y María y, en honor a
Camilo, le pusieron su nombre al bebé. Camilo estaba feliz de ser escogido como
el padrino. Y esa misma imagen de un Camilo
contento, Sergio la miraba caminando confundido entre la gente cuando Carmen
hizo una fiesta para darle la bienvenida. Sergio jamás se olvidaría de Camilo,
porque siempre estuvieron juntos en las buenas y en las malas... Por la
tarde, Gonzalo se despedía de Carmen para siempre, los papeles del divorcio
estaban a punto de salir y aparentemente todo había terminado entre ellos. Sin
embargo Gonzalo insistió una vez más con la esperanza de que Carmen cambiara de
opinión, mas no fue así. Aparentemente, Carmen seguía en un mundo del pasado,
donde no cabía felicidad para ella... Pero ahora se
le presentaba una nueva oportunidad y ojalá que esta vez sí reaccionara... Alonso,
desde el primer día que la vio, le dio a entender que lo había impactado con
esa mirada suya. Y ahora, al ver que ella estaba a punto
de ser libre de nuevo, insistió una vez más. Gonzalo se dio cuenta de esto y se
puso celoso y terminó aceptando su derrota. Enrique también le dijo a Carmen
que lamentaba su divorcio de Gonzalo. Ahora sólo
faltaba que Carmen despertara a la realidad y se diera cuenta que tiene la
felicidad casi en sus manos al lado de Alonso. Lucía,
por su parte, ve morir dos veces a Javier, pero en esta última sí lo confirmó. Ella
misma lo vio morir cuando cayó al vacío. Manuel acudió al llamado de Javier
para terminar el asunto que tenían pendiente... quién se quedaría con el amor
de Lucía. La muchacha estaba muy confundida, pero
el amor de Manuel le ayudaría salir adelante si Lucía se aferraba a él, porque
ahora ya no habría motivo alguno que les impidiera estar juntos y alcanzar la
felicidad por la que tanto lucharon.

Gonzalo molesto reclama a Carmen se abrace con Adolfo, éste trata de
intervenir. Los amigos de Carmen preparan una fiesta de bienvenida a Sergio. Gonzalo
avisa a María se va al día siguiente ya que Sergio está libre. El ingeniero
ofrece a Sergio trabaje en una obra. Sergio decidido a terminar de estudiar y
hacerse responsable de María y el bebé. Carmen platica a Esther de Adolfo y
piensa darse una oportunidad. El Niño urge a Javier a irse pues lo pueden
atrapar. Javier le asegura Lucía aceptó irse pero antes tiene que ver a Manuel.
Lucía se disgusta al ver llegar a Manuel. Adolfo propone a Carmen irse con el a
la playa, corresponde a los besos de Adolfo. Lucía busca a Manuel para
terminar. Javier cita a Manuel, Lucía trata de detenerlo. Manuel pelea con
Javier, éste se suicida frente a Lucía.
Jueves 30 de octubre
Lucía afectada por la muerte de Javier pide a Manuel la deje sola. Sergio
pregunta a María si pueden hacer algo para impedir la separación de Gonzalo y
Carmen. Carmen habla con Adolfo de lo sucedido entre ellos y la atracción que
sienten. Lucía habla con sus padres de la muerte de Javier, se siente liberada
y sin culpas. Gonzalo se despide de Sergio y María. Carmen va en busca de
Gonzalo al hotel pero se arrepiente. Manuel ya no encuentra a Lucía al llegar a
su departamento. Quique pregunta a Carmen que va a hacer de su vida ahora que
está sola. Gonzalo llega a hablar con Carmen antes de irse, rompe frente a ella
el boleto que tenía ya que esperaba se fuera con él. Carmen trata de explicarle
pero Gonzalo se niega a escuchar sus explicaciones. Viernes 31 de octubre
Carmen invita a Lucía a quemar todos los recuerdos que las lastiman. Sergio
platica a María lo rechazan al solicitar empleo cuando saben estuvo en la
cárcel. Se dan cuenta Sergio, Francisco y Lucía no está Carmen, Quique les
platica se fue. Carmen sorprende a Gonzalo con su llegada a Los Cabos pero
rechaza reanuden su relación. María habla claramente con Sergio, llegan a un
acuerdo. Enrique propone a Regina una relación seria y le confiesa la ama. Manuel
platica con Lucía de lo sucedido entre ellos, ella le dice ha decidido estar
sola para ordenar su vida. Gonzalo alcanza a Carmen para pedirle se quede a su
lado pues la ama.
USA, 10/27/03 - Carmen
talks with Gonzalo about Lucia and Javier. She doesn’t know what to do. He asks
her if she thinks that Lucia could be convinced to return to him. She doesn’t
know, worries that he might, somehow, force her to. Then Adolfo calls. Jealous, Gonzalo leaves.
Enrique and
Regina spend an evening together. Enrique is a bit embarrassed when Francisco
knocks on the door to say that a taxi is there. It is for Regina.
Lucia dreams
that Javier visits her in her bed and takes her away.
Javier wakes up
Manuel, points a gun at him.
Carmen
goes to the hospital and talks with Camilo. She tells him that there are ways
they can reduce his sentence. It wouldn’t be easy, but it is worth trying. She
tells him that what matters most is his good conduct. She convinces him to let
her and Adolfo fight for him. He doesn’t know how to thank her. She tells him
that it is she who should thank him, for saving her son twice.
Maria takes her
baby to visit Sergio. They talk about a name. He tells her he wants to call the
baby Camilo.
Adolfo visits
Carmen at her house, tells her about the next step, warns her that they might
fail. Then she asks him about Camilo, is there any way they could help him. He
tells her it would be very expensive but, at most, they couldn’t hope to reduce
the sentence by more than a couple of years. She tells him that Camilo had a
rough childhood, there must be something they can do to help.
Marlen visits
Camilo. He tells her that he misses his cell. The guards tells them they have
five minutes. She tells him there is a lot they can do in 5 minutes.
Graciela
visits Maria, talks with Gonzalo while he holds his grandson. He admits that he
is going to miss the baby.
In the
jail’s hospital ward, Sergio and Camilo talk, look at pictures of the baby.
Then Sergio tells him they they’ve decided to call the baby Camilo. He says he
shouldn’t, then gives Sergio a hug.
Lucia
meets Javier in a gallery. He tells her that he has passports and tickets for
them both. She tells him that she can’t go. He asks her why she wants to give
up their love. She tells him it was he who ruined the dream. He doesn’t believe
her. She reminds him that Javier exists.

- Lucia tells Javier that his hands are full of blood, his breath is the smell
of a woman who was strangled by Mariano because of him, she sees a man who
killed a policeman. She asks him if he believes she could love a killer. He
asks her to forgive him. She says she can’t. She puts her arms around him, begs
him to go away, for the love they had. She kisses him good-bye and leaves. He
cries.
Carmen tells
Adolfo that she is going to divorce Gonzalo but needs time to be alone. He
tells her that he loves her. She asks him why he entered her life now, when
things are so complicated. He kisses her.
Adolfo tells
Camilo that he’s gotten his sentence reduced to 15 years; in a couple of years,
with good conduct, they can get his sentence reduced some more. Camilo is very
upset, doesn’t think 15 years if good news - he can’t last that long.
Carmen visits
Gonzalo, tells him that she is going to help Camilo. He says it is fortunate
that she has found such a good lawyer, says he is doing it because he is in
love with her. Gonzalo makes it clear that he doesn’t like Adolfo, that he is
trying to seduce her. He tells her that he won’t permit it, he is still her
husband. He says his patience is at a limit. She is, rightly, furious and tells
him she wants to conclude the divorce proceedings asap. He tells her he is sure
Adolfo will handle it.
Manuel asks
Lucia where Javier is. She asks him why, she is sure now of her feelings, wants
to be with him.
Marisol tells
Francisco that they get along fine, but she isn’t sure she is the girl for him.
She has a daughter, who is the most important person in her life. He tells her
that he loves her.
Enrique and
Regina kiss.
Maria, her baby
and Marlen visit Sergio and Camilo. Maria wants Camilo to be the padrino. He
says no. But there’s another inmate who does the baptism.
Javier calls Lucia. Manuel listens in; the
phone’s been bugged. Javier tells her that it doesn’t matter how many crimes he
has committed, he is paying for them. He tells her he’s been thinking, is clear
now, understands everything, wants to tell her a story about the worst of
criminals and the woman most beautiful, most perfect in the world, who created
a heart where there was none. The call is traced. Lucia tells him that she has
to hang up. He tells her that she is free. He hangs up.
In the jail
yard, another inmate stabs Camilo three times for being several things [didn’t
understand]. The other men just stand around as Camilo staggers, calls for Sergio. El anciano gets the name of
the one who did it. Adolfo calls Carmen, says there was a fight in
jail, doesn’t know who was hurt. She goes to the prison. Sergio tells her that
Camilo is dying. He asks her if he is dying, wonders why now? He says he feels
alone. She tells him that he isn’t; two people who love him are with him. He
says it is nobody’s fault, says that he is cold. He tells them they are the
best he’s had in his life. Then he says he found love with Marlen. He says
thank you, mama...and dies.
Camilo is
buried, with family, Sergio, and Marlen at the grave site. Carmen hugs Marlen.
Marlen stands by the grave alone, says that his death has cured her. She swears
that the sacrifice he made for her will be worth it. He will be proud of her.
Gonzalo
apologizes to Carmen for his behavior, then asks if she has a relationship with
Adolfo. Carmen tells him no, but she can’t control what Adolfo feels. He
reminds her that she is still married to him. She says “not for long.” He tells her that he loves her. She asks
what he is saying, that they should live again in the house. He gets angry,
says not. She doesn’t understand his anger. He can’t believe that they are here
again, hurting each other again. He decides it is best to get on with the
divorce. She tells him “what he says”.
He reminds her that she was the first to ask for a divorce, will be “as
she says, as usual”.
Lucia tries to
comfort her mother. Carmen tells Lucia that Adolfo is interested in her.
Gonzalo tries to
get Maria to eat. She says she couldn’t sleep all night. Carmen calls Gonzalo,
asks for Maria. She tells him that Adolfo has arranged for the decision to be
made today re Sergio, doesn’t know if he wants to tell Maria now or later. She
tells him she would like him to be with her now. He tells her she will be with
Adolfo. She says “of course” and hangs up. Adolfo arrives with the news. Sergio
is free! The family hugs each other, and Carmen hugs Adolfo. He invites her to
go with him to the jail. Sergio says good-bye to the anciano, tells him he
won’t fail. The other inmates shout congratulations. Sergio walks out of the
jail with Francisco and a large crib. He greets his family. Carmen and Adolfo
hug each other repeatedly, while Gonzalo watches from his car. Maria and Sergio
hug.

USA, 10/29/03
- Gonzalo makes a jealous scene when he sees Carmen in Adolfo’s arms.
There is a big
homecoming party for Sergio. Ester and
Alvaro kiss in the kitchen. Regina arrives with Enrique. Carmen greets Adolfo.
Lucia is angry when Manuel arrives. Sergio gives a small speech, thanks
everybody, says he misses Marlen, Camilo, Gonzalo. The ghost of Camilo watches,
toasts Sergio. At the end of the party, Carmen says good-bye to Regina and
Enrique, looks at them with a smile. Adolfo tells Carmen she needs a vacation.
When she says she can’t afford it, he mentions that he has a vacation
home. Lucia tells Manuel to leave and
he does. Sergio tells Maria that he is going back to school.
Javier tells
Niño that he and Lucia will be leaving together, that she said no at first but
called to tell him that she would go to the end of the world with him.
When
Sergio and Maria return home with their baby, they find a very drunk Gonzalo.
He talks to Maria about her mother, says that her death left him with a “pure”
memory, wonders if they would still be together if she had lived. He wonders
what he did wrong (re Carmen).
Adolfo
tries to convince Carmen to go to his vacation home with him. She tells him she
likes his insistence, his flattery. He asks what she means. She says that she
is a married woman, with 5 children, the youngest upstairs. He tells her he is
prepared to wait for her, wants to make love with her. He kisses her. She
kisses him back, says she wishes she could respond to him, kisses him again.
Lucia visits Manuel. The
phone rings. It is Javier, holding a gun, says they’ll meet in half an hour,
just the two of them. Manuel puts on his gun and leaves. Lucia asks him if it
is Javier. He tells her he loves her, kisses her, then leaves. Lucia flags down
a cab to follow him. Manuel goes to meet Javier, alone. Javier is surprised he
is alone. The two men have guns, seem to be playing hide and seek. It’s a
vicious fight. Javier uses some kind of metal rod to beat up Manuel, then
leaves him, goes to the top of the building where the fight starts again. They
both fall. Then Javier picks up some kind of board, with fire at the end.
Manuel guesses that Javier called him to kill him. Manuel says he picked the
wrong man. Javier says that if Manuel kills him, Lucia will never forgive him.
Manuel moves back. Javier tells him that without Lucia, his life makes no
sense. Lucia arrives. Manuel holds her back as Javier falls over the edge,
backwards. [I’m not sure if it was or wasn’t on purpose] Javier dies.

USA, 10/30/03
- The ambulance and police arrive. Lucia cries. Manuel gives a report.
A drunk Gonzalo hears his grandchild
crying, asks Maria to let him hold the child. While the baby sleeps, the drunk
Gonzalo tells him about Carmen, Lucia, Javier, etc.
Carmen and
Adolfo make love. Carmen says that she doesn’t regret it, but feels strange,
doesn’t understand herself.
Manuel takes
Lucia to the apartment. She tells him she doesn’t want to talk to anybody.
Lucia tells
Carmen and Enrique what happened. She embraces her mother.
Gonzalo tells
Sergio and Maria that Lucia’s nightmare is over, but Sergio feels guilty for
letting Lucia marry Javier. Gonzalo tells Sergio that he won’t say he’s wrong,
but Javier is dead, both he and Lucia have to look forward. Sergio tells
Gonzalo that he won’t fail Maria or their baby while he is gone. Maria says
good-bye to Gonzalo, asks him to call her when he’s lonely. Gonzalo gets in the
elevator, says good-bye.
Carmen and
Enrique talk in the garden or a park. He asks her what she is going to do.
“Live alone”, she says. She mentions that with all the talk of the divorce, she
still has the ring. Enrique says he doesn’t want to interfere, but Gonzalo was
right in thinking that Adolfo is interested in her. Enrique tells Carmen that
Gonzalo loves her, shouldn’t let him go.
Carmen visits
Maria and Sergio, learns that Gonzalo has left, tried to call her but she
wasn’t in. All Carmen says is “que pena”. She goes in to look at her
grandchild. Before leaving, she tells Maria to call if she needs any help.
Graciela says
good-bye to Gonzalo, says she will miss him, that he should count on her
calling him when she needs help. She asks if he wouldn’t like Carmen to come to
him, ask him to stay. He tells her life isn’t a movie. He goes into the
restaurant, sits alone at a table. A cab drives up to the hotel and Carmen gets
out. She sits alone at a table. Gonzalo crosses the street and gets into a cab.
He doesn’t see her and she doesn’t see him. The cab drives away. Then Carmen
looks out the window.
Manuel goes
home, sits down, alone.
Carmen talks to
Quique in the garden, tells him that Gonzalo left, was probably just too busy
or forgot to call him to say good-bye. Carmen tells Quique she went to the
hotel but decided she didn’t have the right to try to change his mind. She
tells Quique that she loves Gonzalo, will always love him, but, sometimes, love
isn’t enough. Then Gonzalo arrives, greets Quique, promises they will always
keep in touch. Gonzalo tells Carmen what Graciela asks. She starts to say that
she went, but he stops her. He says something. Then she tells him that she
feels she made a huge mistake with him. When she knew he would leave the city,
she felt awfu. He tells her he doesn’t understand what she is trying to say,
she talks of guilt, solitude, but not love. She tells him she did go to the
hotel, but didn’t have the strength to say good-bye. He shows her two tickets, says that he hoped until the last moment
that she would come with him. HE says some more, then says that, unfortunately,
it is over. He tears up the ticket as she asks him not to. He tells her it is
doesnt. He tells her he doesn’t want to listen to her explanations. He wishes
her luck, then walks away.

ULTIMO CAPÍTULO
Carmen wakes up
Lucia, shows her the torn up ticket. Carmen asks Lucia to go out to the garden
with her, it is the night of the full moon, would like to perform a little
ceremony.
Sergio comes
home to Maria, upset. He looked all day for work, but she should have seen how
people acted when they learned he had a criminal past. She tells him that being
depressed won’t help. She refuses to feel pity for him.
Regina gets
angry with Enrique when he invites her to move in with him. Regina tells him
she isn’t a “housewife”. She wants to be free; he can be free. She tells him
she isn’t a one-man woman, tells him to think about it.
Carmen and Lucia
sit by a fire. Lucia burns things of Javier, admits that she isn’t yet free of
him. Quique joins them.
Sergio visits Enrique. Francisco tells Sergio that he just got
out of jail the day before. Sergio says the problem will never go away. Enrique
offers him money. Sergio rejects it. They hug. Sergio leaves, says he will be
fine.
Carmen brushes
her hair, looks at the torn ticket.
Sergio visits
Carmen. Quique takes him to the fire, says he is the best brother he has, asks
if he would like to stay the night, there is a spare bed. Sergio warns him that
he snores.
Sergio,
Francisco, Carmen and Lucia take a birthday cake into Carmen’s bedroom and
can’t find her, look in the bathroom, finally give up. Quique explains. The
night before he found her packing. She tells him that she is leaving early in
the morning, doesn’t want the others to know. Carmen tells Quique that she has
been a mother since she was very young, isn’t complaining, but thinks there is
more. She tells him she is going to find what belongs to her. He asks if she is
going alone, with Gonzalo? Carmen doesn’t answer directly, just says that she
is making the best decision for everybody. Quique says she told him to say that
each of them has a bed, that she loves them all, that they understand and
support her. They accept it.
While Sergio
looks at the Want Ads, Maria asks to talk with him. She tells Sergio she
doesn’t know how to act, what to say, has realized that her happiness depends
on her, not on him. She tells him that if he can’t take the responsibility of a
family, she can manage alone and he can always see Camilo. She tells Sergio
that they can live on her salary while he studies. He tells her that he doesn’t
want to be maintained. She says “just for now”, and she will expect him to care
for their child. He tells her it is time to assume responsibilities. She tells
him their son is a responsibility. She suggests they exchange roles for a
while, confidence? patience? She gives him Camilo. He agrees.
The doorbell
rings and Enrique answers it. It is Regina. She asks if his answer is short or
long. He tells her that he is willing to try it, under her conditions. She
closes the door, comes toward him, seduces him...in spite of his objections
that he is a “decent” man.
Carmen walks on
an empty beach, looks around. Finally, she sees Gonzalo, tells him that she
wants to talk to him about them. She says that she made a mistake,
miscalculated the cost of sending him away. He asks her what he means to her.
She says everything: stability, tranquility, love, everything. He asks her if
it included Adolfo. She tells him that Adolfo doesn’t matter. That’s why she is
here. She says she wants them to try again. He asks her if it is that simple,
that she made a mistake? Did she ever think of him? She asks him to take her
hand, her body, put her into his heart. She goes into his arms, says that she
loves him. He tells her that he loves her so much, he is afraid to say yes. He
tells her that he’s never loved a woman as he has loved her. That’s why he has
to say no. He asks her what he can do with his jealousy of Adolfo. She tells
him nothing matters but the two of them. He says he wants to say yes, but no.
He tells her it is over. She says she made a mistake, asks him to forgive her,
hold her. He hugs her, pulls back, tells her that he came her to start a new
life, alone, without her. He tells her that he’s been hurt too much, hasn’t the
energy to try to enter her life again. She tells him that he doesn’t have to
try, he’s in her life. She begs him not to leave her, needs him more than
anybody. He tells her they can’t start from zero. He tells her it would be a
mistake to try again. He tells her it was a mistake to come. It’s over. He
gives her his wedding ring. She begs him not to leave. He turns and walks away.
She says his name. He stops and continues walking. She turns toward the ocean.
He stops but then keeps on walking away.
Manuel asks
Lucia to forgive him. She tells him that she loves him, a lot, but she wants to
be alone. She tells him she needs time and space. She cries. He holds her. He
pulls back, tells her that’s why he came, to say good-bye. He walks away,
stops, turns around and says he is doing this because he knows that one day
they will get back together. He walks away, says to himself that he is doing
this, todo por amor. She cries and waves good-bye.
Carmen tries to
pay for her hotel room, learns that it is “on the house”. She walks out to the
taxi, goes off to the airport .... just as Gonzalo runs out the front door and
calls her name. He intercepts the taxi. She gets out. He says he dreamed of her
the night before and when he woke up, he realized that the past was past, that
he has always loved her, still loves her. They hug and kiss. He says he was stupid,
doesn’t know how he could say it was over when everything in him said it
wasn’t. He tells her he is going to show her a wonderful place. He gets in the taxi with her. They go to the
ocean, hug, walk through the waves, lay on the sand, dig out a baby turtle. As
the sun sets, they kiss and hug.
A quotation,
starting “Todos los dias le arranco el aguijon” appears on the screen.
